Welcome to the twelve Days of Heart Holiday anxiety reduction tips. This is tip number 12 for day number 12 again. I'm Dr. Don Wood of the Inspire Performance Institute and I've been your guide throughout this series. So tip number 12. We're going to get into the holiday spirit. Put on my hat again.
And if you notice, this hat is bah humbug. And the reason I did that one is because this is the last one. This is the 12th day, 12th day of heart. So bah humbug, this is over. I hope you've had as much fun as I have doing these. So let's go into 12 days on the 12th day of Christmas. 12th day my true love gave to me. 12 drummers drumming. Okay, again, we're not literally. All right. So my brother played the drums. So you may be wondering, was he good? If you mean loud, he was that. My dad would say, you're good and loud. My brother thought it was a compliment. I was 10 years younger and I knew what it meant. Right. I think he concussed himself. I really do. So let's look at research about drummers.
So the drummer in a band lays the foundation, provides the pulse and brings the groove for the track, letting the rest of the band express themselves creatively. My brother, I think, was responsible for the start of breaking guitars on stages. I really do. So regardless, you can either be the drummer for your life or find a drummer for your life. And what I mean by that, either way, you're in the band, right? Start connecting with people that fit with your life, that provide that beat, that groove. So when you find that connection, connection brings Joy. So number 12. Tip number 12 is find connection and joy. Work on that, right? And you do that by finding your drummer, or be the drummer in your life and be the drummer for somebody else. When you find joy and connection, anxiety falls off just like water off a duck's back. I'm sorry, I just had to use that reference one more time for a bird. So my hope is that you enjoyed all these tips and that you can experience your holidays anxiety free. Take care. Happy holidays. And there it is.
