STILL STRUGGLING WITH Hypothyroidism Symptoms? | Dr. Priti Nanda Sibal

In this interactive webinar Dr. Priti Nanda Sibal (also known as Dr. Preeti) presents a functional‑medicine perspective on thyroid health, positioning the thyroid as the "CEO" that governs metabolism, energy, mood, heart, muscle, immunity and overall longevity. She engages a small audience of clinicians and patients with live polls (light‑bulb moments, FLB), personal anecdotes, and case examples. The talk covers the prevalence of autoimmune thyroid disease post‑COVID, the clinical spectrum of hypothyroidism/Hashimoto’s, and the importance of early detection using free T3, free T4 and TSH rather than total hormone assays. Dr. Sibal links a wide range of symptoms—weight gain, cold intolerance, hair loss, constipation, carpal tunnel, tinnitus, menorrhagia, ascites, muscle loss, brain fog, mood swings—to suboptimal thyroid function. She stresses that thyroid optimization is a low‑hanging fruit for improving health and longevity, and that functional‑medicine protocols (iodine, vitamin D, gut health, adrenal balance) can reduce antibodies and restore function. The session also highlights her diagnostic intuition (quick visual assessment), the role of executive coaching in patient empowerment, and her commitment to monthly follow‑up webinars. Practical take‑aways include lab ordering guidance, symptom‑based decision making, and the need to treat both thyroid hormone deficiency and the autoimmune attack. The webinar ends with a Q&A, encouragement to share the recording, and an invitation to her Gurugram clinic.
Chapters
Okay, I was muted. Hello everybody! Hi Samia, so nice to see you! Hello Madhu! Hi Bridge! Hi Angelina! Dr. Vishnu, thank you for being here! Thank you. Okay, so, um, till few others join— of course we did not give too much marketing time, but I wanted to share with all of you that I, I think now want to share my knowledge with people in the way I receive knowledge, right? Not in the way my courses have taught me. So in other ways, if I tell you, this is not a selling webinar. I am not going to give you any offer in the end, no offer at all. I am going to share few things about thyroid which when I realized as the doctor, I had goosebumps. So how many of you here are ready to have goosebumps? In the chat box. Okay, nice break. So please let me know whenever you have a goosebump, write FLB, so light bulb movement, in the chat box. Right, Madhu? Yeah. Okay. Yes. So because that's the aim. Because whenever you will have those light bulb moments, that will stick in your minds, and then you will help me stick that in your patients' minds, and, you know, in your, in your own mind, in your family and friends' mind. Because I feel that there is a lot about health we don't know, and there is a lot about health we should know, we must know. And I think we have reached a time where it is a very, very critical juncture. Either we can start being healthy again, or we will go falling deeper in the pitfall which we have already gone into. How many of you know of people around you who do not feel extremely energetic, extremely happy, and, you know, full of fun and life and happiness? Do you know somebody like this in your family? If yes, send me, share, you know. Yes, think of how many people you know like this and tell me the number of people around you. And if you are one of them, right, count yourself in. But imagine when we were young, I was telling somebody a very, uh, you know, story which I had also forgotten. And I was talking to Dr. Ritisha yesterday and I told her that I want to do two things now. You know, patients will come on their own, they will get okay. Enough experience I have now that all that is a cakewalk, right? So now I want to do the next journey. So she asked me what, and I said I want to share my life little turning points which made me what I am today. And I'm sure all of you who are here Uh, you are here because you love me, respect me, and have a little space in your heart for me, right? And all those lessons because of which that space has been created is what I want to share. And that's how I thought, let me start this. And I was sharing this story— just give me a minute. So, you know, I was in third year. Please switch on your videos if you can. As it is, we are not too many, and, uh, right, I like seeing faces. So I was in third year medical college when first time I had fever. Before that, I always used to have accidents and be bedridden or go to hospitals, but not too much of fever and all. And I was pretty energetic and pangali nevali, masti, bilkul. And I didn't realize I had fever till my mom came, touched me, and said, you are so hot, you have fever. You know, I was feeling tired, wanted to get up, but I was not able to. So that is what I say that is health. You know, till third year medical college, other than accidents, had nothing to worry about when it came to my health. How many such people you know? And how many number of people you know that, you know, they have to step up their health score by at least 1 point? Just count and share the number. So not many. I want the numbers, please. Just the numbers. So whatever I will tell you today, I know at least these people you can share the recording with, recording with them, and you never know, they might get motivated and