Hi, my name is Michelle. This is my first session at the Inspired Performance Institute. I've been battling with addiction for nearly 17 years. It's been a really hard road.
I've lost my daughter in the process and I love her dearly, but I can't seem to get her back because. Because I'm in and out of rehabs and treatment centers and I've been just trying to build and get my life back. My husband's passed away. I had a friend, dear friend of mine pass away. And I've just watched this disease kill so many people around me.
Spiritually and physically. So I'm looking forward to this first session and hope that this treatment works.
Myself.
So I'm Dr. Wood. I'm working here with Michelle today. The first thing we're going to be doing is an AO scan to sort of give us a read on what's going on physically with Michelle before we start her onto the four hour session for the tip program. So Michelle, can you just put the headset on?
There we go.
Is that tight enough?
It's okay.
And so what we're going to be doing is we're going to be just doing a scan and we're going to start the scan now and then we're going to do a frequency optimization.
All right, ready?
Okay. So right now Michelle and I are going to go, we're going to do the four hour tip session and once we get back from that, that's our program designed to sort of get trauma cleared up, start working on performance, get the central nervous system calmed down, which will make a big effect on how you're feeling. Okay, so we'll come back, we do the four hour session, we'll do another AL scan to see what has changed in the. On the report that we just did.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
Hi, my name is Michelle. I've been battling with uppers and downers for nearly 617 years. I wouldn't wish this life on anybody. It has stood in the way of college scholarships, great jobs, relationships in pretty much all areas of my life. They say for addicts, the ends are always the same. Jails, institutions and death. I have found this to be true just last year. I've had legal problems, numerous rehabs and two overdoses.
I try everything to stay clean. Church, AA, NA meetings, a sponsor working the 12 steps. But still every day the thought of using enters my.
And haunts me every. Ah, messed up.
Okay, just keep going. So whenever you're ready.
But still every day the thought of Using haunts me at any time of the day, including drug dreams. I heard about the Inspire Performance Institute and have met with Dr. Dawn Wood. I'm eager to do anything to help me function like a normal person. I've experienced emotional and physical abuse growing up and it is carried into my relationships with significant others. I'm traumatized by men and just am scared to be alone. My husband went to prison for battery by strangulation on me. Died three years ago. A boyfriend, much like my husband, also died three months ago from a heroin overdose. And I've been trying to gain custody of my daughter for five years. If this treatment works, it will be a miracle. Life changing.
So yesterday I did a four hour session with Dr. Wood and we went through some of my past trauma. And in the past I've done emdr. And you know, after doing that, you're left feeling worse than when you started.
What I did with Dr. Wood was a very thorough but much different approach to it. And after we walked through the trauma, he replaced the trauma with some of my attributes and some of my positive memories and some of my dreams and goals of the future. So in the end, it was a very positive experience and I was left feeling like a new light had opened or had shined on me for the future. So we're on day two now and let's see see how today goes.
Right now, Michelle is in the theta chamber, which is, as you can see, doing the spinning. When she gets out, we're going to just ask her a little bit of what she experienced. This is her first time in the theta chamber and it's really working on a number of different issues for her. I want to describe that a little bit, exactly how that works.
So this is my first time in a theta chamber.
I wore these goggles that had laser lights, but I had my eyes closed and you could see like little shapes with my eyes closed. And then listened to beats in my ears, these and was circling around in a circle, but really just felt like I was floating. And he said it was 20 minutes, but I swear it was only five. So it was kind of neat.
Just a relaxing.
Machine, I would say.
So this is my first time in a hyperbaric chamber and it's pretty nice here. There's ac. This thing pumps oxygen in a mass for me and it just pressurizes and your ears pop and just feels like every time they pop, there's more mental clarity and I guess oxygen going through me. Pretty neat experience.
Hi. So today has been exactly one week since the day I started with Dr. Wood in the Inspired Performance Institute, and I could tell you that I feel physically, mentally, emotionally like a different person. I am feeling very positive about life since. Since the day that we first started treatment. I have completely quit smoking cigarettes. And what's crazier is I don't even have a desire to even want to pick one up or even smell it. I'm, like, completely free from smoking and no thoughts to use drugs, alcohol, or anything. I'm really feeling great about this program, and I just can't wait to see how much better things can just go up from here. So thank you, Dr. Wood, and the Inspire Performance Institute.
