Can I help you build some Growth Systems!

This is a recorded Growth Group session led by Drew Bridewell (Head of Product & Design, Growth Day) focused on building personal and team "growth systems." Drew gives a guided walkthrough of the Growth Day app (dashboard/homepage, journal, life scores, plans, challenges, Learn library, community features), answers live user questions about reminders/purchases, and introduces a four-part framework for high-performance systems: flow, harmony, consistency, and quality. He closes with journaling and planning homework (map teams/projects/goals; journal top takeaways; create one new system to start next week) and shares personal anecdotes (travel, poison ivy, rescuing a cat) to illustrate journaling use.
Chapters
Welcome to my growth group. Today what we're going to be focused on is building growth systems. What you're going to expect from this video is a quick orientation of the app where we'll go through the homepage or the dashboard, the journal, life scores, plan, challenges, learn and the community. I'm also going to introduce you to four key topics. The four key topics that I'm really excited to introduce to you are flowing, harmony, consistency and quality. These are incredibly important when you're building rituals and routines and helping you build and encourage your teams, your projects, your goals, your priorities and your growth. I'm going to encourage you also to journal and take three things away from today's session. I want you to improve your note taking, I want you to improve your mapping of your growth systems. So be sure to build more clarity by asking questions. And then I want you to journal one new system that you will create. And start this next week after watching this training. Have a beautiful rest of your day and enjoy this training. Thanks so much. My name is Drew Bridewell. I'm head Product and Design Growth Day. I'm also founder of Next Level ux. It's a coaching program that I've designed for designers and product makers and creators. Also I'm host of a weekly series on LinkedIn learning where I teach practical UX tips about product design and that's on LinkedIn learning if you want to go check that out. But also I'm just really excited today to talk about growth systems. You're on the 11th part of this series. So it's a 12 week series and so far we've been going in every single week talking about just like building growth systems, building awareness around this and today we're going to bring it home because next week is the first final week of the series. But today I have a really fun agenda lined up and the agenda it's really first we're going to get oriented into the app. Now you all probably like I'm a pro at the app. I want to give you another level of awareness around how to get the most out of it. Today we'll dive into the homepage, the journal, the life scores, the plan, the challenges, the learning experience and community. And then we're going to dive into a little bit more strategic direction after we do this overview. That strategic direction is like thinking about what are the high performance systems that you're going to create to help you have better flow, to help you have better harmony, to help you have better consistency with the projects and the work that you've got going on. And then also how to raise the quality of what it is that you're doing in whatever it is that you do. Now, I know that some of us are in different, completely different roles and completely different disciplines. So as you go through this, think about how this relates to you and think about how this could also be something that you get to dive into. It doesn't actually matter if you haven't been in the other 10 sessions. These are just, they're building on each other. But you can also watch back on my other growth groups, I, I post them inside the community. Let's dive into this, y'. All. Let's dive into this. So I'm gonna share my. I put it inside the community. So if you are actually to go into the community, which you can just go into the community, it's the last link. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 on your keyboard and you can hit the community. And then you could just search at the top search bar for Drew Bridewell. And then you can see all my posts that I've since the beginning of Time for Growth Day, you can see all my posts and you can also just ask me any questions too, there in the DM if you have any further questions. All right, so let's just get super oriented with the app and then we'll dive into that. And I do have some homework for you. I have some initiatives and some things that I want to encourage you to do as we're here. And then also if you just have any questions, we can knock that out. All right, cool. Yeah. Always going to learn something new inside my growth group. So thanks for being here. Appreciate you all being here as well. So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to share my screen. You'll see this, you'll see a replica and I'm just going to go to my homepage. All right, so let's just do very basic orientation of the. And I know that for some of you it's going to look really small, like you can make your screen as big as you can. Again, I'm recording the session so you'll be able to tap into this later. So the first thing that I want to orient yourself. The dashboard's primary purpose is to give you a bird's eye view of everything that you're doing across Growth Day for your personal development. So when we think about what do we do when you first come into the app, we are suggesting what you do just by following column one and column two of the app. So we are going to be improving the dashboard over the, you know, next couple iterations of growth day. So we will be improving this so that you can get even better recommendations, you can get even better direction. But as of right now, with what we have currently have in the product, you have a hero