inspired to take their health journey one level up, right? Perfect. So today's topic is thyroid. Because when I thought I want to share my knowledge, the first topic I thought was brain, because I thought I will go top to bottom, right? But then I thought brain will become very intense. Let me start from the hierarchy system of companies or professional life, because we connect with those more. So I am leaving board of directors aside. This is the board of directors for me. And today I'm going to talk about this thyroid little gland, which I know is the CEO of our body. So how many of you actually think of thyroid as the CEO and know that thyroid is the CEO of your body? Please give me a thumbs up in the chat box. So anybody who knows thyroid is the CEO of our body, please list in the chat box why is it the CEO of the body. The beauty of having less people in the webinar is, you know, we can have it interactive. It is controlling me top to bottom. So Angeline, can you define it a little more in detail? When you say top to bottom, what is it? Madhuji, you also said you know. So can you define it? Why is thyroid the CEO? Simran, Neeraj, Ritesh, please participate. Skin and moods, bowel habits. Sangeeta, why is it the CEO? Yes is not going to help in bridge. Where are you? And don't use ChatGPT, don't use Google, just be with me and your videos on, please. It controls metabolism. Yes, right. Okay, so that's going to be the first FLB. Even if you know that thyroid is the CEO, I don't think we know till now why it is the CEO. So what I'm going to talk today is not Hashimoto's, but Hashimoto's and functional medicine. And I feel if we can treat our thyroid or Hashimoto's well, it is the way to achieve longevity. How many of you want to stay healthy till the time they are alive, right? So how do you define longevity? Can anybody define longevity for me in the chat box? Live till you die. Okay, live life full till you die. Good, long, healthy life. Disease-free life. Yes. So longevity to me is not the number of years, but life in those years is longevity to me. And I think everybody here is aligned on that. Thank you very much. So Hello friends, I know everybody who is here, even if who is my patient, is my friend today. And this is a learning exercise, and I want all of you to thank yourself and pat your back for being here. So can you all thank yourself and pat your back? Because I know taking out time on Sunday is also not easy. Especially taking out time for to learn something about your health is extremely difficult, right? So all of you pat your back, and if you've patted your back, give me in the chat box, feeling great, feeling great. Thank yourself, pat your back, feeling great. Very good. I know you are awake, you're not sleeping. Very nice. So for those who don't know me, you know, 30+ years of experience. I'm a motivational speaker. A lot of people have told me that I have changed something in their life, and I think that that one statement makes me so grateful and grounded, and, uh, that's become my purpose now. And from Amritsar Medical College, I am Lucknow American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, US, and certified executive coach from Center of Executive Coaching, Florida, the president of Indian Association of Functional Medicine, and the director of Autoimmunity Care and Peak Wellness FM Clinic. I've written 4 books, and I would strongly recommend that you should reach out to my office and order those books. You know, writing books is not easy. It's a lot of effort, but I wrote because I wanted that whatever I know, people should know. So contact my office, order them, read them, share your review, share, gift them, do whatever, and let's spread health around. So why is the thyroid CEO of our body? Strategic decision maker. Is our thyroid. Your mental clarity, focus, and emotional balance is thyroid. So when I say, how many of you think if you make your decisions right, your success automatically happens? So if your strategic decision is right, then if you work hard, you become successful, right? But if you keep working hard without the right decision Simple example, I was telling somebody yesterday that there are two options every patient has. One option is try to find the right doctor and not start the treatment till they have found their right doctor, or keep going to doctors again and again and again and either get better or get worse. Because every time a doctor touches your health Either you will improve or you will even go deeper in the shit. Treating you will become more difficult with every wrong step which has been taken while managing your health, right? So strategic decision maker is the thyroid. Energy regulator— your metabolic rate, your body temperature, your energy levels. Everything is regulated by thyroid. You know, anybody who comes to me and when I shake hands and I see the hands are cold, I know that the thyroid is not working optimally. It is suboptimal hypothyroidism or hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's, but thyroid is not optimum. So the body is not making right decisions, body is not having good metabolic rate, good energy levels, everything can be improved. Thyroid is the team leader. Why? Because it affects your heart health, right? We are so worried about people who, you know, are giving away