What is going on, everybody? Welcome back to the Mind Over Macros podcast. As always, I am your host, Mike Milner. In today's episode, you're going to learn how to turn your vision into your reality. I had Drew Canole from Organifi on the show and this was a really powerful conversation. And I'm just going to tell you, if you are somebody that is okay with living an average life and you don't want anything better for yourself and you don't want to level up and you don't want to see what you're capable of and to pursue more of the things that you love, then you can stop listening right now. Because we really went deep on how to gamify life to get everything that you want out of life. And Drew is full of wisdom. That's the best way that I can describe it and comes from a very unique perspective on his outlook on his life and his journey and how that relates to all of us and how we all are connected and have the ability to get everything that we want from the life that we're in right now. That's what we're going to talk about. And before we get into the conversation, you should already know. You should know the request by now. I shouldn't have to keep asking. It's more of a reminder. There's a saying that most people need to be reminded more than they need to be told. So let this be a reminder that if you gain any sort of value from this podcast, from these conversations, from these interviews, then I need to remind you to spread the love, share it with a friend or family member, leave a five star rating and review on whatever platform you're listening to and subscribe and follow. That's the most important thing above all else. If we're looking at the hierarchy of importance, number one is subscribing and following, and then number two, three, four, whatever it would be, reviews and sharing and posting on Instagram and all that stuff. But first and foremost, like and subscribe wherever you're listening. Leave a five star rating and review. If you want to win a free supplement from one of our sponsors like Organifi. And of course we have our other sponsors, Cured Nutrition and Paleo Valley. But you guys are going to love this conversation. You're going to love this interview. I don't like calling it an interview. As I said to Drew before we hit record, I said, I have no agenda. I don't know what we're going to talk about. Just going to hit record and let it fly and that's usually how I treat these conversations because I find that it's more authentic, it's more useful. Why go in with all of these preset questions? And then it feels very robotic. And I don't know. I figure if the conversation goes in a direction and I'm really interested in diving deeper into one area, then likely there are other people that feel the same way. That's my philosophy, anyway. Take it or leave it. It is what it is. All right, I'm gonna stop rambling. I am going to allow you to hear the words of wisdom from Drew Canole, CEO and founder of Organifi.
All right, what's up, everybody? I am joined today by a very special guest. I have Drew Canoli, the founder of Organifi and just an all around badass individual on the show with me. First of all, Drew, welcome. Thanks for joining me.
Hey, Mike, thanks for having me on. Big fan of yours too, buddy. We've been working together for a while, and I've seen what you've done, the lives that you've changed, and coming on your platform is spectacular. So thanks for having me.
Yeah, of course. I appreciate that. Actually, the first time that I met you in person was at an event in San Diego. I believe it was 2019, and you're speaking at an event that Jason Phillips was putting on. And I remember you had this, like, crazy ability to, like, understand people that you had never met. And it was this wild thing where you, like, pointed somebody out in the crowd and you were like, I bet you that you help people with autoimmune conditions. And she was like, whoa, I've never met you before. And I don't know if you remember that, but is that. Is that something that's always been like, an innate ability of yours, that you have that, like, energetic connection with people Where. Where does that come from? Or, like, when did you first start to recognize that you had that. That ability?
Yeah, it's. I think we all have it. It's not mine. You know, I think it's. When we identify something as ours, it's a lot easier to lose. So in my experience, it's like just. It's. It's being intuitive. It's eating the right food, of course, that you and I talk about. It's removing all the chemicals, the pesticides, the herbicides, the fluoride in our water. It's getting rid of that. It's living off the land. It's lowering stress in our lives. So there's a lot of background stuff that you and I do every day that allows these superhuman abilities that we have to come forth. And I know everybody has their own unique skill set or their own superpower. Mine happens to be putting my energy, literally everything's consciousness, so shifting my consciousness and putting it in another individual to see their story, their life, what their life is like, what they're doing. And it's just part of being an empath, it's part of being super connected. And everybody has that. It's just how tuned in are we to witness the magic that's all around us. And I look at it as a game. Life is a giant game. And if you can just understand the principles enough, you can start to hack it. You can start to use your own code, more or less, and create magic. So thanks for bringing that up, man. I, I forgot that that even happened at that event.
So, yeah, I love it. It was, it was impactful. And I agree. I think you mentioned like, how tuned in are we? And then you kind of alluded to some of the things that might disrupt that frequency. What we're putting in our bodies, how we're moving our bodies. Where did that journey begin for you? Because a lot of people, we, we just go through life with blinders on, head down head. You know, I, I, I say frequently that probably the first 30 years of my life was, was check the box, right? What am I supposed to do? What does society expect me to do? I have to go to college and I have to get a standard job. And even though I was making money as a bartender, I, you know, it wasn't a real enough job. And then I had to go to the corporate, the corporate path. And then I just found myself always, there was always this internal conflict that was happening because I wasn't listening to all of the signals. So what was like the step for you that kind of got you tuned in and recognizing some of the things that were distracting the frequency to be able to feel that level of intuition.
Your audience is going to think, I'm absolutely nuts after this. I'm convinced. And that might be the best thing. From zero to five. I was tortured as a kid and I was abused. So every night I would go to bed as a kid and I would piss myself because my dad was beating me during the day. So I use night as an escape. I started to wake up in my dreams at a young age and I started to realize that my sleeping dream at night was very similar to the awakened dream during the day. And I started to, like I said, life is a game. I started to look at life differently and the things that would present themselves to me and shift it in my mind. And then I would start to see the. When I was awake during the day, it would shift based on my mindset.
Right.
