What is Personal Development?

Drew Bridewell introduces a 12-week growth series built on three pillars: aliveness, connection, and meaningful pursuits. He walks through the Growth Day app's features and a four-stage loop of reflect, plan, train, and learn, then explains how to use plans and rituals to sustain progress.

Welcome. Hey everybody, let's go. I might have seen some of you at the Growth Day Live conference in Austin. It was so much fun and finally got back and I was traveling for a couple weeks, went to a couple trips and both at a conference and then I had a week off vacation. So now we're back at it, we're getting it back into the rhythms and I'm super excited today to talk about 12 week series. And this means that even if you need to take off a week, every single week on Thursdays, I'm going to be coming in and teaching you, going deep into the Growth Day app. I'm going to be talking about each of the different pillars. Today's kind of big giant overview just to cap these things off. But what I really want to do, especially with Brendan talking about going ultra my job as far as like product and experience goes, product and design. I'm really, we're really pushing hard this year to especially finishing off the Q2 roadmap. Just really delivering a ton of value for y'. All. And I'm so pumped to, you know, talk about some of those updates today, but also just let you know that we are gonna, we're all gonna be growing together, we're all gonna be going through this next evolution of ourselves and it's just gonna be a fun time. And today what I wanna do is I have a couple of prompts that I wanna be working through with you today and we can use the chat for this and then if there's questions and you want to come up on stage and we can talk about those things too. If you have questions about the app in the experience or anything inside of Growth Day, if this is even your first time using growth groups or Growth Day, then I'd love to know in the chat as well. But my job here today is to really set you up for success over the next 12 weeks and get you in the mode of building your growth systems with me and building your growth systems with birthday and really just getting confident with the personal development process, the personal development workflows, like how you have these ambitions, you have these dreams, you have these desires, like how are you going to execute them but are you going to do it in harmony with race and a really good solid rhythm. So that's what it all, that's what I'm talking about when I think of growth systems and you know, on we're on this path too of really creating like better growth loops for each other and growth loops for ourselves. And I'll talk a Little bit about growth loops today. So what's up? Samuel? Welcome. Rebecca, welcome. Cool. Let me just check out the chat real quick. And we're going to get this show going. So first I would love to know, for this growth group for the next 12 weeks, you can invite anybody and it's going to be free. It's a free growth group. Bring everybody in. So awesome. This is super free. Super cool. All right, so the first thing that I want to get the ball rolling is just talking about personal development and it's its own right. So first I just would love to know, like, got you. What brought you? So my first question to you all, and you can write it in the notes and then drop it in the chat just so you have it documented, is what brought you into growth day or just personal development? I got the question in the chat and let's think about it for a second. What brought you into growth day and what got you into personal development? And I'll start just to get the ball rolling and get you thinking about it for yourself is for me, I think the first time that I got into personal development, I didn't even know I was in personal development. My wife had. She literally been coaching me because I was in a relationship with her and she's helping me grow, grow in my communication. And you know how I got into design? I went to design school. But like, still there's so many things that I needed to learn about like relationships and getting. She's older than me. She's a lot more. I would say she's a. She was a lot more mature than me at the end. I had to learn a lot about relationships. And I think I've just started observing that this was when I was like my freshman year of college, so long time ago. And. And just like really learning about, like how to become a better person. So I think it started there, but then when I was in college and I learned that I had to like, really good at software and get really good at tools that I was going to use to be able to design a career or get a career in design. That's when I really stepped into online learning. And then that's when I think it was like, oh my gosh, like, I gotta become an incredible executor. I gotta become an incredible communicator. I gotta become an incredible collaborator. And then it was like online learning. Lynda.com that's where I started personal development. It's like, interesting, right? We all come in different ways. You hear something that really speaks to Us that connects to our heart, and then we're like, okay, yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna step into this, and I'm gonna make it better. And I think that's the beauty of this. And one thing that. That we talked about at the conference a lot if. I know if you weren't. If you weren't there, is we talked about, like, these three different areas of personal development that really help us connect, that really help us thrive. Aliveness is the number one thing. When you wake up every day, when you go to sleep, do you feel like you're alive? Do you feel like you're going and doing things? Do you feel like you're moving your life forward in the direction that, you know, feels great, that also feels like you're achieving and fulfilling things? So aliveness is number one. The number two thing is connect. Connectiveness, like, being connected to people, being connected to things that you care about, being connected to a community, just connection, like people connection is so important when you're thinking about personal development, because we're not doing