Good evening Hollywood and Welcome to the 20.5 Promise to Live Global Live Stream and Gala 2 from Ray Beer in the entertainment capital of the world. Tonight isn't just another night in the city. This is a movement of celebration and a mission to bring hope, help, healing and resources to millions across the globe. Whether you're here in the Avalon theater or joining us online, thank you for being part of this life saving night.
A few words Anybody knows me knows I'm bipolar. I was diagnosed when I was 22 years old. I was a mental institution. I ended up saving mass and third one. I went public on the open warfare show and I haven't shut up since.
I created a show called save money on YouTube because I want to be able to talk about mental health in life. Anybody who is mentally ill knows that there's a lot of suffering that comes with it. And every time I go through something to ask God why again and come to the conclusion God wants me to suffer to prevent other people from suffering.
Anyway, we have incredible lineup ahead. Inspiring speakers, powerful performances and unforgettable moments. And the best part is everybody on the stage is doing this because they care deeply and are given their time talents to part of the solution. This is the night of news messages and heroes and it starts now.
Long as it feels all.
Her life from the eye for a country cut deadlines that shaped her world now she on a nation can't beat she opted through foster care gave eyes a surrogate and can win moments of losing her own child to suicide. A moment that changed everything from that night she refused to stay silent Brandi Yeager founder of prom steer a global movement treating me as igniting conversations that saved lives and challenging world make promise that changed everything. Tis not just awareness tis action this is hope on the alliance of battle with count for twos lead welcome Bradley Vega.
Although I didn't mean thank you guys for being here four years ago I made a promise that literally changed everything. I promised God that he was like I would do everything I could tell save others became the spark that started Promise to live and been a while beautiful amazing right? It's been look at this but speaking of right I want to share it on with you.
Why'D you find a single not because we know if we do our do you guys know that people who make promise a safe state among the promise in general are 60% more likely to keep it sorry, 60%. That's why we invite everyone everywhere to make the promise to live when you're in this safe place and safe state of night you promise friend a family member or call or text none of us rises if we do in 6 days 0 months we know that if we make this promise our odds of their writing have gone up. So even when we tell ourselves enough which sometimes happens with other people we want to honor our word because that's who we are is awareness is not enough we know his problem right now it's time to shift surreal action especially this day when we're diverted however we need to take action and accountability to the power of promised lid I want to show you a little bit of highlight of what we've been building four years ago Amsterdam began with one simple idea Promise and save a life since then We've reached over 4 million people in 117 countries crime build hope real tools and real connection we hosted 18 mental health town halls activated schools, businesses, families and veterans. We created safe spaces where honest conversation can begin. We've lived over 75,000 pocket hunts nausea coins but casual were understagg you matter he's one half a club resources and a plumski bone you've honored the names we've lost and lifted up those who found swag to stay this movement is growing fast and powered by people like you who believe in acting not just mom's shared message help us save more lives this is prol pretty cool rain.
Thank you so much. No actually it's a sad video we can help almost 100,000 of these pocket guys and each of you claim your gift back coins every single one of these crazy story I don't care one that had me recently I.
Am she said I went to a near town hall's g talked to my husband who's a Vietnam veteran and I asked him to make the promise he brought she said me promise he keeps his soy in the fire every single day in the morning gets up but since I am nice she even washed a few times and holds very well thank you to treat her but one night that he got anymore and she said she knows she pray all night and at five six o' clock in the morning he tears in his eyes and SC him he said I'm here because the promise I ate Good because this damn coin.

I truly am honored to be here tonight and I've had a moment to talk with Bernard backstage and just meeting her and being both talked to her about the reason that Punt lives here and existing her just so inspiring to me. She has such purpose behind her message and so do I and so to be able to stand up here and be receiving award about resilience. It's about resilience also helping a person and we have so many people to inspire every single day. And we have so many people that we love. But what we really have to get across is that those people that are questioning our life every single day we have to them we have to see their more and they have something to be heard and something to see and accepted and we have to help them see their own purpose and their light and that's life. So who I just ab really mean so much to me. I love you. I love all you here. This is such an honor. It's an so beautiful to see you guys and hear you guys a message today that I hope I can be an example of that and continue on with a message that we can't stand strong every single day no matter what's going on. I really believe that no one's going through anything more or less another person and this is happening to you. It's how you accept it and how you walk through it and what is the message you're like to everyone else around you. And so if I can be an example of resilience and inspire someone else willing to let them know, do them with me. So thank you guys so much. I'm truly, truly honored but I really have not been able to do it myself. I would love to say that I'm this strong individual or not. I've had a beautiful family, you know, open arms to me while I've had my own eye elo's. I have a beautiful friends around me hearing my cries. I have a beautiful heart. I don't care who's inseparable of me. So I have a beautiful team of people that have just accepted all of me through all of it high levels, all the promotions. And so if we really allow those people to hunt our lives, we can handle so many beautiful and learn things. So thank you guys so much. I hope you have one for me. Thank you.

