Super high level can also cause venous clotting and even a pulmonary embolus. It also causes swelling in the legs and also can affect your lipid profile like cholesterol and LDL and vldl. So if you're taking this, you need to be monitored with a doctor. Your medication should be adjusted for cholesterol medicine as well as diabetes medicine, and your blood work has to be monitored almost every three months, so that way you don't have high red blood cell, which is a polycythemia.
