I'm super excited about today because Thursdays every other week we have release week and today we had some really exciting releases. We're working on scaling our growth groups which is cool because that allows more people to come in when we're hosting these big giant weekly sessions. It also we also included the ability if you're a host, to edit your agenda. So if you are over in the agenda on the right sidebar, if you're a host, you can edit right there in line, you just click the edit button and and you'll be able to edit your agenda. Which it's one of those little things, but it's also very impactful. So just for example, if you were hosting a growth group and you're like dang, I gotta cancel this growth group because I just had something come up and I can't have it. But I got all these people that have RSVP'd and I don't want to leave them hanging. You can go and Edit your agenda to letting them know why it's canceled. Little blurb. And then you could also put a link to the next one you're rescheduled right there in that agenda and then you could cancel it. Then they all will get that notification that it's been canceled. But they'll also see your note. Right? Pretty simple, straightforward, without having to do anything fancy. Just go in there and use that. Ah yes, I know Kevin's hosting growth groups so if you haven't seen Kevin's growth groups should go check them out because hey, we're all supporting each other inside his platform. It gives me chills, it gets me excited because you know, we're all in different areas of growth right now and one of the big areas of growth that I'm actually in right now is growing this product. Making this product something that is just a household name for people that are really needing a growth system, an all in one growth system and just building it up, making it amazing. So would love to hear Yalls feedback too after the session's over on things that you think went well, things that you think we could be doing better and also if there's any aha's from today's growth group for any tips that you learned from using the product but also tips that you just learn from, you know, thinking about influence and courage and how to step into that inside this tool. So I want to support you there too. Alright, great job team. And I know that you know there's also two things that I just two other notes besides the release that I wanted the release notes that I wanted to share with you and one is we have a really exciting feature that's coming to the dashboard. It's called, it's a featured experience. It's going to show up on the dashboard right underneath the daily fire. It's not there yet but I think you're all going to love this so much because we're bringing a new coach to the platform and this new coach is pretty well known coach out there in industry and he's going to be producing some video content for us and it will be something you'll see on the dashboard and I think you're going to absolutely love it. So you're all the first to probably hear about that. So just keep checking back in on the dashboard and I'm not going to say who it is but I just want you to know that you were the first to hear it and it's going to be coming and you're going to like it's Going to be pretty cool. It's going to be pretty cool. And you're going to see it right underneath the daily fire. Yeah, I know. So curious. All right, so today. Today. I know. I can't tell you because, you know, it. It's coming. It's coming, and it's awesome. It's. It's something I've actually been listening to multiple times over because it's so good. And I think. I think. Yeah, I mean, I'm sorry I said it now, but it. But you're all gonna love it. All right, so let's move on to what I think about with influence and courage. Right. We are constantly trying to influence. Not in a negative or kind of a. Like a. Like a persuasive way where we're just trying to get what we want, but we have to influence people in our careers, in our jobs, in our initiatives. Like, we need to build influence. And what I just want to see in the chat. What do you think about when you're thinking about how do you influence other people? Like, what do you need to do or what do you need to build? What do you think about when it comes to influence? What are some things that you think about? Being a good role model. That's a really good one. Keep them coming. Keep them coming. What do you think about when you need to influence? Maybe your kids, maybe it's your team, maybe it's your partner, maybe it's trying to influence the CEO of a company. What do you try to do? Doing the work to build confidence. Yes. Being willing to listen to their perspective. Okay. Yeah. Building a reputation of action. Being kind. Yes. Yes, yes. So when I think about influence, I'm thinking about three big things. And if you take anything away from today, these three big things are things that have brought me influence as a designer and as a product leader in the industry. And when I talk about, like, what do I have to do? I have to influence a group or a body of people that are trying to decide where to spend their money on products and services. So in technology, right, there's hundreds, hundreds and hundreds of things that we can invest in. There's so many things that we can invest in. But where do you decide to put your investments? Where do you decide to put your army of designers and engineers and product managers? Where do you decide to put them so that they're focused on the things that actually move the needle for the company or for the business? Right. There's a lot of influence that comes with this. So these three things are what I typically focus on when I'm trying to influence and come through in a leadership kind of mentality. So the first one is, number one important for me is that I'm authentic to myself. I want to be authentic, authentically me about how I show up in moments where I need to bring influence. I don't want to be somebody that I'm not. I want to show up in moments and I want to show up in moments that really allow me to not feel like I'm being somebody else. I want to be myself. So when I'm showing up with my team and in a weekly review meeting and I'm trying to help lead them, I want to show up as myself. When I'm in all hands and I'm presenting to hundreds of people, or if I'm in a keynote on stage and I'm trying to present a vision or a direction of something, I want to be authentically me because I don't want to feel the nerves of that I'm trying to be somebody that I'm not. And I think just grounding myself first with this when it comes to influence is something that served me over the years because I walk into these moments confident of who I am. And that's, I think confidence of who you are is a really important thing to do that inside of the Growth