Live Q&A: Ask Me Anything (Men's Health & Performance Unfiltered)

In this live YouTube Q&A, Dr. Anne Truong introduces her Modern Man Club—a supportive community for men with erectile dysfunction (ED) that offers coaching, diet, exercise, mindset, and a step‑by‑step "Get Hard System". She answers viewer questions, focusing on practical protocols: a detailed manual penis‑pump routine (10 mm Hg, twice daily for 10 minutes, six days a week with one rest day) and an optional electric pump. She explains the optimal sexual activity frequency (≈3 times per week) and its broader health benefits (longevity, reduced depression, lower prostate‑cancer and heart‑disease risk). Dr. Truong discusses hormone issues for women (menopause, hysterectomy, low lubrication) and recommends bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, while also noting testosterone evaluation for men. She outlines the IIEF questionnaire for classifying ED severity (mild, moderate, severe) and tailors treatment tiers: lifestyle changes (stop porn, Mediterranean diet, exercise, sleep, stress reduction), penis‑pump use, Kegel‑machine pelvic‑floor training, and, for severe cases, in‑office therapies (stem‑cell injections, Botox, shockwave). The Kegel machine is described as an electrode‑pad device delivering ~10,000 contractions in 20 minutes to strengthen pelvic muscles essential for erection. Dr. Truong promotes a proprietary arugula‑derived nitric‑oxide supplement and saliva test strips, arguing they bypass age‑related conversion deficits of L‑arginine/L‑citrulline and act like a “natural Viagra”. Throughout, she repeatedly directs viewers to her e‑commerce site ednomore.com for pumps, supplements, lubricants, and the Modern Man Club, emphasizing consistent, evidence‑based self‑care over reliance on PDE‑5 pills.

Leave it there for a while while I take the next question. So I do have to leave a little bit early today. Um, just haven't gotten back and, um, trying to get back into things. All right. Let's take our next question. Okay, so this is a great question here. All right, this is from Kevin. I mean, I know, @kevmcc. Hi, Kev MCC, are you here live? Okay, you type in the questions, I assume you're here live on YouTube. Um, as you guys know, I am a big, uh, proponent of a penis pump, right? The penis pump is a man's best friend, uh, because it, it is your penis exerciser. It helps you exercise your penis and keep your penis healthy. It gets you ready when you, when you want to perform in the bedroom, period. Okay, and And, uh, check out my other videos on where I talk about the benefits of the penis pump. And if you are a man and you don't— or you're not using a penis pump, you should be using it. Here, this is what I mean by the penis pump here. All right, this is the manual penis pump that I have. All right, that I recommend, the manual one. All right, you put the penis into here and it creates a vacuum. Okay, it creates a vacuum, um, and, uh, help you get— and you get an erection inside the, the cylinder here. And this has a gauge, so you don't want to go more than 10 millimeters of mercury, which is around right here. Okay, and you cannot harm yourself using, um, the penis pump, uh, at all. Okay, um, your penis, your penis, uh, it will harm yourself if you do it like more than twice a day, but Um, yeah, the protocol, do it twice a day, 10 minutes. Uh, um, uh, 10 minutes. Okay. Uh, I will leave direction in there. Okay. So Kevin asked, uh, uh, hi, my name is Kevin. Hi, my name is Kevin from Ireland. How many days can you use the penis pump if you have ED? Uh, if you have ED and you, and you have a penis pump Then you need to, um, use it almost— I would say, you know, 6 days out of the week, 1 day off. Okay, so, um, you do 6 days out of the week and you want to do it, uh, do the pump twice a day, right? So, yeah, um, you put the pump and push it. You either stand or sit and you press it against the pubic bone here. You wanna make sure you shave around the base as much as possible, right? And then you also lubricate the corpus cavernosum, also lubricate the base and also the inside of the cylinder. Either sit on the edge of the bed or the chair or stand against the wall, and then you push this in. Make sure that you pull down the scrotum also, and then you start using the pumping on the handle. Okay. Go slow and go slow, go slow, go slow. The penis, um, it will create a negative, uh, pressure and the penis will, uh, become erect in the cylinder. Once it's about 90% erect, uh, or full erection, then you leave it in. You leave it in, in there still. You're still— your hands still press against the cylinder. You leave it in there