this alone. Just like in this growth group, right? We're together. We're building things together. And the third one is this beautiful thing that I think I resonated with so much when I heard Brennan talk about this for the very first time. And that's meaningful pursuits. And the meaningful pursuits part is so much fun because, like, I was an athlete growing up, so our meaningful pursuits were like, win a championship. Our meaningful pursuits were like, get stronger in the gym, design school. It was like, deliver and solve the problem of the business. What's the problem in the business? What problem are you trying to solve? So, like, in my mind, I was constantly trained. Trained to solve problems, to figure out where we're currently at, like, benchmark where we're currently at, and then get better and through those meaningful pursuits. And that's one thing that I think you're going to learn throughout these entire growth systems workshops that we're going to do together here is, like, really understanding how do you build and develop and design your own growth systems so that you can operate at another level, so that you can operate more effectively, more efficiently, and have some frigging fun doing it. Like, it's. It should be fun. And I think, like, with the challenges, with the plan, with the journal, with the benchmarks, with life scores, with courses, all those things is, like, why we built this tool so it's all in one place so you can have those growth moments together with each other. So it's pretty cool. So that's number one thing, right? We're setting the tone for like, personal development. I think the next question that I want to drop is like, why is personal growth. I'm going to type this out real quick and development important. Why is it important? You're taking time to spend here. We are in this session for another 50 minutes. But you made the decision to be here. You made the decision to show up in Growth Day today. You made the decision to RSVP to this group. Maybe you attended one of my other previous growth groups in the past. So you found value at it, which I hope you have found value at it. If this is your very first time in growth, you're head of product and design here at Growth Day, I helped build and found this, this ecosystem and helped build this up with, in the team. And you've seen it from shipping it to beta to shipping the version one. And now we're really taking off and building every single pillar of this product. We're going to make it better and we're not going to stop. We're going to make it better for you every single quarter. I think it's like, how do we build the systems of personal development that work through those things? Right through elevating your peer group to just doing the fundamentals, which inside the app, the fundamentals are journaling every day, learning how to really shift and tweak a little bit of those just basic personal development fundamentals, which are things that you think when we're growing up, we don't know what those things are. We don't know about the research, don't know about the, you know, high performance habits and the research that from Brennan's studies in that high performance habits book. So I think a lot of the times, like, we don't know what we don't know, but the reason, the fact that you're here, right. Is this a great thing? And that's. I think it's the important thing that you want to get better and just having that, that, that baseline and that starting point, it's kind of. Because then it's going to open up the gates and open up the doors and unlock another level or another version of you, which is, it's where we're going. That's what we're trying to do. Cam, thank you for that too, because it's worked for me too. Like, I love using it. Think like I have a couple apps open on my browser, which I have quite a bit right now from a tooling, design, product perspective. But I always have Growth day open. I always have it open. I have it open in the morning. I'm not going to my email first. I'm going to growth day first and I'm going to the daily fire first. I'm really connecting to my intention first. I'm connecting to building the habits of my growth systems. And I'm going to show you and talk to you about that today. Ah, okay. Yeah. You know, there's a lot of. There's a. There's a. There can be a lot of. There'll be a lot of challenges we all face in different areas of our life. And I think just knowing that, like, even if it's a tough day today, we can make it a better day. Working through these things together and journaling about these things. So it's pretty cool. All right, so that's the number two thing. Just getting the wheels turning. Okay. The next one that I want to come to you with is like, why? What are we striving for? So we kind of like, why personal development is kind of important. Right. It's going to help us cut through challenges. It's going to help us become a better version of ourselves. It's going to help us with our relationships and our connections and our meaningful pursuits, feeling alive. It's all good stuff. But why? And what are we striving for? And this is exactly why we created the growth profile. The growth profile is a place for you to put a marker. And if I actually go to the growth profile right now, I'm going to do that for you. So if you want to follow along, you can click your avatar up in the very top right hand corner. And you will not kick you out of the growth group. You're in the growth group, so it will give you a little mini player. And you can see it actually on my screen because I'm sharing my screen. And then what you're seeing over here is my big why and my big focus area. So if I click into this right now and I click anywhere on my growth profile, you're gonna see a little header banner, which you can create. One of my big. My big things that I'm striving for. Like, I'm here to build better teams, routines, habits, products, teams, services, systems, harmony. That's kind of my, in a sense, my mission and my vision for myself. I want to do this for myself, family, I want to do this for my friends. I want to do this for the products that I support and products I build. So I'm putting that out there. And this is a