Day app, you can go to the beautiful profile section. So I want everybody to go over to the profile section right now super fast here. So head over to your growth profile. Okay. I'm just letting some more people in and. Alright, so everybody, everybody, if you're on to growth, raise your hand if you're already there on the growth profile. And if you actually you're already there, that's great. So the growth profile, when we talk about being authentically you, this is a great place to start in doing that. So I'm going to open the chat here. Is everybody over there? Is everybody over on the profile? Let's go. If you're on your phone too, you could also do this from your phone. It's going to work perfectly fine. So head over to your. Okay, great. Everybody's there. Awesome, awesome, awesome. All right, so the first thing that you can do inside of your growth profile, right, Is you have the ability to answer your big why? You have a photo. This is all private information, right? I'm not sharing my screen right now. But you all have seen my profile before. You know, I have goals in there. I have my big why. I also have the focus areas of where I want to be. Like where I want to focus. I have my achievements down below of certificates and badges and things that I've earned. Right. So inside this profile, this is a great place to start. So how many of you have filled in your growth profile? Like, go ahead and like you can keep your hands raised. If you've already, if you've, if you've filled out your growth profile, I want everybody to, I want to clearly know who has done this. It's really important. Fill out your growth profile because when it comes to having some influence, you need to know yourself. You need to know how you're going to show up, how you're going to interact with other people. You need to know what success really looks like for not just how you want to succeed in your days, but you got to know it for how you're going to like take on that new project. You got to understand what the people. Kind of like what Kevin was saying about knowing other people's perspective. You want to know what they, the needs, desires and wants are for the people around you because they are on similar paths. They're on a mission and vision, trying to create something as well. Like we all have these things. That's why the growth profile is a way for you to have that anchor for yourself. Be like, this is who I am. This is how I want to show up every day. Right? This is an anchor for you. Use this when you're feeling like you don't necessarily feel congruent with how you're showing up. Come back in and connect to your big why and, and I'll kind of read you a couple of my big why's. Get in here and do this. Make sure that you, if you haven't yet filled this out, then I want to encourage you to do this today. My very first big why is I want to first learn how to take care of my mind, body and spirit. This is who I am. This is how I can stay authentic to myself. I want to support the people I love, the team I strive with and the outcomes I'm shooting for. Right. If I can understand where I want to play, I can also help understand my team or I can help learn about my team, where they want to play and how they want to show up too. Right? This helps with influence as well because you understand the needs and you're empathetic to where people are at. The other thing is I want to accelerate and advance people in achieving their goals. I want all of you to be able to achieve more goals and dreams and reach towards your ambitions this year and Build a loving and supportive environment. Right for me, I want to do that for my family. It's who I am, it's how I'm authentic to myself and and then I also want to develop high performing teams and environments so they can succeed and get to their next level. I also want to support, elevate and empower our youth. Like I have a 13 year old son. I really want to help support his community, his network of creators and makers so that they can build the future of this world. Like the technology of this world and how they grow up and how they're supported and how they're mentored and how they're coached and how they're able to have that support. They need to do the things that they want to do. That's so important to me. So that's my big why. Like I have this documented inside of my growth profile and I want you to consider how you're going to document your big why's because it starts with having a very clear picture of how you're going to be your authentic self. How you're going to show up every day, how you're going to interact with people, how you're going to succeed. And this is a good place to start. So I hope that was helpful. That's number one. Let's go number one. Alright. Number two is what's the second, probably the second most important thing when you're trying to build a little influence and a little courage in your days, what's something that comes to first comes to mind? Put it in the chat please and let me know what you think. Come, come, come. And I'm going to come back to the growth group here. So I'm just coming back in. What is something just to reiterate, what is something that you think about that you need when you do, when you need to build influence and courage? Learning how to use the digital world to create influence. Yeah, yeah. What else, what else, what else, what else? If you're just getting here, we're talking about Influence Encourage Day inside the Growth Day app. We just looked at the growth profile. Now we're going to lead to this next big giant pillar that's going to really support us when it comes to influence and courage. Let's see. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. We're heading over yet. Trust. Very good, Marlene, very good. Definitely, definitely, definitely. Trust is super important. What I was going to say is my number two most important thing because I told you I was going to share three. First one is authenticity. Second one is preparation. This preparation the word preparation is something that, that I tend to go back to every single day, over and over and over. And here's why. Preparation leads to confidence. Confidence leads to courage. Courage leads to being able to show up in uncomfortable situations on or speaking up in uncomfortable situations, and building a sense of awareness and courage to speak up when it's the hardest time to speak up. And one way that I like to do this is through the plan tool. So I'm going to head over to the plan tool now. So if you want to go to the plan tool, there's two ways to get there. You could hit four on your keyboard if you're inside the app, or you can just navigate to the plan element. But I like keyboard shortcuts because I'm just all about efficiency. So you can click 4 on your keyboard and there you're