And how they get amniotic tissue is that the company get the placenta and then they bring it to the lab and they dry it up, they desiccate, they sterilize it. However, that process of sterilization and processing can actually damage the function of the amniotic membrane because it's outside the body, and cells cannot live long outside the body.