carousel. The hero carousel allows you to see what's the latest, best things going on inside the app. You can get coaching, you can do the high five challenge. You can also see what the next upcoming event is with Lori and Mel Abraham, Lori Harder and this is the upcoming session for next week. You can also see that we did release a transformation challenge and that is in the product too. You can take these challenges as many times as you want as well. And if you even if you into our high performance coaching, you can go to click this link to claim your sessions. Just go get additional coaching support for you on the dashboard as well. You'll might notice that there's one column of all the things that you got going on from your plans, from your life scores, from your journal, from your audio. If you had purchased the standalone courses subscription or if you are an all access member or mastery member, you can actually get access to all the video courses. I'm just showing you that those currently exist. And if you've even purchased the high performance system, which was an offer that we had early on, these standalone offers still show up on your dashboard. Now I'm going to move the Mini player, the growth group Mini player all the way to the left side so you can see the right column. Now on the right column and just a tad bit more, you'll notice that the Daily Fire is always in the top right corner. So on mobile or desktop you're going to see the Daily Fire and that's just an everyday thing that you have access to. We also have our upcoming workshops. So if you ever see these little cards across the Learn pillar or on the dashboard, you gotta make sure that you RSVP to these if you're a pro member. If you're not a pro member, then you don't have the ability to watch these live weekly sessions. But I want to encourage you if you haven't yet tried them, give it a try. See if you, if it resonates with you. They're really high impact sessions. Then you'll always see the replays from the last, you know, for the last three months you're going to see all the replays and if you go into the Learn Pillar, you'll be able to see all these replays as well, you got your continue watching component, which is basically any course video content that you start watching. It will have a continue watching on the dashboard so that you can always pick up where you left off. And then we're always going to recommend to you a video based on your lowest life score recommendation. And sometimes we just recommend different content in here. So that's at your fingertips. You can always have that ready to go. He was amazing. Yeah. Awesome. Awesome. Yeah. Yeah. The weekly sessions have just been outstanding. So if you really want to tap into what we call social learning, the weekly live growth groups with our coaches are super impactful, and they're typically giving you frameworks. You're typically getting notes from our team internally. And then after the sessions end, we always have the notes in the bottom of the description at the on the replays. And I'll show you that here shortly so you can see what that looks like. All right, cool. So everybody's got an understanding of what the dashboard looks like. One of the pro tips that you might not know about the dashboard is that you'll see these little six icons when I scroll over top of the titles. Now, what you might not know is that we end up allowing you to move these up or down, depending on what your priorities are. So if you wanted your journal to be at the very top, you could grab it and pin it up to the very top, and then you could go through. And this will save on this device. We locally save it on the device that you're on. It will not save. If you jump into a bunch of different computers, it won't not save. But we're working on improving that. But as of right now, it will just move to the specific computer that you have it on. Also in this session, you can see that I'm live right now inside of a growth group. So I can see all the growth groups that I've RSVP to. I can see all of them right here at the top of the fold here. And I hope that's helpful. This is your dashboard. Super impactful. And now what I want to do is I do want to dive into the journal and let's just start with a morning mindset. And I clicked that really quick just because I want to make sure that I keep all of my journal entries private. But as you can see, there is inside of the journal, and I don't know how many of you use the journal every day or once a week. I'd love to hear it in a chat, so I can see how often you all are Journaling, because I'm going to give you some journal homework at the end of the session. So you want to stick through that because I want to give you these important prompts that are going to help you really elevate your growth systems across, remember your flow, across your harmony, across how you're building clarity and across how you're just building better growth systems for yourself over the second half of the year. Because right, we're in July, we're six months away, let's go for the rest of the year, which I'm just, I'm excited. There's so much opportunity to improve the second half of the year every day. Oh, awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome. Yeah. So, Matthew, there are some standalone, very specific offers that we have that are outside of the course. So those are purchased at a cheaper price when you're coming into the product. So they're not necessarily a tie to that specific offer, like all. All access offer. So I believe that the Wealth Habits Masterclass coming in, you can buy that as a standalone purchase. You can go to the offer section in the settings page in the where you manage your essentially like settings here and you can go in and manage your purchases. So you can actually, if it's offer, if that offer is available, you can just purchase it in line. If it's not, then you just, it's not available. So