A powerhouse battle of voices Swords that heal and inspire actor and veteran bob roll burn fog founding drug turned psychologist Ryan D.C. creator and kid Brian Buck material the lecti Archer actor and founder of morning glory. Please we're so thankful you're here and I wanted to spend a little bit of time tonight with this amazing panel. We got Ryan who you saw on video and we've got Jack and Lexi and Rob and I think what people want here is you guys are famous celebrities and musicians. How do you each cope with your mental health anxiety? Do you want to show first? Sure. Well, I really struggled with mental health for about a decade afterb because really was a struggling for lack of purpose in my life. So for me when I'm feeling when I'm not feeling purposeful when I don't have something that I'm investing in myself so for me, being serviced was a way of making myself. I have the self obsession that leads to anxiety and depression and my alcoholism. So you know just any things that can create purpose and I myself and advocacy. Obviously I do that one one and a group.
My love about this group is everybody here has taken something and turned into purpose. So no Lexi, you lost your father suicide. And what did you do to get through that? Well, I started morning or club.
Suicide. What I found was community was just.
Willing to share their stories. I didn't feel alone when I found out with my superheroes and so I put them together and I created my own group. So if you encourage me, you can find there are lots of meetings that you can always hear. Thank you so much. We're veterans. We both served. Thank you.
Responders. Thank you so much. During the. How do you say.
Speaking of that community. That's why I came to. To get to know this issue better. I guess I have to get friends in that process. Learned a lot of responders that would have blowouts coming in all in those communities. And it's. It's a lot of. It's a lot of pain and it's not a mental issue. And one recurring theme I keeping over and over in all conversations has been the bubbles 30 when. When save themselves. And so that's one thing I've been trained work on with groups that I work with is an awareness is just. And that's easier but. But it's kind of so fast you don't even realize that you're lonely not talking to people. And if you don't have someone there, a friend, Holly, professional or anybody just put you in check a little bit gives perspective and say hold on, hold on. It's not. That's not what's coming out here. And since I seem to be here that alone save lives. So we can just keep talking. I think you know, I agree. Thank you. Okay. Yeah. Tell us about your situation. You're on a podcast. How do you fund yourself there? Well, I figured if it was a population that was really with anxiety and you know.
But I knew that like it was humility that always saved me where I think my wife was being with friends, forcing me get out of my bowl of shame and depression and sadness and thinking somebody was released to me. And so when I announced the BART podcast, it not only was an opportunity to share other people's stories of the going through the same struggle. It's also therapy for me to see my friend every week because now everybody get out of the house. And talk to him when they got some son had a really terrible week this week and just talk about it and feel better so that's been the big therapy and the guy.
I think big part of it is connection so as we segment I think I would love to hear from each of you said I what would you tell somebody who's watching who's either struggling or helping someone in that situation from whatever perspective you have so well for me you know I really had lost hope and couldn't see the because it was modern the feeling that the good time in my life had passed and there's nothing the I told me that was going to be then meaning me was going to be fulfilling and it was really because I was as isolating and retreated from a world that didn't recognize that purpose meaning are things that you can create in your life that you can go out into the world and you can actually find meaning not that you know universe has to like keep her head with wake up in the morning realize everything I care about everything that I want to do in this life and that's very true it's for everyone so whoever you are whatever your whatever your passions are for me just have to be.
I won't live.
Thank you I would say don't be ashamed don't be afraid to ask for help every person who's ever come to ask me it's been honor for me to treat that he saw me as a resource you surprised.

In that moment of despair, I believed that my pain would never ever end. But by God's good grace, by the compassion of strangers and by a miracle sea lion and the water's blow, I survived.
