The Secrets to Better Sex in Your 70s

YouTube video by Dr. Anne Truong (May 31, 2024) explaining that sexual activity and erections are possible past 70. Main message: instituting four lifestyle pillars — Mediterranean-style diet, targeted exercise (squats/deadlifts/lunges, walking ~30 min or 3×/week), good sleep, and stress management (meditation/box breathing) — improves blood flow, hormones, and sexual function. Additional measures discussed: check testosterone and consider replacement if appropriate, use of PDE5 inhibitors (tadalafil/Cialis/Viagra) which help in about 70% of patients, natural remedies (pomegranate, red ginseng, oysters), quitting smoking, and moderating alcohol. An 85-year-old patient case is presented (lost 35 lb, walked 3 miles daily, started testosterone, improved sex life). The video ends with promotions for the Modern Man Club and an upcoming 5-day “Get Hard” challenge.

Can I still have sex at 70? Well, that's a common question I've been asked and I can tell you yes, it is not only a possibility, it's a reality. So discover how medical treatment, key lifestyle shift, can tackle the underlying health issue at 70 and empower you to regain your sexual vitality again. Remember, age is just a number. It does not affect your intimacy. If you know what to do now, watch till the end of this video for a special reveal of the most effective lifestyle changes that can significantly enhance your sex life. After 70 plus, you'll receive a bonus surprise that will help you embrace your love life. At 70, can you still get an erection? Absolutely, yes. Well, let's tackle something that you need to do to maintain your sex life at 70. The number one thing is to know that you can still have it. You just got to know what you need to do at 50 at 60, because we know that ed happen when there is decreased blood flow or there's a psychological component such as performance anxiety. I spoke about that in my last episode, so check that out. In order for you to get an erection, you need to have more blood flow. So how do you increase blood flow? Well, you increase blood flow by mainly what the four pillars that I talk about, which is diet or the Mediterranean diet, Exercise, such as doing squat, deadlift and lunges to increase blood flow down to the pelvic region. And also walking 30 minutes a day if you can, or even just do it three times a week. And then number three is sleep. Sleep is important so your body can heal physically and mentally as well as helping you produce more testosterone hormone. And then number four is stress management. And learning how to do meditation and exercise will reduce your stress. What are other things that you can do even at 70? Well, you can consider getting your testosterone hormone measured. And if you're a candidate, consider getting testosterone replacement therapy that help with libido sex drive, help with muscle building, help with bone integrity as well as your erection as well. On top of that, so what other things can you do as well that we just covered? On top of that, you can actually do the morning wood, the Good Morning wood smoothie recipe that I have. Check it down below here and I'll leave it on the screen at the Good Morning wood smoothie, which has antioxidant and it has fruits and vegetables in there that help increase blood flow. And also, what else can you do if you're smoking, quit smoking, because smoking will really suffocate your erection. Number two is really moderate. Or limit your alcohol to probably no more than two cocktails a day or in a week. Probably less than 14 cocktail in a and if you're drinking alcohol to relax, maybe more of a cocktail is better than beer, because beer you gotta drink a large quantity to get almost the same alcohol content. And I know alcohol sometimes is good and believe me, I like my glass of wine too. But it does have inflammation and it does affect your blood flow as well too. So what other natural remedies and we have talked about other natural remedies such as eating a good Mediterranean diet or like oysters and we talk about pomegranate juice and red ginseng. You can check out my modern man crib where we have these supplements available as well. Now, when you get older you have a tendency to get yes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. However, those are all chronic conditions which are related to not eating a good diet, not exercising, not sleeping. So if you do that recommended earlier about diet, exercise and sleep, you can probably reduce your incidence of high blood pressure, high cholesterol or even diabetes as well too. And also if you are having stress, good way to calm down. Your stress is walking and exercise and spending time with your loved ones and doing the box breathing like I talk about in my previous episode where you have kind of taking slow deep breath and hold it for four, breathe out for four, then hold it for four. As for box breathing and really enjoying the moment with partner, you believe me, you don't have to be rock hard to be able to get an erection sometimes during the moment you can get a better erection. Now sometimes taking a little bit of Tadalafil or Cialis can be helpful. It depends on your age and your medical condition. But just know that these medications are only helpful in 70% of patients. They're not helpful in venous leak at this point or a low dose Viagra at 20 milligrams. So it's not unusual for a man in his 70 to not have an erection because research has shown that 70% of men over 70 have ED. But not necessarily mean that everyone have to have that. If you institute the four pillars of sexual health such as diet, exercise, sleep and stress management earlier, you can continue to have sexual activity 70 and beyond as well too. Because I have seen many of my patients in their 80s are enjoying a good sex life and they're are doing it three to five times a week and they don't even need to take Viagra or Cialis so it can be done. However it took them a while to get there and what did they do? I have ed, who is 85 years old. So what does he do to get his sex life back? Well, he ate better, he got on the Mediterranean diet, lost 35 pounds, he started walking three miles every day. And, and then he sleep better as well. He got testosterone supplementation therapy and he dancing every day, he's reading every day, he's keeping himself busy and at the age of 85, is enjoying an active sex life with his 80 year old girlfriend. So it can be done, even though the odds are against you. But if you know what you need to do now, even at 70, maybe you can counteract that at this time. And if you're listening to this and you're not quite 70 and you're in your 60s or 50s and 40s, well, I just laid out the map for you for sexual vitality for life. By focusing on the diet and the exercise and sleep and stress. I can't tell you how important that is. And also, if you're starting to see morning wood coming back or you're still having morning wood, that is a very good sign. If you're having morning wood, that means you're getting good blood flow, nerve and good hormones. So never underestimate the value of morning wood. And remember, age is just a number. It does not mean anything other than a number. And that if you institute these four pillars, it will go a long way. And yes, you can still have a vital sex life past 70 and beyond.
