BE GUTSY IN GRATITUDE - Day 8

In this 3‑hour group workshop led by Dr. Priti Nanda Sibal, participants practice gratitude as a tool for mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. The session opens with sharing personal experiences, including a participant’s job loss, health challenges, and the positive ripple effects of expressing thanks. Dr. Sibal then guides the group through a series of gratitude‑focused teachings: the ancient tradition of thanking food and water, the ecological chain that brings meals to the table, and the idea that gratitude can act like ‘magic dust’ that purifies what we consume. Participants are instructed to savor each bite, say “thank you” aloud, visualize magic dust, and count the colors on their plates (aiming for seven) as a proxy for a balanced diet. Additional practices include daily gratitude lists, holding a “magic rock” before sleep, and visualizing gratitude for water’s memory. The facilitator links these practices to claimed benefits such as improved digestion, better gut health, enhanced memory, reduced alcohol use, and overall increased happiness. The session concludes with a communal song and closing well‑wishes.
