Hey, thank you so much for having me on today. It is such an honor to be here and with people likened to yourselves that are changing the World through food and nutrition. This is awesome.
We are so thrilled to have you. Like I told you, Susie and I have been binge watching your videos today and just enjoying them so much. I've already got some that I'm going to be starting to post in our Facebook group because I think that there's so much inspiration that can be gained from exactly what you're doing. And, like, you're like the male version of us. Like, it was just so great to watch. I was like, oh, that's what we say. And then the toothpaste recipes, I was like, susie, oh, my God, are you serious right now? Susie's obsessed with recipes for healing teeth. The teeth.
I love it. Yeah. The turmeric toothpaste, it actually works. It actually really, really whitens your teeth, as you already know.
That is.
But that is one I have not heard before. You. And I'm obsessed with all things natural for teeth, so I'm going to try that.
Yeah.
I'm kind of curious because turmeric is, like, really yellowy brown.
Yeah. But it's, you know, it looks pretty gnarly. It looks like you're actually brushing your teeth with Cheeto while you're doing it.
Right.
But afterwards it's like you have some nice, white, shiny Chiclets.
I'm trying tonight, for anyone who may not know, can you tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do?
Yeah. So who I am is a man that is radically passionate about helping people find their purpose, their passion, their mission. And I do that through waking people up on a cellular level through nutrition, similar to what you two do. Helping people transform their physical body is a small part of what we do at FitLife and Organifi. But I like to think that our big, hairy, audacious goal, if we want to call it that, is to get 1.6 billion people drinking green juice every single day, because that's how many people are actually drinking Coca Cola every day.
1.6 billion.
So if we can change the vibration in the food people are consuming, then we can start to shift the whole entire planet. And there is no wonder, you know, like, we see all this chaos on the news and all the stuff that's happening, I don't need to go into it, but I believe nutrition plays a huge role in the way people feel.
It's true.
You do, too. So I'm here to make people feel good. I'm here to help them experience radical amounts of joy, love, and have fun. Because everyone wants to have fun in life. And if you're a three dimensional meat suit, as I like to call it, is not operating at its fullest. That's something that we get to work on. I'm here to help people do that.
What a beautiful mission. Now that I know how many people consume soda, I'm going to make that part of our mission too because, wow, ditch that soda, pick up that green juice, everything will start to shift, you know?
Yeah, it's crazy. Like once you start to shift, your internal vibration, the type of things that you materialize in the external world will blow you away.
And that's exactly what happened to me.
I was just thinking about that statistic and like, okay, so we know soda's bad enough, but then some people drink diet. Out of that 1.6 billion, how many are drinking diet, which is worse, which can be a neurotoxin if that stuff is heated, you know, so. Wow.
Yeah, neurotoxin, excitotoxin, like, you name it. Some of the worst stuff you could probably put in your body. And I did it for years. I was a much larger cannoli than I am now.
You were a big cannoli?
I was definitely about 40 pounds overweight, out of shape. Seven years ago. And I had a man introduce me to my first green juice. And it was just three ingredients. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was kale, it was Swiss chard, and it was pear. And I drank this thing I was used to having like Red Bull and you know, know the monster energy drinks. And I was just, I was doing mortgages, I was helping people credit. I was not happy. I was going out every weekend and drinking alcohol and just escaping my life.
I don't know what that's like. What do you mean? Yeah.
And then we have. Every hero has their journey. But I had this, this breakdown moment where I saw myself literally die in a dream. And oh my God, I saw the people that would be around me, given that. We'll call it like the life path or the timeline, if you want to get into like timeline theory and stuff. And I saw how few people actually showed up in the difference that I made in other people's lives because I was so consumed and so focused on me. And it woke me up literally like the next morning. I'm like, if I'm going to do one thing in this life, I'm going to contribute and give back to others. And I had a mentor at the time, Frank. He's this 87 year old sage. Like, just imagine like a Jedi, you go in there and he Teaches you the way how to use the force. And this was meeting Frank every single morning like this for two years. And I finally listened, and I started drinking copious amounts of green juice every day. 32 ounces. And then I did a fast. So I did seven days of nothing but green juice, and I lost about 15 pounds.
Wow.
And the first, I would say, two and a half to three weeks. Some of that was water, as you know. It gave me the results and the motivation that I needed to continue to lose the rest of the 40 pounds in 90 days. And I documented it. I posted it on YouTube and Facebook, and within about 90 days, I had, like 350,000 followers back seven years ago.
This is incredible.
Hundreds of transformations were pouring in of people juicing. This was before, like, fat, sick, and nearly dead. And it was almost before, like, any influencer was really on YouTube. Like, influencers were just starting to use it.
There was no word for influencer, right?
Yeah, there was no word for influencer back then. So I was like, the og.
Yeah.
