A short YouTube testimonial (uploaded by Anne Truong MD) in which a patient named Sandy describes severe arthritis in her right hip and her experience receiving platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments from Dr. Truong. Sandy reports improved sleep, reduced pain, daily improvement in mobility, and that she chose PRP over recommended hip replacement surgery because it was less invasive and used her own blood.

Okay. My name is Sandy and I had severe arthritis in my right hip. I sought out Dr. Truong for an alternative therapy to see what could be done to alleviate my problem. I had the procedures done by Dr. Truong. Everything went well. She explained everything beautifully as we went through all the different procedures. And now I am able to sleep through the night. I can focus because I'm not in as much pain. And I can feel myself improving every day as time goes by. And I am so appreciative to Dr. Truong for giving me the opportunity to have this level of improvement.
Were you a candidate for a hip replacement surgery?
Yes, I was a candidate for hip replacement surgery. My primary care said I could either see Dr. Truong or have hip replacement surgery, and I chose to go to Dr. Truong.
Why didn't you want to have a hip replacement surgery?
It just seemed to be a very severe thing to do to my body at that time. And I was trying to find something that would allow me a greater level of movement without the pain that would avoid that severe surgery.
So if you have a choice now, let's say your other hip is hurting, what route would you take? Hip replacement or do the platelet rich plasma?
I would do the platelet rich plasma because it just seems like the more logical thing to do. It's not as invasive. It's plasma from my own blood. I know what I'm dealing with and I have more control over what happens to me.