we'll work on that stuff too. If you have any other feedback around how we can make that better. Ah, so that's a great question. So there's another question in the chat about can we use our growth coins to purchase offers? That is something that we're really interested in diving deeper into. So if that's something that you really are passionate about and interested in, we are discovering that. So from a product perspective, we have this process called like a discovery process and we get intake of a lot of ideas and a lot of just new opportunities and then it goes through our development life cycle where we explore it, we look at the level of effort and then we decide whether or not like when it can go into our roadmap and then we just execute and build it. But I want to encourage you keep earning your growth points. They're going to be so valuable in the product and you want to keep earning the achievements as well and getting those badges because those will also be represented on your growth profile. So keep growing in that area. All right, so let me come back the journal if y' all like some of you do it every day. This has been the absolute game changer when it comes to building a growth system of reflection, building an empowered like way for you to just be in touch with how you're feeling, what you're thinking, how you're basically breaking down problems and turning those problems into opportunities. Like, the journal is a great way to just flush those things out so that you can stay focused on the actual things that are moving the needle, the things that are super impactful in your growth. So if you haven't yet tried, like doing morning mindset, try just doing it once a week. Try doing it. If you get to that once a week, try doing it twice a week. Try doing it three times a week. Work through those. Answer these questions. You just start to build muscle. That muscle almost memory of that muscle ability to be able to be thinking about. Okay, I. I know I journal about this every day like somebody I could surprise with a note, gift, or sign of appreciation. But what if that became a practice for you? Not just like something you write about in your journal, but it's something that becomes practice. By doing these journal prompts, you're building a better practice and it's just helping you reinforce those. Those, those practices. So the morning mindset's in a really impactful one. The evening review, again, opportunities to do this in the evening. Do your self reflection. You're breaking things down. Your growth prompts. You can click. Keep clicking the growth prompts in the app and it will keep cycling through all the prompts. So if you haven't yet done this and seen that, you can keep cycling through the top four values. What habits made my day better? What strengths did I. There's over 1500 writing prompts in here. So when you're feeling a little, like, out of sorts or if you're feeling like you need a little bit more direction, come in here and click on these growth prompts and this will help re trigger you and get you back on track. You back through there. Very nice. I love how the community is so involved or so like in this. It's so exciting and I love that we're growing together. So appreciate you all in the chat, lighting it up and just sharing things that you do. So good. I'm so just honored to be growing with all of y'. All. This is so good. Love it, love it, love it, love it, love it. Okay, cool. Let's keep the show going. So we got our weekly reviews, which typically come at the end of the week. These are good to do. Friday, Saturday, Sundays, three great things that happened to you this week. Just reflecting because how many times do You. You go through the week and you're like, what did I even do this week? What did I even achieve? I think this is just an opportunity to really celebrate yourself, but then also thinking about, well, okay, I'm making progress. I'm moving things forward. Such an important part of the product to be able to have these weekly reviews. And guess what? After you go through all these weekly reviews, let me move the chat over here. You can still access these at a later time. So if I go into my monthly review and I know. Let me just move this down a little bit. Boom. Okay, great. One thing that you should know, and I want everybody to follow along with me right now. So if you're inside the journal and you can follow along with me, because we have this mini player, right? The mini player is what you're seeing on my screen. The very bottom left, you'll have the same exact mini player. When you start leaving the growth group, instead of just watching, you're actually involved. You're doing the work with me. Come in here. Click the. Open the sidebar. And then what I want you to do is look at your month of activity. Now, I could see that. Okay, for July, I had two off days. And guess what? During those days, I was traveling from. I was traveling from Asheville. And on that Friday the 7th, I actually got the worst case of poison ivy on my arms that I've ever gotten in my entire life. Poison Ivy. And guess what? How do you get poison ivy when you're traveling? We were traveling in our rv. Our cat, Pumbaa. We have two. Two black cats. They're so amazing. They're brothers. And one of the cats, Pumbaa, jumps out of the RV when we're out getting gas, runs up a cliff. Like, literally a cliff between Kentucky and Tennessee, climbs up this mountain. We can't find him. For two hours, I'm searching and looking for our cat, Pumbaa. We find him up on a cliff. My wife traverses up this mountain top, and it's covered in poison ivy. I'm holding onto this tree, and it's so pitch black, I cannot see that there's poison ivy. And I'm holding the tree because if I don't hold this, I can't brace her if she falls. It's really steep. It's shale. So you're slipping, like. And. And our cat was not coming down because it was so steep. He was scared to get down. Typical