A short video (Day 5) in the "12 Days of Heart" series by Dr. Don Wood offering a brief holiday-anxiety tip: use breathing and meditation to calm the nervous system. The speaker introduces the episode playfully (references to the "five golden rings" lyric and birds) and recommends starting small with guided meditation apps or short daily practice (e.g., 1 minute morning/night, gradually increasing). The series is produced by Dr. Don Wood / Inspire Performance Institute.

Think I'm stretching them out a little bit. Right? I've been good, so that's true. I've been good. Let's get Alexa involved. Alexa, play some holiday music.
Here's a station you might like. Holiday favorites on Amazon. Holiday favorites.
Sleigh bells. Perfect. All right, so this is the fifth day. Let's see what we've got up on the fifth day. On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me. Five golden rings. See how that optimism pays off right now? Five golden rings. Perfect. Right, let's see where that's now. Now we're moving. Now we're getting somewhere. So five golden rings. Let's do this research.
Uh oh. The golden rings are almost certainly ring necked pheasants. Ring pheasants are. They used to be called the gold would be the color of the wings or perhaps the female plumage. Birds again. I should have known it. Day six is geese. Day seven is swans. Oh, right. Birds. All right, let's calm down. So holidays, right? Let's take some time, let's think about it. And that's day five. Tip.
Do something to calm down. What can you do? Well, we have the breathing. We have a few things that we can do also. Meditation, meditate. If you have an app, get an app that does meditation. There's lots of apps out there, so some are even free, some you can buy. But get a meditation app if that could help you. Meditation calms down, gets the nervous system to regulate again and so that will calm down, release the anxiety. We even have our own audios as well that you can listen to. You can always check those out. Those are really good. And if you're having you haven't experienced meditation or know what to do, start off with it, maybe one minute, one minute in the morning, get used to it. It's a combination of building up. So a minute in the morning, minute at night, go to 2 minutes, 5 minutes, wherever you can find. You can even go online and find different kinds of apps. So whenever that feeling comes up, do something about it, take some action, be proactive and use some meditation to help you stay calm. So that's tip number five. Right. A lot more birds, but we're calm. So perfect. So keep looking for some more of these tips in your inbox. And there it is.