You'Re the granddaddy of the.
I think of Joe Cross as the OG of juicing. But really, you were there.
It's really. It's ancient Egypt. It's hypocrisies. It's ancient technology, really, That's. You know, some would argue that they had more advanced technology than we have today. And I believe it. Juicing was just one of the things that we got from them. They used to crush veggies with huge rocks. Hypocrisies would make elixirs out of stuff like that back in the day. And he was the father of modern medicine, as you know. Yeah, there's just so much good stuff you can get when you start liquefying the enzymes and the aminos and all the stuff that's in the adaptogens and the roots and the. The different vegetables that are out there. It's insane what it does for your body. Have you guys ever met Charlotte Gerson?
We haven't met her, but yeah, we're huge followers of her work.
Yeah, she's like a vortex of life. You look in this woman's eyes, and she just radiates life. Like, she's so tapped in. She literally still drinks like, six to eight juices a day and does multiple enemas every single day. Like, it's insane.
Wow. You know, and so I've done this, too, but not on a daily basis, but I've done the five days. I've done more than five. But the one I remember, that was the most Intense was the five days of green juice, supplements, colonics, and I lost five pounds in five days. And that was the first. And I didn't have as much to lose. Right. That was the first time I discovered the power of this. And the mental clarity that came along with the juicing was incredible. It was nothing I had ever experienced before. It was. I was connected. I was on fire. I was downloading from the universe, you know?
Yeah, I feel the same way. I just wanted to let you know that I really hear this in your sincerity, in your voice. It's profound, what the first juice cleanse can actually do for you. It blew me away, too. The clarity, that creativity, the new consistency that I got from it, the willpower, the determination that I built up from that first cleanse changed my life completely.
And so you've lost weight, you've gotten to the place you wanted to go, and how did you continue? You were just so motivated. Like, how did you not fall back into your old patterns and that kind of stuff?
We do what's called the whydentity, and we. It's part of our hiring process, too. So we, like, literally, we haven't done it in a while, but we used to sit down and we would record a new employee upon arriving to our company, and we would record why they're there, what do they want to see happen in 90 days? What do they want to hear from the rest of the company? What do they want to feel, and what does it look like? So we would ask them these questions. We would have people literally crying because, like, physically, they were leaving a job that they didn't love, that they weren't tapped into, that they weren't really utilizing their fullest expression of their life in the work that they were doing. And they came to us because they wanted to make a difference in other people's lives. So the whydentity really helped me. Answering those questions day in and day out and having a why, like we say a why, that makes you cry.
I love this. This is so smart.
So returning to the why every day and the vision for something outside of yourself is really what helped me stay consistent. Because I realized it wasn't about Drew. It wasn't about the results that I had. The ego, Drew, you know, the. It wasn't about making videos to get likes. It wasn't about how many people could I reach and how much engagement could I get. It wasn't a popularity contest back then, and it isn't now. It is more about what's the difference, even if it's just one email that I get every day and somebody helped. It helped. Somebody with their autoimmune disease or, you know, their diabetes or their anxiety went away because they've been drinking green juice. That's what fuels me and that's what wakes me up in the morning. So that's why I love what I do so much, is because there's nothing, there's no greater cosmic gift you can give to somebody than helping them heal from the inside out.
Amen to that.
I know you're preaching our language, man. It's like that's exactly what we. That's what we try to do. And I hear you speak, and it's just you're so eloquent. And I think part of the reason that you rose to the, you know, I don't know what the right word is influential level that you've rose to is because of your authenticity and because of sharing the truth. And, you know, when you watch your videos, it looks like I'm listening to my friend speak. It doesn't seem like I'm a YouTuber. I'm going to tell you what's up. You know, it feels very authentic. And I love that about what you do. So thank you for what you're bringing to the world. And one of my favorite videos of yours was where you were talking about how to have a healthy morning routine. I think this will go back to what we're saying. So can you tell us about how you start your day and how that really helps start the rest of your life, as your mentor told you?
Yeah. So morning rituals are huge for me. I've had a morning ritual for, I would say the whole seven years, for sure. And sometimes it's tough because of the energy that we spend as human beings. So when I first started this, I was waking up at 7 or 8 every morning and I thought I was an early riser. And then I challenged myself one day to get up at 6. I'm like, wow, this is really early. Waking up at 6am like, what's gonna happen?
Me and Susie are like, yeah.
I found that actually by doing that and working at 6am and just plugging in and getting my meditation done, going to the gym, drinking my green juice, having 32 to 40 ounces of water first thing in the morning with apple, cider vinegar, lemon, cayenne pepper, a little sea salt for the minerals, doing that, meditating, reading a book, generally spiritually in a format. So reading scripture, the Bible, the Tao Te Ching, different things. Like, that puts me in an optimum state of my mind. And if I'm in that place, it's a lot harder to disrupt me like throughout the day. So basically doing seven to ten different things every morning in a ritualistic pattern really helps set me up for success. And one of the things that I do every morning is also creativity. So I play the guitar or I beat on the drum that I have, a Native American drum or the jambe that I have at the house.
