In this instructional video, presenter Deaz (Deenaz) warns teenagers about the dangers of heavy weightlifting, especially using barbells and heavy dumbbells, which can damage growth plates in the shoulder area and impede growth. She emphasizes the need for caution despite teens' enthusiasm to emulate adult gym routines. Deaz then outlines safer, effective alternatives: outdoor sports, functional training with lighter dumbbells, circuit training that rotates stations to avoid overloading a single joint, high‑intensity interval training (HIIT) for multi‑muscle work and hormone regulation, and body‑weight exercises such as push‑ups and squats. Throughout, she stresses using one's own body weight or lighter equipment to protect developing joints, and concludes with a motivational call to subscribe and stay tuned for more content.

If you're a teenager, you should definitely be watching this video. I've seen that a lot of teenagers today want to work out because they want to look good, they want to feel good, they want to feel stronger, and they also want to copy their adults. I want you to know that if you're a teenager, you have to be very, very careful about the kind of work workout that you can do. Hi, my name is Deenaz, and in this video I will be telling you what exercises a teenager should be doing and whether a teenager can really lift weights or not. Most teenagers today want to go to the gym and do all the big bulky workouts that the adults are doing. The muscles and the joints of a teenager are really not that formed, so it takes a while, and all the growth plates lie in the shoulder blades. So when you work out in the gym, and if you're a teenager and you're working out in the gym and you're lifting very heavy weights, for example, a barbell or heavy dumbbells, and doing heavy pull-ups, that's the time that the growth plate gets disturbed in the shoulder joint, and that's what stops you from growing further. So as much as you're very enthusiastic, enthusiastic to go to a gym and work out, you need to be careful of not doing heavy weights. However, there are several other various awesome options there for teenagers. For example, one of the best options teenagers can do is play, go outdoors and play an outdoor sport. The next best option is to do functional training. So if you really want to get ripped and strong and feel really good, you can do functional training exercises where you're doing multimuscle and multijoint muscles at the same time. However, it's better to use dumbbells rather than barbells and machines, and that way the workouts will be much safer. Another very safe workout for children, for teenagers, is circuit training. So you actually set up a circuit of, say, a weight circuit or a cardio circuit, and then something to do with abs. So when you set up an entire station and you go from one station to the other, you're not really putting too much stress on one muscle or one joint, and that way the workout for the teenager becomes much safer. The next good workout for a teenager is a HIIT workout, which is a high-intensity interval training workout where you're doing again multi-muscle, multi-joint workout, and it also helps you in releasing a lot of the high energies that are coming out of your hormones. Last but not the least, A good circuit workout will also help you, and functional training exercises will also help you. So you need to do workouts such as circuits and functional using your own body weight rather than external resistance. For example, when you want to strengthen your upper body, you can do push-ups. You can do push-ups from your knees, you can do push-ups from your toes, you can do all that and you're safe. When you want to strengthen your lower legs, You need not really go and do a leg press. You can actually do squats using your own body weight, and that way you're strengthening your legs and your muscles using your own body weight, which is a very safe way to do it. So teenagers, as much as you're very enthusiastic and you want to replicate and copy all the adults in the gym, be very careful and be very mindful of what you are doing. You could do harm to yourself rather than giving yourself the benefit of the actual exercise program. Hope this has really inspired all my young friends out there, and stay tuned because much more is on the way.