to heart health right now, and, you know, a lot of them we are not even able to save. But we never talk about thyroid health with heart health. But thyroid is very, very, very important for heart health. Muscle health— you know that at least I and lot of doctors like myself has started talking about muscle health as the new important parameter of longevity. Yes, how many of you know that the way we started talking about visceral fat, vitamin D, 25-30 years back Now for longevity, the new organ which is at the center of the attention is muscle health. How many of you know in the chat box, please? And if you don't, didn't give, say FLB. Anything here which you were not aware of, or you were told some time but you had forgotten, don't forget to write FLB in the chat box. At the end of this webinar, I am going to count all the FLBs. Right, light bulb movements. So SLB. I, being a doctor also, I had forgotten that, you know, muscle health is related to thyroid. The first thing I need to do is optimize my thyroid, right? And then crisis manager. It influences immunity. Thyroid influences inflammatory response. Anybody here who knows functional medicine— somebody has written the red mark, can somebody remove it? Anybody who knows functional medicine would know that, um, all chronic diseases is what we call— they are inflammatory disorders, and thyroid plays a huge, huge, huge role in that. And of course, we know immune system— thyroid has a big role in managing your immune system or optimizing your immune system, right? So after looking at this, do you think you love your thyroid a little more? How many of you think you love your thyroid a little more? At least one thing from this slide you have come to know which you were not aware of, that is also happening because of the thyroid. Perfect. So anybody who wants to take a picture of this, please feel free to take it. And share the picture in the group. People who've not been able to join, they should also know that your heart health, your metabolic rate, your temperature, your energy, your immunity, your inflammation, your emotional balance, your mental clarity, your focus— everything, everything depends on your, your thyroid. So what do we say when we have to set up those tents? You know, when we go for tenting and campaign, I always feel if you can just find the right center point and hold it up, everything else falls in place. How many of you feel that, that that's the right way to do it? Same for health. Find the lowest hanging fruit, settle it, lot of other things will automatically get settled. Yes, so thyroid, I feel, can be the lowest hanging fruit, keeping in mind how much it affects. Now, this is what I think of a subclinical hypothyroid or a Hashimoto's thyroid patient. Hypothyroid patients gain fat and water. If you have done your BCA, body composition analysis, if you see that your fat is more and muscle is less The first organ you need to optimize is what? And guys, if you will not answer, I will not continue. This is pure education, nothing for me in it, just the satisfaction that whatever I've learned after so much of hard work, I am able to show you my side, how I look at things. So answering is extremely important for me. Yes, more fat, any water retention, any puffy eyes, anything when you get up in the morning, some water here, some water retention in your feet, some bloating in your abdomen, right? Not a toned and lean body. How many of you think that you are one of these? If this is the only criteria of having subclinical hypothyroid, which means more fat some water retention, maybe a bloated stomach, and less toned and lean body is optimal hypothyroidism, then how many of you think you could be having suboptimal thyroid? Great. So the first assignment for all of you is Check your BCA and find. Being thin does not mean that you have a lean body, right? Madhuji, please do your BCA and find if your fat is about 23% and your muscle mass is about 30. If that's not the case, something can be improved further. Right, so all these other symptoms you will see in a thyroid patient. Poor memory, poor concentration, poor hearing can also be related to Hashimoto's. You know, till COVID, I did not know that pure poor hearing, tinnitus, could be related with Hashimoto's. It's only when I had Hashimoto's 3 years back and I worked on it and I went into deeper and deeper and deeper into this, I realized that poor hearing, tinnitus, all could be because of thyroid. Hoarseness of voice. If you have a patient— I had a patient recently who had been admitted to ICU 2-3 times, who had fainted, and the doctor did not know why. Very, very amazing, healthy guy. Otherwise you would look at him and say Nothing is a problem. Nobody did TPO antibodies and TB antibodies, but when he came to me, he had hoarseness of voice, and I immediately told him, get the full thyroid panel. He had Hashimoto's. We are working on his Hashimoto's, and I told him, I don't even have to do your antibodies till your hoarseness goes away, because hoarseness of voice A lot of cases it will be because of thyroid. Heart, slow pulse rate, delayed reflex relaxation, or even delayed recovery after gymming. How many of people, how many of you, when you go to gym or exercise, your aches and pains take a longer time to go away? Coldness. In IT, it is very, very common