Be GUTSY in GRATITUDE - Day 5

In the fifth day of the "Be GUTSY in GRATITUDE" series, Dr. Priti Nanda Sibal leads a bilingual (English‑Hindi) group coaching session where participants share recent personal experiences and practice gratitude techniques. Chitra recounts a health‑focused gratitude journal where she thanks her organs, noting a marked reduction in her cough. She also describes an unexpected call from her ex‑partner about a family function, highlighting how gratitude helped her set boundaries and stay calm. Namrita, Nishant, and others report feeling calmer, happier, and less anxious after consistently practicing gratitude, linking it to improved mood and physical well‑being. The facilitator then introduces the "Magic Money" concept – a gratitude‑based financial abundance practice derived from Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret. Detailed steps are read aloud: recalling childhood blessings, verbally thanking each instance, creating a "magic dollar" with a gratitude note, and repeatedly holding and reciting the note throughout the day. Participants are encouraged to integrate this ritual with other gratitude habits such as yoga, tap‑dancing, and daily singing. The session ends with a communal rendition of "This Little Light of Mine" and a warm farewell.
Chapters
So two things very interestingly happened. So as I was telling you yesterday, I continued not to think about my health, okay? And I said, I'm not going to— I told myself, and so I didn't think about it yesterday. And yesterday was Shivaratri, so I was lost in prayer and all that. So I didn't bother about all that. And interestingly, I wrote my gratitude journal as soon as we finished our class yesterday, and for some reason yesterday it was all about health. Okay, in the sense about organs. No, not in terms of health, but in terms of organs. Very interestingly, I started talking to my organs. Like, you know, I was writing, and honestly speaking, you know, I wasn't part of your gut glass, glass, glass. And I was like writing and I was thanking my gut and I said— I actually realized that I was talking to it like a bachcha, you know. Sorry, bachcha, I'm putting so much bad food and thoughts to you. I'm so sorry. And relentlessly you have been working. And I was like, actually had one tear in my eye, you know. And I was like literally like a kid. Sorry, I was actually writing the gratitude and I'm telling myself Sorry, but I've been putting so much of wrong food and emotions to you. I'm so sorry. And you have never complained, okay? You only told me you're struggling. And similarly with my lungs, I was having— I told you I had a cough, but again, very unintentionally, I was writing and I said and how much you must be doing and struggling to, you know, filter the, uh, air and give me pure oxygen. Thank you so much. And trust me, on a scale of 1 to 10, if I had my cough cold at 8 or 9, it is from yesterday between, uh, around 2. Okay.
And I just— you're— thank you. And your face is telling me it is at 2 today. You are looking so much better, confident, happy, gutsy. So great. Yes. What's the second thing which happened?
Yeah, and the second thing that happened is out of the blue my ex called, and, uh, the thing he was talking about was— normally every time, once in a year or once in 6 months is what we call a talk to each other. I know, Hamesha, it will end up with some argument because it will be on finances. And, you know, you give me money or something. But generally, we would have a fight and keep the phone with the argument only. And yesterday he called and he said, so the children are with him. He took away the children. So he was like, I want to put Geneva for them, but I want you to be there for the function. I'm not going to do it without you. So how are you placed in me?
Oh God, so sweet.
Had a half an hour conversation just on Geneva, and will it be— will you be free around that time? And, you know, all that. And I was like, and can you do— would you have jewelry to wear? Or because you've sold everything, so would you have something to wear then? Should I budget for that? You know, but a very conversation. And I was like, we never fought, no argument. And I don't know, from somewhere, with hope, I told him, don't bother about all that, don't budget for that. You do what arrangements you need to do. And I left the conversation at that. And he would have a lot of irritation towards certain people in my life. So like he was talking about— so I thought that let me put my foot down because always I am so vulnerable and always allow the others to take me for granted. So I said, let me put my point across. He will say, I can't come. So I didn't have to do that. I told him, he said, do one thing. So let me, uh, get, you know, organized for those people. And I kept the phone with that.
So that was something which happened yesterday.
Doctor's gone, but that sounds amazing to me.
I was— no, seriously, I was too thrilled yesterday. I mean, I've always believed in like the metaphysical and the universe, but so like yesterday I was just that, and I think that really made my day.
Mute or adopt?
Unmute. Perfect. I am so, so, so happy I can't tell you, Chitra, right? And this is what makes me believe in, you know, magical world more and more and more. You know why? Because I was thinking Getting up in the morning is not easy when you are not in a routine, right? But it is really nice. Yes. Then we— how was your day?
My days are going great with love. I also want to show something to everybody. Okay, so I have this day diary.
It's called One Line a Day.
Doctor, I think I've showed it to you Yes, yes. So the concept is very nice. Basically, uh, uh, just the 23rd January page and past to slot. So every year you come 23rd January, you write 2019, and then you write, and it's just like 4-5 lines to maintain. So yesterday I was writing my diary and this is what I read. Okay, so 2020 But 2019, when I listened to a lot of Celtic music, that was awesome. Dr. Preeti is awesome, and I love, love, love her and what she's done for me. And I was shocked because yesterday I was thinking the same thing because I'm really enjoying gratitude. Okay, Madam, it is really changing just the feeling that I'm living with. Yes, a general sort of calmness and positivity. And I'm realizing that gratitude is Perhaps the opposite of anxiety.