cat problem. And then she grabs him. Puts. Or she has the carrying case on her. She grabs him. But Anyway, long story short, we saved the cat. I end up having poison ivy on my arms for two weeks and it's slowly still getting recovered. And you know what? Those moments happen. And then you come in, you're like, dang. What did I learn from that? I learned that I should have probably put a long sleeve on. But anyway, it's a moment in time. But it's a. It's something that I journaled about and I can remember now. Come back in July 2023. That was the. That was the month that was just absolutely just crazy wild for me. I know. Long story short, Poison IV is no fun. All right. Yeah. But everything. But anyway, like the whole thing, I'm still. Yeah, Pumbaa's back. Pumbaa sick. But the thing is, all through this moment, having growth day, having the ability to journal about it, having the ability to reflect about it, coming back in and using your in the sidebar to be able to track through all these days. If you hover over, they'll display the even like here like what I'm working on. I typically have my every day throughout the day and I'm writing, journaling when I want to capture thoughts, I want to capture emotions, I want to capture things. Now the thing is you can come in here and you can do that specifically with our prompts. So everybody got a really good understanding of that. You can come back through clear. You can search for your passing. So if you're trying to about how you tags because we for those exact tags and messages that you put into your chat or put into your search, put into your messages. Hope that is helpful. You can also filter by all these things too. So I know you all probably have been a journal and you've seen it and you've experienced it, but just wanted to give you an extra tip today to make sure that you're on track with that. Life scores are a pivotal ingredient to tapping in to practicing your weekly habits, your habits around high performance, your habits around your daily, weekly and monthly reviews. Now, the monthly review is like that whole life assessment, the daily assessment or just quick checkpoints around how you're performing across your habits. You're always going to get recommended for that. But I want to give you two tips today that you might not know about. You can always go back in to view your history just by clicking the view history button on there. That's always going to give you the track record of how you're going up and down and you're progressing and seeing all your stats. You can see your Stats across a period of time. You can filter those. You can also still come in and go to the previous days and click on the recommendations. And those recommendations are going to give you that little video in line that you can watch. So if I click this, I can just watch that video. It could go in about how to relax at the end of the day. And we are consistently updating our recommendations so you can always get new, fresh tips. So we got. And you can all still write your journal entry in line and you can even finish it inside the journal if you want. So just wanted to let you know that the history has those abilities so you can circle back and keep this very your thoughts united about how you're, you know, what you're progressing and what you're doing across the board. Now, we always keep track for you so that you can stay on track with the timers and the monthly assessments. So in 11 days, I got to do this again. In six days, I got to do this again. It keeps you on track, keeps you motivated. So I want to remind you all that you have that at your fingertips. If you haven't yet made a plan. This past month, we did a exercise around Q3. Start now. Earlier I had Q3 plans and Q2 plans and ramping up June and going through this, you can do this for pretty much anything. And even for these growth groups that you attend, or if you're attending our weekly workshops with For a Pro and our Pro membership, you can create plans for the things that you're trying to learn. Like right now, it's about starting a movement. If you're trying to start a movement right now, create a plan for it. What are the top five things that you need to do to advance your movement? What are the top five things that you need to do to get your mind right for that movement? You can list all those things inside the plan. And that's just a thing that you can get really comfortable and get really used to doing. So in this Q3 plan, like, I'm even doing things where and I and I keep everything that is really private inside of the sidebar here. So if I click this, it would open up the sidebar for things that I'm doing. So I had self evaluations for how the first half of the year went, and then I build other systems for doing peer evaluations for the rest of the teams inside here. So 10 people that I'm peer feedback to, the leadership that I'm trying to grow in, the things that I'm reviewing, the things I'm advancing the things that I'm innovating on, the things that I'm coaching and venture and all the other things that I'm working on in Q3, I just have it listed out. And you can also use your plan and a lot of things I'm also planning, like literally Bridewell, which my last name a family estate. We're trying to really architect and build what our future looks like for generations to come. What are we trying to do for our family? You could build your plans for pretty much just about anything. We even had a plan for our trip to our planned trip to Durango. Business plans. You can do weekly meal plans, you can do development plans. You can do plans on just topics and then come in and you can set reminders about these things so that you can get that encouragement to come back and practice those things. So the plan tool is not just a to do list. It is a growth system builder that you can create. You set reminders, you can set due dates and so you get after it. So I hope that