This is a YouTube video titled "The Worst Part of Recovering from FUE: Is it Headaches or Itchyness?" containing a personal monologue recorded in 2025. The speaker describes their experience and recovery process one week after undergoing FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplant surgery, discussing pain, swelling, headaches, and the challenges of itching during recovery.
Hello. It has been one week since the surgery. I'm looking very stylish. I'm looking very. If you're looking at this camera, it's especially. You can see the side where this has been shaved. So, yeah, I'm looking very peaky blinders, very in vogue, very fashionable. How has my week been? So it was. I would say that the pain level actually kind of increased for the first four days or so, and then I had some crazy swelling on, like, day three through five. I had. The middle part of my nose was, like, huge, and it was kind of bunking into my eyeball here, and my head was just maybe 1.5 times larger than it usually is. It was pretty alarming, actually, to see, and there was a lot of pressure in my head, a lot of headaches, that kind of thing. I would say definitely give yourself a week to not have places to go and things to do, because for the full week, I was out of commission, more or less from either just being really tired, having trouble sleeping, from the pain in the head, from the headaches. It was all manageable. You want the drugs, but it was all manageable. I'm a little shiny because you can see I've been doing the mineral oil in the. In the front part, Polysporin on the back after showering. Been showering by dumping water with baby shampoo on my head. I am super nervous about, like, putting a hat on. Super nervous about touching this at all. I'm concerned about losing the grafts. I know it's really unlikely, and I've been being incredibly careful, but it's just like, boy, you really don't want to lose them after what you've gone through to get them in there. The itching is the hardest thing to deal with, actually. More so than the. Than the pain or the headaches. The itching of the head, it just gets itchy. You want to scratch it, but you can't. It's very important that you don't scratch it. I think that we've turned a corner, and we're into a new phase of the recovery, so we'll check back in in another week.