there. So this past. Actually, there's going to be a new video that I just released, and it's probably going to go in the community and I am going to share my screen for this one and I'll. So you can see it. All right, so I'm in the plan tool. It's going to check the chat here. Okay, great, great, great. Okay, fantastic. So now we're in the plan tool. Now, why is the plan tool important? The plan tool is important because it allows you to organize, organize complexity, organize systems, organize things that you need to do that are going to help move the needle for you. Plans do not just need to be to do list. Plans do not just need to be a series of things that you just have to do. Plans can be an example. I'm going to show you a couple examples. So me and my wife are planning literally during a soccer practice two days ago. We want to plan and prepare a moment. And this is not only for influence. This is because we wanna have courage when we go and go through this new thing that we're about to do. So we've been traveling for the last year, believe it or not, we put all of our stuff in storage. And right after Covid ended, like kind of the big Covid push ended, we put all of our stuff in storage in Napa, California. And this is hard. Just doing that took a lot of courage because we're like, oh, my gosh, we're going to leave all of our stuff and just grab everything that's in that we can fit in our RV and grab everything that can fit in our Toyota, our Toyota Highlander. What can fit in these things? That's the necessity. We're going to go on this trip, we're going to go to Airbnbs and travel across the country. We're going to go see family and then we're also going to go travel to this tiny town in north. Well, it's not really tiny, but we're going to go to this town in North Carolina and identify whether or not we would potentially want to move here. And we're also going to explore this incredibly different type of learning environment called an Agile Learning School. And this Agile Learning school has a self guided curriculum where our 13 year old could basically go and you know, do drumming through the day. He could do music lessons, he can do acting, he can do, you know, cooking. Just he can learn all sorts of different things. He gets to choose. And over the last 13 years we've been homeschooling him. So we're like, well, let's go see if this is going to be something that we'd want to explore. This took a lot of courage and a lot of planning and a frigging lot of preparation. So we went on this adventure and now we're at the stage where we're like, okay, well we don't think this is our place. Now what we're going to do is we're going to transition and we're going to go back and see some family. But now what we're going to do is we're going to plan this trip to Durango because we grew up, or we didn't grow up in Durango. But after I finished university I got my first design job in Durango, Colorado. And it was so cool because the team that I was joining was winning like this top 10 Nielsen Norman Award for the best applications in the world. So like as a junior designer coming in as an interaction designer, I got exposed to what it takes to, to build a world class experience and all places. It's in Durango, Colorado. Whitewater rapids running through the town, ski mountain next to it, hot springs Ouray the big, you know, almost like the Switzerland of Colorado. Beautiful. The million Dollar highway. Then you got Telluride, you got all these beautiful places in that Four Corners area. So we're heading back there and we're like, okay, well what are we going to do to set this up for success? So the first thing where we had a purpose to this plan, so we wrote down Durango and then the very first thing that we did, we wrote down our purpose for this, for this opportunity. So I'm sitting next to my wife and we're going through okay. And we're Talking about this is a part of a spiritual awakening for us because, you know, we. We could live anywhere in the world. We could live anywhere in the world. Where are we going to live and how are we going to be strategic about how we do this? Now I want you to think about all the things that you have to do in your life and, and all the things that you need to take on this year and thinking about, well, you got to have courage, you got to have influence to be able to do it. Because if you just don't talk about it, talk about what you want to do and why it's important, then you're not really going to have any advocates or supporters to help you do it, because nobody knows it's a. It's a thing. So you have to get really good at articulating how you feel your emotions, like, the emotions that you have. You got to. You got to be able to articulate what's important to you and why it's important. And there's two really good things you can do inside the Growth Day app. To do that, you can use a plan, and you can also journal about it. So we've been journaling for every, you know, every day for years now. We have a digital tool to be able to do it. So when we know how to articulate our feelings, our emotions, how we feel about this town, how we what. What things we want to do every single day, and I want to give you a little bit of a tip that you can do that inside this plan. So we answered these five, like, these four questions, five things we need to do in the first four weeks of living in Durango. So it wasn't just like, oh, we want to get set up. What are the top five things that we need to do when we are living in Durango? And I can tell you, we came up with six ideas. And those six ideas, four of them were for Jude, our son, and two of them were for us. And those four were about setting him up inside of these systems that we already know exist. Around rock climbing, around getting a fitness coach, around getting into the hot springs. So we have, like, a regimen for how we go and heal and work out and do fun things. So we already are imagining what it's going to feel like to be there. We're picturing it, and we're already thinking about setting it up for success. That's what I'm talking about when I say preparation. That's also going to help us have courage to go and do these things. It gives us Courage to take on big, bold actions. When we're like, I talked to my parents and friends about this, they're like, what are you doing? Like, what are you thinking? I'm like, we're good. We prepared for this the same thing six months before you even like relocated about this way. But isn't really relocation, it's like a travel. But I just want to give you an example of how this can work for you. The next thing that we had was five things that would set up this move for success. We know we're probably going to move towards the west coast, back where we were in the Bay Area. It's where my team