was super helpful. Let me just check the chat, make sure everybody's on the same. Yeah, not. Okay, quick question. So there's a question. I'm gonna jump into this just because you're here. Let's go. So I have a Friday finishers template which I overwrite, but often the top three items revert back to the previous text. Do I need to be creating a plan each time? If you're creating I, I wouldn't create new plans for the same things. If you're the same content in there, I would just set reminders and I would check em off the list and then I would just leave em in there. We do have some iterations that we're working on around the plan where you can set recurring plans. You can set or reset a plan if you check all the plan off the list. And then the third one would just be duplicating your plans. But I would try to keep your system super clean if you're writing a new plan. So Marlene, Marlene's test. You create that plan. I just want to remind you that you do have to hit like return on your keyboard so it saves. So B, C. And if I come back in here and make an edit. So I'm saying this is a my A list. I have to hit return. Just saves and then it saves. Hands off. All good. Thanks, Matthew for the tip. Yeah. The team here is so amazing. All right, sweet. We've talked about our dashboard, our journal, our life score plan. Now let's dive Challenges and then we're going to slowly get towards. Because I have a couple things that I want to share with you about how I think about these, like creating flow for any of the projects you're working on, creating harmony with your team, creating those additional like those additional abilities. Like we are going to be jumping into like building consistency and quality. So stay tuned because that's coming really soon here. Okay, Paul had a great question around how to set up notification reminders so it pings you on the phone. First things first, Paul, we need to make sure that you have enabled your notifications on your phone, like in your phone settings. The second thing that you got to do is make sure that you go over into your notifications and manage your notification. Go to notification preferences and just make sure everything is turned on. That's your. Make sure that all those are turned on. If you turn off your reminders, you're not going to get the reminders. And then the third step that you need to do is you need to go to your plan and then you have two areas that you can set reminders for. You can go to the. That's to set standalone reminders. Standalone reminders are basically like you just want to read about text or you just want to be reminded about like really anything. I have reminders set up for a lot of things. Like for example, I have my four keywords that I like to be reminded about every day at 8am where I like to create, I like to innovate, I like to be inspired, I'm like to be motivated. Those are my internal words. Remember, that's who I am. I'm an inspired person. I'm a motivated person. I want to make sure I'm getting that notification. To do that, you just can come in and you can set up that those reminders like inside the tool by just saying set reminder. And I would say like Paul's reminder and then I would set, okay, do I want hourly, do I want daily? Okay, what time daily? Do I want weekly? Which days of the week do I want to Biweekly, monthly or does not repeat. You have that full capability. And then once you do that, it's. It shows up here and then you're gonna get those push notifications on your phone. And when you tap that push notification, it's just gonna take you back to this notification page. It'll take you back to that state in the app. Now for your other plans, if you do that same thing, you can set a custom reminder. You can go to hourly, weekly, monthly, daily, biweekly or do not, does not repeat and it's going to do the same thing. So you get those reminders. Now on top of the reminders that you get on your phone, you'll also get those reminders inside the app. And if you click the the notification icon, you can come up here. If you want to view all reminders, you can go to the reminders page again. To do that, you can select View all and that's just going to show you all of your reminders that you had set up. These are all going to be push notifications as well. Or if you're attending a live event or my event right here, you can see as started an hour ago and now you're at it. That's how you set up reminders in the app. Paul, hope that was helpful. If you have any other questions, let's just talk them out. Very nice, Marlene. If you're still having trouble, then this might be something that we can take offline and handle through the supportday.com or we can just message me on the community and maybe I can send you a little video as well about how it works. All right. Keeping the ball rolling. When you're thinking about building your notification like strategy, think about like the things that are going to really lift you up and help get you moving in the direction that you really want to be moving in. Maybe it's encouraging thought, maybe it's, maybe it's a reminder to do something for your family or your wife or your kids may think about the triggers that you need that are going to help you like raise that bar, raise that level of leader or role model that you want to be for your for yourself. Think about that. Strategically Challenges were designed specifically to help be your guiding hand for five day adventure in your personal growth. Now there's four. There's actually five different categories. Right now we have Transformation Week, which is our latest and newest. That is like a five day reset with Brennan Burchard thinking helping you think through how to get the most out of a the app because he talks about the app and explains how to get the most out of it. But he also dives into some really deep personal work that you can do in your journal. And also when setting goals, those are those