Drew Canole shares 11 practical strategies for building habits that stick. He weaves in personal stories and promotes Organifi Green Juice as part of a wellness routine designed to transform your daily life.
Greetings, my fellow traveler on this journey we call life. Today I bring you a gift, 11 simple yet profound ways to forge rock-solid habits that are literally going to propel you towards a life of your dreams. These aren't just empty words, my friend. I personally walk this path and I've seen its transformative power. Countless of others, thousands of others have actually joined me on this journey and have reaped its rewards 13 years ago when I first started on YouTube. People dedicating and transforming their lives with these powerful rituals and practices that I'm gonna share with you today. And I'm only gonna share a few of them. I have probably hundreds of different things we can do, but here's a good place to start. These practices are priceless, yet I give them to you freely today for just showing up at the right place at the right time. And of course, as a gesture of love and faith to you. All I ask of you, my friend, if you're new to the Drew and youn Show, share this with somebody that maybe needs a little bit of energy in their life to forge some of these rock-solid habits or create a life that's much grander than anything that they could possibly imagine. Put your hand on your heart, take a big breath in, and as you breathe out, say, I am committed. There we go. This humble promise will unlock the magic of these habits, and it'll create a reality beyond your wildest dreams. So let's begin this sacred journey, my friend. Together, let's make some magic. Okay, let's get into today's show. Today's show is brought to you by Organifi. Green Juice. It's got Ashwagandha in it, which lowers stress 29% in clinical trials. Taking it eight weeks. When I first launched this eight years ago, it was amazing to see so many people zenned out. It's like zen in a cup. Gets rid of the stress, the anxiety, and as you know, cortisol not only robs your precious cells, we create 50 trillion cells every single second, every single day. billions and trillions of cells are created, but how stressed out are those? I imagine it to be like little vice grips on our blood cells. And when we lower our stress, when we're mindful, when we're in heart coherence, or when we drink Organifi Green Juice, we can simply see those vice grips loosening themselves. And the body has a transformational journey all on its own. You feel better, and when you feel better, you see the world with more optimism. More love, more joy, more unconditional love, which really creates a life worth living. So try Organifi Green Juice. I'll leave the link in my show notes. Go to Organifi, O-R-G-A-N-I-F-I.com, use coupon code Drew for any of the products on there and get 20% off today, my friend. It will transform your life. Let's go. Number one, The best way to forge any new habit is simply to start small. When I began as a transformation coach 13 years ago, I had many people that were hundreds of pounds overweight. We had one guy that was 780 pounds. So for him, starting small looked like just standing up off the couch, doing reps of that. It wasn't running to the gym and squatting 500 pounds. No, he built up to that. But in the beginning, it was just standing up off the couch, taking five steps, taking 10 steps, taking 50, 100, 3,000 steps, walking mile, you know, walking two miles, walking three. So it builds up. There's this compound effect that happens when we begin small. So what small steps can we take today to build momentum? Maybe for you, you're dehydrated. Most people are, you know, 75% of people are dehydrated. just like they're low in magnesium. We eat a lot of foods that rob our body of magnesium, that drain our body of hydration. And when we're not hydrated, we don't have magnesium. Our chi, our prana, our life force gets a little bit lessened as well. So maybe it's just drinking more water. Maybe it's flossing, not with commercial floss, because there's pufas in it, or pfas is those forever chemicals. Most people don't know that. I actually floss with Microline fishing line. It doesn't have any of that. So that's what I floss with. But just by flossing, you add six years to your life. Most people don't floss. Do you floss? Truly? Most people don't. I see you shaking your head right now. No judgment. Three things that I'm grateful for when I wake up, I just say it right away. That's something that you could add to your life that changes everything. One of my mentors, Mr. Wayne Dyer, told me once, he's like, When you plant your feet, you get up out of bed, the first thing you do, you say, Thank you with both feet. You set your day in this positive vibration, this rhythm of life, of nature, and you just feel good. Start your day in gratitude. And maybe it's going outside and putting your feet in the grass for five full breaths. I think sometimes when we're like, well, I'm going to go outside and I'm going to plant my feet for 15 minutes. I think that