In this instructional video, Dr. Priti Nanda Sibal demonstrates how to create a refreshing watermelon mocktail. She begins by cutting watermelon into pieces, adding mint and Himalayan rock salt to a blender with a little water, and blending the mixture. After blending, she sieves the puree to remove seeds. She then prepares the glasses by rubbing a lemon wedge around the rim and coating it with erythritol to create a sweet, low‑calorie rim. Finely chopped watermelon pieces are placed in the glass, filling about one‑third of the volume. The strained watermelon juice is poured over the fruit, and carbonated soda is added on top, with a safety reminder to open the soda bottle carefully to avoid fizz overflow. Ice can be added optionally. The final mocktail is presented as a delicious, non‑alcoholic beverage.

Welcome to my channel Food Medicine and Lies, and today we are making watermelon— not juice, but mocktail. So what I've done is I have Cut some watermelon in pieces. I'm going to add some of them in my jar. I'm going to add some mint, right, and a little salt. This is Himalayan rock salt which I'm going to add. Now, why am I adding salt now rather than later? Because I'm going to add some soda. And then it's going to all come out if I don't add it now. So this is what I have, a little water, and I'm going to blend it first. So now this is ready. Now I'm going to sieve it so that if there are any seeds, right, they will not come in our mouth when we are going to drink this mocktail. So now this is ready. Now I'm going to sieve it so that if there are any seeds, right, they will not come in our mouth when we are going to drink this mocktail. So now what we're going to do is I have this lemon piece, I'm going to rub this here at the top of the glass. If you want to do it, you can do it too. And this is erythritol here which I put in the plate, so this will help us make a rim. Similarly for the other glass, a little lemon, and then just rub it here so that we get a Perfect. Now I'm going to put some little pieces I've chopped very finely. I'm going to add these in the glass. One-third of the glass is going to be with these watermelon pieces. Yes. Perfect. And now I'm going to pour this juice. Now I'm going to add the soda on top of it to make it— sorry, just be careful when you're opening this bottle because we know that soda will create pressure within and it will bubble out and fizzle out like this, right? So just be careful. Sorry, but now add soda on top of it. If you need ice, you can add ice too. And this is very, very delicious. Have fun, enjoy!
