Foods That Contribute to ED

Short YouTube episode by Anne (Dr. Ann/Anne Truong MD) explaining dietary factors that may worsen erectile dysfunction by promoting inflammation and endothelial dysfunction. She lists four main problem categories — high-sodium foods (processed meats, canned goods, salty snacks, fast food), fried/trans-fat foods (french fries, potato chips, fried chicken, donuts), excessive alcohol (advises about seven drinks/week or ~1/day and warns sugary mixers/wine/beer are higher in sugar), and processed/sugary foods (sodas, candy, white bread, pastries) — and links these to high blood pressure, weight gain, diabetes and high cholesterol, which are ED risk factors. She briefly previews a follow-up on Mediterranean-style foods to support erections and promotes her Modern Man Club (Noedman.com / mensexualityclub.com) for natural ED solutions.

Ever wonder what food to eat that's good for your erection? Stay tuned to find out. Ever wonder what food you should not eat that is not good for your erection? Now, before I go into this, I want to say that for your erection there are multiple factors that are involved. But today we're going to talk about just the food that may not be good for you to have an erection, but. But you gotta look at also exercise as a component to that as well, and sleep and also managing your stress. Let's talk about just the diet for today. So certain food that can contribute to more inflammation and inflammation mean endothelial dysfunction or the blood vessels are not working well and therefore you're going to get less blood flow to the penis, starting with that. That's why these food contribute to endothelial dysfunction. And the endothelium is aligning just on the inside of your blood vessel. Let's start with number one, high sodium food or high salt food. Now these can contribute to you having high blood pressure, which then mean impair blood flow. What are high sodium food? Probably processed meat such as bacon, sausages, deli meat, those are high in salt. Canned soups and vegetables, those are high in salt because the salt preserve the flavor and help it preserve longer. And then snacks such as chips, pretzel, salted nut also carry high sodium. Now I love pretzel. I have to say that one of my weaknesses. But everything in moderation. And then fast food, because fast food are high in sodium or salt because they improve the taste and it also prolong shelf life as well. Two fried food. Fried foods are high in trans fat, which is the saturated fat, and that will lead to weight gain and also will lead to endothelial dysfunction and therefore impair blood flow. For instance, examples are french fries, potato chips. I like potato chips too. What I do is I usually count like only 10 chips. If I'm gonna eat, I'll just get out 10 chips. I put it inside and I just eat it. I don't eat it out of the bag because if you eat it out of the bag, you'll tend to eat more. Let me know if you do the same thing as well too. And oftentimes these french fries and potato chips are fried in unhealthy oil. The other food is fried chicken because they're coated in batter, which is carbohydrate. And they also cook in fat, sometime in lard. And then you have the donuts and the fried dessert as well too. And those are high in calories, fat and sugar. If you eat food that is high in fat and sugar, that's a double whammy. Like for instance, donut, chocolate cake, lava cake, or a Taco Bell burrito. That's high in fat and also high in carbohydrates as well too. Number three is excessive alcohol. Now, alcohol in moderation. I talk about alcohol, no more than maybe seven drinks a week or one a day. But alcohol is synthetic. It causes again, endothelial dysfunction and impair blood flow. For instance, beer drinking a large amount of quantity is actually going to cause inflammation to ephelium. And cocktails, particularly cocktails that are high in sugar content and then mix in with sugary mixers, like if you mix it in with orange juice or cranberry juice, or mixers that has high sugary content, the spirit that are less than sugar is gin, vodka, tequila, those are more lower content. I like tequila and tonic, but I usually go for the diet tonic with a couple of lime in it to lower my sugar content. Now, moderate wine can have some health benefit, but excessive wine, because wine have a lot of sugar. In fact, wine has more sugar in it than spirit. And beer has more sugar in it than spirit as well too. So number four, processed and sugary food. That means if a food is processed, that means is it in a plastic bag or is in a box. It's artificial and it's synthetic and it's hard for the body to process it. For instance, soft drinks like sodas, any sodas, they're full of sugar, candy, dessert, white bread, pasta, and snacks such as, like sugary cookies, cakes and pastries that are made from refined sugar and flour and that are cooked in high saturated fat. So those are probably the most common American food, but they're bad for high blood pressure, bad for diabetes, as well as high cholesterol. And surprisingly, those are also the three risk factors for ED as well. In my next video, I'm going to talk about what food you should eat. So it mainly is the Mediterranean diet. Mediterranean diet focuses more on fruits, vegetables and whole grain and lean meat such as fish and chicken. And it's very easy to follow. So I'll discuss more in my next video.