Yes.
This is awesome music.
Yeah, yeah. Put your. Using music to put myself in almost like a self induced shamanic state. And then I anchor futuristic events or things that I would like to see created in my future. And I see that as the vision as I go through like this ceremony every morning. It's been super profound and powerful. When people come over to my house and they stay here, they leave, they're like, holy crap. Like it just completely changes their life. Because most people don't have these rituals.
And ceremonies, especially on a daily basis.
Yeah. Life is such a precious gift and.
Also so focused on yourself and what you're trying to create. Like on and addressing multiple levels that way. That's. Yeah, yeah, that's wonderful.
Yeah. So being the muse, you know, and the Art of War was a good book where he talks about that. It's like allowing divinity to flow through me versus ever trying to do something humanly. Because human will only get you so far. I believe divine will is so much more powerful. So for me that's really worked. Like tapping into divine will and knowing that it was never about little old Drew, but it was about the big you. It was about tapping into the oneness that all of us can experience. But we gotta fix these three dimensional bodies first. Unfortunately, there's so many foods, processed stuff out there that's just contaminating people right from the very start of the morning. You know, look at the process bullshit that people are putting in their bodies. Terrible. Like, and then they're wondering why they don't remember their dreams or they don't even dream at night. Their pineal glands just closing right before them. They're gaining weight, their energy is low, their hormones are out of balance. I mean, I could go off for days about this kind of stuff. I get heated.
No, I know. And people are up all night worrying about the next day instead of being in gratitude and praying. And I know one of the things you said is that a good morning routine starts the night before. Can you tell us a little bit about that?
Yeah. So at about 7 o', clock, I'll usually Do something for myself. I've been doing a lot better about this. I'll get a massage or, you know, self massage if you don't have the financial ability to do that. And it works perfect like a chi massage. I like to read the night before I turn all the lights off in my house or I'll turn the red lights on. I got hue light bulbs, so it's red, which actually increases melatonin in the body, helps you sleep more effectively. My air conditioning is set up to where it goes down to like 69 degrees at night because your body sleeps at an optimal temperature the lower it is generally. And right now it's winter, so you don't really need to worry about air conditioning. Otherwise you're going to be like in 30 degrees. Icebox.
Yeah, our heater is broken right now, so I'm getting the cold sleep every night. I guess it's good for me. I don't love it, but I know it's good for you.
It is good for you. I remember the few times I've gone camping when it's like fall or even winter, which was not the most comfortable thing, but the cold air. God, I slept so well.
Yeah, you wake up so refreshed. I think one of the things you two are really good at is gratitude. So before going to bed thinking about three or four things that you're just super grateful for, and if you can bring yourself into a state of gratitude, so much so to where you know your whole body has goosebumps or there's tears coming from your eyes, I think that's a perfect place for creation. And what I do in that moment of being totally presently aware of how grateful I am is I'll start to think about the next day. And I learned this from a Native American medicine woman in the Yucatan jungle. I'll literally transfix myself into an eagle and I'll see as if I'm like through the eyes of a bird as I drift off to sleep. I know it sounds crazy. Woo woo. Like there's people listening.
Oh, I love it. I love this.
I'm married, but I think I love you. Like I just. You're. You're talking, you're talking. This is like foreplay, like talking. You're talking shamonic and green juice. Yeah, we love all this. Please continue.
We already have chills from you speaking. That's our gratitude for the day.
I haven't said that to anybody on our podcast before, but I will say.
Yeah, you really haven't. Not only to me, not to the guests themselves.
Well, thank you for that. You made my day, too, so thank you. Less is one. Bless us all. So, yeah, you see through the eagle's eyes, and you observe your day, and you see everything that you have set up, what's on the calendar, you know, the people that you're going to impact, the difference that you're going to make, and you see it without judgment. If you see your day in any judgment whatsoever, you have to start over. But as you're doing this, as you're falling asleep, what you'll notice is you start to drift off and go into a theta state. But your brain's in control in that moment. So this is almost like a lucid induction, too. So there's many nights where I'll have a lucid dream, like, immediately after that.
Now they're doing MRI brain scans to where the brain gets 50,000 times more active during a lucid dream than it actually does during the day during an awakened state.
And, Drew, can you tell our listeners, what if they don't know what a lucid dream is?