Which is why I love your podcast so much. Mindset Focus. Right. So I would do that at a young age and throughout my life, it just kind of grew from that place. It's like how sensitive, how subtle are these energies that are all around us, and how can I pay attention to it more effectively to make a bigger difference in every single human's life that I come in contact with? So my lucid dream dream became the lucid living that I live today in. And all the principles of removing the environmental toxins and eating right and getting nutrients and micronutrients, all the things we talk about play a part in that. So that's kind of where my journey started at a young age. Of course, all the wounding from dad and mom and all the psychological stuff that you and I have probably studied in personal development. Of course, I had to go on my own journey of not thinking I'm worthy, not thinking I'm lovable, and then seeing how that plays out in relationships and in business, healing that wounded little boy inside of me. And then. It has been a journey, brother, and I'm sure you've experienced similar things to that too, but it is a journey. It is. You can't tune. You can't tune out. You're always plugged in. And there's always another level for you and I to go to in my life. You know, I'm in a big, big turning point right now, even, like, things are just constantly leveling up, and it's. How much attention can we give to that to really do it the way that's for us? You said checking the box, it's like, blow the box up, dude. There is no box. What do you really want in your life? Life is way too short. I've seen way too many people die over the past year, and it has shaking me to my core of, is there anything that I'm doing in my life right now that's not serving me, not serving my fiance? What can I do to shift that now? Because. Because time is way too short.
So completely agree. Well, I. I have a life principle that I've developed over the past couple years, which is I bias decisions that move me closer versus biasing more. Because for a long time, it was always more. When I was on my weight loss journey was more weight. You know, get more pounds off When I started my business, it was more revenue, more money, and now it's, how about I move closer? Move closer to the things that I actually want. And the thing that I'm so fascinated by is how do you help people actually tap into what that is for them? Because I think sometimes there's the external voice, like I said, the societal pressure, the family pressure, or it's a parent, it's a teacher, it's somebody else's external voice that becomes your internal dialogue. So you convince yourself that I want this thing over here that I'm supposed to want. But how do you help somebody actually tune into to what they want, their core values and desires? How do you help somebody to get to the root of that?
I. I'm going to steal this from you because I listened to one of your podcasts a while ago, but it was, you lost weight, you wanted to get under 200, then you wanted to get under 190. And from what I remember, you got to this place in your life where it was like, gosh, what's next? You know, it was like the. The journey wasn't the end destination instead of the end destination left you unfulfilled. So you knew, and this is what I know in my life, is that you need a why. You need a why that makes you cry, is what I like to say, a why that's so compelling, that's wired in your central nervous system, that goes to your prefrontal cortex and sends signals out throughout the rest of your body, alchemizing that whatever it is that you want. So what does it look like? Is a good question to ask. What does my ideal image of my body look like? What do I want to feel in my body? What kind of energy do I want to feel? How much dynamic movement do I want to include in my workouts or whatever it is right for you? And then what do I want to hear from other people when I get to that goal? And if we can address all those questions, we can start to create it in our mind, and then we can start to live from that place of feeling. Feeling's the secret. You can create anything in this world if you just feel it first. So that's kind of what I would encourage anybody to do. It's like, search within your soul. Find the thing that you feel that lights you up more than anything. Use your. The contrast experiences that you create in this earth plane to give you images of what you prefer. Like you said, like, the reality that you want to create. Like, is it moving me towards that or is it moving it away? And then you just keep down that. Keep down that road, keep focused on that. Most people don't have focus, as you know, we're in the TikTok generation. Swipe left, swipe right. So to get somebody that can actually chisel their body like you have the muscle that you have on their body, it's so uncommon, Right? To get somebody that can focus on building their podcasts like you have that, that's uncommon. So be the opposite of that. And you're. You're living proof of that, and I'm living proof of that.
Yeah. So I'm gonna. I agree with everything that you just said, but I'm gonna play devil's advocate here, because I can already hear. I. I talk to people every single day, and I share a lot of what you just shared. It's like creating that vision and really being able to feel it, and that's. That's the most important part. And. And what I'll often hear is, you know, I feel it. I do feel it, and it moves me. But, yeah, I have bills to pay. I have mouths to feed. I need to work overtime. I'm working 12 hours a day. I can't just give up everything that I'm doing right now and pursue this other thing that might light me up a little bit more, because that's just not reality for me. What do you say to that person?
You got to interrupt the program. And we've been taught, like you said, to be doers. We're human doers. Check it off the box every single day. So how can I do more with the time that I'm actually allotted? How can I be smarter versus working harder? How can I be more effective at this? And then carrying around an egg timer, setting the timer, getting super focused. This is for my work, quote, unquote. And this is for my dream. So we need the dream bucket, because the dream bucket's gonna fill you up. You're gonna have more energy to actually do everything in your life. Not only that, but the work. And eventually your boss is gonna come up to you or whatever you're plugged into, and they're gonna say, hey, we wanna pay you more, because they feel it. Money's frequency, money's energy. So when you can come from a different vibration, as opposed to trying to change the doing, then the money will output, will change. I had a phone call with Bonnie Hari, who's the food babe. This was, like, 10 years ago, 12 years ago. I saw one of her blog posts, and I'M like, you need to be doing this full time. Called her up. She was on Tim Ferriss's podcast, Buddies with Tim. Called her up and I was like, hey, you need to do this full time. Like, stop what you're doing. She was working at a bank and she's like, I'm making really good money, you know, not to, you know, seven figures plus. And she's like, if I just stop, then I don't have that. And I'm like, yeah, but that's the, that's the, the lie that we're told. You know, we're bought into this lie of scarcity, that it's just not going to come. And when you go for your dream, I believe the universe always shows up in a big way, more than we could ever expect. And I've seen that in my life. I've seen that in the people that I've coached. You've probably seen that in yours. You just have to have faith. Follow the faith, follow the feels, and go for it and it'll get easier, I promise. But don't, don't be stupid either. You know, you gotta pay. If you have kids and a family and everything else, then get committed to the vision and just do that on the side work. It's gonna take a lot. You're gonna eat for a while and that's okay. Most people aren't willing to eat, so they never have the dream that they wanted. You've probably experienced that too.