and if it loses Pressure, just, you know, use pressure again. You leave it in, you leave a full erection in there for about 10 minutes, and then after 10 minutes you deflate, take a break about for 10 minutes, and do the same thing again. That's what I mean by twice. You can do it, uh, twice in, uh, at one, in one sitting, or, uh, do it, uh, one time in the morning, one time at night. It's you You can, uh, it's your choice. So you have ED, I recommend that you do it about, uh, every day for 6 days, have 1 day break, and then get to the routine. So essentially it will take you maybe 25 minutes to do 10-minute session. Um, um, 10-minute sessions, um, once a day. All right. So you, um, you can do it in the bathroom, do it Do it in a room that's quiet as well. We also have an electric one that you can use in addition to the manual one. The electric one is a little bit easier. It's a little bit more expensive. A lot of our customers like the electric one, but you can check out the electric one at our store at ednomore.com. Okay, and when you buy it, you get the the lubricant. We send you the lubricant as well too. You throw in the lubricant in there, and um it also comes with uh the penis ring uh as well. Okay, all right, very good, very good, very good. Um that was a good question because you can use the penis pump. For ED, you can use the penis pump when even when you don't have ED. Because when you don't have ED, you and if say if you're not sexually active three times a week, and so you can use it as a maintenance exercise maintenance. Kind of like exercising your your biceps when you go to the gym is to do it maintenance. Because you can keep it maintenance or keep it going strong for— go and make sure that, you know, it is, you know, optimal. You can do that, and that schedule is usually 3 times a week. So if you don't have ED and you're not having intercourse 3 times a week, then use the penis pump for maintenance. Um, uh, 3 times a week because it, um, it helps you keep your penis healthy, right? Uh, it's like, it's like your, your biceps muscle. You don't go to the gym, uh, it gets small, right? But you go to gym for maintenance, which you do it 3 times a week. And if you want bulking up, uh, then you should do it 6 times a week, right? Uh, same thing with the penis. Penis is also a smooth muscle. It's just muscle. And it also needs to be exercised or else it will not be ready to perform. Right. So you definitely need to do that now. Yeah, you can, you know, you can do solo. Now, when you do, you know, I have to be careful what I say. You can do solo. You don't need a partner. Right. You can do solo and that can count as having, uh, having intercourse as well. Right. Yeah. Um, um, so, um, well, I, I was, uh, gonna be touching upon, um, the, um, frequency. Okay. Frequency. What is the optimal— what is the best number of time that you should have, uh, intercourse? What's the bad— how many studies have shown that couples, either same-sex couple or heterosexual, that the more happy, they live longer, they have less stress, and they have even less cancer incidence and less heart issues? And those couples are usually the ones that have intercourse 3 times a week. Okay, 3 times a week. All right, optimal, optimal frequency is 3 times a week instead of— so 3. So not every day, not 5 times, but 3 times. Um, a week. Uh, doesn't matter where, 3 in 1 day or 1 consecutively every day, but definitely 3 times, um, a week is the, uh, optimal, um, is the optimal, uh, um, uh, is the optimal, um, frequency. Okay. So 3 times a week. It's kind of funny because When you exercise, it's, uh, what's, what's optimal for maintenance? 3 times a week, right? So your, your, your penis also needs 3 times a week for, uh, uh, optimal, uh, um, uh, performance as well. And so it's having intercourse. But what, uh, their studies have shown— there is a study that came out. In 2021 that shows the benefit of having consistent sexual activity. There are multiple benefits, right? More than just pleasure. So frequent sexual activity helps you live longer. You're less depressed, you're more happy. It actually will prevent— for men, prevent prostate cancer. If you have intercourse 3 times a week, it prevents prostate cancer. It also will reduce incidence of heart disease or heart attack if you have intercourse 3 times a week, right? It will also— having sexual activity considered moderate Do you burn about 100 calories? All right, it will also help you have better heart health as well too, right? And so it will give you better heart health, right? And so that in itself is the benefit of sexual activity: live longer, less depressed. More