So a lucid dream is where you have full functional control. In the dream, you know you're dreaming. You're very aware, you're present. A lot of people from the past accredit lucid dreaming to coming up with some of the greatest ideas that transform humanity. So Tesla came up with electricity in a dream. Edison used to drift off and naps and come up with a lot of ideas that he used to invent. So super powerful, and it's fun. It literally makes sleeping fun. So instead of watching TV before bed, I kind of experiment in dream time and night school. You can learn so much different stuff from the universe. Like, you don't need to watch Netflix for four hours before bed. You could literally have an IMAX virtual reality theater in your mind once your body is pure enough to process the DMT that your pineal gland naturally secretes. And you don't need ayahuasca or any of those things to do that. That's a natural human gift that you deserve to have access to.
And so we access this by cleaning our bodies and then just allowing our minds to. To go there.
Yeah, and it takes work. You know, you're. Most people probably aren't going to be like, oh, I've been doing this for three days and it hasn't worked. Game over. Back to Netflix.
Right, right, right.
You know, but it's so worth it because it literally transforms your whole entire night into epic dreamland. Like crazy. Like, I've woken Up with some of the weirdest, wildest dreams. I feel like I'm watching James Cameron movies like Avatar.
I've had those.
And you do it. Cleansing your body, getting rid of fluoride. You need a great water source, preferably structured water. I don't know if you guys have a structured water machine, but I have one that actually, it's kind of crazy looking at it.
Which one do you use? We have a podcast coming up all about water. So which do you use?
Gosh, I forget the name of it. I know it looks like it's from space, though. It literally creates like a tornado of water. You've probably seen them. I know they sell them on Amazon.
Yeah, send me a link and I'll put it in the show notes.
So structured water is key. Taking a good, like a fish liver oil preferably, can really help you decalcify your pineal gland as well. Drinking apple cider vinegar. Turmeric helps. Ever since I started taking organifi turmeric, literally, it's helped big time. And the green juice actually helps.
Does the green juice have turmeric in it too? I can't remember.
It has turmeric in it. But there's also spirulina and not chlorella, which help detox the body and get rid of metals in the body, which can prohibit dream time and expansion. So taking some of that has helped me, you know, and I. I can't put like a medical disclaimer on that and say it's a truth, but I've gotten hundreds of emails from people saying, holy crap. Like, my dreams are crazy from this stuff.
And is that from the gold?
That's from the original organifi green juice.
Oh, by the way, I have.
Yes. Have you tried the gold yet?
I haven't tried it. I'm in. I mean, I'm like, literally about to check out on my shopping cart. It's in my shopping cart right now.
It is the best golden milk turmeric tea I've ever had in my entire life.
Yeah, I can't wait to try.
Me either. I love golden milk.
You drink it before bed. Like, that's part of my night ritual now is I have a cup of that before bed and it's like a warm blanket while you're sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows. It's incredible.
I'm sold. I was already sold by the packaging and the website, but not.
Oh my gosh, I love this. And my morning routine is not where I wake up at 6am But I do do a lot the night before, and one of them is my gratitude. And now I have new things to try. So I'm really, really excited. And I find that for anyone just starting out, it can be just like Drew said, like, you do it a couple times and you're like, oh, this doesn't work. You gotta commit. You gotta keep doing it. 21 days is the amount of time that it really takes for you to start a new habit. Some people it takes 30, but they say 21 to 30 days. So just commit. 21 days of doing a new nightly slash morning routine and you will see results. But you can't do it three times and expect it to work. I just want to put that out there because I don't want to set up people for disappointment. But you can have all of these things that you want, right, Drew?
Yes, all of them.
All right, Food Heals Nation. I'm here with Tina from Just Thrive Health. And we're always talking about the importance of probiotics and healing the gut naturally. And one of the most important things that you can take on a regular basis is the spore based probiotic, and not only for yourself, but for your pets as well. So, Tina, tell me a little bit about why it's so important to take a picture spore based probiotic and how we can help our furry friends at the same time.
Yeah. So the spore based probiotic is a very unique, is a totally new category of probiotic supplements. And they have this endospore shell around themselves that allows them to survive and get to the intestines alive. And this is why they're so effective and why people are having such great results on the probiotic. It is by far our most popular product. It was our flagship product and it has, we have extensively studied the product. We have a double blind human clinical trial for leaky gut. We have nine other human clinical trials on the product. It is so studied and so effective for people. So we see people. I always say to people that it doesn't matter if you have digestive issues or not. We know the gut is responsible for virtually every aspect of our overall health. So we would definitely recommend that foundationally. The number one supplement you should be taking is a spore based probiotic because it will help everything else you're doing work that much better. It will help absorb nutrients that you're taking. It will help absorb the nutrients from supplements that you're taking. So much better if your gut is healthy and diverse. And the spore based probiotics really help with that. And then as far as our furry friends, we have found out that dogs are suffering from leaky gut as well, almost at a higher rate than even humans are, because we know that Roundup, which is the glyphosate, which is the active ingredient in Roundup, is sprayed all over the parks and the lawns that the dogs are playing in all the time. And they have leaky guts as well. And we did a study on dogs with leaky gut and found that the strains that are used in our Just Pets product are actually also helping with that intestinal permeability or the leakiness of the gut for the dogs also. So definitely want to support our dogs. And they're unfortunately faced with a lot of the same human diseases these days because we're kind of corrupting them. In the world that we live in, there's so many offenders to gut health, both for humans and for dogs. And so we just want to make sure we're combating that on a daily basis.
