Don't offer a lecture to someone who needs a hug. We live in a world addicted to fixing things. Every problem must have a plan, a framework, and a strategy, but not everything needs to be solved. Sometimes people just need to feel seen. I think the truth is most advice is noise when someone's in pain. What they remember aren't words, it's your presence. As leaders and friends and parents, we're so focused on being right that we oftentimes forget to be kind. And empathy doesn't mean weakness, it means awareness. And entrepreneurs, I want you to remember this: emotional intelligence isn't a soft skill, it's a power skill. The ability to understand and connect and calm others is what keeps teams loyal and families strong. So before you speak, listen. And before you solve, I want you to feel. Because people don't follow those who have all the answers, they follow those who make them feel understood.
