A short Practical UX Weekly episode (hosted by Drew Bridewell) introducing sketching as an essential daily UX practice. The host explains how sketching helps externalize ideas, validate others' concepts during meetings (e.g., whiteboarding with product managers and engineers), mentions personal tools (sketchbooks, preferred pen), and directs viewers to his Lynda.com/LinkedIn Learning author page and social channels for more.

Hey everyone. Drew here from Practical ux weekly on lynda.com and LinkedIn learning. This week's episode is about sketching in UX. Now sketching is a daily activity for me and my peers. It helps us get ideas on the paper and it helps us make sure we're understanding what other people are saying in our meetings. For example, a product manager or an engineer has an idea, but if you're whiteboarding and sketching out the idea during the meeting, you can make sure and validate their thoughts and ideas and this can go a long way. So this episode is to help you get started or help you get a refresher on sketching in UX. Now. I love sketchbooks. I take these everywhere with me and I have a favorite pen as well. And these things I don't leave home without. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, comments, or if you get something out of it. I'd love to hear from you and everyone. If you haven't yet checked out my weekly series on Lynda.com and LinkedIn learning, then today's the day. You can just go to lynda.com drewbread b to go to my author page.
