In this inaugural episode of the Sexual Health for Men podcast, Dr. Anne Truong, an intimate‑health physician and author of Erectile Dysfunction Fix, delivers a rapid‑fire overview of twelve ways regular sexual activity benefits men’s health beyond the bedroom. She frames sex as a form of moderate exercise that burns calories, supports cardiovascular health, and lowers blood pressure. She explains how orgasm triggers the release of dopamine, oxytocin, prolactin, and endorphins, which together improve mood, reduce anxiety and depression, and act as natural painkillers for migraines and tension‑type headaches. The episode highlights immunity‑boosting effects, a striking reduction in prostate‑cancer risk for men who ejaculate frequently, and improvements in sleep quality through oxytocin and cortisol reduction. Dr. Truong also links sexual activity to stress relief, enhanced cognitive function (memory, concentration, learning), increased lifespan, and heightened self‑esteem and relationship confidence. Throughout, she cites specific study findings (e.g., men under 50 having sex twice weekly cut heart‑disease risk; ejaculating >21 times/month cuts prostate‑cancer risk by 31%) and urges listeners to view sex as a health‑optimizing habit.