to have people who come with carpal tunnel syndrome. Did you know thyroid could be a reason behind that, right? So anybody who comes to you with carpal tunnel syndrome, whatever else you do, please check the thyroid. Fatigue, feeling cold, weight gain, poor appetite. Lot of people will come to you and say thyroid is suboptimal. And guys, don't think I will finish all of it today. We will close at sharp 1, but this series will continue. Once a month I will come to you with something and we will continue with whatever we have discussed today, right? So you will not miss on anything, you will learn. But whatever I'm sharing, just be focused and just keep writing FLB, FLB, FLB. Anything on which you will write FLB, that will stay with you and improve your practice. Hair loss— the biggest problem for which people can do anything is hair loss. Thyroid is a big, big, big, big, big reason for this. Even people who lose hair in patches, which we call alopecia, Remember, 90% of those cases have Hashimoto's thyroid. How many? 90% of those cases have Hashimoto's thyroid. Shortness of breath can be because of suboptimal thyroid, and then it will lead to heart symptoms, and then you know what will happen, right? Skin, paresthesias, mixed edema, swelling, constipation. Big reason behind chronic constipation is hypothyroidism. Guys, don't ignore constipation. Top among 5, top 5 cancers is colon cancer. It happens in young people from 35 to 50. It is not an easy diagnosis to handle, and the number of years after that you have to be in regular monitoring. The easiest way to not have that is take care of your constipation ASAP, right? Ascites, which is water accumulation in the liver— in the chest. Reproductive system, menorrhagia, heavy blood flow is, um, a big thing. Right, heavy blood flow is a very, very common problem today, and people think it's about sex hormone imbalance. How many of you think heavy bleeding is because of sex hormone imbalance? Most, at least most of the gynecs also would think that. But thyroid is very, very important in that. And how many of you have known people who had ascites and, you know, the fluid had to be removed from the abdomen near the liver area or from the liver because otherwise the body— people were not able to breathe properly? Great, Angelina. Heavy bleeding is thyroid. And that is the reason optimizing thyroid, optimizing progesterone-estrogen ratio, optimizing iodine, optimizing vitamin D play a huge role— huge, huge, huge, huge, huge role in, you know, managing fibroids in women. Okay, great. Any questions till now? I will want to go slow because I really want this to go into your heads. Any questions, keep writing in the chat box, I will answer. So thyroid, you know, can have different diseases. This is a healthy thyroid, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, Graves' disease, epidemic goiter, autoimmune thyroiditis, thyroid cancer, thyroid adenoma. Hypothyroid again can be because of subclinical or normal hypothyroidism. And autoimmune thyroiditis is also called as Hashimoto's. Now, I was shocked, and if you are too, give me FLB in the chat box. We keep talking about cancer as the biggest problem, but post-COVID, this is the data. If 9 million people are diagnosed with cancer, 22 million with heart problem, on which we spend so much. Anybody who has chest pain runs to the hospital without even thinking once. Look at the incidence of autoimmune conditions, and hypothyroid was the second most common autoimmune still long after rheumatoid arthritis. But in the last few years post-COVID, it has become the most common autoimmune condition, leaving rheumatoid arthritis behind it, right? And if Hashimoto's happens, mental health, everything goes for a toss, right? So this is so sad. And can we ignore autoimmunity? Anybody here Can you just ignore autoimmunity and live with the antibodies for life? Everybody, we have 29 people here, one is me. I need 28 answers because if we can ignore it, then my presentation from the next slide has no meaning. But if we cannot, then those facts will become very, very, very powerful. Anybody who can tell me why no, why can't, and why should not we ignore autoimmunity? Why it should be taken more seriously even than cancer and heart disease? It affects every aspect of life. Poor quality of life. Yes, Nidhi. One autoimmune condition leads to another, and we have 120+ autoimmune diseases. Affects one's daily quality of life. It triggers other diseases like cancer. Autoimmune patients are more prone to diseases like cancer and heart health issues and other things. So basically, autoimmune condition is your body's way of telling you there is fire in the body. If you don't subdue it ASAP Be ready, the whole house will be turned into ashes, right? How many of you actually knew this, related with this, or something more deeper has opened up for you? In the chat box, guys, because when you go to an allopathy doctor, first, doctor will not check your antibodies. Second, even if you check your antibodies and go to them, they will say nothing is to be done with them, just have Thyronorm. How many of you have experienced this? If yes, please share your story in the chat box. Guys, let's share. If we don't share, it won't become powerful to have an impact. Ah. So Angelina, I am so happy to hear what your doctor said