Hi guys, today I will be talking to you about negativity and how to get rid of negativity. Negativity is actually a way of life. It's a fact of life. We are not sadhus or saints. Where we always have positive thoughts. We always have incidences around our family, around our homes, which will bother us, or something that has triggered a feeling in us or an emotion in us, and that in turn goes and triggers a negative emotion. It's not bad to have a negative emotion. You cannot avoid a negative emotion. It's absolutely okay, and that's absolutely normal to to have a negative emotion. What you need to understand is what has triggered the negative emotion and how are you going to get rid of it. So the first thing I want you to do on a day-to-day basis is I want you to focus 100% on your goals. What did you wake up on that morning for? And what is your purpose for that day? When you focus on that 100%, you will not be nurturing any negative thoughts. Any thoughts that come in after that need to be dealt with in a more mature manner. A lot of negativity also comes from self-talk. I am not good enough. Why did he say that? God alone knows why these things happen to me only. It should not have happened to me. So on and so forth. These are negative mind chatters in our mind. Now, because of these negative mind chatters in our mind, this is what creates— activates negativity in us. Now, if on a day-to-day basis we do not work on these issues, if on a day-to-day basis we do not get rid of these negative chatters, mind chatters, then they become a part of our life. I'm not saying it's going to be easy. It is going to be tough. You know, in our community, there was a girl, her name was Savita. She had constant negative thoughts. I worked with her slowly when she joined the community, and I made her do a lot of meditations. So sometimes even a lot of meditations help, and it was only after 3 months was she able to get rid of her negativity. You know, it takes time. It takes time for you to work on yourself. Don't expect results overnight, but results are there if you believe in the fact that if you took adequate action, then you're going to get the desired results. Now for you to take the adequate action, you need to practice a lot. Practice, practice, and practice. Each time you have a negative thought, be aware of the fact and work on it. Work on it with a lot of love, work on it with a lot of empathy, work on it with a lot of affection. Experience self-worth. Negativity also comes around when you don't have enough self-worth. So working on yourself is actually going to help you in getting rid of the negativity. Are we going to get that negativity again? Yes, tomorrow another incident happens, some maybe at your place of work, and maybe you'll get those thoughts again. So don't feel that why me, why this, why that. Work on the why, work on the reason, work on the incident on a day-to-day basis. And you will be able to fight and you'll be able to get rid of negativity on a regular basis. So there are a few steps that I want to share with you. Step number 1, which is going to help you to get rid of negativity. Step number 1 is keep yourself super grounded. When I say super grounded, stay in the moment, live in the moment, and get rid of any egos. A lot of negativity comes about when you have a lot of egos. I, me, myself. When you get rid of the focus goes away from I, me, myself, and you focus on helping somebody else, you focus on guiding somebody else, or focus on mentoring somebody else, then you start feeling grounded. You will understand your purpose. And you don't have to be a coach to do all this. You can do it for your family members, for your children, for your loved ones, for your parents. Not by giving them lectures, but by just being a grounded, non-egoistic person. Now, whenever— another thing is, whenever you go through this negativity, don't bash yourself up, don't beat yourself up, don't say that, oh my God, Dinah said this is what I need to do, and now again I went and dropped down. Do I have negative thoughts? Of course I do. I'm not a Sadhu or a Baba or anything. I also have negative thoughts. But I work on myself every single day. I work on myself— I try to work on myself every single minute. That's the level of awareness with which I live. Even if you do it on a day-to-day basis, guys, even if you do it once in a day, you're still better than the rest of the people around you. So therefore, it's absolutely okay to allow the negative thoughts to creep in. But the point here is you got to work on— work on it step by step. Now, a lot of times you have a lot of negative chatter with not only yourself, but when you're talking to somebody else. Say you're— something has happened and you're talking to a friend, or a friend has gone through something and you're talking to her or him about it, or a parent or a sibling. You are dissecting the entire incident that has happened and that is bothering you with a lot of negativity. How many people in this world are looking at a negative incident with positivity? Just a handful. So instead of discussing the hell of the— hell out of the entire incident, why don't we just take a step back and see all the positive things that happened in the incident? And draw in positivity. When you draw into the positivity of the incident, the negativity will all automatically fade down. Another very good way, and that works for me tremendously, another really, really good way to get rid of negativity is affirmations. Most people don't do affirmations on a regular basis. When I say affirmations, making a statement like I am enough, I am worthy, I am trustworthy, I am happy, I am healthy, I am myself— these are all positive affirmations. Now you need to make a list of your positive affirmations and at least read them out every day, at least once in a day. When you read them out every day, once in a day, you will start feeling positive from inside. So when you have a negative thought, the right thing to do is to eliminate the negative thought and replace it with a positive affirmation. That's how you get rid of negativity and you bring in positivity. And that is possible only when you've aligned yourself with your life purpose. Your life purpose could be a mother, to be a great mother. Your life purpose could be a great boss. Your life purpose could be a coach. You could be a trainer. You could be a chef. You could be an engineer. You could be a doctor. Whatever is your life purpose, it could be a homemaker. Focus on your life purpose and create your goal. Work around the energy of your goal. When you're constantly focused on your life purpose and you work around the energies of your goal, the chances of having negativity is less. And when you do have it also, replace it with positive thoughts and stay cheerful, stay happy, and stay positive all the time, every time. Thank you. Where you are, I will be. My love.