Well, I love it. I'm a fan. I am taking my Just Thrive Health spore based probiotics every day. And Lily is taking her Just Thrive for Pet probiotics as well. So thank you so much for breaking that down for us today, Tina. I really appreciate it.
You bet. Thanks, Alison.

Drew, I want to, I want to ask you about, I don't want to say willpower, but like, committing to yourself, because I myself, like, I have certain morning rituals. I don't have nighttime rituals. I never thought about it that way. I've had certain morning ones and there's certain things that I want to change or add to my, you know, want to modify, do things that I want to do for myself. But sometimes I have problems with commitment and making that a priority. So how, when you were doing what you were doing and set and when you eventually got to setting up your rituals, how did you come up? Did you have any resistance? Did you have any, did you fall back sometimes? Like, can we talk? Let's talk about.
Yeah, Resistance is a funny thing. You know, it's so many, I think so many people get caught up in resistance and they stay in there just because it's like, it's comfortable as, you know, it's a, it's easy to be complacent and be where you are and sometimes it's scary to grow Outside of everything that you've known. So it's human nature just to kind of sit there. But what's really helped me with resistance is essentially seeing the big picture in my life. So if I make a commitment now to anything, anyone, and I say yes, especially when I say yes to myself and I don't honor that. It's not honoring essentially everything in my life. So it all has a ripple effect. So if I say I'm going to go to the gym at 6am or you know, I'm going to wake up at. I Woke up at 3:30 this morning is crazy. Like I don't even know why I'm waking up.
Wait, wait, wait.
You woke up? Susie and I are like, you don't understand.
You wake up at 3:30 on purpose?
Oh my God. Past two nights, 3:30. I think it's something to do with solstice or something. But I'm just waking up with so much freaking energy.
Yeah, my yogi friends do this. They wake up at 3:34am and they do their satna.
Satna. Yeah. That's supposed to be like a very.
It's not my thing. As you can tell, it's not my thing.
That's supposed to be like a magical time to wake up. It is for creativity and your body. Your body. Yeah, Your body clock.
And people write books at 4am yeah.
That'S what I'm doing. So I woke up and I wrote a whole chapter of this book that I'm working on. If you tell yourself you're gonna get up, your subconscious will automatically wake you up at that time. You can get to a place where.
I have done that. I've experimented with that. I was like, wait, wait, remember to wake up. And I do.
It's no, I'm like, did I set the alarm? Well, I'm just telling myself right now I'm going to get up because there's a reason I have to get up. And then I will open my eyes at that time. It's incredible.
Yeah. I think one thing that will help you and it will definitely help your fans and help me throughout this process is you got to gamify your willpower. Your willpower.
One thing that I did is I wrote out and this was back in the day when they didn't have apps for this. I'm sure they have apps now. But everything I wanted to do in every given day I had on an Excel spreadsheet. And as I did it, I crossed it off. So I got the dopamine. We talked about neurochemicals earlier. The positive reward of doing things day in and day out.
Yeah, I do this with a notebook.
Yeah. And as time goes on, you cross it off, you get more dopamine. Dopamine. Dopamine. And you continue to do it. One thing that also I did is I wrote emails to myself before I had any fans and before I. I was getting like 12 views on. On YouTube back in the day, and I'm like, I'd send a link to my dad, and I'd still have 12 views the next day, and I'd call my dad. I'd be like, you didn't watch my video, dad.
What is going on?
So, yeah, I wrote emails to myself from future fans saying, you know, this is so great. I gave it to my son, and, you know, he's so much more focused at school. And I would, like, come up with these creative emails that I wanted to see one day about the impact that I was making.
Brilliant.
So that really helped. That helped with willpower. That helped me stay focused.
It's like the email version of a vision board.
Yeah, exactly. When you do it for something outside of yourself, like, that's a big thing, I think setting alerts in your calendar. So I have alerts now that remind me that I, you know, if you wanted to set one up for willpower, you can literally impress it on your subconscious. Like an alert that said something like, wow, I'm so impressed with how focused you've been lately and the willpower that you have. And then that pops up on your phone two, three times throughout the day, you don't have to change anything, but your subconscious starts to pick that up three, four days later. All of a sudden, you're starting to act different because of the impression that you're making on your mind. So I would start in the mind first. And once you can start to get rid of a lot of the old beliefs about you not being rigorous, about you not showing up on time, you being a people pleaser, a yes person, all those lies that we tell ourselves in this illusionary world that we live in, you can start to transcend those. Those things that we were up against as humans every single day. And that's really helped me in this process.