is. It's also where there's just a lot of innovation and things happening that really resonate with me and my family. So five things come up with them. We thought about, like, okay, what make this move a success? We want to really space out and have fun trips. So when we drive out there, we're not driving 24 hours straight. We have five hour days and we're staying at really cool RV parks or going to see cool things so that we're spacing this out. So it's a really cool, collected and calm experience. Right? You ever, you ever been on a trip where you're like, we gotta keep driving, we gotta go, go, go, go, go. But you don't plan for it and then it ends up being a stressful thing on not only your, your partner, but maybe your kids or maybe it's even hard on your pets. We have two cats and these cats are pretty cool, traveling cats. And they're gonna be able to come with us on this adventure. We'll get Airbnbs and we'll also stay at home. Cool RV parks. It's gonna be fun. So I just want to give you another example of things that you can do. Another one. Five things we must integrate while living here, while living, you know, there in Durango. So the thing here is like thinking, well, it's not just about like what you picture, what would make it successful. How are we going to integrate our lifestyle into this town? Because if I just start thinking about it when I'm there, I don't want to wait two, three weeks once I'm there to start doing, living the lifestyle that I want to live. We've already lived there before. We know what it feels like, we know what it looks like. So what are the five things that we can do? And I bet you're probably like, what did they write inside of there? Maybe for another day. I'll share that. But again, it's like, okay, we got to be able to integrate the lifestyle that we want to live. Again, this is preparation. Another example of this is five things we must do before we leave Asheville. So give you another sense. We really care about the people we meet. We really care about, you know, we've traveled across the country multiple times. We meet incredible people. There's incredible people everywhere. And, you know, you have to decide how you're going to invest in those relationships, like, in the long term. So what we want to do is make sure that when we leave here that we're saying our goodbyes, that we're, like, really blessing this land and this community that really supported us for, like, six months. We also want to establish, like, the friends. The friendships that we're going to be going, hey, we're not going to see it for a while. So we want to prepare for those moments, too, and, you know, be mindful of, like, hey, we just built some relationships for six months, and it's going to be hard for the people, you know, that care about us, too. And we're leaving. And, you know, Jude had competitive soccer and was doing so good in that. So we got to find a new competitive soccer team in Durango. We got to find a new competitive soccer team when we move back to Napa. And these are challenging things, but, you know, it takes a lot of courage to be able to go and live the lifestyle and live the way that you want to live. And I just want to encourage you all to prepare a little bit more. Right? Let's go, let's go. All right, all right, all right, all right. Cool. Thanks. Thanks for the shout out there. So this is an example of a plan, right? We got it. The third thing that I want to call out and I'm going to come back to you, and I'm going to stop sharing. Come back to you. These are just another ways and examples of how you can use the plan tool, right? The journal is a way that you can also reflect. If you're doing journaling all year long, then you're setting yourself up for success, to be able to be able to reflect and know how to talk about what you need, what. What you feel, what you desire. It's a beautiful thing. The third thing, I said it earlier, and I was trying not to say the word, but it just came out. And the third word that we need when we're thinking about building influence and courage is we need to build up our confidence. And I know you all know this because you're in Growth Day. And Growth day is a great place to build confidence because there's a supportive community, because there's a lot of tools, courses and resources. And you hear it every Wednesday about these amazing, you know, different perspectives of how to approach something. So I mean, this month alone with time management is going to be again worth the entire year of all access and the entire year of pro, because we're going to hear from 10, 10 to 12 different perspectives about how to manage time. And these are probably the, some of the busiest people in the like, I mean, we're all busy, right? We all have things, we can fill our days as much as we want to. But how impactful are those times that we spend and I think having the confidence inside this tool. So know when you're showing up for your presentations, when you're showing up for the times, for dinner or for an outing or for an experience like how do you represent and present yourself? I was talking about this earlier today too, where, when the way you present yourself and show up and like what's your presence look like? And I know I'm on video right now so you can see me, you can see my rv, can see where I'm at. But thinking about this is like there's confidence in how you show up. There's confidence in the energy that you feel when you, when you're in a conversation, how present you are, how aware you are of the room, how you're reading the room, how you're showing up in that moment, right? Are you focused, aware and intent like that, that confidence can ring through and how you show up. And I learned this early on when I was in baseball like, like 11 and 12 years old. We polish our shoes before our games. We. I'd make sure all my catchers gear was super clean and, and polished before the games. I'd make sure that my, my gloves had a little bit of, you know, a little bit of just packed with a little bit of oil so it was nice and soft when that ball would hit, make that sweet sound like all those little details in that preparation led to the confidence that I have in my life today. The preparation that my dad taught me. My dad was a chief master sergeant in the air Force for 50 years. He worked on fighter jets and big giant planes and ran an entire hangar. You know, during the wars he would help, you know, he'd ran a whole hanger for troops to be able to fly in, fly out and cargo things, really important missions. And I learned about preparation from him. But it wasn't from all the things that he was doing at work. It was just like from him modeling and teaching me. Like, okay, let's get to. Let's get to practice a little bit earlier. Let's show up for