Be Gutsy in Gratitude - Day 10

In this 2021 group workshop led by Dr Priti Nanda Sibal, participants explore gratitude as an active, transformative habit. The facilitator (Speaker A) and participants (Nishant, Speaker C, etc.) discuss why expressing thanks with concrete reasons (“thank you for…”) feels more sincere and creates a ripple of positivity. They introduce the “magic dust” metaphor – visualizing gratitude as a sparkling dust that, when sprinkled on others through genuine thank‑you, returns to the giver, enhancing mood and relationships. The session blends Hindi and English, shares personal anecdotes (e.g., thanking a store assistant, doctors, cleaners), and outlines daily practices: morning and evening gratitude rituals, listing ten blessings, and consciously looking the person in the eye when thanking them. The group reflects on how kindness acknowledges unseen struggles of others, and how gratitude can shift negative emotions. The workshop ends with a collective exercise to identify ten people to thank and a closing song, reinforcing the habit of gratitude for a happier, more compassionate life.