Yep, completely. It reminds me of bartending until 2am, getting home at 3, and then training my first clients at 5am after napping for about an hour. And, you know, I knew that I wanted to be in the health space. I knew I wanted to help people transform. And at that point I hadn't really found my, my passion. I just knew the direction. So I just started on that direction. And it didn't matter that I was working until 2am and then had to wake up and train clients at 5 and take a nap in the gym office for an hour and get back to it. What was the process for you? I don't actually. Don't know. I feel, I feel embarrassed that I'm saying this, but I don't know the origin story of organifi. What, you know, what was your life like at the time? What. How did it all get started? Yeah.
Which is perfect that you're asking this, because back in the day I was running a credit and debt settlement company right out of college. I realized real quick I couldn't work for anybody else. Because I'm too driven. And I would see my pay, like, I was making this mortgage company millions of dollars a year, and I was getting paid like ten grand a month. And I'm like, this is not going to work for me. This was like 12 years ago, right? I just saw it playing out. I'm like, so I'm going to start my own company. Then I fell flat on my face with a credit and debt settlement company not knowing anything about it. I just wanted to help people with debt. For me, wrong avatar, wrong time focusing on debt. People are. There's a lot of emotion behind that. So I gained a bunch of weight, got out of shape, was working 12 to 15 hours a day trying to make it work. And I had a mentor tell me, he's like, why don't you do what you love? His name was Frank. At the time, he was probably 80 years old, right? I'd have breakfast with him every morning for two years. And we would read ancient texts, we would get into metaphysical laws of the universe and all these things. And he was just. He started JCPenney back in the day in Italy. Like, this guy just speaks five languages and he's like, you need to do what you love and make sure that you help at least one person every day. This is the secret to success. Go forth, do this. I heard him say that for a few months and I listened to him. I'm like, well, I'm making money in my debt company, like. But eventually the penny dropped and I'm like, this is what must be done. I loved health and fitness, probably like you, and I was running my debt settlement company, but I wasn't the image of health and fitness. I was 40 pounds overweight. I was out of shape, I was lethargic. You know, I didn't have the mitochondria firing yet, so I didn't have a lot of energy. And then I had a conversation with a friend. Their dad healed themselves of cancer from the power of green juice. Micronutrients, very quote unquote. Like Gerson Therapy. Ish, right? And I was thinking, okay, so if I'm eating all these macros, but I'm not getting the power of the micronutrients. Like, how can this change my life? This was back 12, 13 years ago, before green juicing was a big thing. I'm like, I'm just going to buy a juicer. So I bought a juicer as soon as I drank a cucumber, which even one cucumber through a juicer is like four glasses of Water, right? We think about the world's greatest hydration right there, a cucumber. So I drank that, then I added celery and ginger and started to clean up my digestion system. And of course I at the living in Michigan and eating a lot of comfort food throughout my life and binge drinking on the weekends in college. I mean, pretty typical. I had a lot of stuff to remove, so I removed it. And I had so much energy surging through my body the first day. Seven days later I had lost like five pounds, probably a lot of water weight of course, because that's the only way to do that. And then I lost like ten pounds after what seemed like a month and a half. All in all, I lost the 40 pounds over probably a six month period. Got in the best shape of my life. I went from 22% body fat down to sub like 7%. And it was easy, like it wasn't a struggle. I wasn't hungry for the things that I was hungry for usually. And I took an HD flip cam and I just recorded the videos of me making juices in the kitchen, talking about nutrition. And then sure enough, testimonials started to roll in. So people were sharing their juicing testimonials from all over the world. I had thousands of testimonials coming in every month. We built a social media following of around 7 million people across all the channels. This was like 12, 13 years ago. So before all the influencers were existing today, you know, everybody and their brothers, you know, I mean, you're in it, so.
Yeah.
And I felt so fired up. I was building my purpose muscles, literally. And that's what we're talking about. We're talking about the energy that you get from going after what you love and pursuing your dream. I've seen grown men wither away when they give up their purpose. So if you tune into your purpose, if you know what that is, you're going to have more energy than you you've ever known what to do with it. I'm living proof of that. There's nights I can't sleep, that I have ideas in my head. It's like I have to implement this. I have to do this versus sitting on the couch like most of America Netflix and chilling, eating a bunch of shit food. You will be unstoppable. And you noticed that too when you were bartending, which I did, by the way. I was a bartender in Michigan, third shift at a casino for an entire semester of school to pay for my own college. And then waking up in the morning to go paint houses and stained decks for people in Michigan. That was one of my first gigs. You get it. The hustle is real, but you get that when you focus on your purpose. And for me, there's nothing I'd rather be doing than helping people with their health and fitness, and we get to do that at Organifi.
Did you know at the time that it would turn into what it did, or was it something that you just were so passionate about, you just felt the need to share, and then all of a sudden you're like, man, people are really enjoying this. And then the audience was there, so you recognize there's an opportunity, or did you have the vision and you just kind of took it one little micro step at a time?
Had the vision. I knew what was possible. I had enough direct marketing experience, like, online digital marketing and advertising experience from the credit business that I had built previous, and I didn't see a lot of people that were really good on video back then. Now everybody and their brother has the much better setup than me. They're doing all these other crazy things. But back then, I'm like, okay, so I'm gonna leverage my strength, which is being on video, educating, helping people, which I love to do, and we'll just see what comes of it. Did I know it was gonna blow up as fast as it did and, like, have the success that we had at Organifi? Absolutely not. And it wasn't important to me because regardless of how much money I made, I just wanted somebody in Nebraska, somebody in Kentucky, all the way up to New York to send me a testimonial. Hey, I'm feeling better in my body. That was payment for me. Like, I literally got so high on people transforming their lives and realizing the power of the human body that. That I could care less about how success we had in the material world. Like, that didn't matter, and it still doesn't. Like, I want people to be healthy. I want people to feel as good as I feel. I think there's a lot of people that are in pain every single day, that get headaches and these debilitating autoimmune conditions. And if they only knew what you and I know, like, what a great position we're in, man.