I have a question, Drew. I want to go back to something that you said. You said that when you're working for others, when you're not just doing something for yourself, if you're not just living for yourself. I forgot exactly what you said, but I had a thought. I have a question. Basically, do you Think that in this day and age that our society as Americans, that we're too, especially with like, reality TV and selfies. Do you think we're too focused on ourselves as opposed to others in general?
In. In this life?
Yeah, in this life, in this time, in America, right now, Because I do.
Generation. Are you talking about the millennial?
No, I'm just talking about society in general. You know, that we're just too focused on ourselves and how we look and in our selfies and social media, you know, has, I think, brought this about to some extent that we're. There's nothing wrong with talking about yourself and taking nice photos of yourself and sharing what you're doing. But I feel like as a culture, we've moved too far or we've moved away from helping our society in general. Like, I feel like other countries, it means more to be a citizen of that society, and they look at that more as like a whole that they're a part of, as opposed to being, like, super selfish and super self absorbed.
I think you're right. I think what's coming to me now, and I don't know really where this is coming from, but I think a lot of it has to do with unhealthy masculinity. I think there's not only, you know, male and females, we both have both. We have male energy, we have female energy. And there's very few people that are whole on this planet that are whole humans, you know, showing up here at this time. But, you know, when your masculinity is unhealthy, which a lot of men have, it's very fear based. It's very testosterone driven. It's not unconditional love. It's very what's in it for me? And ever since the early 1900s, women have adopted more of that as well, because men went off to war and they were doing all this and that women had to take care of the house and have a job, you know, and all this. And now I think a lot of women want to be the rulers of their own kingdom, so. And there's nothing wrong with that. I just think it's imbalanced. I think there's a lot of what can I get? And not a lot of what can we create together? My whole mission in this life experiences, we're in this together. Like, I would give anybody, like, the shirt off my back if you ever meet me. Like, that's like, I'm there for you. Like, you will feel that in my energy field. And there's a reason I'm so successful. It's because of that. Like, that's the big thing. Like, once you get over yourself and you start living to impact, what is it? If you can help a mate. Somebody said this a long time ago, I think it was Dale Carnegie. But if you can help a million people, you can be a millionaire. You know, just help as many people as humanly possible. Don't even think about the money that you're going to make. Wake up with, who can I help today? Use me as a vessel.
Mother Teresa, how can I serve?
Yeah, let me be a pencil in the hand of God. And when you start to live from that place like that to me is power. That's divine, masculine and divine femininity coming together, operating from source. And that's when your life will completely change. But if you're still struggling to be noticed, struggling to live paycheck to paycheck, wondering where your money's coming from, you have anxiety, you're stressed out all the time. It's because you're thinking about yourself too much. So it's time to transcend that. And it's okay if you're there, like, there's no judgment. But on the other side of that, like, just because you're listening to this and if you're in that place, it's awesome because this is the turning point. This is a choice point in your life to really take it to the next level and create the perfectly blissed out life that you get to have in this experience.
Beautiful. And I can't remember who said this, but I think it was on a recent podcast I was listening to. It could have been Rich Roll, or it could have been Lewis Howes, but someone was talking about how if you lose a job or you quit a job or you have this free time, all of a sudden the best thing you can do is not look for that next job. But it's volunteer and be of service in your community and everything will shift. Instead of spending your time on job boards or building a business or something like that, which of course you can do too, but spend a good bulk of time volunteering and being of service and see what shifts and the results can be phenomenal. Now, I haven't experienced that myself, but just reflecting on what you said, it sounds like something that, you know, we can all do is how can we be more of service when we have this extra time pop up?
I absolutely love that. That's beautiful.
I wish I could give someone credit. I was on a podcast, I was listening.
It sounds like It. It sounds like it'd be Louis for sure.
Okay, maybe it was the one I was just listening to, the one with Lewis and Rich. So that could have possibly been it. That's why I mentioned both of them.
Good stuff.
And there was one video of yours that I loved. And you were talking about listening to childhood music in the morning. And why is that music from your childhood not music for children?
Well, actually, I was just reading about this again today. It's funny you ask this. Long story short, they did a study where people in their 60s and 70s woke up in the morning and they were listening to music when they were kids. And in a period of about 30 days, they tested, I guess, like, their mental aptitude, I think the study did. Or like their. The way that their brain aged throughout that process. And what they saw was that it actually reversed how much they were aging, like, just by listening to old music. That nostalgia was medicine. Why is that?