Private space, right? Nobody else can see this. You're seeing it right now because I'm sharing my screen. But then, then the next big thing. And Simon Sinek has a big book about the big why. Actually, there's a lot more research out there about like helping people when they can define their why, helps them have a, have something that they can tap into every single day. And that's a really important part of personal development because that's gonna help you bring in necessity in your life, which is also one of the high performance habits. And that necessity is what's gonna allow you to. When you're feeling super tired, when you're feeling super distracted, when you're feeling just tired or frustrated, when you can come back and reconnect to your big why, it allows you to remember like who you are and what you stand for and why you do what you do. So for me, I think one of my big whys is just continuously to learn and to connect and take care of my mind, my body, my spirit. All right? That's what I'm going to do. Second one is I want to support the people that I love, the team I strive with, and the outcomes that I'm shooting for. I want to make Growth Day the absolute world's best personal development app in the world. Like, I love it, I love it and I want to contribute to it. I want to make it better. I want to make sure that the people that work on it and actually all of you drivers are having a great experience when you're in here and you get that feedback about how to make it better, we really take that to heart and we really think about how can we take this feedback and make this product better? That's a big part of my internal guidance system, my big why. And I just want to continue knowing what that is. So my third one, I want to accelerate and advance people in achieving their goals, their dreams, their ambitions, and building and loving and supportive family environment. We homeschool our son. It's a, it's a ongoing effort and you've had an incredible journey and we've traveled across the country, we've traveled and done so many great things with you and it's just like we have to continue working on things. We have to continue improving how we, how we handle certain situations and how we grow. Because 8 year old, a 5 year old, a 3 year old, 13 year old, it's so different. And you know, we're educating ourselves and reading books and learning about how we can be better parents and building more Confidence in how we can do that, especially with tech, especially with AI, especially with social media and all the things that are available to kids these days, we have to be extra aware of those things. So to encourage you to go in and, you know, again, develop high performance teams and work through, I want, I just really want to challenge you today to go in and reconnect to your growth profile and come up with your big why. And if you struggle with these things, then you can come back and come through and you need to build more clarity around, like, what is your big why? And you can come in and pick your focus areas and you can save this and you can even come back in and write your goals and you can come in and see your achievements. Right? We built this growth profile so that you have that visibility to come in and really just reconnect to come back here so that you can reconnect to what you're striving for, why it's important. So I hope that's helpful to get the wheels turning, get it going, getting it going. So does everybody, Is everybody caught up speed right now? What are you striving for? You got something maybe written down, your notes, you got an idea about this? It's your business, it's your family, it's your company, whatever it is, your team, think about what you're striving for. And y', all, we call all of our members here at Growth Day strivers. So you're getting a taste of like, well, what is it? What is it for me? All right, so we got an idea. We checked out the growth profile. We're talking about, like, what is personal development? How do we get into it? Why is it important? What are we striving for? I think another important thing when you come into a platform like this is to understand what type of support, feedback, intention do you want to bring? When you step in and you hit an app.groveday.com what kind of support are you looking for? What kind of intention do you have coming into the room, coming into the product, coming into the environment? And what kind of like feedback or support are you looking for? I think this is a really important thing because it's going to help point you in the right direction. Now, obviously, Growth Day is a platform, it's an ecosystem. It's not just one thing. It's not just journaling. It's not enough. It's not just course learning, like on demand learning. It's not enough. It's not just growth groups. It's not enough. It's not Just life scores and benchmarks. It's not just planned. Right. The whole reason why it's an ecosystem is because when you're growing and developing, you need to be able to connect your growth loop. And the growth loop is. Right. It's like reflecting. You're planning, you're taking action or training, and you're learning. You're going through this growth loop. And this growth loop is important because, like, inside of that window of reflection, we have a couple ways that you can reflect, right? You can reflect through benchmarking with life scores daily, weekly, or monthly. We give you those touch points because, like, I sweat daily touch points to reconnect to the top 10 high performance habits. Understanding how you're progressing across all 10 categories. It's a great checkpoint. It's a great way to, like, like, am I doing this? Am I even, like, thinking about these things? Oh, wait, I haven't thought about my relationship or I haven't thought about my friendships or whatever. It is a long time. The questions from the benchmarks allow you to do that. So really, really tie into, like, just right there for you. And it was designed there so that you have those touch points. Same thing. So that's reflect, right? And then we also have the journal, right? 