happy, reduced incidence of prostate cancer, reduced incidence of heart disease at this point. So there are multiple benefits other than the, you know, the obvious benefits. All right, so you live longer. So, and it strengthens relationship as well. So oftentimes we Don't think about the other benefit of sexual activities, right? Those are important, and that has to be determined in a research study as well. So, and I actually need to do— need to do an episode on that, the benefits of Of let me write that down. Okay, John, can you remind me? Benefit. Okay. There. Okay. And there actually it's a study, and I haven't done that. I did that when I first released the YouTube channel, but I haven't done it in like four years. But it's I. Every time I give a lecture to doctors or to everyone, I always highlight the benefit of, of sexual activity because we always think about the pleasure. We don't think about the other medical benefit or just the benefit of even cancer prevention as well too, right? And for women, it helps lubrication. Uh, and the more, um, she does it, the, um, uh, better lubrication as well. And for you guys that are on here, if you have a partner and she is a female, and, um, and if it's uncomfortable for her to have, uh, sexual, uh, uh, intercourse, uh, it's most likely that She is undergoing hormones and she needs to be evaluated by a doctor to be put on hormone replacement therapy. Right. It can actually be reversed within days, days, like 5 days. It can be reversed within 5 days. Okay. So who should she go see? You can just Google for somebody near you that does Uh, you can Google, um, uh, uh, menopause, uh, society, or, um, hormone replacement therapy for women. Okay. Um, not all gynecologists do hormone replacement therapy. Uh, so you need to go to somebody that does, uh, more of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. All right. Uh, not all urologists do testosterone therapy either. And so it— not all primary care does that. So it's actually not a specialty in itself, it's extra training that doctors go through when they already are out, they're already out practicing. So it's not a specialty in itself. But it's extra training that any specialist can learn. All right, because I hear that a lot. I hear that you know females suffer with pain with intercourse, and oftentimes she thinks it's just getting older. She thinks it is just. Her. She blames herself. She blames stress. She blames other things when it is due to her hormones start to drop around sometime as early as early 40s, start to drop. It's a phase called premenopause. And when hormone changes in a female, first thing that shows up is decreased lubrication. Down there. When she has decreased lubrication down there, it is uncomfortable, uh, uh, during, uh, uh, penetration and intercourse. That's the kind of first thing. Then her libido drops. The first thing that happened is her libido dropped, so she's not in the mood. And then, and then, and then, and then it becomes, uh, uncomfortable, uh, for her. Okay. So, uh, in our store also at, um, ednomore.com, Um, it's— we also have a lubricant for female called Bliss. It is a natural lubricant with coconut oil and CBD, and it helps lubricate down there very well. And it is, it is also very natural, works very well for female. It actually works well for men. For male, uh, as well too. So check out, it's called Bliss. So if you guys have a partner and, uh, if, uh, if it's uncomfortable for her or she said that, uh, she's not enjoying it, you know, check out the lubricant and maybe have a conversation that she can go see, um, a bioidentical, uh, hormone replacement, uh, therapy doctor. All right, having said that, I also want to, uh, Um, highlight that. Uh, uh, okay, so I— we talk about hormones for, uh, female, but I want to talk about the, uh, female that had a hysterectomy. So when you have a hysterectomy, doesn't matter where the hormone— the ovaries are taken or not, but when you have a hysterectomy, uh, she immediately, uh, uh, is in menopause because when you have, um, Uh, a hysterectomy, um, her hormones start to dip too. Um, hormones start to dip, uh, immediately. If the ovaries are still in there, it may take a little while, but, but the hormones do dip some. And it's easy to measure hormones, right? Um, it's easy to measure hormones in a female and a male. It's blood work. You just get blood work from your From your veins, like same way you get cholesterol and your blood sugar checked. And once you get blood work, once you get blood work, you, you, you know, the doctor can look at the progesterone level, look at your estrogen level, look at your