This is a YouTube video titled "How I Discovered My Hair was Thinning" containing a personal narrative involving two speakers discussing their experiences and concerns about hair thinning and male pattern baldness. The speakers share their observations, feelings about self-consciousness, and intentions to address the issue. The content is reflective and focused on personal appearance and confidence.
I first started noticing that my hair.
Was retreating down the back of my head. I think I was 27 years old and I was getting a haircut and.
The hairdresser said, have you ever thought about taking zinc?
And I said, no, what does zinc do?
And she said, it helps with thinning. Within the next year, I really started.
To notice that our best days were behind us.
The problem I have is like thinness up here. It's just started to really, really thin.
Out in the front, which is like the most noticeable place for that to be happening. And all I can think about when I'm talking to somebody who's, you know, at my chin level is that they're.
Staring up into this, you know, thin.
Straw like area, which is just gonna, just gonna be seeing right through it because that's what I do when I'm looking in the mirror.
Can kind of see moving a little closer, you can get a good look. I got the, the intense widow's peak, which doesn't bother me so much. It's just that this little sort of.
Area in the middle has become very thin. And when the light strikes it, you can see right through it all the way, you know, into tomorrow.
I'm a performer, I'm a musician, so I'll be on stage and it's a lot of eyeballs on you for a long time. And it's not nice to be self.
Conscious in the middle of that.
So I think, yeah, this will really help with just. It'll allow me to focus on what I should be focusing on instead of obsessing about how I'm physically being perceived. That's a big part of the reason. But it's not just the performance. It leaks into your everyday life. So, yeah, in a nutshell, I'm tired of looking in the mirror and just kind of staring at it.
It's not going to get better by itself.
Told I'm pretty sure that's not how.
The male pattern baldness thing works. I think once it starts to go, it just keeps on going unless you.
Do something about it. So that's what we're gonna do.
