I am Dr. Uttara Mandip, a dentist by profession, and I have practiced for a few years as a dental surgeon, but now I'm a certified functional medicine health coach. So hamare liye peak performance and, um, everybody is achieving that. But by the time we want to achieve something in life and grow our business, we don't have that energy to do that. So this webinar is exactly for you and for me. So I have known Dr. Preeti for many, many years. She's been my therapist, my mentor, my doctor who treated me, and, and now she's a very, very good friend emotionally also, and, and just for talking also. So Dr. Preeti's Nanda Sibal holds a very high place in functional medicine society. She's an expert in her own field, and she doesn't need any introduction. She has a vast experience of 28 years in the healthcare industry, and I don't think I've met anyone who is so passionate, so full of energy, and such an enthusiast. She is all set to make India a healthier and a fitter place. She's very— she's a successful entrepreneur, a motivational speaker, a celebrated visionary, and she's the alumni of a very prestigious medical college, Amritsar. And also she has done her degree from IIM Lucknow. She holds a fellowship in functional medicine from, and she's also a certified executive health coach from CEC Florida. She's the president of IAFM India, and then she has 5 publishers, publications, and 3 books under her belt. So I think all of us should learn something from her. And the kind of energy levels that she has, I think job is— so without wasting much time and of yours, I would like Dr. Preeti to start off this session.
Thank you, Ramandeep, for such an elaborate introduction, and thank you everyone for joining us. Before I start, I have Mr. Atul with us, and he has to board a flight, but I really wanted that he shares with us his journey, his experience. So I am inviting Mr. Atul to please share his experience.
Mr. Atul, can you hear me?
Yes, I can hear you.
Welcome and thank you for being here. So Mr. Atul, please share your experience.
Is my voice audible?
Now it is.
Yeah, okay. Yeah, I would like to start with thanks. There is no end to that.
Thank you.
I met Dr. Preeti, I think, sometime about 4 or 5 months back, and those 4 or 5 months have been really transformational for me. Last several years, I've been— there has been a lot of stress in my life because of my work and also my parents at times, and also had lots of bouts of like twice I had TB, etc. So when I met Dr. Preeti in one of the seminars, she said that, okay, you can just come and meet me. So I just went there without much expectation that these things can't change. I used to do yoga, gym, etc. a lot, but because of autoimmune, the rheumatoid arthritis, it was all gone. And because of stress, there was a lot of— I won't say negative thinking, but there was a lot of stress at work. I do business turnaround, so any business turnaround from loss to profit is a lot of stress and something which I've been living with for last 20-25 years. When I met her, she said, okay, she said, gave me certain basic, basic logic that, okay, why this autoimmune happens. And the logic which she gave was so simple for me to understand that I just gave in full trust. I said, Dr. Preeti, whatever you want to do, I am fully in for you. And with that, I was— it was very difficult for me to walk because there was a lot of pain in my feet, there was a pain in my knee, and sometimes in my back. And the Doctor was debating about what is the dosage of medicines to be given so that I can treat. When I started treatment with her, I think that was about 3 weeks or 5 weeks, somewhere around that, the pain in the knees and the pain in the back was totally gone. Some throbbing pain in the feet remained, but the major thing which was actually getting escalated, that was went away totally. Something which I never was able to relate to this treatment I don't know how it worked. I used to have a lot of headache, whether because of stress or whatever. Headache and flatulence, the gas in the evening, all of them went. I'm not able to relate the root cause of this, which she, Dr. Preeti, explained me very well later on. I used to have a lot of dry mouth at night. I would wake up at 3 o'clock, 4 o'clock feeling totally parched, and also frequent urination. He did certain tests like artificial intelligence-based test, and she gave out the report, and then she interpreted those reports for me. Then I actually understood that why is this functional medicine so different. We are looking into medicine and the symptoms that certain— treating them. She went down to the elemental level of the body and said, because these things are wrong, this is the treatment you need to do. And since then, their life has totally changed at my work life, in my personal life. And amazingly, their stress has gone thanks to whatever elemental analysis she did for me. The stress has gone. I'm back in doing my yoga. So Dr. Preeti, I started with thanks and there is no end to my thanks to you. Thanks a lot.
Thank you, Mr. Atul. Thank you very much and thank you for being here and have a safe flight.
And you can share my number with anyone, anyone who wants to, has any doubt and wants to consult me, they can ask me any time of the day. This is, I think, due for you for my lifetime.
Thank you, Mr. Atul. Thank you very much. Thank you.
Hi, welcome friends!
And if I'm audible, give me a yes in the chat box. And yes has to be Y-E-S in capital.
And friends, I think all those who have heard me before, they know my rule is very simple. You will give me energy, I will give you back whatever I have. If you will not give me energy, I will not be able to give you anything. And this is for wellness of both of us. Anybody who can tell me why it is wellness for both of us? You being active, you writing, you chatting, you giving me answers and me sharing sharing my knowledge experience with you. Why is it important? Energy extent, yes. What else, guys? I know all of us are very, very, very busy, right? Anybody who is not busy, give me a thumbs up in the chat box. Anybody who is not busy, give me a thumbs up in the chat box. So no thumbs up. So we all agree we all are busy, right? Now you have taken out your special 3 hours to listen to how you can always stay in peak wellness state. Because we all know that if we are in peak wellness, our performance will be at its peak, right? Science shows that when you write, when you act, when you move, what happens? Your brain becomes more active. And when your brain becomes more active, what happens? You remember more, you will take home more, you will be able to implement more. So isn't it wellness for both of us? If you agree with me, give me a capital A in the chat box. Capital A, guys. Guys, we are 30 people. I have got 15 till now. I need all 30 A's here.
Great.
Now for some people I can see the name Vivek Nandwani. If you are not Vivek Nandwani, please change your name so that I can address you with your name. Because otherwise it gets very confusing.
Wow!
Can we all stand up wherever we are? If we are sitting and if we are standing up, then that's perfectly alright. Guys, everybody stand up please. This is about Peak Wellness, so I wanted to start with an energy exercise which is Peak State Exercise. I have also learnt it from my mentors, but I want you to learn it now from me. So if all of you are standing, everybody is standing, I'm expecting nobody is sleeping, nobody is lying down.
Great!
So put your right foot forward and your right arm forward. Right foot forward and your right arm forward. And yes, now just start moving like this. Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast, little more, little more, please run fast, run fast, run fast. A little more, please. Little more. Yes, yes, yes! Wow!
A little more.
You are the leader. You are coming first. Please, just 30 seconds more. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! I'm the winner! All of you guys, please loudly, I'm the winner! And now your left feet in front and left hand in front. And again the same thing, 30 seconds you have to run standing on one position and see how your state of energy shifts. Start! Yes, yes, run! A little more fast! Faster, faster, guys, faster! Yes, yes, you are achieving peak wellness! Come on, run fast, run fast, run fast! I am the winner! Wow! If you are feeling nice, if you are feeling energized, give me a smiley in the chat box, please. Smiley, please.
Oh wow, I've got some smileys. Great, nice.
So peak wellness for peak performance. How did this topic come to my mind?
You will get to know by the end of this session, right?
But thank you for being here. Because your being here clearly tells me that you know that your performance depends on your wellness, right?
I have a questionnaire for you which I will share with you in a little while. Before that, I want to share my story with you. I think I have some of my IIM classmates here.
Hi, Govind! And this was me When I was in IIM, 2009 to 2012. Right?
And I don't think anybody knew that I had, in addition to obesity, lot of other things.
My situation was like, oh God, my gut was bad, I was obese, and I was a diabetic. And why?
Because this was my lifestyle.
I loved junk food. I grew in an era where McDonald's had come, Pizza Hut had come, Domino's had come, and I used to love all of this. One thing I never had was cold drinks, and thanks to that, that I survived. But this world of processed foods where companies spend less on the product and more on finding what is it that they can put in this food to make it addictive for you.
Yes, yes, I know this now.
I did not know this then.
So, and I used to actually, you know, saying that my husband doesn't like junk food, because of him we have to eat dal roti, not knowing one day I will become one biggest propagator of dal chawal, right?