testosterone level. And if it's a dip down and she starts to have symptoms, then Then she's gonna need some additional replacement. All right, so what matters with hormone replacement therapy is treating the symptoms, right? It's not so much in treating the number on the lab, but treating the symptoms, right? Uh, treating the symptoms of the, um, of the, uh, of menopause. All right, symptoms of menopause is decreased libido, decreased energy, and also decreased lubrication, bladder issues, hair loss as well. For hair loss as well, and also And you can find those symptoms in what's called the menopause rating scale. A menopause rating scale. Okay. Yeah, it's a standardized questionnaire. It's a standardized questionnaire that you can use to assess for whether you have symptoms of menopause. And for men, there is also a standardized questionnaire to see if you have ED and the severity of ED. You don't know what you know, ED is it mild, moderate, or severe? It so is it um you can find out by just using the um called the IIEF uh international uh international erectile dysfunction uh scale called the IIEF. All right, um and those of you that are here um. Check that out. John, you can get the link of that IIEF or the sexual assessment. You probably see that link on our webpage, on our webpage under male sexual dysfunction. ED test. Okay, good. Put that on the banner. Yeah, there you go. The ED test right there. So you can find out. You can find out if you have ED by go to go to this right here and see if we can make that into a QR code as well too and put that as a QR code because you don't. Do you know that there is a standardized test? For erectile dysfunction. And, um, do you know that, uh, you could, uh, it's a test that will grade you whether you're mild, moderate, or severe? Yes. So, uh, and that the mild, moderate, severe correlate with, uh, what you're gonna need for, uh, treatment, right? So the easiest one to, to treat is mild, mild ED, right? You can probably treat that at home by following what I tell you to do, right? By following, you know, uh, you know, you— if you have mild, um, uh, ED, if you take the test right now, go to the test, right? Go to the link and take the test. And if you have mild ED, all you need to do to reverse your ED is, uh, um Well, if you're smoking, stop smoking, um, and, um, and stop porn. And then 2, follow the Mediterranean diet, uh, exercise 3 times a week, about 30 minutes, sleep 7 hours at nighttime, and, uh, stress reduction. But if you exercise and sleep, that's probably reduce your stress. Okay. And number 2, So if you have moderate ED, and you can, you can tell by taking the test, moderate ED is a score, is a score of 5 to 25. And mild, I believe, is from 20— 18 to 23. It's mild. And then moderate, the large part in moderate is between 18 to, I believe, 12. Um, 18 to 12 or 11 is the moderate range, which is where most men are. And if you are in the moderate range, uh, the older you are, the more severe you have. But it's also— take the test, take the test because it can determine whether you're moderate or severe. And if you're moderate, You still need to do the same thing that I mentioned before. Stop porn, stop vaping. Do the Mediterranean diet, exercise at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week, more if you need to, sleep 7 hours at night, and stress reduction. You may have to do more meditation. Right. But you still need to do those. But it will take you longer to reverse the ED. And believe it or not, you start having the Mediterranean diet and you start to exercise, you're going to actually lose weight. And you're going to lose weight, and then your blood pressure will decrease, your cholesterol will decrease, and so your blood sugar will decrease as well. So you can actually do that. Okay. So that's moderate. It just takes a little bit longer, more intensive, but you still follow the same protocol. And don't forget, you know, to also add in the penis pump, right? Don't forget to add in— if you're in moderate, then you need to do the penis pump 6 days a week. And then I would also recommend doing the Kegel machine. Now let's go back. If you have mild ED, you should use the penis pump as well too. Um, but when the mild cases, you'll get, uh, um, restore your, uh, your, um, erection quicker. If you're moderate, you— it may take you a little longer to restore your erection, but you're gonna need the Kegel machine, uh, you're gonna need the penis pump. You can get all that at our store at ednomore.com. Now, if you're in the severe, if you take the test, the ED test, And if you're more severe ED, which is 5 to— ranging from 5 to about 9 or 