A patient testimonial in a YouTube video by Dr. Anne Truong describing chronic neck and shoulder pain from a 2007 car accident (severe whiplash) that persisted for years despite chiropractic care, neurology visits, massage, and other therapies. The speaker reports intense burning pain (regularly 8–9/10) and migraines, then receiving trigger point injections plus accompanying therapy from Dr. Truong (intensive phase: two days a week for four weeks, followed by maintenance). The patient reports progressive pain reduction to as low as 4/10, improved mood, and restored physical activities (biking, running).

So in 2007, I was in a car accident and it left me with permanent injuries with a severe whiplash. And they sent me to chiropractor that I went to for probably two to four times a week. I complained about burning sensation, constant burning sensation in my neck and shoulders. They just kept saying, oh, that'll go away, that'll go away. And in, I want to say, three years later, I was. The intense burning sensation was so bad, I would go to work and I would literally cry in the bath, in the bathroom because I couldn't stand the pains in my. It was just so intense. For years I went to a neurologist and they couldn't help me. I was getting migraines and it just. Nothing ever helped. I went, I tried massage therapy. The massage along with other things didn't really help because they weren't really taking care of the problem itself. So I moved here to Virginia for work purposes. And I went to my primary doctor and he recommended Dr. Truong. And I came here and I instantly fell in love. I instantly got hope. Prior to coming here, my pain levels were on a regular, steady, maybe 8, 9 level. And I started trigger point injections. It was more, just wasn't just the injections, it was more the therapy that went along with it. It was two days a week for four, for four solid weeks, which was intense. And once we got beyond the four weeks, it was maintenance. And I started seeing my pain levels go down from, you know, nine to a eight to a seven to a six to a five. And there's been times where it's been a four. I've never been a four before and it's been incredibly life changing. I can do things now that I couldn't do before and I've just been a different person. I'm happier. I'm not miserable around my family and my, my, my friends because pain gives you that misery that goes along with it and that temperament that you just don't want to be around people because you're miserable. I'm excited. I'm doing, physically, I'm doing biking, I'm running. Believe it or not, I hate running. And I'm actually running. And I never would have been able to do that if I didn't come here. And it's been truly life changing.