And I would start following the way he eats. But this was me, always with a packet, always in a nice place eating some junk food with a clear statement, I don't like ghar ka khana. Okay, I don't know how many of you can associate with me. I don't know how many of you have grown in those times, but this was me.
And then what happened? I had hypothyroidism, I had obesity, migraine. 3 days in a week, friends, I used to have migraine. Anybody here who knows or has ever suffered from migraine or knows Anybody who has migraine, check with them and they will tell you this is the worst condition one can ever have.
You know, there was this movie, Wednesday, where that girl never remembered what happened on Wednesdays with her, right?
I hope I'm saying the name right, but it— I think it was Wednesdays, yes.
And I used to laugh in my office saying, she only didn't remember what happened one day, I don't remember 3 days.
Because when my migraine starts, it continues for 3 days. Right? I had fibroids, excessive bleeding, cervical issues. Twice I went for MRI, nothing came out. And I used to be always aching. My body used to be aching. I used to really want, you know, somebody should keep squeezing my knees or my legs.
Somebody should keep massaging me on my shoulders because I had that perpetual ache.
I was an asthmatic. I remember we were out on an Anital trip and at 2:30 at night I had an asthma attack and unfortunately I was not carrying my inhaler and I had to actually wake up my husband and both of us walked. The hospital was nearby. Luckily we got an inhaler there and I could breathe again, but it was traumatic. It was very, very, very traumatic. Body aches, I've told you all the time.
When my kids used to be free, I just used to, you know, get a hint that they don't have too much of work to do, as to tell them, please, can you help me?
Mere yaap ho dardura hai, mere yaap ho theek ho raha hai, right?
I don't know how many of you can relate to that. Fatigue, the moment I used to come back home, I used to leave my slippers somewhere and then sit on the bed and tell my aunt or my help, that please get me a cup of tea because I am too, too, too tired, right?
And then constipation.
I think that was always there.
And the biggest problem used to happen when I had to travel and take early flights. One day before the flight, my challenge was not packing, my challenge was not what I will do in the meetings, my challenge was how will I clean my bowels in in the morning before I leave, because otherwise whole day my energy will be low.
I had dry hair, right?
And I've always kept long hair, but I actually had to get them cut in between.
I had a bob cut for a long while because they were just unmanageable.
I had rhinitis. I sneezed when I get up in the morning, whenever I will reach any place, and even there's little dust or there is some agarbatti or flavor or deodorant, I will start sneezing and people will think I don't know what has happened, right?
I am sure all of you would be thinking, itna sab kuch pata do chalta nahi tha, right?
And similarly, if you will sit with yourself, your me time, you will realize what all you are also going through. And we will do that exercise.
And now this is me. So this was me when I was in college.
This is me after my functional medicine.
I am sure all of you can appreciate that I've gotten younger, I've gotten fitter.
I don't have asthma anymore, no diabetes, no body aches. I don't have to tell anybody to come and, you know, massage me here or my legs.
Nothing of that sort.
And I am cool. Right? So this is my story, friends. If anyone of you could associate with this, please give me a yes in the chat box.
Yes, thanks Govind. I, when I see my own photographs, I wonder, hey, this was me only? Okay, anybody who can relate to this story?
Anybody with their own story, with their loved one's story, with their parents, friends, relatives, anybody's story? Anybody else? Right, so most of us have had 1, 2, 3 symptoms even if we are very young. Right?
So before I take you forward on what I did, how I changed myself and what you can do too, I would want all of you, I hope you have got the printout of the workbook which we had shared with you. If you have got the printout of the workbook which we had shared with you, please have a pen ready. And if you have not got the printout of the workbook, just get some paper or pen.
I see lot of people again with name Vivek Nandwani. I will please request you to change the name to your name.
You just have to click there and change the name.
Right?
So if you have got the pen and paper with you, I am sure you have got it. Fold the paper from the center. Fold the paper from the center. On one side write possibilities and second side write doom. So on possibility side you can write, you know, energy throughout the day at the same level. Decision making very sharp. I go to bed and sleep in 3 minutes. I wake up very fresh and energetic. I don't need any time between waking up, freshening up, and feeling energetic.
And on the doom side, you can obviously, you write the other stuff, whatever challenges you have.
You're swelling in the body.
You have thin hair, you have dull face, whatever you think you have, write on the doom side.
I'll give you 3 minutes to do this exercise.
Please take out time and write it. Unfortunately, you know, we don't get time for such things for our own self. So much is happening with within us. Itto, when I look back and think, someday I used to have migraine, someday asthma, someday constipation, right?
That is when I put together everything and realized I was living with all of this.
So fortunately you are getting time today. Take out time and Write one side possibilities and other side doom. If you have any questions, if you think you have not realized, right?
So possibilities is the possibility you think with your health. You are not on any medications, you are on the same energy from morning to night, you take 3 minutes to sleep when you go to bed, you can sleep on time, get up on time, You can make good decisions, you don't feel tired, you don't feel irritable. Right?
And doom is you are a diabetic, you have headaches, you have migraine, you have swelling, you have irritability, you have depression, you have anxiety, you have autoimmune conditions.
Whatever you have, it's on the doom side.
Side. So possibility is what better can you do, and doom is your current situation, or looking at your current situation, what is it that can happen in future?
Even that.
So for example, we know that 70% chances of heart attack are higher in patients who are diabetic.
Right? So that's a doom.
And possibility is that you no more are a diabetic, you reverse your diabetes, you are able to stop your medications, your pancreas functions perfectly well.
Right? So if you have written, just write here score P is equal to this, D is equal to this.
So if you have written 5 things in P, write P is equal to 5.
If you have written 7 things in D, Write D is equal to 7. Yes, please. Remember, you— nobody can be at their space where there is no possibility. There is always a level up when it comes to your health, when it comes to your earnings, when it comes to your relationships. Even if you have—
you think you have perfect relationship now, you can still make it better. So if you have perfect relationship with your body now, You can still make it better.
So please write what is that possibility for you.
Yes, so what is that possibility for you? Anybody who has written, please share the score with me. Very nice. Okay. Very nice, Govind.
And I don't know whether this is Vivek Nandwani or not.
Whosoever this is.
Yes guys, others also, please write.
This is a time for self-inspection, self-assessment. Very good. Ah, wow.
So friends, as a practice, you know, how often do you see your bank account balance?
At least once a month, right? If we start doing this exercise, possibility versus doom, once a month for our health, you know what will happen? We will be able to improve quickly, sooner. We will realize what is shifting and we will be able to bring it back quickly. And this just takes 3 to 5 minutes.
But the point is that in our daily lives we think about everything else. We think about grocery, we think about so many other things, but what we don't think about is us, right?
So maybe add this in the space too. I'm sure all of you would agree with me that, you know, we are going through a period of health crisis. Yes, why do I say that? Because young children are becoming diabetic now, hypertensive now, depression, anxiety. You know what happened 2-3 years back when a young guy, 25-28 years old, used to come to me, I used to ask them, why have you come? Do a normal chit-chat and then let them go, right? But over the years I realized that if they have come, they are definitely feeling something on the doom side. Sometimes they are not able to express or say that with confidence, and that's the reason you miss it. For example, very recently You know, a very young, well-shaped, handsome guy came to my clinic and said, Dr. Preeti, I just want a regular assessment. And the way I am now, I said, let's get your basic panel checked, right? He was pre-diabetic, he had hypercholesterolemia, he had low vitamin D, low vitamin B12, telling that some gut issue is definitely there. He had lots of yawning post-lunch or post-meals. He used to feel very tired during the day after every 2-3 hours, and his cortisol levels came so low in the morning that we had to start working on that too with his prediabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and other deficiencies. So what I'm trying to say is that we are going through a healthcare crisis. And the second challenge now is that this healthcare crisis will not be solved by going to the doctors.
Doctors can help you, but it is you, it is us who have to take the responsibility for our own health. Doctors can give us a prescription for that emergency period. That is very important, that is life-saving, right? But after that, if we don't take responsibility of our health, or even before that, if we don't take responsibility of our health, then what does that mean?
That means that we are not interested in handling this healthcare crisis properly.
Right? McDonald's, Burger King, snacking outside, too much of coffee which is adulterated with toxins like magnesium, packed food.