practice and be prepared and know what we're going to get into. It's that level of detail and preparation that gives you the confidence that you need to step into being more courageous and being more influential in your life. I hope that makes sense. It's all, all deeply connected and rooted together. So how do we do that? We plan, we prepare, we build a little courage. During that time, we get feedback about those things. Because that feedback also from our peers and from our team and our people that support us, that's also going to give us a little bit of courage, give us a little bit of confidence. It's going to help us build more. Like, oh, yeah, I could do this. I can make this happen. Oh, yeah, that's really challenging, really tough. I got this, I'm gonna do this. All those little things build up over time and you gotta even think about. I'm sure all of you have had successful projects and have had not successful projects. Like you work on something as a failure, you work on something, it was a success, right? You take what you learn from those failures, you take what you learn from those successes. You keep doing the things that are helping you bring you success, and you learn from the failures that you had. And that's the game, that's the cycle. That is the growth loop, right? Reflecting, planning, training and then learning and practicing and taking action. Like, we just do those things every day. And if you follow actually the growth date, like these pillars, journaling, scoring, planning, challenging, learning, and you just do those things, like tap into those. Every single week, one of those items, or even every day, tap into those. That is essentially the growth loop. So I want to encourage you to check that stuff out and to really get those things. Because the confidence that we build from these moments is what's going to compound. And the great thing about confidence is it is a compound effect. So you do it. You build confidence this year in the things that you're doing. You do it again next year, you're going to build more confidence. And guess what? If we're supporting each other and doing it, you're going to be building more confidence on top of that. And I think it's just, it's just like a. It's a multiplier effect. It helps the more you do it. Just like all these other things that we're doing, so boom. Oh, man. Okay, great. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I am recording the session. So if you have to bounce and you have to come back, I'm going to end up posting this to the community. I usually post them, like, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and you get them in and go check it out and, you know, relearn what you got to do is inside the tool. All right, awesome. So let's keep this party going. So we talked about authenticity. We talked about preparation. We talked about confidence. All right, so three things that are going to help drive towards building influence and courage. I want to give you a couple more examples of how to do this in the app and also just in life. It's going to be good stuff for you. I'm going to read the comments real quick just to make sure I'm caught up. So if you need to take a drink or just, you know, take a little note, I'll be right with you real quick. Oh, right on, Right on. That is super courageous. You know, I think just even showing up today in the session was a courageous action that you took. You didn't know what I was going to talk about. You didn't know which people are going to show up in the room. So going into a room, into a growth group and into a growth room and saying, like, I'm gonna go and listen to this guy. I know that he works at Growth Day. I know that he is a certified high performance coach. Maybe, maybe don't. I know that he loves product and loves design and he's a wild man going on trips and adventures. What does this guy have to say? Well, I have to say that I'm gonna keep sharing and knowledge sharing until my last day. Like, my last day of life. Like, I love this so much. I love, like, this ability to connect with you all. I think that's why this product. This product is the way it is. It's like we have such. We're just getting started with the app and there's so many other things that we're gonna do to this platform that are gonna support the future of growth and then building better growth systems. So it's kind of like, I don't know, sometimes people, like, use that. That phrase where it's like, aged wine, it gets better as you go, or aged liquor. I don't know if it gets better. I don't drink. But the thing is, over time, the product's going to get better. If you find areas of improvement, things that we can make better, you got to share that feedback. So that we can know what is going on. Just give us some grace and we're going to make it better. We really are committed to that and we really are committed to helping it just evolve over the year. You know, with the future of AI, the future of just making the product more sophisticated. We have a good solid 60 people working on this every day and we're going to just keep growing the company and making it better. So want to keep bringing people in, but also just keep adding value. So let us know where the value is so that we can keep doubling down on those things. I hope that helps. Oh yeah. Oh, nice spirit. We got a lot in common. Cool. That's so good. I love it. All right, so we have 22 minutes left and I want to share a couple more things like I was going to share about building confidence, courage, influence. Let's go. Alright. So when I typically think about or you know, know my history in my career, things that have brought me conf. Like things that have brought me confidence, influence and courage. So I gotta say this isn't like a recipe for everybody. I'm just sharing stories right now and one of the big stories that I remember was I got this really, this really kind of exciting moment in my life where I was in Santa Fe, New Mexico. So after I was in Durango, Colorado, I started like having just like a lot more ambition. Like I'm like, oh, this town is really cool. But where I want to go in my career, I want to have bigger projects, I want to take on more responsibility. And I decided to take a job in Santa Fe, New Mexico and I only got it, I got it because I got referred from another one of my colleagues at my, at my company in Durango. He referred me to this gentleman who was running a new local, state and federal like kind of agency. The company was called NIC USA And NIC USA is a company that helps. It's like an E government technology company that helps local, state and federal government get to their next level from, you know, building better tools, building better apps and they would affect like the local, state and federal like Motor Vehicle