But when I wrote the book, I said, here are 10 things that successful people don't do, as opposed to saying, here's what they do. And one of the things I put in there, successful people don't blame other people when things go wrong. They take responsibility for those kinds of things. And if they're not taking responsibility, then it's probably because they had an experience where maybe they were overly criticized, so they're trying to deflect blame. But successful people don't do that. So, you know, I had the person say to me, well, you know, the person I hired, they ended up doing a terrible job, and it cost me a lot of money. You know, like, I'm not supposed to blame them. I said, you hired them.
I had people tell me, I want to hire an assistant, but I don't really know what I want. I said, well, you need to get really clear on what it is that you want. And once you can visualize what it is that you want, then finding that person is a whole lot easier.
