Drew Canole and Angie discuss five ways to quiet imposter syndrome: give yourself permission to take up space, use posture to shift confidence, reframe ego as a vessel for something larger, help others to anchor outward, and visualize the impact after your event to dissolve pre-performance anxiety.

If you could literally write yourself a permission slip, what's. What are you going to give yourself permission to do? That's the thing. If this is a movie that you're living in and this is. You're the main character, you're the main actor, what permission are you going to give yourself to create? What. What does it look like? Write that on the sticky note. Imposter syndrome, for me is a syndrome of feeling like it's not possible. Like imposter impossibility. So imposture. We think about posture, we think about the way physical body interacts with the rest of the world, the material world, right? And if our posture is slacking, if we're slouched under, if our physiology's off, then the way we present ourselves to the world can be closed off, too. So when I'm walking through reality, I put my shoulders back, I open up my heart. I allow that connection to the heart to allow that information to come through me. It's not about me. I think when I make it about Drew, the little Drew, the ego, the edging God out ego, then I feel like I'm not at my best. I'm at my best. I'm at my best when I am just a vessel, when I'm a pencil in the hand of God, like Mother Teresa said, right? And I'm connecting to that point often, and I'm just letting it flow because it's not to be taken serious. If you have imposter syndrome, you're taking yourself, your personality, quote, unquote, way too serious.
Everybody has imposter syndrome. Every single successful person I know has. Has imposter syndrome or has had this moment of, who am I to be doing this? And I think if you don't have it, you're probably an alien or you're not dreaming big enough.
Yeah, you're probably an alien anyway, if you're listening to this, because we only talk to aliens.
So you're not dreaming big enough.
Yeah, dream bigger. And when we dream bigger, the bigger dream, the collective dream, we feel more unified. Every single soul that's part of the dream. When we feel like we're separate, when we feel like we're less than, when we feel like there's all these trials and tribulations that are standing in the way from the impossible dream that we have, then we minimize ourselves, we take up less space. So when we open up our arms, when we free ourselves, when we open up our heart and we allow ourselves to take up as much space as possible, then it encourages other people to do it right. Marianne Williamson has the beautiful quote where it's people are afraid of their own internal light. It's the light that you're most afraid of. You're not afraid of your own weaknesses or whatever your mind, your mentality is. It's actually the light that's within sight of you that you're most afraid of.
Yeah.
So who are you to hide your brilliance, the brilliance of God? You're just a reflection, right? Going throughout the cosmos, stardust in a meat suit, soul having a spiritual experience. Who are you to deny that from expressing itself in this time space reality? And it's one of my favorite scenes in Doctor Strange is when she comes to the doc and she's like, it's not about you. But we've convinced ourselves that it's about us. We have these five mundane, limited senses that we just put so much attention in. The human body's a black hole. Are we aging gracefully? Are we strong enough? Are we good looking? Do we have enough money in our bank accounts? Am I loving enough? And it's all from this place of external validation from the, the outside world. And when we start to validate the internal world, when we start to give love to that wounded little inner child, and when the divine child grabs the hand of that wounded child for a second, miracles start to unfold. It's as if the whole universe starts lining up for you and working with you. Every single step that you take throughout the day, it's a whole cadre of angels and other beings are by your side. And you didn't have to do anything. You just had to realize that they've been there the whole entire time. And when you see another human being dressed up in their meat suit having a funny experience, you can laugh at them because that's an expression of source. We don't have to attain knowledge because it makes us heavy. When we re remember what we already know on the cellular matrix of the body, it communicates with the morphogenetic field. Now, I know these words are huge and you're probably not understanding what they are, but you feel it and you know what they're. Because you're re remembering as you're listening to this. So being in those states where it's uncomfortable, being in those states where you feel like, oh God, this is new for me. And I think when we're making it up the best that we can do, and that's all we can do in the moment, then there's no judgment. I think judgment is the imposter syndrome's. Best friend. Because if I can keep the limited, small egoic aspect of Angie judging herself day in and day out, then that's just going to keep me bound to that. Less than that inefficient, that ineffective person in the meat suit versus recognizing their multi dimensional capacity. I mean, it's absolutely insane how special every single human being is and how significant you are. Your thumbprint is completely different than every single human being's. Like your, even your eyes. The greatest HD cameras on the planet. Like the ability to see what we can see is phenomenal. But we don't look at these miracles every day because we're too caught up in our mind. The monkey mind, the trash can mind. It's too noisy.
Yeah.
So when we silence the noise, then we can really turn back to the eternal space. And I think that's the thing too. It's when we anchor it to somebody and helping another person in need when in doubt. Focused out. Right. It allows us to push through the imposter syndrome when in doubt. It's not about our results. It's not about the results that I can create. The result game gets old real fast. The cars, the houses, the physical material world is a black hole and it gets old. Once you acquire everything that you could ever imagine that you could acquire and you have the money to buy whatever you want to buy. I'm living proof of that. Then it's like, what's next? It's just endless. And what never gets old is impacting another human being in such a way to where when you literally traverse through the material realm into the other dimensions and you see that person again smiling at you with tears in their eyes. Hey, thank you so much for helping me out in this life. Thank you so much for teaching me that thing or giving to me when I was down. That's making a life worth living. Because what you're doing is actually it really matters to those other human souls.
When in doubt, look out and don't make it about yourself. When you have imposter syndrome, you're making it about you. What do I look like? Am I smart enough? Am I fill in the blank enough? It's not about you.
One of the things about speaking on stage or know, going into high stress business situations or whatever, if you can put yourself at the end of the meeting of the speech or whatever it is and you can see the faces of the people that you impacted and you can give them hugs in your mind and know that you transformed their life and then you go out on the stage like that, you go into these business arenas with that feeling already in your body. Then all the discomfort, all the imposter syndrome, all of the trepidation and the trials fade away because you've already been there. The brain, the body, does not know whether or not what you experienced as a vision is real or not. So when you already enter the champion of the ring, then you become the champion of the ring, and imposter syndrome just simply fades away.
You are ready.
You are ready.
You are enough.
You are enough.
You are holding the permission slip.
Yeah. So permission granted. Write it down on your sticky note. Permission for what? To live a bigger life. To take up more space. To be bold, to be brave. Unleash the power you know that's in every cell of your body. And just see yourself as the miracle, the multidimensional miracle that you are existing only for a short period of time. It's like a whisper into eternity, right? Like the book. And just know that you are loved every step of the way. Your higher self is looking back at you, looking down on you, looking all around you, knowing that this is your life's work, this is your mission, this is everything that you came here for. It's beautiful.