can be a little, I don't know where that voice came from, but this Organifi Green Juice is kicking in. Yes, when you do that, I think it's simple. The smaller the habit, the easier it is for you to complete. Which leads me to the next point. You want to track that because when we track our habits, whether we're keeping a journal or a chart or a whiteboard to track our progress on the habit we're working on, it helps us to see how far we've come. We get a dopamine rush when we cross things off the list. and I personally used Excel spreadsheets back in the day that I printed up. I had all different types of colors. If it was a physical, mental, spiritual, emotional quadrant, I had a different color marker for each quadrant. Now, could you read it? No, probably not. My handwriting sucks. Still sucks today. But at least I know what I put on the board back then. I had pushups, 15-minute core work, eat every three hours, read for 30 minutes in the morning, Usually that was like spiritual stuff or the Bible and I would get into it and go back and forth with one of my mentors and we'd talk about how we could apply that to our lives versus just reading books. We would actually be demonstrations of that book. How can we embody it? How can we integrate it? I'd play the guitar. I'd send three notes of appreciation to the people that I love and I would call a family member. And when I would call a family member, even for two, three minutes, there was no time thing on this. It was just to listen. It was to understand more about their personal story. in this life, not to be right, not to teach them what I know, which I definitely went through when I first started uncovering the lies of the big food corporations or big pharma and realizing how poisoned everything was. I wanted to educate everybody, but at the end of the day, you can't. They have to learn on their own. And the last person that's gonna teach them, guess what? It's you. It's their family member. I can't tell you how many times I've told my sweet love of my life, my fiancee, Bailey, different things, only to have a OBGYN or a naturopath or somebody else down the road tell her exactly what I told her a dozen times before that. Isn't that amazing? And I know you're laughing because if you have a significant another or somebody in your family that you've told and you're like, wow, that happens to me all the time. Put your hands up unless you're driving. If that happens to you, I'm talking to you. Number three, we've gone through number one, which was small habits. Number two is track your progress. Now these may seem simple, but when we do them over time, it builds up this cascading effect. It starts to influence other decisions that we make in our life. So number three would be make your habit harder to break. You got to find obstacles for yourself. You're tempted to break a habit such as removing triggers out of your environment or setting reminders in your phone or sticky notes on your computer or your mirror. to remind you of why you were trying to form this new habit in the first place. What's the why? The why that makes you cry? What's the deeper reason for this habit? And if you can project your consciousness into the future and see that you've already mastered that habit, well then what's the why from that point? How much value would it give to your life right now in all ways, in all ways? So I put my gym clothes out, actually Bailey does this now, in the morning before we go to bed. So gym clothes, shoes, water, you know, 32 ounces of water with magnesium and some electrolytes in there and with my organifi green juice. And then I just take away all the steps that make things harder to implement. You got to get rid of all the self-sabotage junk food in the house. I'm talking to you, person that wakes up in the middle of the night only to eat a. Pine of Dunkin Donut ice cream or Hodgen, what is it? Hodgen Dodges? I've never even had that stuff. Hodgen Doss, yes. I hog it and then I dodge it afterwards. So you got to get rid of all that food. And the story, I filmed videos on this 13 years ago. I would go into people's homes and time and time again, they would have desserts hidden in their bedroom, you know, the drawer next to their bedroom. And they would give me full reign to their houses just to clean it out as much as possible. and they would blame it on their kids, these poor kids. You know, you've got to have that for little Timmy, and Jonathan loves the Apple Crisp Pancake Batter that, you know, it's loaded with all these chemicals and artificial sweeteners and everything else. And I would literally get these kids enrolled in grabbing a big old 32-gallon trash can or one of those black trash baskets, and they had a ball throwing out all this stuff. and telling their parents that they're gonna be the healthiest ones in the house. You can have fun with this. It doesn't have to be a pain in the booty. And I'll tell you what, when your kids start to transform, when they get more energy, or maybe there are signs of some mental stuff going on with them, I promise