Welcome to our channel Food, Medicine and Life, and I am Dr. Preeti Nanda Sibal, your functional medicine expert practicing in Gurgaon. So today we are going to make buckwheat pancake. Navratri ka masam hai, gluten-free jana hai, detox karna hai, toh iss se badiya recipe hohi nahi sakte. I have taken half bowl of kutukka atta, that is buckwheat atta. I'm adding it in my jar.
Perfect.
I'm adding half banana, a little grated coconut, some watermelon seeds and few pumpkin seeds depending on your taste. If you want to have some dry fruits also in this, you can have them. You can also add these later and not blend them. I have added a little in the jar and I've kept a little to be added later. I'm going to add some water because I don't need very liquid batter, but I don't need very, very solid batter also because we have to make pancakes.
This is the consistency we want so that we are able to fold it.
Pour and pour.
I really like that ad with Crunch.
I'm sure you guys have seen that ad. If not, you must see The child and the father have enacted it so beautifully that I really enjoy seeing that one. Just give me a second more, I'm going to blend it a little more and I'm ready. I'm going to take this out in my container, add a pinch of baking powder or baking soda. Right, and yeah, so I'm going to add a pinch of baking powder. Very little because I'm just making one pancake. And, um, yes, now the mixture is in my bowl and we are ready to make a pancakes. The mixture will look like this, you know, it will be free-flowing so that you can make a pancake properly. So now our mixture is ready. I am using desi ghee, and as you know, I don't use nonstick, so I will use a little more desi ghee. This is organic desi ghee, cow ghee, which I use. If you make it at home, that's the best. But remember, using good quality fat is very, very, very important. Whatever dish you make, if the quality of fat is not good, then nothing is going to be healthy for you.