Completely. I think what interests me is the ability for organifi. Like, I found out about Organifi several years ago, started taking the products. It's like, this is just really good quality, quality ingredients, something that I felt good taking. So it was. It was natural for me. And. And you Know, the, the partnership that we have and being able to talk from personal experience, and that's one thing on the podcast is I, I will only ever. I don't, I don't do ad reads. I don't do talking points. I do. This is what I do and this is what it does for me. And if you want to try it for yourself, then by all means. But I'm curious how Organifi has been able to stand out in as the space got more crowded because you were pretty early to the game and in the whole green juice space. But there's green juices that pop up all the time. And now it's become more mainstream and similar. You know, I look at what we do with nutrition coaching and there's 7 million nutrition coaches out, probably more. And there's just that, you know, there's no shortage of, of options. What do you think for Organifi has allowed you to kind of, you know, continue the success that you've had as the marketplace has gotten more saturated.
It'S always looking for a usp, you know, the unique selling proposition of the marketplace. And for us, in the beginning it was adding adaptogens like Ashwagandhas, a clinical dose which most people don't even have in their, their juices. I haven't seen any 600mg of ashwagandha in with all these greens. So that's a different product altogether. You know, that's a product that doesn't have 70 ingredients. That's a whole kitchen sink full of a fairy dust sprinkling. That doesn't really probably give you a clinical dose of anything or cause much of a nutrition variance in the human body. So it's higher quality premium, it's organic, and now it's actually glyphosate residue free, which furthers the gap in regards to how premium it can actually be. Most people don't want to spend the money from a business standpoint to do that, you have to be insane because it cost you 30 to 40% more for these ingredients that are better. You know, even organic food still has a 20% chance of having glyphosate residue on it. Now, glyphosate is a neurotoxin. It was first created as an antibiotic. And you know how antibiotics are, they disrupt our gut. They cause all types of issues, and people are experiencing that all over. Glyphosate's on everything. So if people are eating that all day long, every day, they're in a chronic state of fight or Flight, they're stressed out. Are they going to hit their weight loss goals? You know, probably not. Stress has them held hostage. So for us, we wanted to create a product that was glyphosate residue free, organic, highest quality. If I wouldn't give it to my sister, my mom, my dad, I wouldn't give it to the rest of the world. I couldn't sleep at night. So it's making the highest quality product that we can, that we know how to make and then giving that out. And I think when you come from that place, you're just going to be successful regardless.
Yeah, I love that. What. What went into or what goes into the thought process of expanding the product line? You know, obviously the, the green juice was the flagship product and kind of, you know.
Yeah.
What everybody knew you as for. And then, you know, the red juice, the gold juice, there's been, you know, several different iterations that have come out. What goes into that thought process of going deep on one thing versus going wide? When do you know it's the right time? What considerations?
Yeah, I'd love for you. Yeah, I'm like you. It's like, what am I going to use? First of all, like, if I'm not going to use something, I'm not going to make it. If my family's not going to use it, I'm not going to make it. So everybody that's around me, I want to make something that can impact them in a way to where they come up to me a week, two weeks, three weeks from now, and they're like, hey, that red juice gave me more energy than I've had in so long. I haven't had caffeine in three weeks. My adrenals feel so full because of the rhodiola, the cordyceps, everything that's in there. I feel like I'm on fire again. My mind is activated by taking pure, right? The neurofaction that increases BDNF 206%. I actually feel that shit. A lion's mane that increases nerve growth factor. Like, that's amazing. Like, I'm so focused at work now. Like, I'm so dialed in because I'm drinking the pure. I want to hear that from everybody that I know and I want to be ahead of the trends like we were with green juice and the ashwagandha. Like we. Nobody had infused greens with an adaptogen yet. Or better yet, mushrooms. Like, we were ahead of the game with mushrooms too. And now there's a mushroom company everywhere you go, but it's what's the quality of the mushroom? Because not all mushrooms are created equal. Not all mushrooms are grown the same. And what's the dose of it? So how can we have products that people actually feel? I think there's a lot of wishful thinking out there and there's a lot of fairy dust products, as you know, that really don't do much. And it says a lot that you actually take it. You're not pushing it on anybody. That's not my job either, to push it on people. Like, I just want people to experience it. If they love it, then they're going to share it with other people. So how do you create products like that? Staying ahead of the trends. Yes. With red Juice, you know, I saw a need five, six years ago for cardiovascular type stuff and then more so over the past three years. So red juice was kind of the thing that we wanted to help support people with sleep. Everybody's sleep is jacked, you know. So you got the reishi mushroom and the gold that tastes like autumn had a baby with a marshmallow. That's legit. That's probably my favorite, is the gold. What's yours?
My favorite product.
Yeah.
So I, I always, I made up my own. My own bundle. I say my company pop. I say I have my own pop bundle, which is not a real bundle, but I say it as if it is. And it's the, it's the green juice, crisp apple, the gold chocolate. And then I tell people to also get the harmony because my fiance loves the harmony. So we just made up our own little bundle. And that's what I love that.
And I love the pop discount. Most people, like, they use their name, but I like the pop. It's like super catchy. And Harmony's badass, by the way. I've seen more testimonials come in over the past 30 days for harmony than basically any product we've created. Women love this stuff. It increases. I'm getting messages from buddies. They're like, I gave this to my girl. And like, now her libido is crazy. She, like, wants it all the time.
Yeah.
Like, that's the harmony, you know, that's the power of harmony.
Yeah. Yep.
My.
My fiance, Mel, every, every single night she goes, we'll finish dinner. And, like, doesn't matter what we're doing next. She's like, I gotta make my harmony drink first. And then we can do whatever it is always.
So I love that.
Yeah.
It's dessert. It literally tastes like a chocolate dessert.