because she was honest and she said the right thing. She said she will treat your thyroid, she will not treat the attack, because for treating the attack you have to find another functional medicine doctor. So please name this doctor's name and we all should thank her. Because she guided you right and you find the right doctor. Angeline, I think if this is what doctors can do— great, Dr. Anuka— if this is what doctors can do, I think I will be extremely grateful to all of them. I don't expect that when they are treating your thyroid, they should treat the attack also. The only expectation is that rather than telling the patient don't do anything about it, they should tell the patient treat the attack, find it for yourself how you want to treat it, right? So beautiful, Angelina, for bringing this differentiation between hypothyroid and Hashimoto's. Hypothyroid is just your thyroid needing attention. Hashimoto's is your thyroid plus your immune attack needing attention. 2 separate things, right? So one is you need a dress, second is you need jewelry to, you know, enhance the beauty of the dress on your wedding day. Yes or no? How many of you can relate to it? And it's been 30 minutes, so before I move forward On a scale of 0 to 10, how would you rate the sharing, whatever we are having? On a scale of 0 to 10, in terms of energy, in terms of knowledge, in terms of simple things being brought in front. Thank you very much. And I will ask this again and again because Now I've decided I'm going to give it my way, right? My way or my way, which is the best way, and I am ready to learn for that. Great. So now this is a case. A 30-year-old female came to me with complaints of heavy menstruation, difficulty losing weight, hair loss, and cold intolerance. When the husband used to switch on the AC at night, she had to go to the other room. Or she had to take a winter quilt even in summers, or whole night they were switching on or switching off the AC. Can you remember? Is anybody here like this? I immediately told her to get her thyroid profile. I will share that with you too, but I told her to do free T3, free T4, and TSH. Great, Angeline and Sangeeta. So one of you at least have to set your thyroid right. It is just not right. So anybody here who will want to tell me why free T3, free T4, TSH, and not total T3, total T4? Active thyroid function needed. Okay, anybody else? We have lot of health coaches also here. Dr. Ritisha, Bridge, Dr. Simran, how many times I've told you I don't want total T3, total T4? Please write here and tell everybody why. Yes, Nidhi, we have thyroid receptors throughout the body. That's the reason thyroid is the CEO, but that is not the reason why we do free T3, free T4, and not total T3, total T4. But why bridge, Dr. Itisha? Why free T3, free T4? A little more. They are bound with proteins. Yes, Sarnit, very good. And when something is bound, if I am doing a handshake with somebody, can I switch on the light switch without taking my hand off? Anybody here, can I do that? Can I do that? No, ma'am. No, ma'am. Yes. So they are bound, but nobody has given me a satisfactory answer. And Dr. Ritisha, Madhu, Bridge, and Dr. Simran, I'm very unhappy with all four of you. You've done all your courses, you've studied it, and this is the basic, basic, basic thing about thyroid. Okay, so I'll tell you, but next time you should know. Why do I don't want total T3, total T4, and I want free T3, free T4? Because I have to find out these 4 things. I want to know how much hormone the body is producing. First step. Second, I want to know how much hormone is active, inactive form, so that they will help my body function better. So I have a CEO in the company, but my CEO never opens the mails, never comes to the office. Will that CEO be able to do anything? No. Yes or no? So I want to know whether if I've hired a CEO, CEO is coming to the office, CEO is analyzing the reports, CEO knows where the business goes. Yes or no? Right. So I want to know whether the hormones are activated. Third, I want to know, is my body able to utilize hormones? And fourth is, I want to know whether there is autoimmune involvement. And I can know that only when I know free T3, free T4. There is a very simple another example which I use when I talk to my young patients, 4 years to 14 years old. So I'm sharing that with you also here because I'm realizing that I think what should have been taught there was not taught to anybody of us. Total T3, total T4 is like money in a fixed deposit, or I would say money in an LIC policy which will take few days for you to get it back. But free T3, free T4 is cash on hand or Google Pay or your card. So how many of you travel with your GPay activated, with your card, with cash in hand? And how many of you travel knowing that I have money in my insurance policy? So if you travel with cash in hand or GPay or card, give me 1 in the chat box. And if you travel knowing that you have money in the insurance policy, give me 2 in the chat box. I am looking for somebody with 2 as an answer because lot of you do total T3 and total T4 every time. And when I tell you, you say we had told the lab, they only did total T3, total T4. So only 3 people have given me 1, which means rest all are 2. Can I assume that other than Nidhi, Arneet, Madhu, and Bridge, everybody else is 2? Ritesha, good, thank