Hi, so this video is thanks to one of my clients, Meenakshi. She sent me a message yesterday saying, I have written down everything because I forget things and I am not able to recall. Do you know someone like this? Or if you can connect with someone like this, do listen till the end because Small changes in our lifestyle can make big impact in our memories. And is memory important? I am sure all of us know it is very, very, very important, right? So let's see what are these. First thing which is very, very critical to have good memory is exercise. For the last many years, I was not motivated to exercise because I was studying, and the more I study, the more I go deeper into it, because I think human body is such that it's so exciting, it's so mesmerizing that you just can't come out of it. But then I landed up reading this study which said 30 minutes of fast walking 5 days a week can decrease your chances of having Alzheimer's by 29%. And if you can do 20 minutes of jogging 3 days a week, 50% chances of having memory loss, that's Alzheimer's or type 3 diabetes, can be decreased. How powerful! And I think this is one reason I feel motivated to exercise. 2. Gaming. If you can make anything a game, you will memorize it. Simple example: people come to me for preventive measures or having good health or taking a diet plan. I tell them, we don't give you a diet plan, we will give you a health to happiness plan, but only in one condition. 'If you are ready to play a game with us and with all your friends and family members.' And if they say yes, I tell them, 'Let's play this game. Are you ready, guys? Let's do this. So turn your head left, turn your head right, turn your head left, turn your head right. Whenever you see that you've got anything which comes out of packet or processed or you don't want to eat it, You just have to remember to play this game, and the success rate of my clients losing weight or becoming healthier or following the new habits increases by 60-70%. And of course, most importantly, they never forget doing this. Perfect. Third is learn a new art. It can be anything. For example, my husband is learning playing bansuri these days at 50. You know, learning a new art is not easy, but I think corona times has given us time to relook at it and know what is it that our passion lies in. For example, I am learning to do cooking, and I'm sure you are learning a new art too. Fourth, gratitude. Practice gratitude. Why? Because when you practice gratitude, you are grateful for the air, for the sun, for the house, for the people who work with you, and that thankfulness sets you in peace. And to add to this, be positive. It is not the situation which makes you stress, it is your response to the situation. And the moment you start being positive, you will see your response changing, and this significantly impacts your memory. Next is, if you require supplements, don't hesitate from taking supplements. Just make sure that you do not self-medicate. Supplements also have side effects. Always go to a functional medicine doctor and get a prescription of supplements which you want. A proper balance of omega-3, 6, and 9 is very, very critical for good memory. Your brain is 70% fat, and therefore, because in our diets we don't take that much fat now, Supplementing is important at times. If all this is not helping you have a very sharp memory, remember, balance your hormones. If your hormones are not in balance, you will not be able to have good memory. So balance your hormones and find a doctor who does bioidentical hormone therapy. Because that is with almost no side effects, and once done right, it can give you magical effects in terms of memory, energy, relationships, your libido, your sexual life, and all of it. And two more things, friends, and I promise you will have an excellent memory. One, have friends, talk to them often, and go out with them. It helps you have better brain health. And last but not the least, good sleep is very vital. And when I want to tell you good sleep, I have another video wherein I talk about 3 minutes Dr. Preeti's framework to good sleep. Do watch that and make sure that you sleep well to have good memory till the day you are alive. Remember all good things in life, have fun, and stay healthy always.