Yeah. And then I Usually do the gold chocolate and same thing. I really appreciate having that little dessert flavor. That's kind of the signal for me to stop eating. That's. That's like my. My brain knows we're done eating for the day. We've had this drink and it's time to unwind and decompress. So I absolutely love that. To take a brief pause in this conversation with Drew to tell you about organifi. As if you need more convincing. The fact that organifi has the absolute best products on the market when it comes to quality of ingredients. And as you heard from Drew, the appropriate dosing of ingredients, which is often overlooked. I think sometimes you get products that love to brag about their ingredients, but they forget to mention that the dose is a fraction of a fraction of what's actually needed to make a difference. Organifi does not cut corners. For me personally. I love to start my day with a win and further evidence that I'm living in accordance with the person that I want to become. And that's the most value that I've seen from like the green juice every morning. Crisp apple, green juice, part of my morning routine. It is further proof that I am somebody who takes care of their body, who is considerate and intentional about what is going in to that mouth in front of my face. It's intention, it's intentional action that confirms the identity and the person that I want to become. Same way that I finish my day with the gold chocolate. Further proof that this is who I am, that we are on track to becoming the person that we want to become because we are already acting as that person. And Drew talked about this as well in our conversation. It's just building up that proof that you're already doing it. That identity work is so important that your behaviors align with your values and what you say you want and what you do about it.
Super important. And that is what organifi is all about. Get the crisp apple, green juice, the chocolate, gold, the harmony that is what I call the pop bundle. Mel has been absolutely loving the harmony and I love the gold chocolate. Part of the wind down routine. Green juice, crisp apple is the best tasting greens drink period, with the absolute best ingredients, period. Or you can do the sunrise to sunset bundle which is green juice, red juice and gold juice. The red juice is a stimulant free pre workout that will have you feeling natural energy without caffeine or stimulants. It's got cordyceps in there, which is an amazing functional mushroom that helps with blood Flow energy. It's one of the best pre workouts that nobody talks about Organifi talks about it cause they know the Sunrise to Sunset bundle is already discounted. But you get an additional 20% off with the discount code POPFAM P O P F A M. That's our routine. That's how we use it. I cannot recommend their products enough. It will become a part of your routine. But just try it for yourself. Go to organifi.com popfam use code popfam for 20% off. And now let's get back to the conversation with Drew Canole. One of the things I'm, I'm curious about. Cause when I, when I was training clients, the reason why I shifted into nutrition, number one, that was always my biggest sticking point. But number two, I always felt like we've got this great habit that people are doing. They're showing up at the gym, they're working really hard and that's amazing. But their bodies aren't changing. They're still eating like crap. They're still going out and drinking every weekend. They're coming back into the gym, they're like, mike, what's going on? I'm like, I'm working out here six days a week, five days a week, four days a week. And I'm still the same, same things. You know, I'm not I'm not changing what's going on. And it was always the nutrition conversation. I was like, all right, there's probably something to this. And that was really where I found my passion. And how have you balanced that organifi. Recognizing that, you know, somebody can almost use that as a crutch. Like, hey, I got my. I got my green juice in. I got my. My veggies in. I've got my micronutrients. So now that gives me permission to still eat crap or whatever. And there. There's so many other pillars of health and wellness. You talked about the importance of sleep. You talked about managing stress. And, of course, products can help, but we really need these fundamental behavior and lifestyle changes. And how have you tried to integrate all of that into, you know, what the company stands for? Making sure that the people who are buying your products understand that there's more to it than just adding a scoop into your water? It's a. It's a wellness approach, it's a lifestyle approach, and just trying to help get that message out there.
Yeah, good question. I think our unconscious mind, as you know, rules 98% of what we do throughout the day. So I like moments of the day that I can anchor back to who I know I am. And even if before, I am that person. So if I want to lose 20 pounds, I'm drinking my green juice, and I'm literally saying, I now weigh 200 pounds, right? Or whatever it is for you. I'm feeling great in my body. I'm feeling the energy and the life force surging, and I'm making wise decisions in the kitchen now. So I'm using affirmative statements as I'm drinking the juice. And the more and more I do that, the more my unconscious mind is like, no, this is the reality. Reality that we're living now. And it starts to change. I start to make better decisions because of the juice that I drink in the morning. I'm no longer not eating all day long, which is a common habit for most people. And then binge eating everything I see at night, it's like, my blood sugar's balanced, right? I'm feeling good. My energy levels are correct. I don't have cravings. I don't have cravings because even if I. Even if somebody comes to me and they're eating like, absolutely. And they just start drinking green juice, red juice, gold, the sunrise to sunset, or your bundle, right? You're infusing your mitochondria, your gut, with so many nutrients that it sends signals to your brain. 80 to 90% of the serotonin comes from our gut, which is that happy neurochemical. If we're feeling happy, oftentimes people eat just because they're sad. Oftentimes people eat because they're anxious, they're depressed. A lot of people are anxious now with everything that's happening in the world. So if we can give them something to calm their central nervous system down, Ashwagandha feel better in their stomach, get the nutrients that they need, well, then they're ultimately going to make better decisions anyway. So we can give them all the nutrition coaching in the world. But if they don't change their unconscious mind and how they relate to food in general or the experience of life in general, then they're going to always go back to the way that they once were. So I, that's my approach. It's like, how can we shift their identity and how can we start there as opposed to changing the environment, things that they're doing. It's like, what is their identity like? Who do you see yourself as? And then working backwards from that, does that make sense?
I mean, you're speaking my language. That is.
That'S, that's the only way to make it real, to make it stick. And I had to learn that the hard way. When I first got into the industry, it was very much about know, do, do, do instead of, you know, who you are, who you want to become. Getting into my own future self work changed everything for me. And a lot of times that's a, what I find is that it's a diff, it's a, it's a difficult selling proposition to say. I'm gonna, you know, you're gonna come work with us and we're going to challenge your identity, we're going to challenge your belief system. So that's almost like, you know, it's almost like the, the peanut butter trick with a dog. We have to, we have to attract them with the peanut butter, but then sneak the, the real sauce in there.