you. For being one. Otherwise I would have gone fainted because of shock. Nidhi, one. Others? Dr. Simran, you are two. So guys, this is— this, if you remember, you will never do total T3, total T4. Now, what will change the binding proteins and change your total T3, total T4, free T3, free T4 level? Estrogen levels, pregnancy, birth control pills, liver function, inflammation in the body. Total T3, total T4 is all right. Free T3, free T4 are low or high? Check these 3 basic things because then there is some problem right now. In these basic things, because of inflammation, you can have autoimmunity. Right, so this is how you will know how much to dig deeper, right? Because if you do unnecessarily test, no point. But if you don't do the test and miss the diagnosis, again, that is criminal as for me. So now autoimmune thyroid, which we call Hashimoto's. There are certain important things which you should know so that you are able to immediately know whether this is Hashimoto's or not and whether you should check the antibodies or not. Remember, antibodies are costly. For every patient, if we do it, then we are not using our medical skills or diagnostic skills properly. 60-70% would have Hashimoto's, but what about rest 30-40% where there was no need for antibodies but you got it done? So if the patient is fatigued, if the patient reports to you that TSH keeps fluctuating, if the patient tells you history of palpitations hair thinning, weight gain which he's not able to control, fogging— brain fogging means autoimmunity. No other chance. Even if no antibodies has come, I will still treat that patient as Hashimoto's. Mood swings, then enlargement of tongue. Even in online consultations, you can watch everybody's tongue. You know, I was very surprised 2 years back, I had 3, 4 patients sent to me by a same doctor, and one of the patients told me, the doctor has told us that this doctor is different. Anybody here who can tell me what would people say? Why is Dr. Preeti different? Anybody who knows me, why is Dr. Preeti different? In the chat box. What would have this doctor told the patients that they actually flew and came to visit me? One thing I'll say, you're more animated than other doctors, so it's good to watch you talk with so much energy. Thank you. I think, you know, I've always been taught positivity attracts positivity. Yeah, energy attracts energy. And I was told that the patient is healed the moment the patient sees a smiling doctor, right? But thank you for telling that. Thanks, Anit. You know what that patient doctor told the patient? This doctor is one of the very few doctors who would look at your nails, look at your face, look at your hump behind the neck, look at your tongue, right? Look at your expressions, look at your posture, look at your smile, and give you the diagnosis even before testing it. And then we'll do the right test just to confirm that a diagnosis is right. Okay? And I did not know that I work like this. So interestingly, you know, uh, one of my senior residents when I was doing my JR 30 years back— 31 years back now— told me that, Preeti, if you want to be a good doctor, remember, in first 30 seconds or 1 minute, by the time the patient comes and sits in front of you, you should have made the diagnosis. and then your history should be to confirm that diagnosis, right? But then, you know, that time you are young, uh, you don't want to go into this depth, uh, and I forgot it honestly. But then the time passed from 1994 to 2008 when I did my MBA, and then in my MBA, my management, um, you know customer relationship professor said one thing. She said, have you observed that when you are wanting to make a team or finding a partner for your new startup, in first 30 seconds to 1 minute you get some feeling from inside that this is the right candidate? But then the remaining 29 minutes and 30 seconds of your interview are to make sure that your first instinct was right. The moment the doc— you know, my teacher said this in my MBA class, I remembered my SR. So life comes circle, I remembered my SR, and, um, since then I started building this skill because I started doing it for hiring, for everything. And then when I came into functional medicine, I realized this is so cool. I can look at the patient and say, PCOD, Hashimoto's, estrogen imbalance, digestion, relationship seek. So much of information you can just tell between the time the patient opens the door and walks in. How many of you can relate to this, and how many of you actually Do this in your personal lives, you know, when you are hiring a maid in the house, when you are making friends, when you are running a business, or when you are teaching your patients. Thank you, Angeline. Anybody here who can relate to this? Even without knowing, you know now that you do this intuitively. I think a lot of you would not do— would not know this. You won't know this, but you would be doing this. Now when you will look back after this webinar, you will say, God, Dr. Preeti was so right. I do this in my normal day-to-day life. Maybe I don't do it for my patients right now, like I was not doing it for many years, right? But I was doing it for— yes, Fit Friends. That's the first place, Arneet. You know, when I was doing my executive coaching and, uh, I— there was an exercise, there was an exercise. So