Podcast episode "28: Yoga of Nutrition" by Drew Canole presenting the concept of a mindful, reverent approach to eating (inspired by Omran Mikhail Ivanhoff). Drew recounts a week-long retreat in the south of France where silent, focused communal meals and sensory practices (smelling food, slow eating, eye-gazing) transformed his appreciation of food, reduced appetite, and produced perceived energetic/clairvoyant effects. The episode mixes historical background on Ivanhoff, practical challenges (try one silent meal or a seven-day experiment), and broader claims about water, magnetic/etheric bodies, and social coherence.

Hey, guys. Welcome to the Drew and you show. Today we're talking about the yoga of nutrition. And it's one of my favorite yogas. I learned it from the work of Omran Mikhail Ivanhoff. I had the luxury and the privilege and the blessing of actually going to the south of France last year and studying his work. He was around in the 1930s, teacher, healer, ascended being literally in human flesh, doing all types of good work for people over there. And all of his writings have been translated. He never wrote, but all of his speeches, because he spoke in French, would be translated into English. And they're some of the best books I've ever read in my life. And you can get them on YouTube, check them out, and they're just super, super powerful. He's. He was born in Bulgaria, actually, in 1900. And in 1937, he brought a whole university to the south of France for the Great White Brotherhood. And I think it's. It's super powerful to find people that we resonate with in our lives that have shown us new ways of being. And one of the ways of being that I learned while being over there is the yoga of nutrition. And it's one of the most powerful yogas, I believe, you know, and if you're a yogi and you've done hatha and you've done agni, and you've done all these different yoga practices, shaktipat, and you've meditated and you've chanted and you've done all these things, but you haven't really mastered. I believe it's pronounced rani Yoga, and rani means nutrition in Bulgarian. Then this is a practice that you definitely want to add into your life. Because I know for me, it radically changed everything. I was over in the south of France, and.
You know, we're there, and this was a year ago, and we're eating with 50 other men and women, and we're eating in complete silence. And we're focused on being quiet as we eat. We're focused on our movements. You know, literally, if you cut something on your plate and you hear the knife hit the plate, the whole room, 50 people's gonna hear it. So it's. It was actually a sign of intelligence, according to Mikhail Omron Ivanhoe's work, to be quiet, to be still, and eating became an exercise of meditation versus just throwing food in our bodies. Because how often do we just eat for sustenance? And we eat quickly, right? We've been brainwashed to believe fast food is the thing that we need. So we're Constantly devouring food without even taking into account what we're eating. Then you have the people on the opposite spectrum that are weighing out all their chicken breast and their sweet potatoes and their broccoli, and they're eating the same thing at every meal. But are they even conscious of the etheric properties of the food? Have they even sat with the medicine of the broccoli or the dandelion greens or the wild caught salmon? Do they know what each one of those foods actually represent in the etheric realm? And when we do that, when we get still, when we give reverence for the plants, for the animals, for the mineral kingdom, as we eat in stillness, it's likened to a flower opening up and its essence, its spiritual essence starts to come out. And let me tell you, the fragrance is completely different when you really take. I was with friend Jason and Rebecca and we were eating at this restaurant and we would spend literally a minute to two minutes smelling every single food that came out before we ate it. And it was so powerful.
Because you would smell things that you have never smelled in your life. You would be literally transvest to a completely different place where the food was being harvest harvested, where you would see the people working on the farm, where you would feel the rain hitting the soil for the plants that are in it that went into the making of it. And it was deeply, deeply, deeply spiritual. So that's why this type of yoga, I believe is the best. We eat what, three to four times a day for some people. How conscious are we of eating now?
So I challenge you, if you're listening to the Drew and you show today, to start to take more time and attention with what you eat. Maybe a seven day challenge after the show comes out. Maybe it's just one meal. Can I eat one meal in complete silence by myself, right? Can I eat one meal in complete silence with somebody else? Three, four people? Can I encourage everybody to connect so intimately with their food that it creates a whole different experience?
How powerful would that be? Because I will tell you, after doing this for seven days in the south of France, my awareness opened up. My connection to life opened up. I literally, at a few of the meals, I cried like I had tears coming out of my eyes for just how, how much I took the food for granted, which I believe we're doing now. All these, the commercialized farming, the monocropping, it makes me sick to my stomach.
But when we really sit and we give reverence for every single thing on the plate, one thing happens. We don't need to eat as much. So talk about weight management, weight loss, whatever you want to call it. If you're looking for your ideal body, then start to look forward to this type of Harani yoga, and it will literally, like, you'll eat 3, 400, 500 calories less every day without even trying, just because the food is so satiating and you want to take your time with it. A simple tomato becomes likened to literally the best filet that you've ever had in your life. If you're a meat eater.
