A short YouTube monologue by Dr. Don Wood outlining three signs of anxiety: (1) fear of the future — persistent worrying and predicting negative outcomes based on past experiences; (2) hyper-vigilance — constant scanning for problems, bodily tightness, and easy reactivity; and (3) over-exaggerating problems — magnifying small issues into extreme outcomes. The video aims to help viewers recognize common anxiety patterns.

There are three signs that you're suffering from anxiety. What is anxiety? First of all, anxiety is fear of the future. Now this could come from previous experiences you've had in your lifetime where you've had some things go wrong. And then you start thinking about what's going to happen if that happens again. So here are some signs that you're dealing with anxiety if you're always living in fear. So they're always worried about every situation that's coming up and that's predicting that something's going to happen in the future that may never happen. So fear is a big symptom of anxiety. Another one is hyper vigilance. Always looking for the problem and seeing what could go wrong constantly. So you're on constant guard. You feel like you're stressed, you're tight, and that tightness is coming from that hyper vigilance of just waiting. And then the slightest little activation will set you off. The other one is over exaggerating a problem. So something goes wrong. And then it's just like, you see, that always happens to me. Everything goes wrong. Nothing works out over exaggerating even the small, smallest problem and taking it all the way down to an extreme result. So those are the three things that you're probably going to experience if you're dealing with anxiety.