So if you go on my YouTube, you will find a video where I'm talking about label reading. Unfortunately, you know, Americans and all, they do read their labels very, very cautiously. But in India, we have still not got into this habit of reading labels.
How many of you read labels? Give me a thumbs up in the chat box.
How many of you read labels every time you eat something from a packaged food?
Thumbs up. I have only got 2 thumbs up till now.
3.
So friends, we all must read labels.
And do visit my YouTube channel, Food, Medicine and Lies.
Bhavna will share the link in the chat box. And go through it so that you know what is in the label which you should be aware of. Right? Reading labels is very, very important.
Now what is all this doing in our body? It is leading to inflammation. And you know, friends, If you go on my YouTube channel, this Friday I had invited Dr. Tom O'Brien from America. He's a very, very renowned doctor who's been working on celiac disease and brain health issues since many, many, many years. And of course, science also says that, that 80% of diseases today Are what?
Because of inflammation.
Right?
And he gave a very, very nice analogy to this, which is waterfall analogy. Which is also mentioned in his book, Brain on Fire. Right? And do you want to know what is this waterfall analogy?
If you want to know, give me a yes in the chat box. Great.
So this waterfall analogy, what he said was, he said what happens is when you have symptoms and when you get a disease, for example diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, depression, whatever, it is like you have fallen from the top of the waterfall into the pond. Right? Then with doctor's help, with changing your lifestyle a little, taking lot of stress or relaxing yourself, you start to float on the pond.
And maximum number of patients stay there for a very, very, very long time.
But what we need to do is we need to climb up the waterfall. What do we need to do? Climb up the waterfall and go on that top. And then sit with a pen and paper or with your mind focused and see what made you fall from there and what kept you in the pond for whatever time you were there in the pond. And once you have that list ready, just correct that list and you will never fall from that waterfall again. I thought this was wonderful. You know why? Because our brain is made in a way, or human body is made in a way, that movement makes us focused. Movement makes us give results. Yes or no? I'm sure everybody would say yes.
And on this, you know, one of my teachers from American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, US, shared with me. She said, I don't like exercising, Dr. Preeti.
I just don't like exercising. What do you think? She does exercise or she doesn't? What do you think? She exercises or she doesn't exercise? Yes or no? Dr. Pushpa, she does. And you know why? Because she knows that if she will not exercise, she will lose her memory. And all the work she does, is based on her memory.
Please mute yourself, I think somebody has unmuted.
So that is exceptionally important that you have a bigger why. So friends, what is your why for coming for this webinar? And what is your why for listening to this Peak Wellness for Peak Performance webinar. This exercise was meant to be done later, right? But this just felt an apt time because you already know your possibilities and dooms, right? To correct your doom back, right? And to have that waterfall sequence finding out why did you fail. Fall, find your why. Because if you have a stronger why, like this doctor friend of mine, right? You will do that exercise of why did you fall from the waterfall? What were the reasons? And you will correct them. But if you don't have a strong why, then what will happen? You will not correct them. And because you don't have a stronger why, you, I think you will not even sit and find out why you fell down from the top of the waterfall into the pond. Right? So your why please.
Write down your why for attending this session today.
Because that will be your why for taking care of your health, and that will be your why, your why, not mine, not somebody else's, your why for finding out why did you fall. If you have an autoimmune condition, why did you have an autoimmune condition? Write all the things down, and then correcting it will not be difficult. Some people are raising hands.
I'm going to give a break and then take questions from everybody.
Just let me finish this portion. Yes, please. Your why. Because finding your why is very, very, very, very, very important. And if from today's webinar this is one thing you take back, my time is worth invested and your time is worth invested.
So please, on that workbook, write down your why for taking care of your health.
Take your time.
This is very important. I'll give you 5 minutes. Just relax and write. Write one why, then write second why, and write 7 whys. And it has to be why? Because I want to be healthy. Why do you want to be healthy? Because I want to enjoy my old life. Why do you want to enjoy your old life? Because I have lots of things in my bucket list which I have to do.
Why do you have a long bucket list?
Because I am a fun-loving person and I don't get that much time right now. Why don't you get that much time right now? Because I am busy with other things. Why are you busy with other things? Because a lot of my time goes when I am low on energy, and therefore I'm not left with good time. What is it that you can do to improve your energy? I can take care of myself. And if you don't know what you will do for your energy, I'm going to tell you today what you have to do for your energy. So that's how you need to write 7 whys of why you you are here and why you decide to take care of your health and why you plan to be in peak wellness state always. So once you've written, please just give me a message, done, and I will continue.
Great.
Give you 2 more minutes. Very, very apt. Yes, we realized this time, you know, we had gone on a meditation retreat and we realized that even for our spiritual journey we have to be fit and at our peak wellness.
Because even when you are planning to sit at— for meditation, you are planning to go to a temple, what is gonna happen?
If you are not at your peak wellness, you will You will be tired and you will sit in between and you will not be able to do that. Or you will not be able to sit for meditation also for some time. So this is very, very, very important. Okay, so I'll continue now.
I'm sure you've written.
If you have not, after this After class, at night, or early morning tomorrow, please do this exercise.
Why is very important. Yes, so you have to correct your IBS, Mr. Pandit. And you have to find out from the top of the waterfall what all happened that you fell in the pond. And once you do that, find a functional medicine doctor like myself or anybody else. And get rid of IBS. And I think you will find a lot of solution today. Uh, just hold on. So medicine cabinet today, look, all of us, majority, either us, our parents, our friends, somebody is having these medicines these days, right? But it is now time. I think this COVID pandemic has done one good We never used to know or want to know about health before this, right? But now everybody wants to know about health.
And if we can convert this pandemic to something good for us, this is it.
We can change this medicine cabinet today to this medicine cabinet for tomorrow. Now what is this?
This lot of patients come to me and say, we have never taken supplements, we do not want to take supplements, why are you giving me supplements, and all of that. Anybody who will want to answer why we really need to give supplements in today's time? Because of two things. One, actually three things.
One, the food which we eat has less nutritional content now. If you look at spinach, the magnesium content has gone down by one-third. Second, the amount which we eat has further gone down, right? And third, because of the stress we live in, because of the Wi-Fi environment we live in, because of the ACs we sit in and the whole lifestyle we've screwed up, the usage of these nutrients has increased and therefore we become deficient.
Deficient. And that's the reason we need some superfoods in our diet so that we stay healthy.
And I am going to talk about superfoods which you should be using.
So guys, I am sure you, you know, recognize some of them.
What is it that these people do extra which some of us are not doing? Because they are in peak wellness state. At 100, right, years, Soja Singh ran a marathon. He started running a marathon at 89 years. It was his first marathon.
What did he do specially?
Splash Sisters at 80 years playing basketball.
At 74 years, this lady is a personal trainer, and at 93, this lady teaches yoga. What is it that these guys do different?
Anybody who wants to share what is it that these guys different? Yes, Sourabh.
That's the reason lot of symptoms are happening.
Kirk cousins, right? Exercise, nutrition, rest. These were the three pillars they followed, and that's the reason they won.
Right? So friends, important here for us to notice that, you know, our bodies always talking to us. The question is, are we listening to our body?
Our body is always talking to us.
When you get up in the morning, if you feel tired, body is talking to you, saying something didn't go on well at night, I'm not feeling very alert. When you come from the office or during the office hours, you need an extra cup of coffee Your body is talking to you. Your body is telling you something's not gonna right today. I am needing this extra caffeine today to pull my day, right? Your nails break, your hair fall increases. Body is talking to you, but are we listening? Friends, if we start listening, we can actually help this healthcare crisis not grow further and Reduced significantly. This is what happens in our body. And it's happening in young people also. In fact, in all mental health conditions you find, in all heart health conditions, in lot of diabetics, irritable people, you find that there is rusting happening inside your body.
If your car is like this, rusted, will you get it repaired? It is repaired or will you say no, TK, it's okay, I am fine, let it stay like this.
If you will do 1, give me 1, if you will do 2, give me 2.
1 is you will leave it like this, rusted. 2 is you will get it painted again and remove the rust. 1 or 2? Only 3 people will do 2, so I think remaining will do 1. Right? Is that so? Saarab, for the car it is obvious, for our body it is not. Including myself, I know of so, so, so many people who will live with high homocysteine but not do something to bring it down. Right? So obviously too good for the car. We are more aware of the car.