10, you'll know severe ED because it's a test that you take. You answer only 5 questions and you tally the score. So if you haven't taken the test yet, put the link for the test. If you haven't taken the test yet, you haven't taken the test yet, then you need to take the test. Okay? So if you do the test and you score severe, You still do, you know, stop porn, stop smoking. You still do the Mediterranean diet. You still exercise 30 minutes, you know, 3 times a week. And you still need to sleep 7 hours at night. And you still need to do stress reduction with exercise and meditation. And but you're going to need to use the penis pump and the Kegel machine. And you may need to go to the office full treatment with using your own stem cells and, uh, Botox and using shockwave machine like our protocol for our Get Hard, uh, system. When you're more severe, you're gonna need more tools to jumpstart, uh, jumpstart your, uh, penis function, uh, again. Okay. And, um, uh, it just takes longer. That's all. But you know, it's like your car, right? If you start to notice symptoms in your car and you start to address and fix it, then it will take quick— it will be— doesn't take long to fix it. But if you keep waiting for years and years and years, like you would with your ED, let's say you have ED, you keep taking the pill, the Viagra or Cialis. And over the years, you know, it stopped working. Well, it's like your car's not working and you just— all you're doing is duct taping. All you're doing is duct taping, you know, on the engine instead of trying to fix what's going on, right? And then after a while, the car's not going to be able to work and it may take, you know, a lot of money to fix the engine. Instead of you were going to fix it in the beginning. Now treat your body the same as you would, you know, your car. If you start having some problem, fix it. Don't, don't try to duct tape it, right? Because when you're taking Viagra and Cialis, that's like duct taping your car, right? Because it doesn't fix the cause of the problem. It's just a band-aiding. And the problem will just get worse, right? So the so that will get worse. So I just talked about taking a test to determine whether you have mild, moderate, or severe ED, right? So and I've given you the the protocol and what you need to do, right? And I and somebody asked here what what is the Kegel machine? The Kegel machine, it is a neuromuscular, uh, it's a machine that you put a pad on, um, under the muscles, under the, the taint right here. So these muscles right here are called pelvic muscle. They're the muscle between your scrotum and your rectum right here, right? Your anus, right? And the muscle that goes into like a V like that. All right. And it goes up and it wraps around The base of the penis. So those muscles are called pelvic muscles, and, uh, they help maintain— keep, keep the blood in the, uh, keep the blood, uh, in the penis. But they're also— they come from here. So the Kegel machine, what it does is that it's a, it's a, it's an electrode pad that you put on here and attach it to a machine. I don't know if— I wonder if I have one here. I don't think I have one at home. Um, I may have one, uh, at home. And you put the patch on here, and then there's a machine that you do click. You click, click, click, click. And what it does, it does contraction. It contracts the muscles. It contracts the muscles, and, and it strengthens those pelvic muscles, the 2 pelvic muscles, uh, uh, the, um, the 2 pelvic muscles right here. Um, and it strengthens it. Uh, because, uh, 99.9% of men with ED have weak pelvic muscles, because those are actual muscles like your bicep, but they're weak because you never exercise it. So over the years, gravity pulls on it because, you know, makes, makes it, uh, lax. And also over the years, they get atrophy and weak. So you need to strengthen the pelvic muscle by doing the Kegel machine. You can get it at our store at ednomore.com. It's just a patch that you put on, uh, it's an electrode you put on here, and the machine will just make the muscles stronger. Again, within 20 minutes, the machine will give you about 10,000 contractions. Okay, so before I used to have you do Kegel, uh, by yourself, but now there's a machine that you can just slap on there and it will contract the muscles. Okay. So that's called the Kegel machine. Go to our store at ED No More and you'll see it there. Very easy to use. You get everything that you need to do. But those muscles are neglected because they're the ones that keep the blood in the penis. They're important. They're very, very important, but you never exercise it, right? Those of you that are