Why breaking up with your partner made you a better partner, really? Long story short, and then I'll elaborate, is I had to learn how to love myself. And we talked about this a little bit how when we split up, one of the things I said to myself that was a hardcore eye opener is I, Jenny Lee and I split up and I said, I have no idea how I'm going to live without her. And to me, that's an absolutely disgusting state of mind. Because what that tells me is, number one, I'm not enough. And B, I need somebody else to make me happy. And if man or woman you're coming into a relationship with expecting the other person to make you happy and making them responsible for your happiness, you've already lost. You've already lost because the second they do something that cracks that or they walk away, you're screwed. So I didn't ever want to be in that position again. So I started thinking about, okay, how can I love myself more? And then it was a really easy answer. Okay, how did I love Jenny Lee when I was being my best? What did I do for her? And I just started doing it for myself.