goals and plans are embedded inside the tool so that when you go through the Transformation Week challenge and you start completing journal entries, you start completing plans, those are going to show up throughout the app. So you don't have to always go back to the Transformation Week challenge to be able to access all the things that you write inside of it, it will show up inside your plan, inside your. Inside your journal, which is really cool. That's the ends challenge. Then you have the Identity Shift challenge. The Identity Shift challenge is with Anthony Trucks, one of our seasoned coaches in the platform. And Anthony's really go to is about helping you get that identity shift that you might need. Maybe you've been stuck and stagnated for a really long time and you really need to step it up and just transition into a role or position or an identity that you really want to be living in, because maybe you're not living your best. And this is going to be really help you answer those tough questions as well. Same systems for learning, same systems for training, videos and everything else that we've already went through in the product. Then you have Clarity challenge, confidence challenge, and Mel Robbins High five challenge. If you haven't yet gone through any of these, pick one a month, try to do it, set it up, go through and get that practice. These are gonna really help you, like, build it, just a deeper level of awareness about yourself, but it's also gonna give you the confidence that you need to keep pushing through some of the challenges you might be going through. I wanna encourage you to try those out. All right, cool. All right, I'm gonna move forward to a Learn pillar and then I wanna dive into this. I have a FIGMA file that I want to walk you through. And then I have some slides that are pretty exciting too. All right, so the Learn pillar, the Learn is all about social learning and growth and on demand training. So if you want social learning with other people, like you're in a growth group right now. The Growth groups is a great section for you to learn. Tap into the rest of the community and everything that's going on. Check out some of our awesome growth groups that are already scheduled. And I really appreciate you just being in mine, for sure. And then you have the courses. The courses are a part of the All Access membership, or if you bought standalone courses, and then you have the library, I'm going to zoom back out a little bit. So here we have our growth group master classes, our growth day masterclasses. You have all the other content. So if you scroll down the bottom, you can just see all the other types of content that we have in the system. We'll be loading up more and more of these. We're building up a new content strategy right now to bring in even more content to the platform, which is just there's so much content already. But this is going to help just keep diversifying content library and giving you all the content that you need to be able to support you in your personal growth. So that's still coming again and there's a certain model framework for all courses. So you're going to get a video, you're going to get a table of 10 and then after you go through these, you're gonna also see something, what we call a certificate. A certificate of completion is your proof and your ability that you completed this course. You can download it and you can share it like on social media. And then you're also gonna be able to access all your notes and all your comments from the community that are in here. But the great thing is did finish a course, then you can go to your growth profile. So if you go to the very top go to your growth profile you're also going to see once it's loads by my all my personal goals and then at the bottom you'll see all of your achievements for the courses that you did complete. So if I click certificates completion, you're going to see all the courses that completed here. So we got our badges about all the sequences of things that we've done how many times and it's fun. It's pretty fun because as you complete these certificates, we are going to unlock courses and other freebies over time to earn your growth points. All right, cool. And you can see the in progress as well. Now like I hope this was helpful because there's so many enhancements that are inside this app. It takes some time to get comfortable and used to using all of them. But the idea is if you ever get stuck about what to do first, just start the homepage, work through your journal, start with your life scores, your daily, weekly or monthly life scores. Get in there and create a plan for the things that you want to achieve and want to do. Get some additional training and support and to build your confidence and awareness of how you're maybe approaching certain things in your life. There's so many different ways to approach things, right? And we're not trying to say this is the only way to do it. It's just like there are so many opportunities to learn new things and new ways of doing things to help build that confidence so that you can go in and accomplish the things that you want to accomplish. Get after it, go learn some of those new things. If you haven't yet checked out the community and meeting your like minded crewmates, the strivers that are inside the product, one thing I wanted to call out is like you can search for people. I searched for Drew and I came in here and I search so I can see all my, you know, 75 posts. I can see my comments, I can see my spaces. You'll be able to see that in the sidebar. But then like Cindy asked, how do I know about all the things that I'm learning in that case, easy to go to your notes page. So any events you take notes or join, any course that you started, any growth group that you attended, you can sort through all of your notes on those sessions just by click through and seeing them. So it is giving you a chronological