Division website or the Motor Vehicle division app or the Taxation Revenue Department website and all the tools and supports that help government. So they were all located in about 30 different states and I was helping launch the team in the Santa Fe because Santa Fe is the capital of New Mexico and I was going in helping. So my first project was to go in and redesign the Taxation Revenue department website and was also to. To design and redesign the motor Vehicle division website and as you know, as Brandon talks about with his dad's experience, his dad worked at the DMV or the motor vehicle division. And it's a really stressful environment. People do not like dealing with getting their license. They do not like dealing with those. So. So there's already high stress in that environment. So I'm coming in there. And Santa Fe is kind of like this super holistic chill town. It definitely has hot Springs. The 10,000 waves is one of my favorite there. It's a beautiful, like in the woods, in the mountains. There's hot springs up there. It's so beautiful. There's ski resorts and it's just like a great place for food and culture and the Native American culture. Beautiful, beautiful town. If you haven't been to Santa Fe. So I'm in there, I'm starting this thing and I'm like, I'm still pretty new at a, at a university, right? It's like my second or third year. I come in here and I'm working with the governor's office. I'm working with like just the state legislature, like the state officials. I'm learning about all these sorts of new things that I never got exposed to because I was a. Like I said before, I was an athlete growing up. I was in sports, I was in training, and I was learning about design. So now I'm in this whole world of learning about the culture of New Mexico. And I gotta say, like, it took so much courage for me to have to step into that role and take on, like not just one responsibility, not just two, but I was the designer, I was the engineer, I was the facilitator with the state, I was running the project planning. So I was like a product manager. So I'm doing all four or five different roles that a typical team has, like a product manager, designer, engineer, back end engineer. I'm doing all those things right? So I have to learn really fast. And I'm already a sponge learning all these things. But moments like that where I didn't ask for that big giant project, I wanted to take on, I wanted to take on bigger things, but I didn't know it was going to be a big giant task. So I want you to think about time where you went through something and you didn't even know that you could do this sort of thing. And I know you all have way more season probably than me on a lot of different things. You have gone through this moment in your life and remember those moments that build courage in your life and hold on to those Moments, because those moments are going to help continually build your confidence as you. And help establish your confidence as you go on and take on new things. You got to remember those times where you were great. You got to remember those times where you took on big challenges. Because if you forget about those moments, then you're downplaying your abilities and you have unlimited, unlimited abilities. The only abilities that, you know, things that slow us down is the fear of failure and the fear of just not being good enough. Right? But throw all that out the window. Throw it all out the window. It's really about capitalizing and continually evolving and storytelling the story and identity of yourself and living in that. So that experience gave me so much confidence, and I actually. We crushed it. I ended up helping out the Los Alamos county website and ended up rebuilding their site and just evolved this brand and this company while I was there. But guess what? I got more passion, more enthusiasm, was ready to take on even bigger challenges. And I'm like, okay, well, don't want to be in Santa Fe. Don't want to be in Santa Fe for the rest of my life. It's cool. But where we were currently at, we were in this growth stage. So I ended up taking on a new project where it was like, okay, well, I'm going to go on and be a design director and manage teams now, Manage how to build a product from 0 to 1. And I ended up doing that for another 18 months, and that was super successful. And that was. That company ended up getting sold. But then I was like, my wife and I, we were considering a move at this time. Jude was like, 3 years old, and we're like, what about the Bay Area? Always had a dream about going to the Bay Area, working at a tech company. And that really was built around technology and innovation came. Worked at a company called Crosscap, Worked with, like, the biggest retailers in the world, like Walmart, like Target, like Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret, all the big brands. And we built services and software that helped them be more efficient in their marketing operations and their marketing calendar and distribution deliveries of, like, you know, the stores and app signage, all that stuff. So go through that and you gotta say, like, to take on another challenge that's bigger than the challenges that I already had. I just kept taking them on. And I really. I don't. I don't think in my mind I was thinking, oh, this is gonna be hard. I was thinking, like, what. What could I step into that's gonna. That's going to not only give me way more experience, but that's gonna step into the actual person that I want to be. And I know I can be. I had no limit. And I think sometimes, you know, we might give ourselves limits, but I had no limits, y'. All. I was just going, going, going. I'm like, another opportunity of courage, another opportunity to influence the environment that I'm in, to really step in to the role that I really wanted. And, you know, I did have vision. I want to be head of product and head of design someday. Grateful and blessed that I get to do that here at Growth Day. But you know what? My road. My road at that time was like to follow my path, follow my intuition, follow my gut, and I continue to do that. And then after a year of being at CrossCap, I got this ring from one of the companies that literally was my dream company when I was going through school, and I was learning about how to develop these skills. So if you haven't yet heard of Linda, this was the best learning company in the world for, like, 20 years running. Lynda and Bruce Wyman started Lynda.com in there. She started in her 40s, and this company was to help bring online learning to the masses. Right before. Before themasterclass.com before all these other Udemy and all these other companies. Right. Linda.com was around, and I'm like, I got a call from a recruiter there and ended up like, what, you. You