20, 30% increase in your productivity and your overall decrease of stress and depression or any other challenges that you're facing. Journaling and releasing a lot of those words and trying to reflect back on, like, really what's happening in my life right now and how am I observing it? Because you, you are not like, all the emotions that you feel throughout the day, you're not just those emotions. Like, you are. You're way more than that. And coming in and having a journal practice where you can reflect back on, like, oh, I had this meeting today, and I noticed that the energy in the meetings weren't. Wasn't very good. Like, people were tired or people were be frustrated. Maybe people were concerned about something. Why were they concerned or why were they frustrated or why were they tired? Okay. And then you take a step back and be like, well, you didn't have a plan for the meeting. We didn't have learning goals for the meeting. We didn't have objectives we didn't have. People weren't prepared for that meeting because they didn't know why we were having that meeting. There's so many different things that you can think about right, when it comes to meetings. But, like, if you have a journal open and you're reflecting on those things, it's a great way to Use it. The same thing goes for. If you don't know what to write about and you don't know what questions to ask, then you can tap back into the journal and be like, okay, all right, we got this journal. We got 1500 writing prompts that can help guide you in shaping and tweaking and redirecting those thoughts so that you have direction, so you have guidance, so you have a little bit more intention with what you're writing about. So I think that's a really good thing. So that's this reflection, right? If we go to the next phase of the growth loop for building your growth systems, we got the plan tool. So after you've taken the stock in your life course and your plan or, or your journal, sorry, then you get to go in and think about what kind of plan and actions am I going to take. Now the cool thing about the plan, which I'm going to tap over into right now and I'll show you my screen and. Okay, cool, I can share this. All right, I'm going to command plus a couple times just so it's a little bit bigger on my screen. And I'm just gonna chat. Okay, cool. Everybody following me so far, so super helpful refreshers and personal development, everybody. Just let me know in the chat if you're following along and if you have any questions so far. All right, so now I want to give you a little taste of a plan. Plans can be anything you want and we made it super agnostic so you can architect your own plans in many different ways. I have a Q2 plan right here, super high level. I have a Durango plan, I have a business plan, a weekly meal plan, development plan. And these are other examples of things that you can do. You can write these in any which way you want. All right. Keeping this going. So for every plan, we put in a certain framework for you. Because when we come to planning, I could have all the reflections in the world, you can have all the life scores in the world. But if you're not taking action, then you're missing a part of the growth loop. But if you're also not taking meaningful, intentional and purpose driven action, then you're missing a lot of opportunities. And I'm all about like optimizing opportunities because, you know, designer and I think about systematizing things. I think about like little inefficiencies. Like everywhere I'm thinking about it, I see it and I want to make it better. And I think the same way about how we show up and about how we plan things. It can change the game for how you show up and do things. And for me, working with a highly effective, high performing team every single day, I gotta be 10 to 15 steps ahead of everyone. And you gotta think about like what, 10 to 15 steps ahead of everyone, how do you do that? It's about knowing the priorities of what your team is doing. It's about knowing what the challenges and struggles and obstacles that your team is going through. It's about knowing the roadmap and the priorities of the company and the team and the business. It's about knowing the market and knowing what's happening in the market. The same thing goes for like it's your family or if it's something that you do in your business, okay, what is that ecosystem look like? And then what am I going to do to design frameworks around to support it, to make it better. And it's just about increasing your awareness. And I think plan is a great way to bring all that awareness and all that attention into one place and to start working from that system so that you can start making better outcomes. So for Q2, I had three big things that I wanted to focus on is staying intentional and focused on what matters most. 2. Elevate my leadership, execution and communication. Because I don't just want to get all this work done, I want to elevate my leadership. The way I execute, the way I communicate. I want to elevate my systems, my rituals with the team. Some things we need to remove, some things we need to optimize because we growing team, right? When you add two to three new people on your team, a lot of things change. You have to delegate a little bit more because they're taking over some of those responsibilities or they're leveling up the quality of the output that you're creating. And then you gotta design some systems around that. So it's like constantly thinking about systems, rituals, routines and habits. Then I got these like new starts. So this is like my quick system for like obviously I don't do all of my company planning for our projects and our product execution inside of growth day because it's not designed for that. This is designed for me and my growth systems. It's designed for my plans, not for to share with like 50 or 60 other people. But I'm sharing it with you today because you're in my growth group and we're learning together. So that's what it's all about. So let's check the chat real quick. Oh yes. So Kim, great question. The Question just for people who are re watching. This was a, there was a suggestion to make plans linked to the calendars and we do have this in our vision for how we can connect integrations with your growth groups and with your plan and with other elements