Our cars go for servicing every 6 months or even less.
How often does our body go for complete servicing? Not sure, right? So these are the numbers. If you are really a health freak, please take a photograph of this slide.
These are the numbers you must check whenever you do your regular 6-monthly health checkup. Please take a photograph and don't mind, homocysteine has been mentioned twice by mistake. But it is extremely important that we know this number. In today's world, When people are coming with anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, and all these mental health conditions, one parameter if it is right can help us significantly, and that is homocysteine. Right? And before now I come to my next slide, I will want to invite Ramandeep.
Ramandeep, are you there?
Yes, ma'am.
Yeah, so I will want to invite Ramandeep to share her experience of finding out what was wrong and how she corrected it. Over to you, Ramandeep. And remember, people are listening to you, so share as much details as you can because you never know whose life gets transformed with your message today.
Yes, thank you, ma'am, and definitely I would do that because my life definitely has changed, uh, after meeting you and getting treated by you. So I am Dr. Ramandeep. I'm a dentist by profession, but now I'm a certified functional medicine health coach. For as long as I can remember, I think probably, uh, since my school days, I had always been suffering from headaches, cervical problems, fatigue. But I was a very good sports person and always very, very active and very conscious of what I was eating. After I got married and I continued the same lifestyle of exercising regularly, eating as healthy as I could, buying best of food and best of vegetables, but somehow I continued to have aches and pains. I think, and I used to get myself tested every once in a year. And about 15 years back, I came to know that I have cholesterol issues, and I asked my doctor, so they said, because it is running in your family, so you have cholesterol and you have to take this medicine. So I was a dentist, but you know that cholesterol can be corrected. So I started taking cholesterol medicine for innumerable years, and I was having aches and pains and lethargy. I was having pains. They used to say, uh, it's okay because you do so much of work, you're so active, you know, you're having aches and pains, calm down, go slow, don't exercise so much. And because of that, my anxiety levels were very high. And, um, few years back I started having intestinal issues and I went to the gastroenterologist, best of gastroenterologist in Chandigarh, and they got me tested for everything. Colonoscopy, they got me tested for cancer. So ultimately, you have nothing, just IBS. And what was IBS? IBS was what? Irritable Bowel Syndrome. And he gave me medicines and you'll get okay.
And it didn't get okay.
So I was really, really troubled. And I was meanwhile doing functional medicine also. So I put it, you know, I reached out to doctors, who can help me. And Dr. Preeti was very, very kind enough. And personally, she sent me a message that talk to me and I'll help you out. And it was at that time, about 3 years back, I got in touch with her and she started, you know, first she did my basic blood test. Blood test, but basic blood test of insulin levels, thyroid levels, the other kind of levels that had to be tested. And I came to know that I had so much of inflammation and everything was wrong. I I was thinking that I was healthy, but I wasn't healthy from inside. So she started going step by step, one by one, started treating my symptoms, started health, you know, healthifying my gut. It took me 1 year to change my gut flora, and then I was weaned off cholesterol medicine. Today I don't take cholesterol medicine at all, and it is only thanks to—
Very nice!
And my gut has become much, much better, and my IBS has totally gone. I don't have any issues with IBS. And guess what, my IBS was because of my food allergy, and that only I came to know through Dr. Preeti. And I am very, very energetic, though not as energetic as she is. I want to match up to her energy levels, but I can say that I am very healthy. My skin is glowing. I am happy, and It is only because of her treatment and functional medicine approach. So what we see as being healthy is not healthy, and what our doctors tell us that this is what is right, taking medicines is right, is not true. So if anybody wants to change themselves— this is me, I'm telling you, I'm not promoting anything, but this is why, because I have benefited a lot from her. If anybody wants to change anything in their body and want to heal themselves, please go through functional medicine approach because it is not just, you know, changing, uh, it is your lifestyle that is changing. So for me, it has been a life, uh, it has been a change. I don't take medicines anymore. I am very energetic and very happy. So it's only thanks to her. She's been a good, great support for me as a doctor, as a friend, and as a mentor. So thank you, Dr. Preeti, for everything that you have done for me and the lifestyle that you have given me today.
Thank you, Ramandeep. Thank you, and thank you for inspiring others and sharing your journey. Thank you very much.
So now let's move forward.
Why I wanted Ramandeep to tell us here, you know, about her story, because sometimes we think it's a numbers will get tested, right?
And it is important that we get these tested because if we don't get these tested, how do we know where to start work?
We will not know and whole life will pass by and we will not be able to rectify things.
So getting testers is important and of course it does help us. So, How many of you want excellent sleep, best memory, peak of energy, and high productivity? If you want any of these or all of these, please give me a smiley in the chat box. I love smiles. And if you all will give me smiley, then only I'm going to tell you what you need to do. Smiley, please.
Awesome!
Great! So let me tell you what you have to do to achieve all this.
First and foremost, rest and rejuvenation. I don't know how many of you have seen the situation, but I was studying functional medicine and I was feeling extremely tired and I could cry at the click of the finger and I was not able to memorize lot of stuff. And then I got myself tested and realized my cortisol levels were so low because for last many, many years I had not been taking care of myself.
And that's when I realized that rest is important.
It doesn't mean you need to spend a lot of time for that, but it does mean that you need to know how to rest properly, right? And today I'm going to share with you what does this mean. You know what, lot of patients of adrenal fatigue who have crashes during the day who need lot of support from caffeine and all, who get into fights and all, who cry a lot.
They come to me and I tell them, 6 weeks no exercise, only rest. So any exercise which makes you rested is the exercise you're gonna do.
Once you've taken care of that, nutrition— we all know it is very, very, very important, but I think Unfortunately, we all stick to the just tip of the iceberg. What should we eat?
That's just the tip of the iceberg, and I'm going to talk about more beyond, below that iceberg.
What is it that you need to be careful about?
So stay here. If you want to get your tea, coffee, I'm going to give you a break in 10-15 minutes. Just don't move till then.
Exercise, very, very important, but right type of exercise.
And why?
I'm going to share that with you.
So are you ready, guys? If you are ready, give me a Y-A-Y-Y, yay, in the chat box.
Yay!
Wow, I like that. It's almost more than an hour since we've started and all of you are awake. Thank you. So maybe you can all pack your bag, guys. Nice.
So when it comes to rest, the most important thing is sleep. Yes? How do we sleep? See, we know we sleep in 90 to 110 minute cycles and we have 5 phases of sleep. But to get good sleep, what is it that we are missing today?
And what is it that we can do to improve our sleep?
One, keep our phones outside.
I know it's difficult.
Sometimes you're waiting for your kids' phone, sometimes you're waiting for your client's phone, but still, if you can, keep it outside. Second, if you can switch off your Wi-Fi at night, gazab, you must try and do it. Third, sleep in a room where you don't have TV and you don't do your office work.
I know that's difficult.
Sometimes you don't have that type of space, but then at least before sleeping, 30 minutes before sleeping, close everything and relax so that you can sleep properly. And last but very, very, very important What is very important is breathing.
If you breathe properly, you need to sleep less. If you breathe properly, you get good quality of sleep.
If you breathe properly, you manage your stress nicely.
So friends, a test for all of you. Sit down, put your hand on your abdomen like this. And take a deep breath in and then a deep breath out. And let me know when you took the deep breath in, your abdomen came— went in or out. And when you took a deep breath out, your abdomen came in or out. Give me in the chat box what happened when you took breath. Deep breath in. You can also do it standing. The posture should be right.
Your heels should be touching the wall like this, and your head should be touching the wall like this. And now take a deep breath in, put your hands on your abdomen, and deep breath out. Deep breath in, deep breath out.
When you took breath in, abdomen came out? Great pushpa! So perfect! All those whose abdomen came out when you took their breath in, they're breathing All those whose abdomen went in when they took breath in, they need to work on your breathing.
Great! Please change your name if you are not Vivek Nandwani.
So what next?