want me to work with you and start this new team in San Francisco? When can I start? Like, it was a total dream. So I got that job, got that opportunity, and then got to go and start designing products there. And here's. Here's the kicker. I'll get to. You know, there's all these things, because it ended up going from one company to another company. I hope this is interesting for you. I hope this is, like, helping kind of reignite that you can do these things. You can make these things happen with a little courage and a little influence. Is I started redesigning a task I had at Lynda when I was there, and this was to, like, make an offline viewing app so, you know the app that you're using today. Imagine being able to have an offline viewing mode that you could download on your phone or on the desktop, where you could take your laptop and take your phone and go fly across the country and still be able to listen and watch the content. But you have to download it, right? Because you don't have Internet when you're traveling. And at this time, the Internet on The planes wasn't very good. So we ended up ended up redesigning an offline viewing mode for the product. And lo and behold, because I am just a fiery designer and I wanted to go big on this, I ended up presenting this to the founders and we ended up deciding to build and redesign the entire application. Boom. So then at that point in time, I had this redesign project that started off kind of small, but ended up getting huge. And then we had a whole team rallied behind it, had built out an incredible design system. And if you don't know what a design system is, the. The design system is something you can use as a team, a product design and engineering operation to be able to organize all the assets and organize all the visual language and all the typography and all the components so that when you build the product, it's consistent and can build a lot faster. And when you do that, it saves the company hundreds of thousands of dollars. And it also helps the team, the engineering teams move so much faster because they're using one code language to build versus everybody building their own thing. And then there's a lot of bugs and there's a lot of issues across the board. So as you grow through the product here, you'll see that there's a lot of different. There's a. There's a language to growth day. There's a visual storytelling that is part of this tool. And we're in year two and we've already built these sorts of things, but there's a lot of room for us for to growth. So I ended up getting this project going in and leading and that is where I ended up basically compounding because I took on an initiative, I ended up learning about three times faster than what I would have ever learned if I would have just stayed in one spot imagining like just that it's going to come to me versus me taking the action and taking the initiative and just continuously learning and following my gut. Now I'm not saying you have to move across the page country and do all the stuff that I'm doing. I'm saying that you have to be open and intuitive and, and follow your gut when it's talking to you. And it doesn't mean moving across the country. It just means being open and being expansive to what could come what could come to you and putting it out in the universe that you do want something greater for yourself and you do want to have greater courage to take on new things. You do want to have the ability to have more influence in your life. I think It's a beautiful thing. I think it's super beautiful. So I ended up getting that opportunity going in and redesign that platform. And Lynda.com ended up getting bought by LinkedIn for $1.5 billion. Doesn't seem like a lot now, but it was a lot then, it was a lot of money. And then Microsoft ended up buying LinkedIn soon after and I was a part of that entire journey and I got to learn and work with some of the greatest people in technology, greatest, the greatest leaders that I've got to ever work with and have influenced me. And at that time you got to understand I didn't even know Brendan even existed at that time. I was in a completely different industry. I didn't even know that. I knew that the self help industry was out there, but I didn't even know it really how big it really was. Even though like my wife had been reading all these books and we had audio tapes and things that we were listening to, but I just didn't even know this was an industry. And then tap into a few years later after that ended up going on this incredible journey to having more influence and teaching about design and teaching about product. And I went on this tour with Envision app and flew around the country teaching about design systems. That's when I left LinkedIn, ended up teaching and then I ended up going to Facebook because I wanted to get back into the team environment and worked in performance management there, helped teams and then I left there, started my own company and then I ended up meeting Brendan and then full, full story like the courage, the courage and influence path. It's just, you just never know what's going to happen. But I followed my gut and followed my intuition. I just want to encourage you, like use the tools that you have at your disposal, learn about the people around you, learn about the tools that you need, learn about the tactics that are going to support you and the rhythms that you need. And then use this sort of platform and this tool to your advantage. Use it to your advantage. And that's exactly why, you know, there's, there's a growth loop designed in the sidebar for you to follow. There's an incredible community for you to tap into when you need support or encouragement or a little bit of motivation. And then you can also just come back when you want to get after it. And then we're going to be doing that all year long in this size tool. It's pretty cool. So I just. Hello from Cupertino. Let's go. So we got about eight minutes left. I talked about a lot of things today. I want to open it up for questions or if you do want to come up on the, like on the stage and ask a question, like face to face, we can do that too. But I just wanted to open the door for you over these last seven to eight minutes. If you want to just raise your hand and Alita, I don't know if you have your hand raised because you want to ask a question or if you're just raising your hand because you're like, what's up? So please raise your hand if you have questions or you can actually just use the chat and ask the questions there and then we can have a discussion around that too. How do we use growth groups? What a great question. The first thing that you can do to use growth groups is go to the learn pillar, which is six on your keyboard. So go to the. Go to the