So, yeah, the only way to do it, and you're doing it the right way, it's like you can sleep at night because you're not some charlatan saying, hey, just drink this, just do this. You're actually showing them away. I like to say Organifi is a personal development company disguised as a superfood company.
Yeah, I love it. I talk about that frequently with that, especially with green juice. Like there's no better way. My, my morning routine. I'm not, I always talk about this on the show and I'm not an elaborate morning routine person, but I do have these, these pillars that, that get me feeling ready to start the day. And the morning is always when I do the most creative work. That's when I write, that's when I get into that flow state. So after I get myself out of bed and you know, my, know my teeth are brushed and all that stuff, I, I go outside and I bring some lemon water outside and I just get some natural light and out there for about 10 minutes. And then the very next thing that I do is my, my green juice. And I always say that it's, there's like three things right out of the gates that have stacked up small, almost seemingly insignificant evidence of the person that I am and the person that I want to become. And that's really what I talk about, green juice from that perspective. Like you start your day with this immediate win. Like, this is the person that I am, this is who I want to become. And there's proof, there's real proof like you mentioned, for that subconscious mind to say, like, no, we're actually doing this now and we're already on this trajectory of where we want to go. So to me, it's, it's really just how, how much evidence can we stack up in favor of that person we want to become? And, and why not do it in the morning? Because the more that we push it off, the more likely we are to get derailed. And like, let's start with those wins early and often. And I, I agree. It just carries forward throughout the rest of the day.
Yeah, everything's momentum. And if you don't have time to do the morning ritual with the lemon water and you're traveling or whatever else like the green juice, just pop a travel pack in your bag and have that moment, get that full body activation in the sun I was in. You really want to open things up in your life. I know this is going to sound nuts again, but I was into sungazing. I lived in Sedona for a while, so I would go out in the morning and I would just stare into the first sunlight for the first 15min. And I felt so charged by all the rays, the biophotonic chemicals that the light induces from the sun as I would drink my green juice. Powerful power of exercise to do.
Yeah, I love it.
Just don't go too fast, too quick. Yeah.
I want to get back to something that you mentioned because I was going to take it on this tangent and I was like, let's, let me put that in my back pocket for a little bit later on. Because I. I like to.
Talk about life as a game as well. I usually describe it as an infinite game, but you talked about life is just a game we can figure out how to play. We can almost codify it and come up with this. This system that works for whatever you want to call it. A framework, you know, a belief system, an operating system would probably be a better way to put it. What does that look like? Or what does that mean to you? Do you view life as an infinite game where. Where the, the name of the game is to keep playing and keep getting better at the game, and you kind of are creating your own rules as you play. What, what does that actually mean when you say life is a game and we can actually kind of codify it?
Yeah, I think for me, it's.
It's not being too attached to the character in the game. It's not being too attached to the five senses, you know, sight, touch, taste, smell. Here. It's knowing that I'm beyond this physical body because that gives me freedom when I am in that place. I've had many. I've had thousands of dreams over the course of my life where I literally die. And then I see a past life. Like I lived entire lifetimes where it's. I have a different family and I wake up and I miss my daughter and I'm crying because it was so real to me. Like, I know that. That we're not seeing everything that's going on. And I also know that what do we see? Like, 2% of the visible light spectrum. So it is as if we are in some type of quote unquote matrix.
And we, we have the ability, through the power of our mind, through the power of our intention, through the power of our feeling to create whatever we want, reality, we want to create.
And I've seen it over and over and over in my life.
If I need a certain character to show up to play the game of organifi or whatever else, just setting that intention, putting it out there, and then it's fulfilled. And I think the closer we are to our own personal integrity, the more power, the more electromagnetic energy we build up in our body. Through working out, through getting outside in the sunlight, through drinking the right superfoods or eating the right nutrition period.
The more we start to see glitches in the game that show us like, oh, yeah, that's right. I'm just playing this game and I'm a character. And I know that the bigger thing is Me re remembering how powerful I really am, and you re remembering how powerful you are. And I'm just a guide on the side. I'm not some guru teaching this. It's like, no, I'm in this with you. You and I are both in this. And it's like, how much love can I see in my brothers and sisters? Every single person I come in contact with, how can I see that in them? And then, you know, really give. Give of myself in a much bigger way. And I think that's the purpose of anybody's in my life is just how much can I give? How much love can I share?
And my life has been easy. Easier than most, probably because of that.
So there's that. You're the third person. I always. I have this rule. If I hear something three times, there's probably something that I need to pay more attention.
I love that rule.
And you're the third person that has said so. I had two people that were. Are very different that talked about. One was from a psychedelic experience. The other, I believe was just from a meditative state. But both of them kind of talked about being in this theta brain state and. And seeing a past life.
Yeah.
And actually feeling that now. You're the third person that's talked about through dream being, you know, kind of privy to a past life. So that's something that I'm going to pay more attention to because now it's the third time that it's come up in my life. And. But I'm curious how that all plays a role when you talk about the kind of this. This matrix, you know, not being too attached to the character. How does that impact your identity or the way that you see yourself? Like, how would. How would you describe your identity?
The. Well, the Persona or the mask, you know, because that means mask. That I am playing now in this game is Drew Cannoli, who has different attributes, who's the CEO of Organifi, who has very materialistic identity pieces in this realm. But is that really me? Because we, on top of our body, we also have our light body. We have different bodies that we have the electromagnetic body, different orc fields that we have. Rudolph Steiner talks a lot about this. So for me, it's knowing that this is just the character. It gives me a lot more compassion in my life. I can be a lot easier to Drew when I approach life this way. I'm not as attached to certain outcomes, maybe that I would be if I was so bought into. This is all there is. This is like you got to fight for survival. Like all this programming you and I have had throughout our lives, I think you start to get rid of that, and you shed that. So I think maybe it's not even a past life. Maybe it's just a different timeline that I've experienced. And I think maybe we. There is a certain person I listened to for a while. His name's Muji, and he's got a lot of YouTube videos, and he. He practices satsang, which is like the yoga of oneness to where you truly meditate. And you literally see yourself and every single human and you have, like, this experience that's so out of body and so connected to other human beings.
