Testosterone Pellets Therapy Cost Compared to Injections

A doctor demonstrates testosterone pellet insertion, a hormone therapy alternative to injections. Pellets release steadily over 3-4 months and require a small incision under local anesthesia. Men typically get 100-200 mg doses; recovery means avoiding leg exercise for five days and water for three.

Hello. So today I'm gonna show you the procedure for hormone bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. And what we're doing today is testosterone pellet placement. And testosterone pellet is the preferred way to have hormone replacement because the pellets are the size of tic tac here. And when you placed it underneath the skin, underneath the skin on the buttock, and it releases bioidentical testosterone hormone every day, versus if you were gonna get a testosterone injection, you get it either once a week or twice a week. And then you have the peaks and the trough. So you don't get a daily dose of testosterone. So just a constant delivery of testosterone that is bioidentical or exactly the same hormone that you have in your body. And then on top of that, once you put it in, for a man, that stays in there for four months. For a woman, it stays in for three months. And then it dissolves. So your body will dissolve the pellet, which looks like a tic tac. And. And then you don't have to take it out. And then four months later, I put in the new pellet on the other side. And after four months, your body dissolves that. So the way how I do it is that before we do this, I would look at the blood work to ensure that the level is appropriate and the patient is appropriate for the pellet. One thing that I do differently is that other place will use a scalpel which to make an incision to put the pellets in. I don't do that. I use a bevel, A needle. You can close up your bevel needle and I just make the incision. And prior to this, I already numb him up already with lidocaine and I buffer it with sodium bicarb so it doesn't burn. So, so we make the entry with just the bevel. And the reason why I do this is that it doesn't make a scar. And when it does heal, you can see here, it looks like just a brown spot right here. And aesthetically, it is very pleasing. And it doesn't create like a hypertrophic or a raised scar when you cut it. With the scalpel. I use just a bevel end of an 18 gauge needle to create an opening. And once the opening is made, I used pro card to create a trap that we will put the pellet into. And of course, it's all numbed up and everything beforehand. And each of the pellets are different dosages, either 200 or 100 milligrams and men pellet dosage are about 100 times more, 10 times more actually than for women. And the troll car that I'm using right now, it's bigger for men versus for women. The women pellets are actually smaller as well. And we're trying to put it underneath the skin, right at the level between the fat and the muscle. And that's where the pelvis is at. And, and your body will absorb it and you get a daily dose of the testosterone. And these are bioidentical, that means that they're compounded through a compounded pharmacy. All right, so we do three tracks. So we did the first track and then now the second track. Oftentimes when someone is slim or skinny, like this person, by the way, this person is actually my husband who has been getting pellets now for the last four years or so. And I myself are on pellets as well. I don't do it to myself, but my good friend Shelly is the one that does it. So I totally endorse this because it will improve your energy, help you with focus, help build muscle, increase libido, it protect the bone and, and when you go work out, your workout is more efficient, you have more energy, better focus and just feel like a young man again. All right, so this is the last track right now. Alright. I usually like to spread out the pellets so that way it's not in one spot and it gets embedded and fatty tissue. So there's less chance of it coming out or extrusion and less chance of it being swollen. And it is now done and we're just putting pressure on it now. And then we put cover it with a dressing with a steri strip on the bottom and then a gauze on the top. The precaution after the testosterone pellet is that you don't exercise with the legs or the buttocks area for about five days and you don't want to go into a pool beach for about three days. And you're going to start seeing the effect of the pellets about five days. And most men will see that more in increasing their libido energy and morning erection. And for women they feel increased libido and energy. And in fact testosterone for women is protective for their heart and also help with maintaining weight as well and also energy and libido. And that's it. That is the procedure for the pellet.
