I began to isolate myself more and more from friends and family. It's really hard to explain why, but I was just different. And I know that some veterans will relate to this fact. My kids, my family, everybody, friends and co workers. It seemed like in my mind, they treat me a little differently. In my eyes, I thought they had changed, but in reality, it was me who changed. And I didn't know how to return to the person that I was.
So now, you know, nobody can understand me, but I understand. I get it now. It began to ruin me. And then they diagnosed me with PTSD due to my traumatic experience overseas. I held this trauma internally for several years until I had a meltdown at my mom's birthday party, which was very traumatic. And I talked about my experiences with my family for the very first time. I really didn't want to appear at that time to be weak in front of anybody, especially myself. But they would no longer allow me to carry my duty weapon at that point, in my last duty station as a law enforcement officer and an agent, it rendered me ineffective. I have to admit that it was really not my intention to retire when I did in 2014, but it was recommended by the medical professionals who dealt with this kind of thing with PTSD before. But I guess now I'm glad that I took their advice. Otherwise, I may not be speaking to you right now. My biggest mistake, I guess, was choosing to not talk to anyone. If I knew of tip, then I could probably still be in the Air Force. Toward the end of active duty, I began having night terrors regarding my trauma, of which I had nightly for several years. Consequently, I woke up multiple times in the morning with my head cut open. A sprained ankle split my knee open, both knees, actually, to name a few. According to my wife, I was walking through the house with my handgun, looking for the bad guys in the middle of the night. She was so scared to sleep next to me. And I found it more and more difficult to fall asleep for the sake of hurting myself. I was terrified. I felt like I was a burden on everyone. I was angry, hard to get along with. Suddenly began to question my purpose in life, really. After getting progressively worse, my wife did some research. She. She helped me out a lot, and she informed me of a place called the Inspire Performance Institute. I had no idea what that was. I guess they had the capability to heal those who had ptsd, among many other neurological problems, so they could help everybody. After years of night terrors that led to my moving into the guest room of our home, my lovely Wife shared the problem with a co worker who paid for one of their kids to go through the TIP program before and it worked for that individual. He stated that the inspired performance program was designed to reset the mind and clear the way to like greater calm, focus and really optimal performance. I was really skeptical but still gave it a try. You know, I thought why not? This is the last thing my wife and family noticed an immediate change afterwards and only for about, you know, like from a four, four hour one on one therapy session with Dr. Wood. That same night I slept through the night. I had zero nightmares. And to this day I have not had one nightmare since. Or had to search my house for the bad guys, Taliban, Al Qaeda, any of those. Even my parents continue to tell me how they can't believe that I'm so calm and no longer stressed about anything. And it's the truth. The logic and the tip techniques really make sense. And after a four hour session with Dr. Wood, I felt like a weight was completely like lifted off my shoulders. I wish you guys could experience the feeling of clarity that I felt that day. Once I quickly understood how to apply these simple methods to my individual trauma, I began to apply to everyday life situations. Simple stuff that would have otherwise made me really shut down like I would prior to the program. My previously stored traumatic memories are now more difficult to in my mind. It's awesome. We did an exercise during the four hour training session that like jumbled up the images in my mind. It was crazy. As a matter of fact, as I sit here, I can't really recall even two of my traumatic experiences. If I do stumble upon them later, which I may, I have the tools now to really make them vanish without even looking back. Seriously, I do so happy on behalf of my family, myself and everyone else I may encounter in life. I just want to thank the folks at TIP for rearranging my mindset. My relationships with all people have improved as I follow the words and audio in the 28 day brain entrainment program audios of Dr. Wood. I stopped two of my medications and I am on the way to weaning off more of them to keep on track. I purchased these audios from them so I can be in a continuous alpha state of mind and you'll learn more about alpha. I love myself again. My life is better. Those around me appear to be much happier due to my reset. The outlook for my future is so bright and anything is possible now. Since continuing this program, I recommend this program to anyone and everyone who wants to make a big change in their life for the better. Military athletes, doctors, lawyers, whoever, anybody in the world, they can all always perform better. We all can. I'm living proof that it works.