And I know it was a vegan diet primarily, we did have some white fish on a couple of the days. But literally this tomato, grown in the sun from the garden with just a little Celtic sea salt and some really good olive oil, became the best tomato I had ever had in my life because of the reverence. So it doesn't matter. Essentially. Hopefully you're eating organic food that is prepared right, that doesn't have all types of chemicals and heavy metals and these other things on it. But literally any food you eat becomes the best food you've ever had. I promise you.
So doing this type of yoga, super powerful. So many people have all these diverse conditions, diseases, all kinds of discord in the body. And I believe if we really stopped and we had great care for the choices that we're putting in our mouth, not only are you are what you eat, right? You are what you absorb, you are what you eat absorbs. So it's the whole structure of what we're putting in our tissue and our muscle skeleton, our central nervous system and our etheric body. So not only are we getting the nutrients that we need as far as vitamins and minerals and aminos, right, all the essential things, but we're also getting the etheric benefits of it as well. So. And we know now that the magnetic body is where I believe the soul is. So if we're eating foods that add to our magnetic body, give us more resonance, more heart coherence, then we start to eat as one. And when we're silent and let's say there's three to four of us or 50, and we're all eating in reverence, something happens that we could call it hive mind for the good of all versus the diseased hive mind, right? Or the Watiko, as the indigenous people call it, which is running rampant right now, people are just buying into anything that's thrown at them. So when we stop, when we get still, when we make eating our meditation practice, it literally would add another hour to some people's day. An Hour and a half meditation. And if you're not meditating now for 20 minutes in the morning or 20 minutes in the afternoon, or even 5 and 5, whatever, imagine adding this in, how much this is going to add to your etheric body. But I can't tell you to do this. I can only explain the stories that I've had with it. There's been supernatural experiences as well. Your. For me, what I noticed is definitely I'm much more, what would be called clairvoyant when I do this regularly. And it's, it's almost like you're. Instead of being hooked to the artificial cloud on like cell phones and devices on MacBooks and all this other stuff, there's. You're hooked to the invisible formless infinite mind, divine design cloud. So all the information that you could ever imagine starts to come. And yeah, it's a different type of electrical current that you feel in your body when you start eating this way. There's more energy to it, there's more clarity. Your body loves it. And also the, the energetic bodies of the food that you're actually consuming loves it too. So I know this is a short episode this morning. I just. Number one, I want to encourage you to start this yoga practice. Maybe it's just one meal over the next seven days. And I also want to encourage you to reach out to me on Instagram, tell me what your experience was like when you really took time to smell every single food, to be quiet, to sit in presence. And if you're eating with somebody, to eye gaze or spend time with them really being present. Because again, how, and you know, I've talked about this in the past, but how you do one thing is how you do everything. We've heard that before. And if somebody can sit in presence over a 30 minute meal, think about how much more present we can be with the people we love, our kids. Think about how much more present we can be with our people. We work with our teammates. No matter what we're doing in the world. When you have that type of presence, the world becomes more magical. The world opens up to more possibility. You shift timelines. You know, maybe you're existing somewhere in a timeline that's been unfavorable for you. Maybe it's been hard, maybe there's been things that have come up over the past year, year and a half that are unimaginable compared to the past 20 years that you've been on the planet or whatever it is. When you start to do the small things, it becomes a lot Easier for those big things to start to line up. I promise you. I can tell a lot about how somebody eats. And Omran talks about this in his book the Yoga of Nutrition. But if I'm eating dinner and I'm at a, you know, a business meeting and I'm sitting with all these wealthy people, and I've been in tons of these meetings with Organifi. You guys like networking, entrepreneur stuff. You know how it is over the past five, six years. And I'm always drawn to the person that has presence while they consume the food that they're eating. Most people are so disconnected. I'll have another. And they're like spilling drinks all over the place.
You know, they're. They're dropping their knives and forks on the floor, they're hitting their water cup over. It's just clumsy. And there's no judgment coming from me on that. But if they're clumsy in the small things, how clumsy are they in dealing with their business affairs, Right? But it's the person that has this precision and this presence. They're doing everything with great detail. Think about the micro movements of picking a cup up at the table and measuring the distance. And if the bottle of water came out of the fridge and there's water on the outside, well, it may slip out of my hand, so I'm going to pick it up with my napkin. There's small micro movements of intelligence in that. And when we start living in accordance with Mother Nature, those natural laws for evolution start to exist in our soul, in our etheric body, because we become connected to everything. You're not disconnected from the food you eat. In fact, the relationship. Maidan, who I've been working with for 13 years, once told me, and it's so simple. And I never get it until later on because I can be pretty dense in the head. But he asked me, he's like, what's your relationship like to water? Most people have a ineffective relationship to water.