That is so true. Why? Why is that?
That's incredible. Yeah, it's like even when you're on the dance floor or you're at a party, or you're at a wedding and that song comes. Comes on, you're like, that's my song. It reminds you of a better time.
Yeah, well, when you were happy, you know, you had all those hormones, those chemicals, those things that were anti aging running through your bloodstream, running through your brain, your body, your bones, your tissue, your collagen in your face. And all of a sudden you just start to look lighter. Like, go to a yoga retreat, take a picture of your face seven days later, take another one, and you will see a different person. Look, looking back at you.
I. I can test them to this because I do the juice cleanses, I do all these retreats. I'm a retreat junkie. I have a problem. Everyone. Get over it. At least I'm not an alcoholic. But I am a retreat. A retreat. I just went to three in a row. I know, okay, moving on. But yeah, I can see the difference because we're always taking pictures. And like, I arrive and I'm not a mess, and I'm just like, I'm tired. I just got here. I either flew here, I drove here, and I'm tired. By the end, I'm radiant. It's because we did a shit ton of yoga. Excuse my French. Or we did a lot of juicing or what have you. Or a lot of spirituality, a lot of meditation, whatever it is. By the end, I might have be flying back. Like, I got stuck in London My last one, I got stuck in London for 24 hours. It took me two days to get home. I was in business class and then I missed the flight. So I got in. I was in the back of the plane sitting next to a very large individual squished next to the window. And it was not a pleasant experience. But I still looked better when I got back because of the three weeks of yoga and meditating, loving myself, drinking my greens, all that good stuff than I did when I started.
Yeah, yeah. Self care and creating a state of well being is a feedback loop in the body and it starts with the mind. So the more self care rituals we do, the more retreats we go on, the greater the feedback loop and the more it increases our vibration. And what they're now experiencing with genes is that genes are actually just like switches, like, like a light switch. You could turn them on and off. And the more we give to ourselves, the more self love, the more care, the more we listen to old music that put us in good moods, the more we turn off the unhealthy genetic components to this human DNA that we have and we evolve. And I think the future of humanity actually depends on us becoming more balanced so that we can pass that on to our children. Otherwise obesity rates will continue to rise. And what is it now? It's like the first time ever where kids may not live as long as their parents.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God.
Well, you know, the body can only do so much if you're not going to give it what it needs, can only go for so long. There's so much in our. In just our environment. Not even, not even to mention our food, but like the air, the water that. The air that we breathe, the water that we drink, you know, it's just different than even our grandparents or great grandparents had. So.
Yeah. So I think, I think we need to start a revolution on this podcast.
Let's do it.
Let's change the world. Let's bring people together.
I'm in. I'm in.
Free green juice.
We appreciate that green juice forever.
Yay. Well, at least you're giving us 20% off, which is an incredible discount. Thank you so much for the green juice, for the gold, for the red juice. And I know you've got a lot of products. Protein.
What's the difference between nutritionally or between the green and the red? Should we be taking both?
Green is for cleansing, it's for weight loss. Red is for anti aging, it's for energy.
So we need them all.
Yeah, I usually take the green in the morning. And then I usually take red in the afternoon instead of coffee. You know, a lot of people are actually coming off coffee with red juice. And it's natural. There's no caffeine in it. It's rhodiola, which is a great adaptogen for lowering stress. There's beet juice, which is loaded with nitric oxide producing compounds in it, which a lot of Olympic athletes that do triathlons and stuff use to increase stamina and endurance. And tons of berries. So it's loaded with so many antioxidants and it literally tastes like red Kool aid. No joke.
Really.
And so do you just mix this one with water?
Water. There's no sugar in it. Just a little monk fruit and it's the best fruit punch on the planet.
I love monk fruit.
That is my fave. I love monk fruit too. And I haven't tried this one yet. So this is on our list. We'll report back. Food Heals Nation. I'm already obsessed with.
Yeah, let me know with the red juice and the gold, what you think.
I will. And I like the protein powder too, because you. It's not like a very strong taste where you're like, oh, this is overwhelming. And chalky. You know, there's a lot of protein powders that are.
Yes. And they'll give you gas.
Yeah. Like you don't feel good. You feel bloated and gross after, so. Because like, I. I know which ones I like and I'll have in my home, but I'll be out or in a different town and like, I'll just try whatever protein powder they have at the smoothie bar. And I'm like, oh, I just drank a smoothie that's supposed to be healthy. And why do I feel like full, gassy, bloated? It's because of the quality of the powder, huh?
Yes. There's no digestive enzymes in it. And oftentimes the body has a hard time processing the actual nutrients in the plants. So we put enzymes, we put coconut mcts, we put full food value vitamins in there. So they're not synthetic vitamins, which is.
I believe, so important.