Exactly.
Anxiety and fear. Anxiety, fear. And I was doing— and then like 2-3 days I've really gotten back into my yoga and my tap dancing. Which is my workout and then my cooling down with the chill yoga. And then I was so happy, and then I fell asleep for 3 hours, and it's just like my body is really— and I was just so happy. It's going good, I'm great, and my body is actually responding to saying thank you.
So sweet, so sweet. Thank you, thank you. Namrita, how was your day?
Normal, ma'am. I couldn't do much today, it was a bit busier, but I felt happier, much happier. Being in gratitude is making me feel happy, more positive, calm. Good.
And, and you know, again, Namrita, your journey So just continue with the pace, comfortably.
Yes, ma'am.
Right. Good morning, Mama. But we will sort that problem also. Good morning, Nishant. How are you doing?
Good morning, ma'am. Yeah, doing great.
Good.
Little busy with the working life, right?
No, I thought personal relationships.
I hope so. I hope so.
No, I seriously thought that, Nishant. I said, yeah, health chapter. Okay, perfect. So, yeah.
Kalta, the gift of health is keeping me alive.
Good, good, Nishant. Perfect. Nice to see you early morning. Great. So let's read the next chapter.
Nishant, I'm very bad at it, ma'am.
You will learn with it, that's all right.
Let's see, ma'am, how soon it is.
Perfect. Now today the chapter is very, very interesting. Health, yes or no? Yes, ma'am. So the chapter today we are going to read is Magic Money. So, yeah, the ice machine, many notes, currency is there. Exactly.
It's adding sparkle around. Yes, because of the currency.
Perfect.
Okay, should I start, ma'am?
Yes, Namrata.
Gratitude is riches, complaint is poverty. Christian Science. If there's a lack of money in your life, understand that feeling worried, envious, jealous, disappointed, discouraged, doubtful, or fearful about money can never bring more money to you because those feelings come from a lack of gratitude for the money you have. Complaining about money, arguing about money, getting frustrated about money, being critical of the cost of something, or making someone else feel bad about money are not acts of gratitude, and the money in your life can never improve. It will worsen. No matter what.
So yeah, just a minute, Namrata. So how many of us actually do this? This is not for me, budget. Generally, right? But you know what she said? I will manage everything whatever is needed. So the energy there she had was so positive that I'm sure whatever she needs, she will find it. And yeah, you know, you start cribbing and thinking So let's see what she talks about now in the later lines, and you will understand this concept a little more. And if you are in gratitude for that, that will make You more rich, you will have many, many 100 rupees notes in the coming days. Rather than thinking, yes, no matter what your current situation, the very thought that you don't have enough money is being ungrateful for the money you have.
You have to get your current situation out of your mind and instead feel grateful for the money you do have, so the money in your life can magically increase. Whoever has gratitude for money will be given more, and she or he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have gratitude for money, even what she or he has will be taken from her or him.
Yes, now please wait. Let's see what this line is saying. Whoever has gratitude for money will be given more, and she or he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have gratitude for money, even what she or he has will be taken from her or him. They have more gratitude for money. Thank you, right? But middle class, poor family, have you ever thought This principle, I especially feel, ki peechhe se bahut role play karta hai. Aap kitne gratitude mein ho jo paisa aapke paas hai, that makes all the difference. So whoever has gratitude for money will be given more. So, aad se, rather than thinking ki mein apni salary bada hon kaise, just think ki yaar, jo mere paisa hai, uske liye main kaise zada gratitude karo. And she or he will have abundance. Whoever does not have gratitude for money, even what she or he has will be taken from her or him, right? Yes, Namrata.
Feeling grateful for money when you have very little is challenging for anyone, but when you understand that nothing will change until you are grateful, you will be inspired to do it. The subject of money can be a tricky one for many people, especially when they don't have enough. So there are two steps to the magic money practice. It's important that you read through the entire practice of magic money at the beginning of the day because you will continue with the money practice throughout the day. Sit down and take a few minutes to think back through your childhood before you had any or much money. As you recall each memory where money was paid for you, say and feel the magic words "thank you" with all your heart for each instance. Did you always have food to eat? Did you live in a home? Did you receive an education over many years? How did you travel to school each day? Did you have school books, school lunches, and all the things you needed for school? Did you go on any vacations when you were a child? What were the most exciting birthday gifts you received when when you were a child? Did you have a bike, toys, or a pet? Did you have clothes as you grew so quickly from one size to the next? Did you go to the movies, play sports, learn a musical instrument, or pursue a hobby? Did you go to the doctor and take medicines when you were not well? Did you go to the dentist? Did you have essential items that you used every day, like a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo? Did you travel in a car?
Yeah, just a minute. Can you imagine? And I don't know, have we been thankful for all this or not? Because your mouth will be, you know, stinking, right? When you were reading it, I've read this book book many times now. So much, so much we have in life to be thankful for. Yes.
