Hi, my name is Sunny Jacobs, and aside from being a mother and a grandmother, I, at one point in my life, was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death for a crime I didn't commit. And I spent 17 years in prison, five of which were on death row. And.
Finally, after 17 years, I we were able to prove my innocence with the help of lawyers who worked for free and friends who refused to let go of me. But in the interim, I lost my parents in a plane crash, and my children went into foster care. And my husband was executed two years before her innocence was proven. And so when I got out, I was 27 years old when I went in. And by the time I got out, I was 45. And, of course, no one would hire me. And so I enjoyed myself teaching yoga, which was one of the tools that I used to get through my ordeal. Yoga, meditation, and prayer. And everybody thought that when I was released, that would be the end of my problems. And that's what I thought, too. But in fact, I was faced with a whole new set of problems for which I wasn't prepared.
So eventually, I was able to overcome most of those problems and make a new life for myself. But still, I was faced with the after effects of all the trauma that I had gone through. And.
That was when I met Dawn Wood. And that's when I decided to try inspired performance therapy. And I must tell you, I wish the whole world would take cat therapy, because I think it would be a much happier and more peaceful place.
As a result, I feel that I'm much more stable and calm, and my energy is much more clear, and I'm able to work with other people now who have suffered a similar traumatic experience to the one that I suffered and able to help them in a much deeper way. My husband and I now run a center called the Sunny center for people who are wrongly convicted once they're released. And I recommend the therapy to all of them. And I hope that in future, everyone will do a much better.