order of all the things that you achieved. So you should be able to go back in this way and that way you can see all the past notes from those past replays or you know, what other thing that you're trying to get at you there. So let me make this a little bigger way to see history. The other way is if you go into the alarm pillar and you go to your history here. You can see that in this. And I'll put this link inside the chat for you, Cindy, because this might be helpful for other people too. So if you click this link, you'll see all the courses that you've been watching, but you'll also see the progress in the rewriting of where it is. So we're not showing in displaying the date that you started, the date that you ended it, but we are showing the progress from the bottom green bar at the bottom of the card. What I want strategic with you. Okay. I I walked you through all the app. You got all these bells and bells and whistles, like really impactful things that you can use to help you like just level up your own groc passion. About since gosh, I think I started learning about high performance teams and high performance growth when I was at Lindic and I've been a part of high performing teams like my entire life. Like I was a part of BAS baseball College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia and I started learning about what does it take to build incredible teams. Now I know all of you right now you're part of a team in some right now you have a family team. There are environments that are oriented teams are so critical growth teams app which is like an enterprise experience where if you have a big team, you have 5, 10, 15, 20, 100, 2,000, 10,000 people, they can all get into growth day and that they can have access and metrics and ways to learn about, you know, what everybody else is learning inside the tool so we have an enterprise experience. But what I want to do now is think about what does that high performance system truly look like. And the first thing that I think is so critical actually I'm just going to post them all here and we're going to go through this really fast. Not fast, but we'll go through it. Flow, harmony, consistency and quality. Every team that we work with, we have to understand what is the flow of the team. What is that rhythm. Brendan talks about rhythm quite a bit in our team's process. But it's also rings true for all the high performance teams that I've been on. Linda.com, facebook, LinkedIn, Envision. I've worked on a lot of big tech companies and the thing is like flow is so important to how we get things done and how we move. So what I want to do now is I want to share my screen. Here we go. And I'm going to share tool which I use quite a bit is called figma. The first thing that if you're going to do anything with your team and start learning about how to elevate your team, I'm going to bring this in, see if it's bigger. All right, so what you're seeing here is just a concept or like a system that I want you to think about or maybe you can even take a screenshot or maybe actually inside your notes you can start thinking about, you can write down people and then you can write down all the people that you engage with on a regular flow based. So like your daily activities, your activities, your monthly activities, like the things you do that are negotiable, that you need to, to do every single time that you work with your team, who are those people? And you can write down the people. Okay? Now in my case like I'm thinking about the context of building teams and building services and products, experiences. So it may or may not be relevant like this engineering, business. But I say if you work with a team, you're, you have different disciplines, right? Your responsibilities. What I do is think about all the people that you engage with on a daily basis basis. Business, engineering, design, product, content marketing. These are the people that I engage with every single day. Now, now what I want to do, I want you to think about the needs, the desires, the challenges, people that you every day with. What are some cool things that you are consistently talking with them about, right? That's this basic understanding. I want you to think about what those things are. Then write all that down. You can note it, take notes and journal about it then. Sorry, it's been choppy. I'll work on that. Sorry about that. The second part of this is thinking about the process of what are the plans that you need in order to move your flow and get in flow routine? If you don't have good flow with your team, it might mean that you don't have optimized plans or you don't have a strategic plan to be able to tie everybody, all the things together. You might also need to think about in your process side of things like your craftsmanship and your craftsmanship can work for thinking about, okay, you have a team of the things that you do. What's the quality bar? What's the quality of the things that you do with your team? The things that you do with yourself? Like what's the quality bar look like? What's the standard? Right. Think about your standard. Then it's the knowledge transfer. How do you pass information? How do you throw information back and forth between your team so that they have clarity, so that they feel confident about the decisions or the movement of whatever these are? This is helping flow. It's also helping something what I call design energy. It's also helping you be able to think about, oh, all these people need these things. How am I going to create systems to be able to support them? How do you knowledge. What's your knowledge transfer look like? Then? The bottom three areas here at the bar, very bottom here is thinking about, well, okay, great, I know what my quality bar is. I know what plans I need to be able to get there. I have an ability to transfer information and knowledge so that I have clarity. How am I collaborating with