Next is you need to understand your hormone pathways, because rest and regeneration happens when your hormones are in balance. If you are very stressed, all your catabolic hormones which break down your body, they start acting, and all your anabolic hormones like growth hormone and all, which actually keep your body young and alive and energetic and at peace weak wellness, they decrease. So it's very important that you check your hormones and keep them in balance. And if you are stressed, do not take caffeine, do not do chest breathing, do not sleep less, but do walking, look at nature, look at some flowers, some greenery. How many of you have experienced it when you go out and you know you are in a park with very beautiful flowers, or you've gone on a vacation and you are on a beach, suddenly you feel very calm and very relaxed and very nice? If you, if you felt like that, give me a yes in the chat box. Yes. But the moment you come back to your work, again that, you know, that calmness goes away, right? Why? Because we are stressed out and we don't know how to manage our stress. But friends, this is exceptionally important that we know how to manage our stress, right? So that, you know, we can stay healthy.
Now before I come to nutrition, I want all of you to do this poll. I have launched a poll, you will see it in your screen.
Please answer the 3 questions I have there. Yes, please. So I am still waiting for some more answers because everybody has not responded. Only 8 out of 23 have answered the questions.
It is for your good if you will remember what you are doing. It will have a long-lasting impact.
Sit, breathe for a minute, and then write how many breaths you have taken in a minute.
So please respond, guys. So once your stress in regeneration has been taken care of So I've shared the results and I've stopped sharing the poll.
Second is nutrition, right? I know it is not easy to know what to eat, what not to eat, and that's not what my focus is when I want people to be in peak wellness. What I want you to understand is Eat healthy, and I'll tell you how to decide that.
How does the body—
how does the digestion happen in your body? Keep a note of it, and if there is any symptoms you have, get them treated and checked. And elimination—
passing pee twice a day is the best, but if once a day also you have Well-formed soft stools, 2 pieces coming out, that's the best elimination.
So people who were not able to answer the poll, please you can answer it now because I think you were a panelist and you were not able to. Now you can answer the poll.
So what is it that we want?
See, there are diets when people say you take this much of carbohydrate, this much of fat, this much of protein. And there are other diets, especially keto, where they say fat should be 70%, carb and protein should be less.
But for peak wellness, what I am saying is For peak wellness, what I'm saying is just upgrade your food a little. For example, people who have registered for this webinar today, I will share a list with them on their WhatsApp and their email ID. So make sure that when you've registered, your email ID and WhatsApp are A list of dirty dozen. So it's simply what you can do is either do not eat those 12 foods.
That's by the Environmental Association of US. They release it every year after doing lot of research and study.
Or buy them organic.
So I understand buying everything organic is not easy. We don't know whether organic is true or not. But now we have some good online portals like farmery.in where you can get it.
Don't eat those dirty dozen if you can't take organic.
But if you can take 2 foods from that list of dozen and get them organic, you are improving your wellness.
It is that simple, friends. And you know what?
I strongly believe, and I have seen Staying in peak wellness and having your performance at peak is not a very difficult thing.
Anybody is having difficulty in poll, please send me a message in the chat box.
You can do it again, but all right.
We will send you this questionnaire after this webinar.
You can do it then and we can assess your thing.
I wanted to share with you with this poll though, we should all have less than 10 breaths in a minute. That's ideal.
Anybody having 15 or more than 15 breaths in a minute must look into it. Why is that happening?
Right? So let's look at nutrition again. So I am saying that— please, I am stopping the poll.
Yeah, thank you.
I am saying that journey to peak wellness is is not difficult. It is to be taken step by step, one step at a time.
And second, you must have a very, very, very strong why. And I'm going to tell you a story where you will understand why why is so important. Right. Now this is the last slide I will take and then I will give you a 5-minute break. People can have water, people can get their cups of tea and then be back with me. Right?
I will also have a glass of water and come back.
Next, please make sure that the nutrition you have keeps your pH to alkaline zone. But guys, do you know, if you are stressed out, you will never have an alkaline pH. If you have toxic metals in your body, you will never have an alkaline pH. So if you think that only eating alkaline foods will going to make your body alkaline, No. Sorry, but no. And that's the reason knowing what is happening in your body. When you get your blood test checked, you can get your blood pH done, you can get your urine pH done. And then if your pH is not right, find out if you have any toxins in your body or are you very stressed?
And work on it.
And you will have an alkaline body.
Right?
I get a lot of patients who have heavy metals. So we do this test, Legoscan, which is an artificial intelligence test. It tells you what metals and minerals are high or low in your body. So extremely useful. And most of my patients who have high metal toxicity have acidic body. And that's the reason I'm telling you, make sure you eat good food, you are stressed and regenerated, you exercise so that it helps in detoxing, and still keep your numbers right. Right, so with this slide, I'm going to give you a 5-minute break. If that's all right, please give me a yes in the chat box.
Perfect. So we should eliminate contamination. I've told you already, we should fix water.
The best way to fix water is put it in sun for 4 hours and then drink it. The water gets structured, it gets energized, and it energizes you.
Nourish your prana.
You know, in Indian traditions, we always use to say pray before you eat food because the energy in the food is critical. So nourish your prana, right?
And I'm going to see you exactly in 5 minutes.
Please don't be late.
It's 5:32 right now.
I will see you at 5:37.
See you in 5 minutes.
[No speech]So I am back. If anybody wants to say something, ask questions. Please feel free to ask.
And I think I have got two messages.
That the questionnaire is not moving forward. I don't know why, because here it is moving. And technology can always play games. So we have to be careful. Right? But do check your breathing because that's very, very important. 2 more minutes. So if somebody has gone to have tea or something, let them come back. So meanwhile, if anybody has questions, you can ask in the chat box. I can allow you to speak then.
Wow!
So we can start.
So guys, are you fresh or are you feeling sleepy? 1 or 2?
Okay, very nice. Anybody who is feeling sleepy?
Because then I'll have to do something different. To wake you up. Great.
So what are the basic superfoods which we can introduce? Flaxseeds, alsi ke bij. Kitne sabhiyon se matla, we have been using those but we have never valued them enough. They are a great source of omega-3 They improve your memory, they help you manage your sugar levels better, your bone health, so much more. Cod liver oil, omega-3, wheatgrass, and chlorella spirulina, they help you detox and also keeps your minerals at an optimum level.
So these—
so few other superfoods are cod liver oil, flaxseeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, coconut, macadamia nuts, cocoa, and whole foods. So please include them in your diet and you will see your energy level shifting.
So this is Bharti.
Her son is getting married next week, so she's extremely busy.
Busy, but this is what she has to say for all of you.
When I moved in Delhi in 2005, with every opportunity knocking my door, health problems came as a part of the package. Soon I realized those were the lifestyle diseases— blood pressure, high sugar, anxiety, abnormal weight gains, etc. I was put on medications, but it ended up making my health worse.
Then I learned about functional medicine and how Dr.
Preeti guides her patients through difficult scenarios.
I approached her, and it wasn't very late that I started seeing positive results.
With her flexible yet efficient diet regimes, crisp consultation, and a very positive aura, I was able to completely bring my health to normal. My weight reduced from 85 to 62. I am not on any medications now and my confidence is on cloud nine. It's all because of Dr. Preeti's able guidance. So she is such a dynamic woman, I can't tell you. And she was one of my first few clients when I started functional medicine.
So what I'm trying to say and why I've put it here and I wanted to share it with you is it is It is never too late and it is not too difficult.
Right? Now nutrition is over and before I come to exercise, I have a very, very, very, very important thing to talk about.
Any guesses from this picture? What is it that I am so excited about talking about? Kya hai? What is it? Any guesses please? What is my next topic? What is it that I am going to talk to you about?
Okay.
No. Try again. And you know why I have put it here?
Because for doctor, So this program is specially only for doctors, health coaches, and business owners.
Right?
Why? Because these are the guys who have to stay at optimum energy, peak wellness always. Because they have to perform at their peak performance.
Imagine a doctor feeling tired and looking at patient's reports. What will happen?
Wrong diagnosis can happen, right? So it's very important that we set that right. And similar for business owners and trainers, I am talking about what are your energy levels at this time. Time management versus energy management, which one do you think is more important? One is time management, two is energy management.
If you can only do one, which one should you prioritize? Right, Yoga, you are being honest.
