Welcome to this mini series on how to build up effective habits for your health and fitness journey. Today I will be talking to you about habits to do with exercise. First, let's take a deeper look and a closer look at why exercise is so important and why building habits for exercise is so important. The first thing is being consistent. When you build up habits for your workout routines, you'll start getting consistent results. Secondly, mental well-being. Habits for exercise will help you in becoming mentally stronger, and when you become mentally stronger, your habits towards your workout become more regular and more consistent. It also helps you in longevity and health because, you know, it's just not about health, but it's about the quality of life that you should be living. We are going to live longer, but the question is, are you going to live better? It's also going to help you to increase your energy levels so that by the end of the day you really don't feel tired. And last but not the least, good habits towards your exercise is going to help you towards being more disciplined. If you're disciplined towards your health and fitness journey, you're also going to be really disciplined in everything and anything that you do in life. So here are few ways in which you can build up really strong habits so that you're consistent with your exercise. Are you ready? Number 1, start small. Do one step at a time, do a few minutes a day, and then build it up. Just because you feel very enthusiastic, don't start and try to run a marathon. Number 2, set yourself specific goals. What do you want to achieve in the first month? What do you want to achieve in the second month? What do you want to achieve in the third month? Number 3, create a workout schedule. Now for our community members, we create the workout schedule and we give it to them. So 3 days we do mixed cardio and 3 days we do strength training. And by creating a schedule for yourself, you will do the activity which you are really fond of doing, and so it becomes more sustainable. Track your progress. Now for those of you are part of the community, the NAS Fitness community, remember that you can always go to the self-assessment module, click on the link, download all the trackers. Or even at the Zenfit modules, click on the link, download the trackers. But for those of you who are not part of the community, just make sure that you are tracking your progress— food tracker, workout log, and your weight and measurements. By tracking your progress, you will know exactly where you started, how you have built up your habits, and where your journey is. And you're going to get predictable results. Next, I want you to know that create an accountability partner. If you are part of the DFC community, go to the app and keep sharing your progress. You'll find a friend, you'll find a community member who is always there to hold your hand. By doing this, your habits for your exercise routine will be amazing. Last but not the least, I want you to remove all the barriers. Stop thinking that I can't do this, I don't have the time, I don't know what to do. Just remove all the barriers, be consistent, and most important is stay flexible. If you are flexible, then you get the amazing results. Like for example, for all our Gold and Diamond members, we have the recordings available of the live sessions. So even if you can't attend a live session, go to the archives on course module is called On Demand Fitness. Click on that link, Find that module and do the exercise that suits you. By doing this and by building up habits for your exercise, it's a great way to start. And stay tuned for my next series.