that have calendar related things so that you can link them up to your, your Google calendar or your I calendar. So we, we do that, know that there's opportunities there that really benefit our community. We're going to be exploring those things and exploring how we can make that really good. Just doing, going to be doing design discovery. So that will come later. Cool. All right. Keep the feedback coming though, because those insights are really helpful for other people who are coming into the tool and seeing like, oh, that would be really helpful. And then if they're also thinking that could be helpful. Right? We're going to learn together, we're going to grow together, we're going to build together, we're going to execute together. Gonna make it happen. All right, so something that I am very consistent with is for new things or new quarters. We're about halfway through the quarter. Yeah, close to halfway through the quarter. Q2. I still wanna know, like, there are new starts, new projects, new relationships and new ambitions and things that are gonna be coming out of this. Out of this quarter. We had the growth a live event. I had a front Utah conference where I was speaking publicly about keynote, but I had and that was like an ambition that I had. I built new relationships from it and from that I'm like, oh, there's some new projects that we can do to really help the overall product. Things that I learned from that case study conference, also things that I learned from the growth day conference that I want to implement and practice and really important to team. So there's all these new things. So this is a part of my checks where like, what are the new things? And then I'll create another plan that dives in deeper into that. The second one is relationships, projects, meal plans. I'm maintaining. So things that I need to relationships that I need to maintain, projects that I need to maintain, meals that I need to maintain. Cook and execute. Just knowing, oh yeah, what are those things? Got it. You got it. Okay, good. I have that intention. I can move through it. The next one is like future planning, like vision projects and vacations. Like, okay, what are the next vacations that we're doing? What are the next projects that we're planning? Scheduling. Gotta know what those things are. The next one is around April. We had the Austin live event. We had featured dashboard. So if you have seen it, if you are an All Access member, you'll see Ed my let on Mondays show up on the dashboard. Only on Mondays from morning until midnight, you will see Ed show up and do a Monday motivation. And it's super fire and it's super worth it. That's for All Access members. Then in May, like I just got off the vacation and now I'm working on the next round of features and implementations and things that are going on. And then in June we have like MVP of something new coming out and then more features and then we're also traveling and. And then you have this big bucket of growth day which is a lot of other things underneath which I'm not going to dive into that. But if it's your first time using the plan, you can see that there are these little numbers. That's those mean that there's sub items. So if you wanted to go into a sub item, then you can just hover over the element and click the arrow and that will open up a sidebar and that sidebar allows you to add subtasks. So I can just be like relationships. A, I'm saying like a B and I could just go in and fill these things out. Really simple. You can set due dates and set reminders. Very straightforward. But again, a foundational thing that you can use when you're trying to build a plan, build a structure, trying to figure out like, oh well, how can I use my plans to really benefit me? And you can do that by just starting with building your foundations of your systems. You can think bigger and then break them down into smaller chunks. Or if you just want to literally have a list, a to do list or a Friday finisher list, you could do that as well. But the thing is like when I introduce or when I come in and I use my plan, I want to spend more time thinking about the intention in less time just writing out a hundred different line items of things that I need to do because I don't want to have to come back in a hundred times and recheck all those different things. I'm trying to build intention. I'm trying to build really great systems. That way I can repeat those systems and build habits from those systems. And we are going to be introducing some new technology to the plans that will allow you to make them recurring. You can get reminders for them recurring. But if you want a recurring plan where you do the daily plan every single day and you check them off, that's something we're Working on. If you wanted to be able to have a duplicate plan, you want to duplicate that plan, great, you can duplicate it. If you wanted to share it with your friends or family member or something, you can share that with member. We're also working on other things, like be able to create templates from your plans too. So we're in discovery for a lot of these things, but we're figuring out, like, the best ways to operationalize it, make it really incredible for you. And I think that's really important to also continue giving us feedback. You can hit 8 on your keyboard and give feedback about things that you love, things that you wish were better. Okay, so I'm going to come back to Reflection Journal. We talked about the other part of the growth loop, which is planning. There's another one about training and practicing. I think I bucket these things into different training and practicing because there's things that you're learning. Like, this month is about adversity and overcoming failure. And so far, Brendan went live, Lisa Bilyeu went live, Coya Webb went live. And if you haven't yet checked these out, you gotta be a pro member to go back in and watch the replays for this. But they're incredible. They're incredible sessions because you're getting seven or eight completely different perspectives about working through adversity and failure, which is something we all go through in our life, right? Failure, adversity, lots of things happen. And