learn pillar. I'll share my screen. Okay, Dokey, you're all there. All right, so to use growth groups, you have to have a starter membership, a pro membership, or an all access membership. If you have a starter membership, you're going to be able to get five free growth groups this year. If you're a pro member, you get 10. If you're an All Access member, you get 10. We also have a growth group hosting plan where you can facilitate the sessions like I'm doing today and you can do them all year. And that is a hosting plan that is only $149 for 120 sessions a year. So let me repeat that. It's 120 sessions a year for 150 bucks. And this will allow you to host and facilitate recurring growth groups in the session. And to do that, you just scroll down on the learn page and then see this big giant blue CTA that says, want to host your own growth groups? We learn through conversations. Now you can invite friends, family, or team members to discuss your personal growth or wellness topic. So let me just move this down a little bit. And then you would click that schedule a group. And then we have to title our group. So we might be like, you know, whatever the group is. You can choose 30 or 60 minutes. You can choose the date and the time that it starts. You can even make it recurring on a certain day. Or you can do custom where it could be like weekly on Thursdays and on weekly on Thursdays. And I can do it for 12 consecutive weeks. And then I would have it in here. And then I could also choose the templates. We have 10 templates for you. So gratitude, leadership, you just click on them and then hit the blue button to do these. These are really nice if you need just conversations. Conversation starters. The more you do it, the more you'll get used to like the types of things that you want to contribute to to the platform. And then you would just come in and make it public or private. Private means that anybody with the link can get it or public is like it's open to the public. Anybody can see it and anybody, even if they don't have a membership, they could even join your growth group. So if you hit public and share that link out, anybody can join your growth group as long as they have a subscription. Not a subscription, but an account. So they could be a free trial member. They could actually be no. Have no subscription, like a no starter or no pro or no access. And they could attend your growth group. So if you wanted to attend it with your friends or family to try it out, then they could upgrade to starter to get the tools, they could upgrade to pro to get all the weekly Wednesday workshops with all of our coaches or they can upgrade to all access to get all the courses, all the on demand content that we have in the platform. Hope that makes sense. The also you could do an audio room or video room. I typically do video all the time just because I like seeing your faces and I like being, I like showing the energy because I'm just a very energetic person. I like to be able to see that. And obviously I have a little bit more than 120 groups. I have 875. But I'm working on knocking this down for the full year to serve y' all and to work this into the platform. So that's how you can create a growth group. And I hope that was helpful to show you if you didn't know actually too, if you scroll down and you can see like if you're in a growth group here, I'm going to come back to sharing this just to show you really quick, we got three minutes left in this growth group. And let's see here. All right, so now that you see my screen, you can see like I have other growth groups planned. I can click view all and see all of them. I can see my past replays. These are the Wednesday workshops that our coaches do. These. You have to have a pro membership to access this pro or all access. And then you can explore other things that are happening. Like Kevin, Kevin's here in the growth group today. He's going to talk about motivation, mastery, which is Going to be sick. It's going to be great. So go check out Kevin's on Friday 12. Good luck, Kevin. On that, we got Tiffany who's talking about Resilient, you. And then we have other ones like from Kim day off, who's going to be talking about Friday finishers. Danny is on our team. He's talking about the weekly intention circle, which is really helpful and empowering. And then we have other ones that are across all these different topics. And there's really, there's no cap. The only, the only thing that we ask is you don't like, try to sell your programs in the platform because it just will create a different vibe and energy. So just talk about things. It's a growth group. It's not a sales pitch. If you want to do your sales pitch, you do it outside the platform and which is totally kosher, totally cool. And then you can also see some of the other courses that we have. And if you want to go check out the courses, then you can click this little button down here and it'll take you to the courses tab, which is the second tab. And then you can go in and watch some of that. All the other courses that we have. Boom. There you go. Ah. So if friend we are, we are working towards a feature there spirit where if you host a growth group and you wanted to share this, we do want to connect the referral program. We're working on that. So that means if you shared a growth group and somebody signs up for a pro membership, that you can still get your referral bonus if they sign up through your growth group. So if. And if they get a membership. So we're working through that. Expect, expect this half, we're trying to work on that this half, this first half of the year and that would be really awesome for all of you. Thank you. Oh my gosh. Yeah, you guys. Really appreciate you. This is the last minute and if you liked this session, if you got something out of it and you thought it was beneficial and impactful for you, I'd love to get your feedback. You can post it in the community or you can go to the feedback tool and just share your feedback there. It helps us know how we can improve. It also helps know that we're on the right track with this type of content. It also helps me just become a better facilitator of growth for you all. This is so important to me and I just wanted to thank you all for being here today. Bless you all. Remember that influence encourage the three things, authenticity, preparation and Brrr. Whoop. Let's build some confidence. We talked about how those things all are connected together, and boom, that was it. Let's have a great rest of the week, and let's go get those Friday finishers out of the way. I know I'm gonna be editing, getting this release ready, getting these things going so that we can have some green lights heading into this next half. Let's go, and I'll see y' all in the next one. Byee.