yes, we do it unaware, but now when you will do it in awareness, you will see that your depth will go so high that you will be amazed. Because when you— your You know, I see what your mind knows. Now when you will do it in awareness, right? So I will tell you this exercise, and I know we will learn very little today, but this is important. This exercise was— he told me, write down your traits. I said, why? I don't want to look inside myself. I don't want to find out one bad thing about Preeti and then keep cribbing about it because I am very, very critical when it comes to my own self. I cannot sleep at night if I've, if I've not, you know, worked as per my benchmark, right? So no, no, no, no, no, it's going to be a big learning. This is the first step. I can't move forward till you do it. This has to be done. Okay, give me a pen and paper. And I started writing. And you know the next thing what he said? He said, now write 5 of your good patients who love you and do everything what you tell them to do. They never talk to you about money. They trust you more than what you yourself trust yourself or your family members do. And you know what was the shocking truth which came forward? All those people had the same basic values as I had. Because functional medicine is not about giving one prescription which I can give to everybody, right? Executive coaching is not about one question which I can answer for the person and just send the person away, right? I have to dig deep. If I work on belief system for somebody, I have to go to their family minutest details. To their childhood to even know where to start. And once I know that, then it is just like opening a bottle. You open a bottle and a new you is created, right? But it is shocking if you want to know yourself, and if you want to know who should be your friends who will keep your energy high, if you want to know, you know, who should be your patients whom you want to work with, if you want to know who should be the people you should have in your team, in your office. I would strongly recommend do this exercise. You will be shocked, you will be surprised, you will be amazed. Okay, but, um, I don't know why I shared this today. I've never done this before with anybody from functional medicine side. This is for executive coaching, but I'm sure it will benefit. And we have 10 more minutes, so maybe we will have to continue a lot of this session next month. Keep waiting, but this is my slide which took me on a somersault. So are you guys ready? And what is it that you think this slide is showing? Everybody take 5 months, focus on the slide, and explain it to me in the chat box. What is this Harrower's chart by Henry Harrower? A doctor is wanting to tell you. It explains the relationship between the organs, that if one is affected, then it will automatically affect the other one as well. and then the third one related to it. Thyroid is in the center, and look at it, it is your pancreas. So when was this chart made? Which year? Many, many years back. Oh, why isn't it commonly available? This chart is there in the medical books. Is it? Oh, I'm looking at it first time. Ah, so please give me an FLB in the chat box, please, because you know, when I made this presentation, I made it with a very, very different mindset this time, and I realized it, it came out different. Things came in front of me. I never saw this chart. It is in a medical book, and while making this presentation, this popped up. Your medulla, your hypothalamus, your pituitary, your pineal gland, which is the fifth sense gland. You know, anybody who is into spiritualism know pineal gland, what is the importance. Your corpus luteum, your gonads, follicles, placenta, mammary glands, parathyroid, which means your whole of immune system. Your thymus, your liver, your adrenals, your cortex, your medulla. I am sure this guy has missed certain things here, but isn't it mind-boggling? And if it is, yes, please give me an FLB in the chat box, guys. Please, I think this chart deserves an FLB from all of you. So if your thyroid is not settled, you cannot expect that all your other organs are working properly or you are not aging fast. The thyroid is the CEO for a reason. Right, and I always tell people, start with the low-hanging fruits. So do you think managing thyroid is a low-hanging fruit for us? Right, so because the time is up, next time I will start from root causes of Hashimoto's. You will be surprised to see what all I'm going to share with you. I know this is going to take a little time, but don't worry. All this learning is coming from the fact that in the last 3 years— I don't have data before that— I have worked with 112 Hashimoto's cases wherein I've done detailed work. These 112 Hashimoto's patients are patients who came to me one-to-one, worked with me for 6 months to 9 months and showed me miracles happening in their lives, from them conceiving to them getting off suicidal tendencies, to them losing weight, to becoming lean, to becoming smarter, to getting promotions and making me proud, and to quitting that antidepressants and anti-anxiety pills and so much more. So I will share all of this with you. Of course, our clinic is in Gurugram. This is the picture of our clinic. It's in Sector 55, Main Road, Golf Course Road. And I have almost, almost all therapies