Because most of us have done courses, use apps to know how to do time management, right? I know of lot of coaches who work on time management and they are very, very premiumly priced. But interestingly, I realized that time management is not that important. Energy management is more important. And I will share with you other guys who think similar. Manage your energy to manage your time.
Why?
Because— and this you can't make more minutes in a day.
You also have 24 hours, I also have 24 hours, and everybody else has 24 hours.
What you can change for time is if your energy stays optimum throughout the day, you do not waste your time time feeling sick, feeling low, feeling depressed, feeling tired, and you can get lot, lot, lot more productivity, right?
You can't make more minutes in the day, but you can increase your energy and hence your performance and hence get more output and hence be more successful. K. Cruise informs. Energy, not time, is the fundamental currency of high performance.
And later in the slides, you will see how trainers do appreciate this.
And I have a statement from Akshar Yadav, who's the number one marketing guru in India, and he has shared it in his testimony Daniel also, that energy changed the way he could work, right?
So please guys, you can write it down in your workbook.
Energy, not time, is the fundamental currency of high performance.
Time management is a currency of average people, right? So where do you grade yourself on energy?
I am opening this poll now. Please do it. What score between 0 to 9 you will rate your energy level at? If I rate my energy at 8. When do you feel most energetic, morning or night?
So I like seeing this poll. I'm going to end it.
47% participants have done this poll, and I'm happy nobody is between 0 to 2, because that's a problem area. Rest, everything can be improved.
And what is it that you have to improve to increase your energy levels?
Rest and stress, we've talked about it. Eat and digestion, we have talked about it. Move and sleep, we have talked about it, right? So these are the few things which you can do to increase your life energy. Work a job you love, find your passion and build on it. Your job should not feel like a job. It should be fun for you. You should miss even one day of not going to work. Eat mineral-rich organic fruits and vegetables. Connect with nature. Clear the mind with positive affirmations. Get rid of TV. Avoid junk food. Eat algae and herbs. Connect with your inner child. Make art and be Be creative.
Dance more.
Get rid of fear, worry, and learn to love. 99% of the times what you're worried about doesn't happen, and 1% if it happens, you can do nothing about it by worrying. Quit smoking and drinking alcohol. So 10 tips for you to increase your energy. And now, very important but last, block In the base to have good sleep, good energy, peak wellness is movement. Movement is very important, but what type of movement needs to be decided depending on what state you are in.
One thing which I have seen we are not doing enough is strength training.
And that is very, very, very important. So I would strongly request and Command that please include 10 minutes of strength training in your schedule and see how your brain health, your muscle health, your skin, your bone health, your sex organs, bone marrow, everything improves. So this is Gurud Sethi, founder Mind My Map—
Mind My Mind.
And she has to say wellness and curative medicine are very different approaches to a healthy life.
And this I learned from Dr.
Preeti as she helped me deal with stress-induced and lifestyle-related problems like hypertension, insulin resistance, adrenal fatigue. Thanks to our wellness program, I am of all medications and in fact have way higher energy levels throughout the day. And I can vouch for you, she was heading, you know, operations in very, very good hospitals when she had come to me and she was so irritated and said, I don't know why doctors don't do this type of medicine, right? But yes, now doctors are doing this type of medicine, but important is you to take control of your health.
So friends, what have we done?
We have covered certain things and certain we have not covered, which I'm going to talk now. So this is how the nutrition pyramid for my clients looks like. 3-hour eating window and 12-hour fasting minimum. Quality upgrades— upgrade one food item, as I told you today. Hydration, very important.
Quantity is not important, quality is important.
If you are having good Omega-3, even if it gives you more calories, just don't worry. You are safe, you are good, and you will be in peak wellness state. Add some superfoods which I've already shared with you, healthy fats like coconut, macadamia nut, and all, and achieve balance, energy, vitality, health, and peak wellness. Anybody who has any questions on on this pyramid, something which is not clear, please share in the chat box. Anybody?
I'll wait for a minute.
If I don't get a question, I will move on. Yes, both should be used actually. Flaxseeds have lot of other benefits. They are a good source of GLA, and using flaxseeds in a, in Indian cuisine is very, very easy. We get it at every kirana store and we can easily use it. 3-hour rule is don't keep munching the whole time. Give a gap, let your body digest the food. You know, I'll share with you, I used continuous blood glucose, this thing from Abbott, you know, last month and was wanting to see what is my sugar, what do— how do my food you know, digest in my body and what are my sugar levels.
You know, one observation which I had was it was so difficult for me to eat something and take a reading 2 hours after that. Because all throughout the day it never happened that I did not eat for 2 hours after that meal. I was shocked because I had not realized that that's my eating pattern.
I keep eating every time, you know, all the time. You must know EPA/DHA ratio kitna hai, right? And use the best quality omega-3 available. Available. Because if you don't use good quality, it will actually increase the inflammation. Great.
So now I'm moving forward.
What is the twist I want to add here so that you guys stay in peak wellness?
Are you ready for my twist in the pyramid? If you are, Give me a yes in the chat box. Give me a yes in the chat box. If you are ready— Oh, I like the energy. Very nice. So let's see the twist. And this is the twist. So as I told you, small steps.
Develop one habit and follow it for 2 to 3 weeks before you go on to another habit.
Yes, if you are in the pond and if you are wanting to come out of the pond, I might tell you to do more habits, right?
But that will be under my coaching, my guidance. But otherwise, take small steps, develop one habit at a time. Finding your why, it is very, very, very important. If you have a strong why, you will be successful. You must know what is your goal, What is your dream? What is your vision? And what is your want when it comes to health?
Any belief—
for example, Indians have this belief, if we will not have gluten chapati, we will fall sick, right?
Act on it.
Find data and change your belief, because otherwise your journey will keep stopping in between. Monitoring your progress, very, very, very important. And I've shared with you the list of tests which you must do to know your progress. And the questionnaire which we've just done now, you must keep repeating it every 6 months so that you know your progress. Journey begins. Have a strong intention and a clear intention.
So guys, this is something I want you to do.
Can you just open your, again, your workbook book and your paper, pen, and on that workbook write your intention to reach to peak wellness state. I intend to take small steps to reach to peak wellness state because I want to perform at peak performance.
And if If you do this pyramid with the twist, not only you will reach to peak wellness, but it will also help you work at peak performance.
Because this is going to change you as a person from inside.
You will love the change. So, you know, I want to share a story which is not of my patient, but this is my mentor's patient's story, but it really inspired me and it put this whole thing in picture.
So what happened was there was this guy, my teacher. So he does like lots of workshops, you know, like me. And he had gone on a workshop in a corporate and shared this pyramid, something similar to this, right? And 3, 4 years later, he was again going to the same place, and the owner of the company called him and said, one of my staff members, very special people wants to meet you for lunch when you are here.
So my teacher said, why?
What's so special? She said, she was 385 pounds and she had, she was on 30 medications and she had, you know, lot of problems and she wants to meet you. He got worried but he said, okay, fine, I will meet. When she went there, she saw, he saw a very small smart woman sitting there. She was 140 pounds now and she wanted to share every step she has taken step by step in the last 4 years to reach here. And you know what her why was? So they were very happily married and her husband had wanted to do biking for last many, many years, but because of her weight and her health issues, he never used to go because he said, I only will go with you because I love only when I do it with you. And she said, when I used to think that my husband will not be able to do if I don't make these small, small steps, I kept moving on. And now I am on no medication. We go twice a year for a biking I am enjoying my life so much that I personally wanted to meet you and thank you and tell you that you transformed my life, my husband's life, and many, many more lives.
So friends, what I'm trying to tell you is have a strong why. Even if it's for your work, not for your health, have a strong why. Why are you into practice? Have a very strong why. Why are you doing this business? Have a very strong why.
Because if you will have a strong why, no situation will be able to deter you from your path to success. If you think I'm right and you've got something new from this webinar, give me a yes in the chat box. Yes in the chat box.
Yes in the chat box.
Okay, great. So my question to all of you now is, are you living your best life? Yes or no? Remember, I'm asking, are you living your best life?
Yes or no? Does your health matter to you?
Yes or no?
Everybody, please, do you agree that God's will for all of us is abundance, happiness, joy, care, relationship, virtues? Yes or no?
