Hey, guys. Drew Canole. Welcome to the Drew. And you show. One of the things I'm talking about today, which is big for a lot of people, is imposter syndrome. Oh. Have you ever dealt with imposter syndrome? It's a very real thing, right? I've dealt with it in my life over and over again. You hit a level or you hit a wall, and all of a sudden you're confronted with your own ego, your own self, and it's this feeling of inadequacy, and it's all ste coming from low self worth. Maybe we're not qualified to do something. Maybe we don't have it within us to actually get what we really want in this life. And you've seen the Venn diagram of the comfort zone where there's a little box of what you really want and it's outside of your comfort zone, which is like 99 of where people stay. Remember that. So this fear is actually coined in 1978 by a clinical psychologist, Pauline Rose Clance and Summer.
So you take that. This term was coined in 1978 by clinical psychologists Pauline Rose Clance and Suzanne A. Lymes. And it's marked as the persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud or an inability to internalize accomplishments. There's these common thoughts, I must not fail. I feel like a fake. It's all down to my luck, right? I must be lucky to do this. Success isn't really that big of a deal. And in my life, I've experienced this especially in, in the realm of wealth. You know, having a mom growing up as a jan. My mom was a housekeeper, janitor, and my dad was a truck driver. So there wasn't really a lot of wealth consciousness taught to me at a young age. They had huge hearts, which is worth more than all the money in the world. And they taught me things that are far more important than this wealth frequency. But again, I wasn't taught that. So there's been many times where I'm up against a wall in dealing with finance and dealing with building an, you know, with almost 100 employees. I mean, you'd imagine when you're working with potential investors, when you're working with attorneys and legal departments that are outside of your comfort zone, this imposter syndrome can creep its ugly head up in it. But don't worry, you're not alone. I think millions of CEOs, entrepreneurs, even moms, dads, who, no matter what you do on this planet, you've probably been plagued by this consistent relentlessness of self doubt. And unworthy worthiness. Right? We're programmed to feel unworthy. If you look out in the media today and you look at the billboards, it's all about, you know, anti aging, looking better. Look at these beautiful people. You want to be like this. So it's constantly impressed upon our mind that where we are isn't where we should be. You know, there's always this journey of more, this dopamine centric society that we live in of you need more of this, you need more of that. And then once you get there, you're going to be successful. So there's this get there mentality. And if you knew how powerful you really were in this moment, not needing anything, you're already whole and complete. Wholeness is oneness. And every single other person in your life is connected to you through this, well, then that would probably put the majority of e commerce and business out of business.
Right? And medicine and everything else. If you really were operating from that place. And you might not even need your shoes because you've probably transcended into a different dimension. So now that we're back down to earth, you and I are sitting here in the physical, we have these things that come up, right? So it's important to, I think, number one, and this isn't something a lot of people talk about, but because there's so many unconscious impressions upon your subconscious mind, 99% of what you do is in the unconscious. You've heard me talk about the monkey riding the elephant. It's that ancient Hindu photo. And the monkey is your conscious mind and the elephant is your unconscious. It's gonna. You're gonna be really hard pressed to do anything that you really want in your life if you can't get the elephant to move. And a lot of people just chatter, the monkey minds chattering all day long relentlessly. You're not good enough. You got this going on. You're an idiot. Look at that mistake you made last year, 10 years ago. You're still gonna hold on to it because it's in your body. So we got to get the unconscious to release it. All the billboards, all the propaganda, all the stuff that says you need to be somewhere where you're not. So how do we do that? For me, self hypnosis was huge. Listening to audio before I go to bed, there's a bunch of YouTube videos. You guys, this is all free stuff. Make sure it's legit. Listen to the or read the testimonials. Because sometimes those YouTube videos online, they embed unconscious things. That you don't really want in your unconscious. So just make sure it's of a high quality source. There's also app that you can get. I have a great app I've listened to probably a thousand times by Glenn Harold. It's an 8, 852 hertz. He's got another one. 528, 432. All of the solfeggio frequencies with this melodious voice of Glenn Harrod. He's got like this beautiful accent, but I wish I had an accent like that. That'd be cool. So with that being said, you can always go about it that way. Self hypnosis, if it's a money thing. You've probably seen some of my videos where I talk about laying cash out all over my house, lighting green candles, putting sticky notes on the bathroom mirror, of whatever I'm.