which you can think of in functional medicine, because the aim is very simple. As allopathy medicine is very, very important, functional medicine is equally important. Why I'm passionate about FM is because FM gives me the ability to make every patient of mine the CEO of their own health. And being an MBA and an executive coach, I'm sure you all can relate to this, that why I'm so passionate about this. Let all of you be the CEO of your own health so that you be successful and happy in your life. I think payback time, um, has come. And, um, I will look forward to seeing all of you in my next sessions. Anything else which you will want to learn, keep sharing with my team. I will discuss all of those on thyroid. If you have any questions, send them. I will cover them. But 3 more questions which I already had prepared in my class today were: 1, which are the gut dysbiosis bacteria and parasites which are related with Hashimoto's published in medical journals, right? Nobody is talking about those, but there is lot of literature on that. Second, why Thyronorm is not the right medicine for everybody. Right. And third, why adrenals should be fixed first before even working on thyroid. Okay, so stay tuned. Thank you for joining. Kuntal, call Dr. Simran. I will leave the this thing here and book a consult. Thank you. Right, I've given Dr. Simran's number. And stay happy, stay blessed. See you very, very soon. But once a month, I will make it a point, I will be with you. Share the link of the webinar with all your friends and in all your communities so that more and more people can be informed and more and more interest can be generated, and we all can, you know, be happy and healthy. I would request all of you to tag me wherever you want to, or send me one feedback on the webinar today. Uh, that will motivate me, excite me, and help me come back to you again. Thank you. Bye-bye. Any questions? I'm happy to take them. Yeah, just wanted to know what are the— what cutoffs do you take for Hashimoto's? Because sometimes the cutoffs are not very high. And then, uh, do we need to follow like 25, 30, uh, if you're getting the TGAs or TP? Madhu, you know the answer to this question, right? Uh, cutoffs are not very important. What is important is, is the patient having symptoms? Yeah. Okay. I have seen patients having symptoms, and I've told you in my talk, I would treat those symptoms and those patients as Hashimoto's patients. So history is extremely, extremely important. As a giveaway from this, in the chat box I will share a document of what I test and what is the concept behind it. But Madhu, history, history, history, right? History, history, history is extremely important because one is lower cutoff, second is higher cutoff. There are some people where you will never be able to get the antibodies down to 50 60, 40, 30. But if they have no symptoms, the body will take 4 to 5 years for the antibodies to go down. Yeah, because genetic makeup plays a huge role. Okay, but by the time I finished all my sessions on Hashimoto's, you would have built that muscle strength to exactly know what to tell which patient and how to help them. Right. Yeah, wait for it. Thank you. Okay, bye-bye. Any other questions anybody has? Consistent high BP and subclinical thyroid can definitely be related. And why it would be related is because, you know, In the coming slides, I will tell you how mercury and aluminum play a huge role in subclinical hypothyroid and how all these heavy metals play a huge role in your BP. If you are feeling fatigued, if you are feeling low on energy, if you are not getting up fresh, if you have palpitations, then subclinical thyroid is of course definitely there with your BP. And you can have a much better quality of life if your thyroid can be optimized. Okay, yes, any other questions? Antibodies— how to bring that down? Antibodies, yes, I've had patients where I've brought down antibodies from 3200 to 300. and then left it there for 2 years as a break because I said from 200 we'll go deeper down after some time. Let the other thing settle down, and you must bring your antibodies down. There is no reason why you should not get your antibodies down. And as Angelina pointed out, antibodies down doesn't mean treating your thyroid. It means treating the inflammation which is there. Which is affecting the thyroid but other organs also. And it is definitely possible, Nidhi. Every day I see that happening. Miracles our body can create is so amazing. But yes, we must do it. We must. Thank you, Nidhi. Have a great Sunday. Insulin is definitely related to Hashimoto's. Your pancreas, I showed you in the picture. If you do not treat your insulin resistance, you will not be able to treat your thyroid. And if you don't treat your thyroid, you will not be able to treat your insulin resistance. So, Arneet, both have to be attacked at the same time. But if you attack one, the other will automatically start solving itself slowly and gradually. But they are definitely connected. No reason they are not. And that's the beauty of our body, you know. I love it every time whenever I see how everything is connected and talking to each other. Thank you, Bridge. Your feedback will be very, very valuable. Please send something. What did you learn and how did you find? And see you next month again. Take care!