Do you think God wants us all, His children, to smile?
Willpower.
Only with willpower are you able to make a change. I have a very intelligent audience. We have to form habits. You can't sprint your way to a marathon.
So willpower is not the way, right? Are you willing to get a little uncomfortable? Because for any successful journey We have to become a little uncomfortable, right? Already?
Okay.
Are you willing to take control of your health? Now this is a very important question.
Please think and reply. Are you willing to take control of your health?
If yes, my promise to you is, you know, peak wellness can be achieved in 20 minutes daily protocol. Will you want to listen to what this protocol is? If you say yes, I will talk about it, but if you say no, I will not talk about it.
So friends, before I talk about it, I want to share with you that, you know, we have choices in life, right? And you also have choice today. You have two choices. One is you walk your path alone and whatever I have taught you, from which whatever you've learnt new, incorporate that and move forward towards peak wellness. The second choice is that you have me by your side and achieve peak wellness.
So please give me 1 or 2. 1 is have me by your side to achieve peak wellness, and 2 is you will want to walk your path alone and reach peak wellness.
Yes guys, all those who are willing to take control of their own health. Very nice.
More answers please. Please, I have only got 6 answers. Please think, friends, but make one choice.
Because if you will not make a choice now, whatever you have heard today, it will be lost by the time you will get up tomorrow morning. You will not remember anything of what we shared today.
Nothing at all. So I really want you to think and reply so that we all achieve peak wellness. I tell, I can promise you, my state when you saw before and now, I love this There is so much more. And I think every few days I ask myself, why didn't I know all this when I was in my Phase 1? So please think, I have still not got all answers. We have 24 people here and I've got only 11 answers. So guys, please think this is important. 1 or 2? Take your time, I understand this is a difficult decision, this is an important decision.
Take your time and think.
1 or 2? So what am I offering if I will be on your side?

My work involves intense long hours of standing and speaking, due to which I had a lot of fatigue which was causing constant dip in my peak state. Dr. Preeti's correct diagnostic and precise guidance Brought my mental clarity and sharpness back. Thank you, Dr. Preeti. Thank you, Akshar, for trusting me.
Guys, if you are on the edge versus the rage— Sakshi, Sakshi, are you here?
Sakshi, if you are here, I'm allowing you to talk. I will invite Sakshi to share her health journey. Sakshi, you are muted.
Yes, ma'am, can you hear me?
Yes, good evening.
Good evening.
Yeah, so please share your health journey with all of All of us here.
Yes, definitely I'll do that. Actually, when I met ma'am, I was like, I was very less of energy. My sleep pattern was like haywire and I was a lot in suffering. So ma'am really helped me a lot in my sleep. I really improved my sleep with the diet, with the kind of advice ma'am gave it to me. Due to which my energy level really raised and I was able to do my work, my activities. So ma'am is truly a blessing. I, and I must say there was a clarity in my mind while working, so that was really important. And I'm looking forward to this lifestyle forever in my life and I will never look back. And I'm really grateful to ma'am. Thank you, ma'am.
Thank you, Sakshi. Thank you.
You're most welcome, Mom.
Thank you, beautiful. So let's see, I—
Deepika will join us also.
I think she's on her way, but till then, this is what she sent me. I met Dr. Preeti in 2020 when I was struggling with a lot of pains in my body, which doctors were claiming to be arthritis. I was pretty disturbed, as though I had turned 50. I was and am a very active person, and I felt I'm not able to keep pace. As I met her, she introduced me to cortisol, insulin resistance, other parameters which doctors don't talk about. With 6 months of consultation and hard work with alternate medicine, all my pains went away. My sugar levels are in control. Healthy habits are are there, and I feel a better person. I've been able to sustain— it's been a year now. And she's not just a doctor, she makes you a wholesome, healthy mind and body person. I don't have arthritis, by the way. Thank you, Dr. Preeti, creator Speak Up Lady program. Amazing lady, amazing lady.
So friends, when it comes to health William Butler Yeats.
I really like what he says because most of us do exactly the opposite. Don't wait to strike till the iron is hot, but make it hot by striking. With this Eat Right program, for 1 hour, 8 PM to 9 PM will be our class. 1 hour fixed classes in 14 days.
And with this, what all do you get free, guys? You get one free one-to-one consultation with me, which is priced at ₹5,000 normally. So that's what you get free. You get a free eat-ride guide. And you know what?
This Eat Right Guide is very simple. I know we are all business people and we can't do lot of cooking and can't be having, you know, this before lunch, this after lunch, all of that. So this program is going to just make you focus on the good foods and take your focus away from the foods you should not be eating.
And it has been Made and planned in such an interesting way that you will feel as if you are playing a game.
And your energy levels will be at skyrocket. So it's been designed for people, you know, like you, and that's the reason it's been made in this way. And then we will have an exercise challenge which you will get. You will participate in complimentary in this program. And last but not the least, I want to tell you here—
thank you, Dr. Pushpa, for registering. Welcome aboard. I want to tell you guys that you have 100% money-back guarantee.
You just need to pay ₹999 now, and by 30th of April, if you feel that you have made a wrong decision, or maybe you are not ready right now, maybe you are not willing to take care of your health in your own hands, or maybe there is something else which is more important than this which has come up, no questions asked. You just will have to call my office number and your money will be refunded within 1 hour of your call.
That's a promise I am making, friends. And it's not because it's easy for me.
It's because if there is a doubt in your mind which is making you think twice and not taking this action right now, I want to clear all those roadblocks because I don't know, guys who all know me before and who don't know me, I am very passionate about making India a healthy country. I was in corporate for about 20 years, and every time I used to go for conferences, one thing really irritated me, and that was Every time they used to say, among the top 3 in diabetes, India is there. Among the top 3 in cancer, India is there.
Among the top 3 in cardiac health, India is there.
And that was creating lots and lots of problems for me, right? And I always wanted that I want to to change the health scenario in India. And then as luck would have it, I became a diabetic and I had so many problems. And I was traveling to US when one of my doctor colleagues was at home. So I went and met her and asked her, why are you at home? Why are you not practicing?
You know what reply she gave me?
She said that I have allergy to the dye which we use in CTs and all, and therefore I can't practice radiology.
So I asked her, what are you doing? I said, I want to find out why I have these allergies, and for that I am studying functional medicine. So I know you all will agree that Whenever you, Mr.
Yoga Tevan, you just have to pay ₹999 on any of the payment options. You can scan Google Pay. I will go back on that screen and keep it on for you. You can just scan Can it?
Vivek, please help with the payment.
Yes.
So what happened? You know, you all would agree with me, you know, that whenever we want something with desperation, with the clean intent, that thing comes in front of us.
And that was the time when I was really wanting to be healthy, really wanting to change healthcare scenario in India, really wanting I was wanting to do something which could make— help me leave a legacy behind, right? And I studied functional medicine. I enrolled in the full fellowship program in one go, and I am so happy and fortunate that I've been able to help so many people transform their lives in a way that they are enjoying their lives now. And I wish the same for all of you. I believe India is a very, very, very dynamic country. I think if we start understanding this inflammation and taking care of this, all of us can do very well, and we definitely can become superpowers of the world. I am so, so, so happy, I can't tell you.
Hi Deepika, welcome and thanks for joining us. So friends, Deepika has joined and I would like to invite her to share her health journey with all of you.
Deepika, I'll just unmute you, just give me a minute.
Yeah.
Can you change your name, Deepika? You have joined with Vivek Nandwani and there are many Vivek Nandwanis here. Let me know if I have unmuted you.
Yeah, hi, can you hear me?
Yes, loud and clear, and welcome and thanks.
Lovely, thank you so much. Uh, I'm not sure if I can be seen because I can't see options if I can do something, but let me know if I have to switch on any camera or anything.
But that's okay, Preeti, your photograph is coming, but it was showing, but I don't have the option to show my camera face.
I think the options are with you basically.
Yes, and you are with Vivek Landwani name. Just give me a minute, Deepika, because I will really want—
my name is Deepika only.
No, here it's showing, um, just a minute, let me first rename you. Yeah, sure. Give me a minute. Yes. Now I know that. Okay, so I'm moving you to the panelist, and then I think we will be able to switch on your video. Yes, now I think you can switch on your video. I've asked you to start your video, Deepika.