Setting in my phone alerts to remind me of how worthy I am. You are worthy. Something as simple as that pops up three or four times a day. And as it pops up, I'm really trying to conjure up the feeling of it, of feeling worthy. So these are all unconscious things that you can do, right? And then there's the physical stuff that we get to do as well because we're 3D beings in our biology. So number one, I would say it's important to recognize your feelings in it. What is this feeling? Where is it coming from? Where is it in my body? Oftentimes I'll work with people and they'll have a knee pain. And I'm like, why don't you ask your knee? What, what's in store? You know, what do you got going on down there? Knee. What do you need from me? I haven't been listening to you. Knee. What do you got for me now? Knee. Huh? What's going on? Knee. And then just get silent. I know that sounds funny, but 99% of the time your knee is going to have information for you that you didn't have. And it's all coming from your unconscious. So you got to get still and let those feelings identify the feelings. What is it? And then once you have the awareness of it, take it a level deeper. Okay? Have this feeling around this. Where does that come from? Well, it comes from when I was 4 years old and I actually, this is a true story. I was seven and I was in front of class and it was my first time speaking at a new school because we. I transferred schools a few different times as a kid and I had to stand up in Front of the class. And there was this really cute girl. I remember I had a crush on her. And I had white pants on, mind you. And I'm giving a speech and I got so nervous that I passed out and I actually pissed my pants in front of the class as a seven year old. So I'm laying on the ground, my pants are all wet. Kids were like laughing. I come out of it and I realized that I just urinated in my pants. And then I vowed to never speak in front of a group again. Can you imagine? So, yeah. And that made me so nervous growing up. Like, even in my. When I was in my teens, all the way into my 20s, I was nervous. So I really had to deal with the feelings of it. Why do I feel this way? Okay, that happened when you were seven. That was so long ago, nobody even remembers it. But you gotta let it out too. Number two would be definitely letting it out. So. And knowing that as you let it out, more people have the same fear. When you share it, like Brene Brown talks about that vulnerability, then it creates it more bearable for you. It transmutes it. So just get rid of it. Let it out of you. And then I think it's okay to reconsider your perceptions of yourself. Who are you? And what's your perception of your own value? You know, how do you bring value into the world? Right? Oftentimes it's not with what you do, but it's simply by who you be. So once you start to recognize that, you can reconsider your perception of what failure would mean to you. So regardless of. And one thing that I've really gotten clear on, regardless of how successful we are at Organifi or what I'm doing in the world with the different pursuits that I'm up to, that has nothing to do with me, right? I give all my glory to God to source. He's my business partner, she's my business partner. And when I'm in that state, then regardless of how high the highs are, I can stay neutral. And regardless of how low the lows are, I can also stay neutral. Neutral is a great place to be for me. I love being in the zone, consistently in the spot. I used to ride the highs, I used to love the dopamine rushes and all the neurochemicals that came with getting high on your own supply. But then I realized that you, you also got low on your lows. So that be like the Zen master, like right in the middle. It's a very beautiful place to be. You're just witnessing it, you're just observing it. And your perception of failure completely shifts. The more centered, the more neutral you become. Yeah. Remind yourself that this body's temporary, that this is just your avatar suit. You've done this thousands of times. That's helpful for me billions of times or whatever. You're an old ass soul. Just so that I'm reminding you, if you're listening to this, you gotta be old. And then number four would be just consistently reaffirm your self worth, like I said. And you can do it on an unconscious level, which is more important, I think. I also think it's important to. And one thing I've had the opportunity to do in my life is called Ascension Leadership Academy. You may want to check that out. My friend Jenna and Brad have this beautiful thing in Austin where you go through like a week or a two week long course and they give you feedback of how you're showing up in the world, but also they give you acknowledgement. And I promise you, the acknowledgement that you get from this