Drew Bridewell explains how intentionally designing daily and weekly rituals and rhythms increases personal "design energy." He walks through his own week-by-week structure (Monday: priorities; Tuesday: execution/training; Wednesday: people/meetings/coaching; Thursday: focused execution; Friday: finishing and documenting; Saturday: family; Sunday: play and reflection), and assigns homework to map your day, week, and team rituals to improve productivity and harmony.

Your day to day operations is what's going to really just absolutely stun yourself that you can achieve so much more when you dial in your rhythms and a rhythm. Here is an example of like a Monday through Sunday basically plan of how I structure my days. So this is not something that I just like woke up one day and was like, oh, I have this beautiful designed rhythm. This took time, this took effort, this took awareness, this took journaling, this took reflection. You know, by creating these moments where you can reflect and really understand, like, what am I doing mornings, what am I doing midday, what am I doing afternoon? When am I most productive? When do I feel my flow? When do I like want to dive in there and just like talk to people and get in there? When do I need to have more quiet time? When am I going to be training? All of these things should be examined once you kind of work through your mapping exercise. So at the end of today your homework is going to be to map your day. Map your actually not just your day, but map your week and your team's rituals and rhythms and the time. That way you can go back and start understanding how you can increase your design energy on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. So these are really important things and it's really crafted in a certain way on purpose. Like I have my Mondays as a priority day. Rituals of routines of integrating, of getting things going. And I've created meetings and setup to be able to help with that. And then I go into Tuesday momentum where I'm also going to be more execution day. I'm going to be training, I'm going to be executing on things. Then on Wednesdays it's really about people. It's all about the people on Wednesday. Clarity and meetings and one on ones. That's all it's going to be about. It's all about coaching and helping people. Thursday it goes back into this execution mode where I get to quiet, I get to execute, I get to have a ton of fun and just crush. It's my Thursday lineup. Then Friday it's about all finishing strong and finishing and documenting for the upcoming week and recording and executing and reflecting on that. Then we go into Saturday, which is like all about family day and just advancing those family priorities, those passions. And then Sunday is like my playtime participate. Like I get to do things with my kiddo and then practice and then reflect again and then I'm ready to do it again. And this feels really good to me. This feels like harmony. And I want you to try to find what yours is when you start thinking about your design energy, Sam.