That I. I've had a couple times in this life. And it frees you. It totally frees you of.
Of the ego. And I think as men, especially men that are driven like you and I, we can put our ego goggles on and live. Live in this ego tunnel. And that blocks out more of what we could truly experience on this earth and the people that we can help. So the older I get, the more I'm like, okay, let me get rid of these ego goggles and let me. Let me see reality for what it is. And I see myself in you a lot.
Would you say that's more.
I know, and it's just a label, but I'm curious if that feels more like how you would describe collective conscious. And we, like you mentioned earlier, we all have that ability to tune into it. It's just sometimes there's all of these disruptors that get in the way. Everyday life and stress and the foods that we're eating, the chemicals. But we all have this ability to tap into that collective conscious and feel that oneness. But we're always so distracted by all these other disruptors. Is that kind of what you mean by that?
100%, yeah. The biggest lie that we've ever been told is that we're separate. And that's the original wound, is to believe that I'm separate from you. Because if you go outside and look at nature, nature is the farthest thing from being separate. You see it everywhere. It's like divine magic. The way the trees are planted, the way the flowers bloom, and everything's perfect in perfect order. But human beings, we just think that we're separate from each other. So we go to war with each other, we fight each other. And I think there's a level of consciousness, like you said, to where we realize that we are far more alike than we ever are different. And I Think when you approach life like that, at least this is what's worked for me. It, it frees you up, it makes life so much easier. And if you study biology and you see the vagus nervous system and how that different animals stimulate their vagus nervous system when there's a threat and all these other things, it's like, yeah, we are these divinely complex organisms and we are so connected and we're just not seeing it. Because if we saw it in the, if we saw it, we would be a threat to the establishment in a big way.
Right.
Because that's our power. Our true power is coming together and uniting versus being separate. And I think that's. We're going to see more of that over the next couple of years. Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, completely. I think unfortunately the, the divide gets deeper and, and that, that is kind of the power removal. The more devices things become, the more that we give up our, our power. I find that kind of what you're alluding to. And we had, I had this moment, I think it was two days ago.
And, and my fiance and I have made it a point. We have a pool in our backyard and have all these trees in the backyard and have made it a point as, as part of our own little therapy to disconnect from everything and just go in the pool and no work, talk, nothing else. Just, just love that. And we were, we were sitting in the pool, I'm looking out at the trees and I was like, you ever think and look at the trees and like, man, they've seen some, like all the, all the things that they've been through, they've seen some shit and, and I was like, you know, it's, it's kind of this weird, almost like push and pull where it makes me feel so insignificant to recognize like all that's out there, that's been around well before me, that will be here long after me. But then at the same time it makes me feel significant because I'm in this moment in place and time that is literally against all odds. And it's just this like, mind. I know now my audience is going to think I'm crazy too. But these are. We were talking about and we just, we're having this whole dialogue around this feeling of, of significance, insignificance and all the things around us that we don't even pay attention to sometimes that have been here well before us will be here long after us and all the things that have transpired to make up this moment. And it's just, it's it's, it's crazy to tap into something like that.
And when you go outside, Mike, and you look around and you get really present, you come back into your body because most people are in their heads and you really see the trees and the flowers and all the plants and the birds and everything for what it is. They're all supporting you like they're here giving you love. Like, I believe there's energy coming off these, you know, biophotonic energy that's communicating with our DNA. But we don't see it again because 2% of the visible light spectrum is what we see. But they're just holding space and they're like, hey, recognize me. I am you and you are me. And we're connected and we're one. And that's, it's medicine. There's medicine everywhere and you fall in love with it. Like every time I step outside, I'm falling in love with a flower or a tree. And I know it sounds very hippie.
But.
It will literally change your life if you can just stop and get out of your own head and stop. You know, be a human being versus a human doing. And it's powerful. Dude, I love that you have that pool exercise with your, your love and. Yeah, that, that'll change your life in itself.
Yeah. And I found that that's a good litmus test for me to recognize when I've been pushing too much without coming up for air because I'll, I'll feel like this cloud was lifted. I get out of the pool and I'm like, oh my God, my, my head weighs 10 pounds less than it did before we got in here. And it's, it's this tangible feeling. And I said, and it, and it gives me that reminder like, you know what? I've been, I've been on overdrive. I've been head down in work. I haven't taken a anytime for myself. I haven't disconnected in a while. And it's, it's that reminder of how much better I feel. And then I know when I, when I try to tap into that creative state and it's not really happening as effortlessly as it normally does. And that's the indicator, like I, I got to do something to, to disconnect and just get outside and you know, like you said, be, be a human being and, and stop trying to do everything.
Yeah. And things will come faster that way, you know. Set an egg timer for 40 minutes. Take a 10 minute break. 40 minutes on 10 minute break. You'll get so much More done and secret. What I'm hearing you say, too, is, like, to have a good woman that holds space for you in those moments when you're off. Like, I'm in a. Dude, it's a war right now. Like, the E Comm business, everything that's happening in the world is changing. You got AI I don't know if you're experiencing that in your business, and a lot of entrepreneurs probably won't talk about it, but it is brutal. Like, it is absolutely brutal. So you and I are going off to war and to come back to the village. 10 minutes every 40 minutes. I mean, and to allow your woman to open up space like that, like they are space holders, like a good woman, is absolutely incredible. I'm living proof of that. Like, it just melts your soul and your heart. It's like, okay, I can do this again. I'm gonna put my armor back on, and I'm gonna go out here and slay some more dragons.