And water runs from them. And that's all he said, right? Something like that. Maybe I butchered it. But think about how profound that statement is and what we know about water, right? You have water that is structured water that is harmonious water that is healing. There's healing portals all over the earth with water. And then you also have what would be called flat water or just base water, whatever you want to call it. And that is the unstructured water that most people are drinking. Insert chemicals, insert, you know, birth control now, because women are. It's in the tap water and everything else. So your relationship, what kind of water, number one, are you drinking? And number two, even more importantly, is what's your relationship like to that? Are you just pounding water just to be hydrated as a human, or are you actually saying thank you, thank you, thank you water? Because water is a storage device. Water is crystalline in nature. Your body's 99% water. Now. We have MRI machines that are advanced enough to actually pick that up. So are you thanking it? Are you transporting love into it? If you're trying to heal a condition, or let's say you are healing a condition to be more positive in orientation, are you imprinting that on it? Do you have an affirmation statement next to your water station? Are you playing music for your water? Right? Are you loving the water that you're putting in your body? Because when you do that, I promise you the water in your body will start to respond.
Because as above, so below, as within, so without that we've learned in my previous podcast in the Kybalion, right, the book. So even that one relationship with water, people are so disconnected from. Look at the water shortages on Earth right now. We wonder why it doesn't want to rain. Here in Arizona and some other parts of the world, we've become so disconnected from it. We've lost reverence, we've lost appreciation. And what we don't appreciate. You think it's going to come out, you think it's going to rain. But if humans could notice how powerful they are, and we had more appreciation, we. We had more reverence, and we used it to benefit the whole versus a few individuals.
Then our whole entire world would shift. But it's having that level of reverence. I believe if the whole world. And the reason I'm doing this podcast, and I know it's one of the most simple podcasts I've ever done, is saying, hey, you guys, try to eat in silence, try to smell your food, try to embark upon this type of yoga.
It will be probably one of the single greatest moments that will transform your life. Because the cascading effects of what could happen after you do this once or twice, it could be, now you're paying more attention to relationships to be more present with the people that you love. Maybe it's, you know what? I haven't really been even present with the person that I'm spending the most time with in my life. I want to apologize. I want to bring this relationship back up to where it should be. I want to forgive myself, right? Or maybe it's in business. Maybe it's in organization of your house. If your car is messy, you have a messy mind. If your house is messy, you have a messy house or a messy mind, mental house. So maybe there's that. So all these cascading events could start to shift and change when you do this. So what's your relationship like to food? Not only are you, you are what you eat, but you are what you eat absorbs and we're talking about not only absorbs in your physical body, but your energetic, your spiritual, your auric field, all the different bodies that you have.
So there's different types of cameras that actually take photos of the auric fields, of plants, of food and that I believe that magnetic field of whatever you're consuming coalesce with your own internal magnetic field first before you actually even consume it.
Have you ever sat with a piece of fruit or a veg, A veggie. And you just loved and you admired it so much that you didn't even need to eat it that you got satiated from the energy of it?
Right. Imagine doing that more in your life. How's that going to change things for you? Super powerful, super deep, super profound, but super simple. So if you love these simple practices in your life, I encourage you to do it. Next seven days I'm going to give away a 30 day supply of Organifi for somebody that messages me on Instagram and actually does this. I'm going to pick one person, I'll announce it and make sure you hit my text message list up. That'll be on there as well. I can leave it in the show notes. Text that 310 number and you'll be added to my text list which I love. Developing personal relationships with people like that. So hit that up. Leave a review on itunes for me please, if you got anything out of this. When we leave reviews, it boosts up the rankings of this show. I think within our first month we were like 52 in the world for personal development. Not that we need to track or show how valid we are in this universe because none of that really matters in my world. What matters is the more souls, the more lives we can change right now. And only the Lord knows how many people are hurting, how many people feel alone, how many people feel unheard, how many people are scared, how many people are living in fear because of some of the events that are happening on earth. So we are powerful as one when we're together. Which is why for the past 11 years I've been saying we're in this together and My only intent in this show is to bring more harmony in your life and the life of the people that you love. So, Drew Canole, thanks for listening to the Drew and you show this morning. Love you guys so much. Talk soon.
