When is the best time to have sex? There's differences between men and women. Stay tuned to find out. Do you ever wonder when is the best time in the day to have sex? Well, the answer may surprise you a little bit. And it all depends upon individual preferences, physiological factors, your lifestyle and your health. Now for instance, if you're trying to have sex to reproduce, then the best time to have sex is probably 14 days before the woman have her period. And then when you're having sex, the fertile window, the window where it's best to conceive is five days leading up to ovulation. An ovulation is when the egg gets released from the ovaries and that's around 14 days. So if a woman has 28 days of in between her period, then 14 days into that, the window of five days is the best time to conceive. And interestingly that's the time that she is also have probably more libido as well too. That's when her hormones are the highest. So the way that our body is made that you have more libido, you're in the mood for sex when you are fertile. Now there are biological changes that happen like your sleep wake cycle that influence your hormone level. For instance, men make testosterone at nighttime between 10pm to 6am and it's the highest in the morning between 6 to 7am so that's why they will have morning wood and that's when they will see more erection in the morning. Now versus a woman her estrogen level is probably the most around 3pm in the afternoon. So for women, probably a better time for her to want to have sex is probably at nighttime where she is more relaxed, things are being done and the hormones levels are more even keel at that time. So for women maybe more night for men is in the morning. But it's not to say for everyone this is just based upon hormones level. Now everybody have their own preference as well. For me I actually like nighttime and my husband definitely a morning person, but I'm also in the morning too. If that is the case, and I'm sure most viewers will agree that it's also variable, let me know in the comment what you think is the best time for you as well. Now you also have to consider stress too. So during the day, like when you're working, you're stressed, you're distracted, probably not the best time to have sex. Probably sex occur more often on the weekend when you're not distracted from work and from work schedule. So that's something to consider. Another Thing to consider is privacy and distraction. Now let me ask you this. How many times have you do it at home and the kids knock on the door or the kids walk in and they say, mom and dad, what are you doing? Well, that's happened to us one time and when our daughter was about six years old and she walked in on us and our excuse was, well, daddy's having some back pain and mom is just helping daddy with his back pain. So I want to know if you have any funny story to tell me in the comment below. I love to hear it, but privacy and distraction is a concern. When's the best time to have sex? Because you have children, you have to find a window when the kids are asleep or the kids are away and that probably when the best time. But if you're empty nesters, it could be anytime. And we're empty nesters right now. And for us it's probably more at nighttime because in the morning we get up, we get ready for work. Except for on the weekend. Now, having said that, this is all generalization and everybody is different. I want to make that disclaimer and also just know that what the right amount to have sex in a week? Probably three times in a week. Because studies have shown that people that have sexual encounters three times a week or more actually live longer and happier and have better relationship. Another thing to consider is that sex actually burns calories. So for men they burn about 150 calories, for women about 125 calories. It's actually considered moderate exercise. So sex is exercise. Have more sex, exercise more, be happy. So having said that, I hope you enjoyed this episode. Let me know what you think. I would appreciate it. If you like and comment.