I think this session is really pretty incredible because there's a lot of things going on in the world right now and you have these challenges and it's great to know the frameworks and ways that you can. Questions you can ask and different mindsets and different perspectives on how to work through them. Now, I say that because training is important, right? You just don't automatically get these skills. They just don't like just from time, spend time and get skill. You know, you have to practice the skill. You have to train. You have to come in and be like, I'm in training mode, I'm in learning mode, I'm in practice mode. But, you know, listening and observing and taking notes is not the same as doing the thing. So practice is doing the thing. But sometimes you might be like a novice at doing the thing. You might be like, even like lower than. You might be like really poor at doing the thing. That's okay. I know that we all have been in a place where we just didn't know a skill. And we got. We did it once, we did it twice, we did it 10 times. We did it a hundred times, we did a thousand times. And hey, guess what, it's muscle memory now. And we're doing it kind of like brushing your teeth, driving the car, throwing a baseball, hitting a baseball, whatever sport your sport was or whatever your practice is. But we have to practice these things. And I think when we think about personal development, it's like already knowing, like your mindset. If you can have that mindset where you're like, yes, I know I'm gonna have to practice this. I know I'm have to train for this. You just know it going in. So you're not surprised that you're not very good at something. You have to practice. It makes total sense, right? So we gotta practice, practice. So we have reflection, we have planning, we have training or we have planning, we have training and practicing. So what can you do in the product to train and practice? You can practice coming in every day and listening to the Daily Fire. You can practice after you listen to Daily Fire or during the Daily fire, open up your journal and take notes about you two or three things that you learned from that session or things that you're going to apply and practice and then start doing it that day. You can come in and go over to a challenge with four different challenges. Right now you could go in and be like, this month I'm going to take a challenge. I'm going to. If I already took one, I'm going to retake it. I'm going to practice giving myself some a high five in the morning with Mel Robbins. Or I'm gonna be like, I'm gonna build up my confidence with Brendan, or I'm gonna build up my clarity with Brendan and his challenges. Or I'm gonna, I'm having challenges with my identity and trying to really shift into the person that I really want to be and become. Then I can go check out Anthony Trucks challenge. And so you got four different ways to really ignite and to do it with other people. And you can do those for free with your friends, family. They just have to have an account and they can come back into the tool. So super powerful. So we're still practicing and inside of practicing, let's go over into the learn pillar and I'm going to share my screen again. So now I hit the Learn tab and just as a pro tip and key tip for you as you're in here. If you click 6 on your keyboard, it will take you to learn. If you click 5 on your keyboard, it will take you to challenges. If you click four on your keyboard. It'll take you to the plan. So the 1 through 8 are all active inside the left sidebar. So if you're getting quick with the tools, you can just be like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 and you can get to the spot really quickly. So just to orient yourself with training, right, Training is a practice. Training like doing it is a like showing up as like show for your 6am workouts or you're going to show up for this growth group. It's a workout we're getting a workout in right now. We're doing our personal development work. You can also get that work done on Wednesdays if you like. Those social interactions with our big time speakers and keynote speakers charge like 50k for keynote companies is wild. You can come in and get that experienced if you want to do that. Or you can come in and experience it with our other members in the platform who have such great advice, who have such great experience to share and that are facilitating some incredible growth group experiences. I think Kim's here today and Kim's been doing that as well. Like so a lot of great people really participating and really adding a ton of value to the platform. Now you can come through and you can see the official workshops. These are like the ones that are sponsored by Growth Day. And then you have how to schedule so you can come in and actually schedule a growth group. You can put the name, you can set 30, 60 minutes. If you're a starter member, you get five free for the whole year. If you're a pro member you get 10 or all access you get 10 for the whole year. And then we have these hosting plans where if you go above that you can pay for like kind of a hosting plan similar to any other SaaS product where you know, you pay to be able to have over 120 sessions. 120 sessions. And then we're going to be adding more features to enhance that growth group hosting experience as well. So you can make a public private video audio and then you can do that. This is exactly how I set up these recurring sessions and I just like set it up to be weekly on Thursday at 1pm my time. And then I can see that I'm live right now in the session. You got 15 people RSVP and hopefully we can get that up more and more. I just started posting about it and I got some other meetings coming up. So you can see all the sessions that are up and coming. This is all training opportunities. Right Then if you're going to go deep and have Some more on demand sessions, right? You have the courses which are just really exceptional courses that you can just watch with a masterclass series. Masterclass series is pretty new. So with these packages of content, wealth habits, Masterclass was the latest one that we just released and going back through and watching and learning