Did you watch television, make phone calls, use lights, electricity, and water. All of these things cost money, and you received them all at no charge. As you travel back through memories of your childhood and youth, you'll realize how many things you received that equates to hard-earned money. Be grateful for every single instance and memory, because when you feel sincere gratitude for the money you've received in the past, Your money will magically increase in the future. It is guaranteed by universal law. I should continue, ma'am?
Yes, yes.
To continue with the practice of magic money, take a dollar bill and write on a sticker that you place on the bill, thank you for all the money I've been given throughout my life.
Yes, this is very important. So what Rhonda Byrne here is trying to tell us is, if we are not thankful for the past, we cannot be thankful for the present or future. Right? So in today's exercise, what we have to do is, thank you for all the money I've been given throughout my life. Right? Whatever you have with you, you can take one bill and write this on that.
Yes, Namrata, take your magic dollar bill with you today and put it in your wallet, purse, or pocket at least once in the morning and once in the afternoon, or as many times as you want. Take it out and hold the magic dollar bill in your hands. Read your written words and be truly grateful for the abundance of money you've been given in your life. The more sincere you are and the more you feel it, the faster you will see a miraculous change to the circumstances of your money. You will never know ahead of time how your money will increase. But likely you will see many different circumstances change for you to have more money. You could find money you didn't realize you had, receive unexpected cash or checks, receive discounts, rebates, or decrease in costs, or receive all kinds of material things that would have cost you money.
So all of us have seen the movie Secret, yes? Right, but it all depends on how much gratitude, hopeful you are already, what you have. Yes, Namrata.
After today, put your magic dollar bill in a place where you will continue to see it every day. To remind you to be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given, never forgetting that the more times you look at your magic dollar bill and feel gratitude for the money you have been given, the more magic you will bring forth. An abundance of gratitude for money equals an abundance of money. If you find yourself in a situation where you are about to complain about something to do with money, whether it's through your words or your thoughts, ask yourself, am I willing to pay the price for this complaint? Because that one complaint will slow or even stop the flow of money.
Yes. So, um, expensive, not worth it. Right? Just the thought takes us back. Just the thought takes us back. And it's not easy, ki wahan pe hum neutral hai paaye, ki bahut din mein kitni baare se ho jaata hai, that we have to think whether yeh mare budget mein hai, chizki nahi hai. Right? So let's see. Yes, Namrata.
From this day forward, make a promise to yourself that whenever you receive any money, whether it's your salary for work, a refund or discount, or something that someone gives you that costs money, you will be truly grateful for it. Each of these circumstances means that you have received money, and each instance gives you an opportunity to use gratitude's magical power to increase and multiply your money even more by being grateful for the money you have just received.
Perfect, beautiful. So let's see what the practice for today is to increase money in our life.
Magic money. Repeat steps 1 to 3 of magic practice. Number 1, count your blessings. Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you're grateful. Reread your list. Say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel gratitude for each one. Number 2, sit down and take a few minutes to think back to your childhood and all the things you received that were provided at no charge to you.
Number 3, just a minute, Namita. So this exercise 2 is so beautiful. And the beautiful thing is, sorry, positive memories. You will really come out a much, much, much more happier, satisfied. Person in more gratitude. Yes.
Number 3: As you recall each memory where money was paid for you, say and feel the magic word 'thank you' with all your heart for each instance. Number 4: Take a dollar bill or other small bill and write on the sticker that you place on the bill in big bold letters Thank you for all the money I have been given throughout my life. Number 5: Take your magic dollar bill with you today, and at least once in the morning, once in the afternoon, or as many times as you want, take it out and hold the magic dollar bill in your hands. Read your written words and be truly grateful for the abundance of money you've been given. Number 6: After today, put your magic dollar bill somewhere you will see it every day to remind you to continue to be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given in your life. Number 7: Just before you go to sleep, hold your magic rock in one hand and say the magic words, "Thank you for the best thing that happened during the day." Perfect.
Thank you, Namrita, for reading, and you really read very beautifully. Yes, perfect. So how many of you are excited to do the money?
Most excited, right?
Why? Because it gives us one more opportunity to give gratitude. So happiness, Uske baad agar aapke pass money hai, toh value add ho jaati hai, right? So koi bhi ek note lena apne abhi, after doing your gratitude list, uspe you will write thank you for all the money you've got in your life, and you have to look at it minimum 3 times. Chikaji, perfect. So any questions you have before we say good day?
I feel like I don't want this to end.
So sweet. And chaltai reyga— we will keep doing something or the other. Yes, so we can end with that beautiful song. So who is going to sing that? All of us can unmute ourselves. Chitra, you can unmute. Nishant, you can unmute. Yes. This little light of mine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. This little light of mine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. This little light of mine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Perfect! Thank you and have a very, very beautiful day. You too, ma'am.
Thank you so much.
Thank you. Bye-bye.
Bye.
Thanks. Hi, Mama. Perfect. Okay, bye-bye. Bye. Have a great day.