you, nutrition changes everything. I've seen healings upon healings, which I probably can't even talk about in this podcast without being screened. But let me just say, I'm blown away at how when you change your children's diet, how they just come into alignment with more peace, more ease, more control, more mental discipline. And the same thing goes for you when you get rid of all this stuff. So make it hard to break those habits. Get rid of all the junk food. Set a goal to do this. And if be the screener of the house, who cares? People go shopping, they bring stuff in. Tell them that you're the screener of the house, like a badge of honor. Remember Safety Patrol back in the day? I remember going to school and I was part of the Safety Patrol. People were running in the hallway, I got to tell them that they can't run. It's like a badge of honor. You have a badge of honor to throw out all this junk food. You're adding years to their life. And every once in a while as a treat, maybe have some junk food, but don't bring it in your castle or your altar, which is your home, your kitchen. which is where life is, not where dead processed food is. Get it out of there. Number four, celebrate small successes. Like I just said, give yourself rewards. So if you clean the house out and you do want a freaking Twix bar or something that sounds appealing to you in this current state of taste bud awareness, remember, train your taste to trim your waist. Your taste buds are actually gonna, I've seen it time and time again, kids start craving broccoli. and greens and they start craving grass-fed organic meat and wild caught fish as opposed to Mickey D's, Big Macs and french fries that are who knows how many toxins are on those things. So having a cheat treat meal, not a cheat meal, you're not cheating yourself of anything, you're actually fueling your body with so much nutrition that you can hardly take it. Once a week is a great plan. Maybe it's taking yourself to a spa. or getting your hair done, for working extra hard or learning something new in your life that could impact your career. Whatever it is, set goals. Get together with the people that you love and set these goals. Get together with your family. Okay guys, I know we've been talking about this for a while. What are things we can do to reward ourselves? Do we want to travel somewhere? Maybe we want to take a van trip. Maybe we want to fly somewhere in the world and we haven't done it yet because We haven't planned it. Plan it out and when you hit that goal, do it. Number five, like I had talked about in the beginning, you got to establish rituals and routines. From the minute you wake up, you're getting out of bed, you form habits first thing in the morning when you're in that theta state, it flushes it into your unconscious mind, which is why my morning ritual video on YouTube is one of the most watched videos I have. You start your day with gratitude, I got the notes of appreciation in there. Right now, I'm doing a podcast a day, working out, eating a nutritious meal, hydrating, getting about 20 minutes of sun because it's been known to be one of the most anti-negative bacterial. If you have bad bacteria in your body or negative microbials, it impacts your micro gut biome. It gives you all this luminous vitamins that we don't get from our environment unless you're in the sun. The sun is actually here to help us. this enemy in the sky that we have to coat ourselves with so many chemical laden sunscreens. The sun is awesome, hats off to the sun. So getting 20 minutes in the morning, really beneficial. Planting feet on the earth, cold plunging, jumping in the ocean, maybe it's playing the guitar for me. Have a ritual that you can track every single day. It'll get easier over time, I promise. Number six, visualize your success. I set an alert in my phone to remind me to visualize because as I've said in the past, if you can hold it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand. Remember that. Visualize it. Not just see it, but feel it. And hear other people telling you once you've achieved it. And then what does it look like? You know, looking in the mirror, maybe it's a physical transformation. What do you look like? So see it, hear it, feel it. You get all of that somatic energy going in your body. You feel it in your heart. Your heart's much bigger electromagnetic field than anything else, and it will change your life. So set that time. Make a vision board. Make a mind movie. Put sticky notes out. Visualize your success. Remind yourself to visualize. Step away from Netflix and chilling and turn on the inner movie that's going to create your world. Powerful stuff. Number seven, be consistent and patient is the big thing. I know a lot of people want it done tomorrow. If you're anything like me, you start 15 projects, you want them all done at the same time. Why not? Just stresses you out even more. Stresses out every single person in your life even more when you want all this stuff done at once. So be patient. Like the old analogy is said, Rome wasn't built