about like wealth, great wealth habits. And then for all of these courses, we typically put like really detailed notes and descriptions underneath the video. So you can get tons of value from that. If you don't have courses or all access, then you can watch the first video of all the courses for free just to see if you like the courses and the style of courses and then you can purchase it if you really like it. There's upsells in the product to ups to upgrade to do that anytime you want. So great. We got our growth loop going. We got plan reflection or I'm sorry, reflection and journaling. We have planning, we have training. And I'm drawing, I'm putting my hands up in quadrants because I think of this as like, like a figure 8. If you've seen me draw my growth loops in the past, they're figure eight. Top left is journaling, reflecting down the bottom right is planning. Top right is training and practicing. And then down the bottom left is just like you're in a learning environment, you're continually learning and you got our, our social community, which is really great. And we're going to be improving this too over the year. But this gives you a really big taste of what you can do inside the platform. And if I. It's not going to let me play the video right now because I'm in a growth group. So just tell me. This experience also allows you to do timestamp notes. So if you are taking notes, it will timestamp the moment that you took the note and then you can go back and see that timestamp notes. And there's also comments that are more like public comments for you as well. Oh wait, you're not seeing my screen. Let me come back to you. So here we go. I was just showing you the notes and it gives me that little timestamp. I haven't started the video so that's why it's at 00 and I can still see my outline. I can come back to my courses and then I got all my courses and then there is a view all where you can see all the other courses. So I know you all know this. So I'm gonna stop sharing my screen and we're gonna jump back to let's Just jump into some Q and A because I went through growth loop I went through a foundation of personal development. I'd love for you to raise your hand if you have any questions or if there's things that you want to focus on for the basically the last last 18 minutes of the session. And I think it's really important to like recap is talked about like I were here. What is personal development? What are we gonna get outta this? We were trying to be alive. We're trying to connect to our aliveness. We're trying to connect have connections with people like really positive engagement and just healthy relationships with people connections and we also want to strive with to meaningful pursuits. And at the middle of that circle or the middle of that triangle is actually growth. And that's what's going to help you keep building your growth systems here along with the growth loop that I explained. And then next, next week we're actually going to dive into deep dive of journaling and how I've used it throughout the last couple years and how it's going to just be just. Just a power tool for you. Power tool for you. I'd love though if you have any prompts questions please feel free to put it take a second to write them in the chat. So if you're a starter or a pro member then you should see five free growth groups in your host in your accounts. Now if you're not seeing those then you can email supportday.com and just mentioned hey I am a starter member or a pro member or an all access member and I'm not seeing my growth groups. But you might have them in your if you go to schedule your growth groups and you can see at the bottom how many you have and I can show you that if you need extra eye on it. Thanks Alita. Okay cool. So I'm going to share my screen and I'm going to come over to learn killer and then I'm gonna go back to growth groups. I'm gonna scroll down to wanna host your own growth group and I'm gonna click this button and then you'll scroll down a little bit more and you'll see how many growth groups you have right underneath the room. Details. So do I use the plan part for my daily must dues? Can you give me an example of what your daily must dos are? I use the plan tool for higher level objectives, higher level systems and building systems. So like top three things I need to accomplish for today. I have a journal that I'm like I write in and it's like my, I'm going through my meetings each day, I'm talking about like the top things I need to do and accomplish with the people that I'm meeting with. But when I first was starting and using growth day and plans, I was using it for a lot of different things like that and I was testing it out for me. But for my use cases, I like having to organize systems for what I need to do. So I might be like for my business daily targets, that might be one of my growth systems that I make, my plans that I make. And then inside that I might write like what are the top three to five questions that I need to ask when I'm doing my business daily targets? And then I might be like, okay, we need to make sure what am I reviewing, what am I advancing, what am I like waiting on? And I'd go through those questions and then I'd maybe have sub items for those. But I again, I want to create things that I can reuse. I don't like creating things that are just like dead ends and I don't like doing that because it's taking time for me and investment time for how I'm setting up my systems. So to me, to be super strategic, I wanna make sure that I'm creating systems that I can reuse and then I'll optimize those systems until they're like spot on and right. And then I'll practice them and as they're fulfilling and helping me accomplish my goals and my ambitions and the things I need to do every day, then I know that they're working. But if I have to do a daily business target every single day, I am going to get tired of just writing line items and I don't want to spend time just doing line items. I want to spend more time doing the work and less and building better systems and building the habits around those systems. If you're a pro member, you have 10 free growth groups that were gifted to you and you can host 