my peers? How am I collaborating with my family? What does that look like? Am I treating my family different than I'm treating my coworkers? Am I treating my coworkers different than I treat my family? Maybe. But maybe there's a way that you can open up your collaborational mindset with your family, with your teams so that you can be able to support them a little bit better. The same thing goes with communication. How are you, how well are you communicating on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with your peers, your team? How are you building clarity around the information that you're sharing and working through with your, with your, your group, your team? All of these things are so critical for when you intake information and milestones with you that you be in flow now. The flow is something like critical for services. So out of all these things that we're doing and we have this nice flow of execution now, what we need is to have harmony. And to build harmony, we need to get into a rhythmic state. And the rhythmic is like thinking about from a Monday through Sunday. What are consistent meetings? What are your consistent rituals? What are your consistent habits that you're going to be focused on? Are you working on your, you know, you getting feedback early in the week. You have your priorities for knowing what you need to do, what you need to execute, and you're working through that. And your momentum, you're working towards clarity. You're getting to your Fridays, your Thursday, Friday, Saturdays, where you're feeling like you're accomplishing things, you're working towards things. We want to get you into harmony. So it feels so good to create, it feels so good to make advancements. And you're still working with your team in a positive way. So it's like supporting everybody. And it's super fun and invigorating and exciting. And so we really want to be able to create that rhythm flow. If you've never done one of these before, this is as simple as going into your notes, writing out Monday through Sunday, writing out all the meetings that are consistently, like, really scrutinize and examine your calendar and think about, wow, how much stuff do I do? I do on a regular basis? And am I preparing for those moments? Am I anticipating the things that I might need? Am I asking the question I need to ask so that I'm not just sitting in a body of uncertainty and not knowing what I need to do? I think those are really important things as well. All right, so on top of building harmony across building flow, we also need something. And the other thing is consistency, right? We're building growth systems. We gotta have. We gotta build like consistency into our wavelength. And when I think about consistency, I'm thinking about just throughout the, like, kind of the Monday through Sunday work that we do, I'm thinking about what creates consistency is knowing your intention, having intention, understanding your priorities, understanding your purpose throughout the week, understanding what is joyful for you, how do you tap into joy? Also tapping into, what are you dedicated to right now so that you can be focused on the right things, how are you practicing those things? What are the outcomes you're looking for and working towards? And on top of those outcomes, like, how are you benchmarking success? How are you evaluating how things are going? We have life scores for that, but you can also do that. You can build custom ones for your team. And then how are you measuring success? What does success really look like? And then the second part of this consistency for me is thinking about, what am I playing? Like, how am I playing in my life? How am I venturing? And then how am I getting back into the cycle of playing? Super important to be able to have your growth systems in check. And this is another growth system to really making sure that I'm tapping in. I know how to do these things on a regular basis. So as homework for this next session, I want to encourage you to think about how you might map out your team, how you might map out your projects, how you might map out your goals. I might map out your priorities and map out your growth. What are you doing from this for the next six months for your growth? What are you doing to really establish really great priorities? Rate quality. So that's like part one of the homework. Part two of the homework is thinking about. I want to encourage you to journal. If you could hear me today, I want you to journal about your top takeaways for today. Like, thinking about, like, why do notes matter? I want you to think about mapping out some of these things that we talked about so you can understand, like, how do I. What does my team look like? What are my projects look like? What are my goals looking like? Building out these things because the from all the teams that I've worked with and coached, it's like the misunderstanding of like in situations is demise of teams. But just asking more questions, even if it's your family, building the confidence and the courage to ask difficult questions and to be able to ask those questions so that you can build more clarity and reduce that uncertainty that you might be feeling. Hey, what's up? This is Drew Bridewell. I just wanted to thank you for attending my growth group and I also wanted to apologize for any disconnection or Internet issues that I had during my growth group. Got it sorted out and got figured out with the Internet company. But just wanted to thank you again. And remember, today we focus on building harmony, learning about consistency, building our rhythms, focusing on quality. And those things are incredibly important as we finish and work towards second half of the year. July is almost done and we got five more months to go, so just wanted to wish you a beautiful rest of your day and thank you so much for attending my growth group and I look forward to seeing you in the next one.