group of strangers will forever change your life when you go through these courses. And it just reaffirms like your own self worth in a way that's it's total environmental, it's total experience learning and it's super, super powerful. So you build these relationships with these complete strangers and by the time you leave, you have so much energy and enthusiasm for what you're creating in life as a leader that it just bolsters up your self worth. So if you are feeling undeserving, I think it's good to refresh in your mind. One of my coaches in the past, Michael Nady, he had this book called the trophy Room. I believe it was called. We got to have him on the show too, by the way. He's a dynamic human. But in the trophy room, you literally visualize yourself going up an elevator to the top floor of this building that you own. And in the top floor of the building that you own, you go in this room and as you go in the room, you're literally looking at all the trophies that you've created in your life. And these are all the past accomplishments. Big, large, small, it doesn't matter. And as you look at these trophies, you feel what it feels like to have done that thing. Like one of mine would be definitely Sage. My little dog. Adopting him and loving him up and just having a relationship with this canine for stuff. One of them for you may be your kids. I think that's when you go in the trophy room every day, and you remember all the stuff that you've created and you've accomplished. It helps you recognize your own success, right? So that you can stop downplaying it. You know, how powerful you are. Stop playing small. Go into your trophy room, check it out. If you're feeling undeserving and you want to remember your accomplishments, make this an exercise. Grab a piece of music that's emotional. That way you can anchor it into your cellular structure of your human body matrix and really start to go there, dig into it. Next thing you want to do, guys, is really start to refrain from comparison. Ah, comparison. It's all over the place, right? There's so many famous people doing things better than what you do, so why even bother? So you might as well not do anything at all. And that's such a crock of BS because you, like, you have your own fingerprint, right? You have your own. You have your own identity. You're not some cookie cutter on an assembly line. You can put your own spin on anything that you do. And remember every single person was in your place at one point. So regardless of the challenges and the struggles that they were up against, they had to overcome it as well. And you get to, too. This is a blessing. You are blessed to go through the journey that you are. And with consistency, perseverance. Put your horse blinders on, if you want to call it that. Stay focused on your own ride, your own mission. This is your journey, has nothing to do with anybody else. And once we really start to value our own morals, our values, our principles, our strengths, our characteristics, we start to see our true potential. Then we can start to realize that we have so much to offer. You have so much to offer the world, my friend. So why would you ever compare? I like the idea of completing, not comparing. So with other humans, how can I complete you? How can I give to you? Even if you're light years ahead of where I am in a certain sector, field, or business or whatever else it is, I'm still gonna complete you, right? And I'm gonna look at you as if you are that perfect child of God. And I'm just gonna give so much love to you because I know that the universe will just deliver that straight back to me. And it's happened time and time again in my life, my friends. So who would be perceived as the biggest competitors in any business that I've ran in the past or I'm running, I always go to them first. I'm like, hey, can we have coffee? Can we sit down? I'd love to take you to lunch. I'd love to get to know you. Maybe we can have some type of mind share. And nobody's ever said no. So people want to help people, especially genuine people that believe in them. So believe in your competitors. Help them, you know, send them tips and tools that they can take their business to the next level. Like why are we in this competitive society in the first place? There's so many other realms and dimensions where competition doesn't even exist. It's this predation of society that we live in where we feel like we have to be above our brothers and sisters and that goes outside the law of Mother Nature. Mother Nature works in complete harmony always and always. How can you bring more of that, the law of oneness, right into your own business, into your own life?
So I think that's super powerful to my friend.
And also remember, this is a big part of imposter syndrome. Those feelings that you get aren't real.