30 to 60 minute long growth groups. With that, you just go into the growth group section, schedule it and then send and share that on social media, share it with friends and basically get people into your growth group. Yeah. And if you want to host more than those 10, then you can sign up for a growth group hosting plan. Yeah, you want to go back even to my past growth groups, you can go to the community section and then go to the search bar and search for my name and then you'll see on my past posts and you'll See everything that I've written or everything that I've posted in the replays for these sessions. Let's see, let's see. Cool, cool, cool. Yep, yep. Absolutely. My pleasure. I hope you all enjoyed this session today. I'm going to stick around if there's more questions that come up and I'm just thinking about, like, other things that really are helpful. Oh, thanks, Lacy. I appreciate you thinking about things that are going to help me go this, like, ultra new level. Because Brendan talks about, like, on ultra this year and it's like one of his big passions. And I'm thinking same in the same lockstep here. So when we think about what our next level is of our intention, our next level, of our abilities, the next level of our relationships, the next level of just how we show up and interact with people and how we connect with people, think about the thing that's that I've loved the most in engaging with Brendan and engaging with, like, best leaders that I've ever worked with, you know, Facebook and a LinkedIn and@lynda.com and envision the companies that I've worked for in the past. I think about, like, an intention and that feeling that I have from when somebody feels they're super present with me. And I think for me this year, like, when I'm engaging with people, I think the ultra version of myself is like, I want to be calm, really good at being present in conversations, in the relationships that I have. And I just want to level that up this year. When I think about, like, ultra people in my life, that's just something that they've always been really good at. Next week, we're going to be talking about the journal, the high performance, high performance prompts that we have in there. Today I was talking about Liveness, Connection, Meaningful Pursuits. At one of my recent conferences, I was reestablishing this. You know what we talked about today where we're talking about aliveness, connection. This is one of Brennan's frameworks. And I think about this every day. These are things that we're pursuing, we're tapping into, and then also around that you want to think about your ambition, how much ambition, aspiration you have, how much, like, what practices you have to support it, how you're going to be assertive to going after it and making it happen for yourself and then also the peer group that you're working around and outside of that and what's happening outside of those things. For me, it's like really mastering your systems, really mastering, like, how you Think about your systems and how you introduce new systems in your life that are going to support you. Family, friends, products, feedback, planning systems. All the things that you do that are recurring, those are the systems. Then it's like thinking about how am I going to lead myself but also lead other people in a really positive way here. And you know, from a leadership perspective, oh my gosh, like, leadership is such an incredible value that you can bring to your family, you can bring to your team, you can bring to yourself having world class leadership. The other thing that I think is incredibly important is creating rituals. Now ritual is not like these rituals are ways for you to celebrate your wins, celebrate the things that you're doing, celebrate or take action around things and do it with people in meaningful ways. Like Friday shout outs for our team on Fridays to celebrate what we accomplished. The ritual of a Friday finisher was something that Brennan started around. Like, what are five meaningful things that you can do by the end of Friday? Finish em strong. Another ritual might be like, even when I got up to the baseball plate and I would tap the plate, I would connect my, my left foot with my right foot, extend it out, get my posture right, wave the bat two times to left and then come up, rest it on my shoulder and then come up. There's like a ritual to different things that you do. There's a ritual for how you take a shower in the morning. There's a ritual for how you brush your teeth. There's a ritual for how you cook eggs or, you know, breakfast burrito. There's rituals for how you do things. So really master how you do that for yourself. I think it's super fun. And then the whole holistic thing about this is like harmony. All the things that you put in your life, all the things that you do, you don't want to be chasing things. We don't want to be stressed out about these things. We don't want harmony. We want the ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a harmonious way. The teams that we work with, the programs that we define with our growth systems, like everything that we want, harmony. This is a beautiful thing. It's actually one of the words that I have on my bracelet, on my hand. And it's like harmony is something that I just really think is just super meaningful. So I just want to show this to you today. I know it's just such an important thing to really practice and get good at, you know, those things. So. And you just wanted to thank you all for again, for being here today and just for spending the time with me and I hope to see you next week. We're gonna have some fun diving into the journal and then also I'll probably share a couple other practices and things of how I've gotten the most out of it in the last couple years and just really dive deep into it. So hope you all have a really beautiful rest of your day. Thank you team for showing up and we'll see ya in the next one. Feel free to connect with me over in the community or anywhere on social media. I'm over at Bribo on LinkedIn and and through Bridewell on Instagram and would just love to stay connected with y'. All. So have a great rest of your day and I'll see you in the next one.