That.
Yeah, I couldn't imagine doing it without her. And, yeah, just had to say that my.
My business would not be here without her. This was before. We were just friends at the time, and she was somebody that just had a belief in me inherently. And I don't. I don't know why. I don't know what it was, but there was something. And I remember talking to her on the phone, and she was like, no, you have. You have to do this. You are. You're going to be successful. I already know it. I already know you know, your business is going to be exactly what people need. And there was just this, like, unwavering confidence, and it. It carried over into me, and I was like, yeah, I can. I can do this. Let's go. And that was how it all started. She was really the catalyst behind me have, you know, being able to do this on my own and go off and build a business over the past five years. So I completely agree. Yep.
Believed in you when you didn't even believe in yourself. Absolutely. I'm the same way.
Yeah. So I want to be respectful of your time, but I am. I do have a couple more questions. I. I do want to kind of get a. A handle on those disruptors that you mentioned. The. The, you know, the. The war that you're fighting right now in the E. Comm. Space. You know, you mentioned trying to stay ahead of the trends. What do you see as, you know, this could be from the AI perspective? I listened to Tom, Bill, you speak recently, and. And he's of the. Of the Belief like, better get on board now. You're going to be left behind. Different philosophies, but what do you see as kind of like the next thing that we all have to be aware of? I, you know, and you can take this in any direction. It could be technology, it could be, you know, psychedelics, it could be any, like, whatever, next iteration of where. How are we leveling up what's coming down the pipeline?
Yeah.
I think for me it's a lot of business right now. It's a lot of business restructuring. Essentially. It's.
If you've ever read Ready, Fire, Aim, that's a good book and it explains, you know, what got you to 10 million isn't going to get you to 20, and 20 is definitely not going to get you to a hundred. You just need a different caliber. So we're in one of those transitionary phases. So it's a lot, you know, it's a lot to do battle with somebody for five years and then you get to the end of the road and it's like, well, they're not going to get us to the next level. And their family, dude, you love them. You know, these are people that you've broken bread with many times and, but you have a responsibility in your business and to the people into the world to bring that forth even more and more. That's just the, that's just one thing. You know, the people thing. The, the market's changing, the economy's changing. They say we're in a recession.
I haven't seen house prices dip that much unless it's a more inflated market like Austin or something like that. But we're on the brink of, I, I think we'll bounce back probably in the next, I'd say three to four months. But if you look at, in general, a lot of the E comm businesses, they're, they're down 20 to 40% in this category. I think AI will change things up. It's making it a lot easier to write, to do a lot of internal processes probably for you, for idea generation with different podcast ideas.
Using the Facebook algorithm for, you know, you paid ads and stuff is great for AI.
And I, but the world is shifting so fast. I mean, it's only probably a year to a two years out when people actually go to ChatGPT to search like they're doing on Google. And you know, what, what are ads? What's ad spend going to be for the few people that are left on Google that are marketing, that are marketing their business for that, you Know what I'm saying? So it's just keeping up with those changing times, having people that are good at it. I believe we are. We've had to downsize the team a little bit recently and make things right that way, but it's all good. You know, I, at the end of the day, if you create the world's best product and you put your heart and soul into it, then the people will show up. So what are you seeing in regards to this?
Yeah, a lot of the same. I think in the nutrition coaching space I think there's a lot of fear around AI, at least from what I'm seeing from other coaches being able to coach more effectively and, and we've kind of maintained that well, AI doesn't have the, the eq, they don't have the emotional intelligence and, and coaching is very person centric. There's a lot of connection and trust and everything. But as AI continues to evolve it probably will be just as emotionally intelligent as humans. So we'll see what happens there. But I think there is, there's a lot of fear around that. You know, I find that.
It'S for me hasn't disrupted much. There's, you know, I don't use AI to write. I, I find that anytime I've tried to use AI to even get ideas that it kind of comes back with like a C minus effort and me writing content is, is much more effective. But that will continue to evolve. I think that, you know, I think there's value, there's going to be some place if it's not already happening for people to get answers without having, I think maybe as a low barrier of entry to, to be able to ask questions, to chat, GPT, for example, to get some nutritional information or feedback like that. But I don't see it replacing the need for, for a human coach quite yet. Maybe that'll change in a few years, but I think we're a little bit away from, from that actually happening.
So.
And again, I think having the ability to your point where you say, you know, create the best product in the world and the people will come. To me it's delivering that world class experience and creating transformation that people want to talk about and share with other people. It makes me feel very secure in what we do.
Yeah, I agree with that. The nutrition coaching, like you want somebody, you want to hear a voice, there's a person behind the phone, the camera, whatever it is that people will pay to work, work with and AI is not going to replace that anytime soon completely.
So last Question for you. What, what's the legacy that you hope to leave with organifi? You know, is it something that you want to live on well after, you know, after you and. And beyond? What is. What is the legacy that, that you hope for? Organifi?
Yeah. Organifi is a lifestyle. It's the adaptation of.
More like a higher well being, you know, feeling better in your body. So I always wanted it to be a lifestyle brand, be it one of these brands, it's a hundred years old that has different products and different market segments, but it's a lifestyle, you know, it's how can we make every area of our life more intentional like we've done with superfoods. So is it house cleaning products, the pet food which I've been researching and interested in, is it somehow.
Opening up other market segments like tech? That's another idea. You know, there's so much we can do with a limited amount of time on this earth and for me it all comes back to people. It's what kind of people do I want to be surrounded by? I think live events is going to be huge for us coming up, even small events. We live on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Like having people out to the farm and teaching them about off grid living. Off grid ish. Living. How to grow your own food, chickens, goats, we have all that stuff. I think there's going to be a revival for that. Probably already happening in a big way and in different places. So how can we be at the leading forefront of that and then having people be vastly more connected to nature. So it's a lifestyle, it's a guidebook.