overnight. Your dream life isn't going to be built overnight. It's a step-by-step process. and get this, if you fall off for a day, a month, a year, don't beat yourself up. Keep going and be kind to yourself. Hug yourself. Give yourself more love because that's really gonna be the catalyst for more motivation to hit your goal anyway. Next up, seek support from others is what I have. You gotta share your goals. A lot of people say, don't share your goals with anybody. Don't tell them what you're doing because you don't want your energy contaminated. I say, screw that. Tell everybody. Make a video. Share it with millions of people. Share it with as many people as you can because guess what? They're gonna hold you accountable. You don't want to embarrass yourself, right? I've seen it time and time again, being on stages and seeing people commit to goals and then because they're doing it in front of people, that herd mentality, maybe the extra energy from the room, whatever it is, they are so much more motivated to actually get it done. So I am of the opposite school of thought. Hide your goals from people. You know, grind in the darkness is the theme. You know, you go on YouTube and you watch these motivational videos. I was just grinding in the darkness, and my life changed. You've seen these videos. and I'm gonna tell you, get support from others. Seek it. It's gonna become less daunting too, because maybe those other people have actually been through what you're going through and they can donate information to you freely that's actually gonna help you. So, enroll others in supporting you. You can enroll anybody into supporting you with a compelling story. And most of the time, guess what? For free, if the story is compelling enough or benefits them in a way, if they're a coach, you know, I've been coached by coaches that would generally charge 100, maybe a quarter million dollars a year. But it's because in the beginning or more, you know, some of them would charge more than this. And it's because they believe in you. It's because you have this compelling energy. You have this way about you. They know you're going to hit the goal. They know you're going to be the best testimonial or transformational student they've ever had if you convince them the right way. And they're enrolled. They're enrolled in you. so enroll other people. Now, I'm not saying everything has to be free, but when you're starting out, maybe you don't have that kind of cash just sitting around, right? Most people don't. I get it. Or if you do, then you probably have already hired a coach or a group coaching program or something that's teaching you to do what you want to do. And if you haven't, you can greatly accelerate time like this. One of my coaching students was doing about a million and a half dollars a year with a D to C company selling makeup, cosmetics, these types of things. Hired me a year later, he did $42 million. Now, I'm not saying that to say, you know, you need to hire me for your D2C company. I'm just telling you the power of hiring a coach that gets what you're doing in the marketplace. I don't care who you are. There's somebody that knows more than you do. There's somebody that knows more than I do about this stuff. And I'm constantly looking towards those people that actually teach and educate me to take my life to the next level. And that's what we need to do. So hire a coach, enroll others in supporting you, period. Number nine, take breaks when needed. Don't push yourself too hard. There's a lot of energy and you just gotta do it. Do it, do it, do it, do it. 16 hours a day, do it some more. Your fingers are bleeding, you broke your leg, keep doing it. And that's the wrong energy here. I think if you push yourself too hard, you're gonna lead to burnout. It's going to set you back a few months. I've seen people's adrenals crash. I've seen people that get so hopped up drinking four or five cups of coffee a day, they don't even look like the same person they were three months ago. Yeah, that's not the way. Balance is the way. Now, maybe sometimes you're a little off balance and one of the spokes in the wheel of life, spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, financial, one of those spokes is off. Maybe you're working 12-14 hours a day. That's okay, as long as one of those spokes is balancing the other ones, you'll be fine. This isn't going to be like this for the rest of your life. I know a lot of you are committed to doing big things. You are hustling. You're working hard. I see you. But just know that balance is the way. Unplug from tech once a week. It'll be the greatest thing you've ever done. Get outside in nature. Come off Instagram, even for three hours one day. Just come off all social, come off email. One of the greatest things I ever did is I put a alert on my email that just told everybody that emailed me, I'm actually away. I'm no longer in my email. And I may respond in a week, it may be two weeks, but I'm not committed to responding to my email every single hour on the hour like some people are. You have