Hi everyone, thank you for having me here, Preeti.
Thank you.
And, um, yeah, this is a wonderful moment for me to be here with Dr. Preeti and a lot of other colleagues, I think. So, Vivek, I don't know how my name has been coming with you.
Good to meet you here.
Um, tell me, Preeti, how do you want me to start?
Because I So Deepika, just share something about what you do first, right?
About yourself as a person and then about your health journey. How did we meet and how things happened?
Yeah, so hi everyone, my name is Deepika Chawla. I'm a chartered accountant by qualification and I have some, uh, 28 years of experience in the financial industry. I've been working with ICICI Bank, HDFC, and now with American Express. I'm a vice president with them. Very passionate about diversity and society, and I'm working on mentoring women and motivating and counseling a lot of people in the college who may want to grow. And family, I have been focusing on mentoring management women, and last year I started a program program also while I'm working with American Express. I have done modeling also, still modeling for diverse photographers, and I am on the advisory board of a couple of NGOs primarily dealing with digital education, following my passion of making sure that I'm able to create more leaders. Now you might be thinking, I'm on Preeti's show and why am I sharing all this? That's how I have been for years. And I am 53 years old. And my, you know, I've been somebody who's been very, very motivated, very energetic, always out there taking care.
I'm married for 30 years.
I have 3 children, 26-year-old boy, 22-year-old girl, and a beagle, 10 years old, called Nurse. So I've been like out there, you know.
Trying to do so much, very passionate, keeps me happy the way I am.
Um, bear with me, I just want to share a very small story about myself, and it has a lot of linkages. In 2019 September, I lost my mom, and it was, um, she was 75. Probably for some people would say like it's okay, but I lost my mom after my dad, after losing my dad after 5 years, and probably in my mind I didn't have an acceptance. In one week's time, typical Deepika Chawla joined the office, helped me do everything. And that year I also touched 50 years of age, in 2019. And that year I went to Banaras. In this— on December 4th, my anniversary, I stepped down from the aeroplane and my knees stopped moving. They just stopped moving. I cannot tell you how much it pained. And I always carry painkillers because we carry a bag or something, so we had medicines. For 5 days, I enjoyed myself with the people around me, having said that, I was dragging my legs. When I came back, I went to multiple hospitals, multiple doctors, first my local doctor, orthopedic doctor, I can name everything you want to know for real. And everybody told me, you've turned 50, you get arthritis. And there were extreme body pains in my body. And, um, I was going through a lot of depression. Lost my mom.
I can't move.
I am so active.
What will happen to my family?
What will happen to my house? What will happen to my job?
The job's pretty demanding.
I work 12 hours, and that time we were going to office. I was not even sitting at home, and I was going crazy. So I started something called pain management, if you know. They do with lots of heat bags and use these oils to release the pain in your body. And most of the hospitals have this pain management. It's called needle therapy also to some places.
I was doing everything.
I should not say luckily, but there's a silver lining. Pandemic occurred in 2020, March. I stopped going to the hospital. Now, Preeti was somebody my husband was meeting during the coaching and everything.
And at that time, my husband told me, why don't you chat with her?
And my typical corporate mindset, I said, I don't have the time, I can't do this, I will manage whatever will happen. But trust me, so much pain that I can't tell you. I was living every day. I stopped my work, I stopped my yoga.
I couldn't move.
Anyway, one bad day, he dragged me to her and he said, half an hour, just meet her. And I met her and she said very comfortably, don't worry, you don't have the time. We will talk when you have the time, your convenience. We would talk on the phone, on Zoom. So I landed at Goa, and then she told me words in my life which I have not been exposed to before, and that word was cortisol, genetic, being done. Assaults were going here by—
on top of that—
Slightly better. I don't know, you're going to tell me.
I'll join from the phone.
Okay, so stop if you can't, because I can hear. I may sound stupid, but I thought I was the superwoman and I can do everything without anything. And she knew my— started on supplements. I understood my cortisol was high, my sugar was high, my vitamin, um, or my other salts were high. And slowly and slowly started realizing I need help.
Time to realize that I started working You are frozen, Abhinandipika. Just wait, I think she is just setting up her internet.
Maybe let me join from the phone. Is it okay?
Yeah, we're waiting.
Tell me, just now I can continue while it's getting joined?
Just give me— yeah, here.
Now we can hear you, but in between, I don't know, the signal goes off.
Is this better, Preeti?
Yes.
Okay, so that's when I met— you know, I started really focusing on myself. I haven't lost a lot of weight, but I can run my marathons again. There is a huge swelling in my body which has gone away. My wings feel better, my hands feel better. I am very energetic. I can really do multiple stuff at the same speed. Um, touch wood, in last— since 2020, and I am sitting in 2022, prior to that, and Preeti has worked on my gut also. I used to be visiting hospital once in 2 months for getting admitted for my acidity or stomach issues. For— and touch wood— for 2 years I haven't seen doctor's face. I don't have stomachaches, or I'm not scared. She's instigated very good eating habits. I have changed my basic only basic. It's not that you can't eat anything. I eat everything. And I can't tell you, for last 6 to 8 months, because of whatever reasons, I've not been able to go back to her. But I call her up once a month and tell her I'm going to come back in this month because I know my body needs the supplements. I finished off with her supplements completely. I kept eating. Just to tell you It's not— health is not about age. So it's not that I'm 50 years old, so I wanted to go to her. My daughter is 22 and she's getting counseled by Preeti, uh, because she has PCOD, and Preeti is working on that for her. Um, I have seen her energy levels because she's a dancer, she's a theater artist. And she has to do a lot, a crazy lot on her body, which I cannot even imagine. Triple the time probably what I do. And Preeti is being able to get that back for her. I think the pandemic created a lot of issues for her in the last one year when she has to study from the house and all that. But all I'm trying to say is One, health is not about age, okay? Two, till you don't take a plunge to understand what it is, you will never get it. It's totally your body experience. Everybody's body is different. My husband loses weight like, like anything under the sun with Preeti. I'm not able to. But trust me, for me, weight is something I've stopped thinking about since I met Preeti. I only think about my health because that's what she gave me back. And I don't know a single day— and you might think I'm so boring that I keep telling you stories, but Mentalis. After that, I go for a walk for 45 minutes, imagine the energy, and then I work for 12 hours. It only has become because my body has become habituated to good things, and good things need to be trained, to be told to you. So today, a yoga teacher is telling me all that, so I'm following that. That way, all the things about health— what to eat, what not to eat, What will impact my gut? Why my gut is important? Even that education. If I would read anything on Google, I used to go back to Preeti, and she had the patience to listen to me. If I was following somebody, I will go back to her. If I had to change my— even running, I was scared to run, and he said, slowly we will get you back to running. And I can run now. I don't out of choice, just now. But if tomorrow morning you tell me, I will start running. I will start running. I can do it. That's the kind of body health which I have got back, and that's the kind of confidence which I have got back. And I needed it because that's what I— I do a corporate job and I need energy because that's what I infuse in the large team which works for me. If I can't infuse the energy, I will be spoiling a lot of people's lives. I feel accountable. And thank you, Preeti.
Thank you, Deepika. Yeah, any questions?
Anybody else? I'm happy to answer because you might be in a similar or a different state, but if my experience can help anybody, I'm happy to answer.
If you have any questions, you can, uh, you know, write in the chat box and I can unmute you. Anybody? And Deepika, how is the renovation work going?
It is going well. Um, I, it's crazy because And you being a perfectionist, I know.
But then I'm looking forward to seeing the house because I know it's going to come out very, very nice.
No, thank you, Preeti. But again, I go back, the kind of energy I need, that comes from the fact of what— man, I'll show you. Sorry guys, if you feel— yes, sir, many new purchases. See, I don't know if my video can be seen. Yes, yes, yes. It felt that I've grown old, but to keep my supplements I wanted increase.
I feel confident eating these supplements, you know.
Thank you, Deepika.
Thank you. I think this is a big Q&A. Clients come and say supplements. If the reports are not like that, see, if reports are fine, supplements are not needed. But if supplements are needed, then they are needed, right?
