In this instructional video, Dr. Priti Nanda Sibal demonstrates how to make a traditional ginger (adrak) chutney while emphasizing its health benefits. She explains that ginger boosts glutathione, a key antioxidant for liver detoxification, and therefore the chutney acts as a "power bomb" for cleansing the body. The recipe uses fresh ginger, 6‑7 chilies, salt, cumin (jeera) seeds, lemon juice, and a small amount of water to achieve the desired consistency. Dr. Sibal walks through cutting the ginger, blending the ingredients without water initially to keep the chutney thick, then adding lemon juice and water as needed. She pours the finished chutney into an earthen container, recommends storing it in the refrigerator for 3‑4 days, and suggests using it with salads, soups, or other foods for flavor and health benefits. The tone is enthusiastic and instructional, encouraging viewers to try the recipe and share feedback.

Welcome to my channel Food, Medicine and Life, and today we are going to make ginger chutney. And you know what? Ginger makes glutathione, which is the diamond of detoxification in our body. Our liver health majorly depends on the levels of glutathione in our body, and that's the reason you would have seen that, you know, ginger in apple cider vinegar, ginger in our food is really used for benefits of health. So I've taken some ginger, cut it into small pieces, and I've added this in my blender. I've taken 6-7 chilies and I'm adding these here. A little salt as per my taste and some jeera seeds because it will help in digestion and it will also help with the flavor and the seasoning of the chutney. I have not added any water initially. Let me see how much I can blend and if required I will add a little water later on. Blend it once more. And now I squeezed 1 lemon juice in this bowl, and I'm going to add this. And just to improve its consistency, I'm going to add a little water. Yes, so that it becomes like a chutney. Initially I did not add any water because I did not want it to go very thin, because then you will not enjoy the real taste of adrak chutney, that ginger chutney. You can actually blend after adding lemon juice, or you can also add lemon juice after you have transferred it in your chutney. Now I want to add a little more water to this because you see the consistency is not what I would want. You can also keep it this consistency, but I want it a little more blended because I don't want that ginger coming in my mouth and You know, this consistency is what I like my chutneys in. Depending on your taste, you can have the consistency you want to have. The chutney is ready. I'm going to now pour it in my earthen container. Now, this is such a traditional chutney that You are tempted to use traditional utensils also to store this chutney in your fridge. Now you can add it with your food, with your salad, with your soup, and flavor to your food and also health to your body. Very, very simple to make, but a power bomb, atom bomb, because it is going to cleanse your body properly, thoroughly. Taste it and do share in the link below how did you like it. So the chutney is ready. You can store it in your fridge and Use it in the next 3 to 4 days.