And oftentimes we try to fix feelings.
You can't fix feelings. I'm sorry. We could go back into the Esther hick stuff and we could change our thought, we could change our consciousness, we could change our will and the desire which will imprint upon our prefrontal cortex a different thought which could create a different feeling. Because thoughts, I believe, come before feelings.
So if you're thinking that you can definitely change how you feel, you can speak differently. Abracadabra. As I speak it, it is created. You could start to say different things about how you believe in yourself, about how you're going to nail this speech. If you're feeling imposter syndrome, come up because you're speaking in front of a hundred people or whatever, you know, you could start to speak with the end in mind. I can't believe how well that went. Like, it's incredible how great that speech was. I'm honored and inspired by you. Say your name to yourself. Act like you're speaking to yourself. Right? So pursue your goals with. Without.
Buying too much into the way that you feel. Because there's so many times, guys, when I was on my transformation journey, and I still am every day I go to the gym four or five days a week at least. And I would say at least one day a week, you're not really feeling like it. I don't feel like going to the gym, but I still go because I'm at the end already in my head. It's all these endorphins that I get from working out, from expressing dominion over this Physical meat sack. Right.
How can we live with that end and then apply that to the cellular structure of our very being? Not operating in the feelings of it, but you're beyond your feelings. The you is beyond your thinking. The you that it is, really the multidimensional self of you is so much more powerful than you could ever imagine. So if this was a character in a movie and you were the director directing the actor, what would you have the actor do in those moments? That's a good way to look at it. What would the director say? Hey, actor, I know you're not really feeling like this, but we got a show to put on. This is your life. You get a very limited time in this life experience.
So you want to live it with all the life that you have. And I would highly encourage you to do that thing that you're not feeling like doing. And then you get out there and you do it. Then over time, you build your willpower muscles. Like any muscle, willpower takes a little bit of time to build up. Motivation takes a little bit of time to build up. You got your motivation muscles, you got your willpower muscles. So all of these things, there's a formula for each and every one of them. And I can talk about those individually on a different podcast for you. But know that you are the director. You're the actor, you're the orchestra playing the music. You're the story, the plot, the narrative. You are the all of your life experience.
And when you start living from that standpoint, it just becomes so much easier, my friend. It's hard to have imposter syndrome when you knew. When you know what's walking on the left and the right side of you everywhere you go throughout the day. I believe, and it is said this in the Bible, one with God is the majority. And if you know that that force that animates the whole entire world, that has this rock traveling through space at 30,000 miles an hour or around a giant fireball in the sky, then you wouldn't question. I think source rests in action. So there's so much in the stillness. Everything's getting done.
There's nothing for you to do other than recognize your own magnificence, your own brilliance, and calibrate to that energy. And then from that calibration, life becomes effortless. Life was never meant to be a struggle, which is also a great book by Stuart Wild, and tune into that energy. Tune into that frequency, My friend, Imposter syndrome is very real in the 3D for a lot of people. And it has been throughout my life too. So the more we share it, the more vulnerable, the more we express it, the easier it is to deal with. So we talked about a lot today. I gave you several strategies to actually overcome it. A few of those were unconscious impression things that you can do with self hypnosis, setting alerts on your phone, habit stacking is always a good thing to do to build up your self worth muscles. But ultimately identifying the feelings of it, tracing it back into time and letting it out. Reconsider the perception on the timeline where you were and where you are now going over in the trophy room, I talked about that with Michael Nitty. Doing that is a super powerful exercise. Get outside of comparison, start completing other people and then, yeah, pursue your goal, everything that you got, regardless of what you're feeling in the moment, go after it. So hopefully this was helpful. I know imposter syndrome is a big deal. It's something to work on in yourself, in this life, in this eternal now. And I'm so blessed to be a guide on the side, helping you be the guru of your own life experience, my friend. Make sure you head on over to Amazon. Make sure you head on over to Amazon. Check it out.