here on YouTube and on Facebook and Twitter, do you do pelvic muscle exercise? Probably not. Probably not. And women need to do that too, because when women, it helps keep the urine in their bladder, prevent them from losing urine when they're coughing or sneezing or— Laughing, right? So, um, but for men, those pelvic muscles are important for, uh, uh, erection. It keeps the penis firm, it keeps the blood in there. So it's a very, very important muscle that you never pay attention to, right? That you don't do. In fact, those are— that's why I recommend, uh, you doing the Kegel machine when you have moderate ED. Right? So take the test, find out whether you're mild, moderate, or severe. And I just really told you what you need to do at home. You can really do a lot at home. In your severe case, you probably need to come to the office for the stem cell treatment, for the more intensive treatment. But if you're mild or moderate, you can probably do most of it on your own, but you've got to be consistent. You got to be persistent, right? And some of you may need testosterone replacement therapy as well too, to make sure you get your blood work done. If you get your blood work done, you'll know what your testosterone levels are as well. Okay, so that was that's a good case of treating ED. Take the test and you will get, you will have an answer what to do. And join the Modern Man Club. When you join the Modern Man Club, you will be given the roadmap and what you need to do. And then when you join the Modern Man Club, you have any questions, you can come in to our question session and ask our dietitian, ask our— Our nutritionist. Our exercise expert and ask our mindset expert on what to do, because those are the things you need to get rewired again to get your erection back. Okay, okay, I'm taking some notes here as well. So guys. You can get your erection back. You've got to put some effort into it. Okay. I want to answer Kev MCC. What's the best supplement to take for blood flow? All right. So the best supplement to take for blood flow is nitric oxide. All right. But you want to take the nitric oxide that is from arugula. It's like the one that we have in ED No More, in our store at ednomore.com. Because nitric oxide will— when you take the supplement that we have, which is nitric oxide, it comes from arugula. So when you take it, it goes straight to your stomach and becomes nitric oxide. But if you take nitric oxide supplement from L-arginine or L-citrulline, it is— your body has to convert it to nitric oxide. And after the age of 40, 50% of us lose the enzyme to convert it. So meaning you don't have the enzyme to convert it. Half of you don't have the enzyme to convert it. So when you take L-arginine, L-citrulline, your body can't convert it and you're just having a very expensive urine instead of trying to get nitric oxide. And you can get— so the best supplement is to take the nitric oxide that we have. In fact, It is so good that if you take the natural— chew nitric oxide, which is made from arugula in our store, and you do the penis pump, and if you do this before sexual activity, it works very, very well. I have heard feedback that it is almost like a Viagra right before having sex. Wow. having intercourse. So it'll help you get firmer. And then the penis pump, it's like exercising your penis before you get an erection. Okay. So, and then if combine that, if you take the nitric oxide from arugula, combine that with a Mediterranean diet, which focuses on fruits and vegetables, So if you eat like nitric oxide high food like arugula, broccoli, lettuce, beets, okay, beets. And, and if you combine that with anything that— any vegetable that is bright color, all right, it will give you nitric oxide. Right. And like, if you, if you eat a salad with bell peppers, with beets, right after that, you can literally raise your nitric oxide level. And then, like, let's say you're going on a date, eat a salad with lots of vegetables, add beets in there. And then before sexual activity, take 2 nitric oxide. Yeah. from our store, and I think you're ready. I think you're gonna be ready to rock and roll. All right, and believe it or not, at our store you can also buy nitric oxide strips as well too. You guys know that you can measure your nitric oxide. Let me see if I can— I know I have some strips here. All right, next time I'll find it. I have some strips here, but you know that you can You can get nitric oxide strip that you measure in your saliva. It's a strip, and then you just dip it on your tongue, and the color from the strip, well, either it's bright pink color or no color at all, or just a tinge of pink.