to have boundaries for yourself. And those boundaries from tech, those boundaries from email, those boundaries from people or things that you don't want to do in business that you're just doing because nobody else is. you can always find people to do that. And there's a people out there that are better at that than you are, is my motto. So get somebody that loves to do what you don't love to do. Enroll your boss or if you're working for somebody else to hire somebody that actually has an affinity for it as opposed to just giving it to you because you happen to excel at a lot of different things. Hone in on what you're truly good at and then show your boss that that's the way, that's the place. for you and your life will dramatically change. I don't do anything that I don't love to do. And that's a bold statement because most people are doing what they don't love to do every day. Ah, and that's a travesty, my friend. You live your whole life waking up 70 years old to retire, living a life that you really didn't love. That's sad shit. Don't do that. Pinch yourself. Tell yourself, I'm waking up out of the dream. I'm gonna build these habits, these rock solid habits, and I'm going to transform my life. Next up, have a weekly check in. This is number 11. We've gone over 11 things today to build habits. I know a lot of these are simple. A lot of these are gonna be reminders. I promise you, you're gonna build up so much motivation, so much more momentum, and your life is gonna shift significantly. So, the last one. Last but not least, you get a weekly check-in and have a check-in partner. Do this with relationships. Bailey and I do this every week. Spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, financial. Where are you? Scale of one to ten. If you're not a 10, why aren't you there? You're an eight. What's it going to take to get there? What do you need from me to help you get there? How can I support you in this? It's important. that weekly check-in will change your life, I promise you. So I appreciate every single person that listened to this podcast. We got 22 hardcore minutes, action-packed things that you can do, simple yet profound ways to build these rock-solid habits to propel you to the life of your dreams. You are propelled. I see you, my friend. And life is gonna get better and better, I promise. Also, if you're looking to build a rock-solid habit first thing in the morning that'll dramatically shift your life, like I did 13 years ago, add green juice to your life. Organifi Green Juice is the best. It's got ashwagandha, KSM-600 milligrams, which lowers stress in clinical trials 29%, which is Amazing. A lot of people are chronically stressed out. Guess what? If you're stressed out, you can't think straight. If you can't think straight, your mind's off, you're not in that zen place. Maybe it's causing hypertension in your body. Maybe you've got, you know, aches and pains because you're not getting enough nutrients. Adding in green juice with this ashwagandha, the chlorella, the spirulina, the lemon, the beet juice powder, all the different extracts are going to help you in this process, I promise. So I'll leave a link in my show notes. If you use coupon code drew, you get 20 off today. One of the best habits I've ever done is add more nutrition in my life. Even when I was 40 pounds overweight, I wasn't hungry for more food, but I was starving for micronutrients. And I think that's the big distinction here, folks. Most people that are chronically obese or even a little bit overweight, they're starving for nutrients. I don't look at overweight people and say, Hey, that's a big person that's overweight, that's obese. Like, they shame on them. You know, they're eating way too much food. No, they're crying outside. Their bodies are crying. They just need more micronutrients, more mother nature, more planting their feet on the earth, more sunshine, more of these habits, this pursuit of happiness, setting goals, crossing them off the list. getting more dopamine, more serotonin in their life, having relationships that can lead to an overwhelming sense of love and connection. And guess what? Their body naturally corrects itself. It just does what it's supposed to do. The body is the most multi-dimensional healing mechanism on the planet. This ancient technology, it's what we call our human bodies that we take for granted. There are temples. So what are you putting in that body? Put some green juice in it. Use coupon code Drew 20% off O-R-G-A-N-I-F-I.com. Go there, get some green juice. I got nothing but love for you, my friends. Thanks for listening to this. If you listen to all 11 things, I know you're the type of person that's taking your life to the next level. You're pushing it. You are my people. I see you family out there doing big things. If there's any way I can support you, let me know. Send me a DM on Instagram. How any of these that transformed your life. Share it with your friends, your family. Get them going on the enrollment train, the weekly check-ins. You got this. Let's go. We're in this together.