Yeah, I think we were the first ones to do that actually, if I remember correctly. I don't know.
But food heals Nation. Stay away from synthetic vitamins. They're not good.
Or whey protein.
Yeah, it tastes like ice cream, I think.
Oh, maybe you could make it in like an ice cream recipe. Like a really good, like ice cream plant based coconut protein ice cream. Yeah, we'll have to ask the Jinxlingers or like, one of our. I'm not the ice cream expert, but we have people and we've had on the podcast that know how to make this like it tastes. And you're eating something healthy.
Yeah, I'm sure you could. You could just have to actually from childhood, like a almond milk or coconut milk, and then put it in an ice cream maker.
I know there's been a few people on our team that have done that. Anytime you can turn something that's healthy into a dessert, I mean, that's a win.
Yeah, that's my favorite thing because I still have the cravings for the dessert, but I'll be completely satisfied with the healthy versions, and then I don't need the unhealthy versions.
Yeah, absolutely. So 20% off they get. And I think. Do you have a coupon code that they're able to use?
Yeah, just use the Food Heals discount code to get your 20% food heals discount code.
And they go to Organifi.com to get that. Or you'll leave a link in below the show, Right? That's how these podcasts work.
Oh, yeah. We'll talk about at the beginning of the show. We talk about the end of the show. We put it in the show notes. It'll be all over. It'll be on Facebook.
You two are amazing.
We got you.
We do our best.
We do do our best. Before we go, can we talk a little bit about weight loss? So I saw one of your videos with Christine Hassler, and I love her. She was actually my coach in grad school when I got my spiritual psychology degree. And so I was super excited to see her on with you. But you guys were talking about how when it comes to losing weight, sometimes willpower isn't enough, and the weight is serving a purpose, and there's a payoff to having it. So as much as we're working out or doing, you know, eating less or eating better, whatever it may be, there's still this protection or safety. And that really resonated with me because I know people, people that are experiencing this. I've experienced this multiple times in my life where I know it's a. Where I've come to the conclusion that it is a protection for something that I haven't let go of. Can you just expand on that?
Yeah. I think the big thing, you know, this is a lot of shadow work we can do to work on is getting curious about it. You know, where's that coming from? What area of my Life, haven't I sent enough love to. To let it heal, to let the light in. And the more and more we get curious with our bodies. One trick that I learned from a healer in Costa Rica recently actually was to pretend that there's a little leader in that area of the body that I'm not happy with. And this works for injuries too. So I recently, I think I tweaked my knee a little bit and she told me to pretend that the leader is in my knee and to talk to them and just get really intuitive and listen. So as soon as I started this imaginary conversation with this little 2 inch leader in my knee, you know, I envisioned him to be like the little Monopoly guy. As soon as I had this conversation, my knee pain went away like 30%. And he told me some very specific things about how I had been treating my body and what I could do to get rid of it. So getting back to intuition with weight and listening, I think is super helpful. What is it about you and your past that has allowed you to want to stay safe? Is it not you? Is it society? Is there this belief that's circulating throughout the theme on social media, like the MeToo campaign that was recent about all the trauma that was getting posted? Well, if you're subconsciously picking that up all day long, in and out and you have trauma, I mean, you're just. The belief that I have is you're kind of just waiting in the muck over and over and over again, getting dirty and dirty and dirty. And you probably learned some of this in your spiritual psychology courses. But what you want to do is change the thought around that and shift your vibration. So what's more empowering, you know, what, what was the lesson you learned from that? I had some really, really would be considered some pretty bad trauma growing up as a kid. And instead of looking at it like something that happened to me, I look at it like something that happened for me, something that changed me, something that helped me become who I am today. And I thank my dad, I thank my mom for every, every lesson that they taught me. And as soon as we get to that place and it takes work, it's sometimes it takes, you know, years to get rid of it completely, or sometimes it can happen in a moment. It can happen like as soon as you shift your consciousness. It's just a choice of awareness. So explore it, get deep with it, have fun with it.
And I think also sometimes it comes up, well, we going back to resistance. Like if you resist whatever negative experience or trauma that you've been through and think it shouldn't have happened or I don't want to think about it. As opposed to welcoming the fact that hey, it happened, it made you who you are, you're still okay. That's when I notice it shifts in an instant when you welcome.
Yeah.
Whatever experience you had.
Yeah, join the party. You know, come on in. Like what's trauma? Come on in, have a seat at the table, let's have some food together. Like, let's have a little chit chat. As you allow trauma to talk to you, just be like, wow, isn't that interesting? That's interesting that I'm experiencing this. Maybe you've been abandoned in the past and you're in a relationship where the person's avoidant in their psychological makeup and it's triggering abandonment issues in you. Instead of getting upset, you know, and getting all pissed off and freaking out and being the crazy lady that's, you know, showing, doing whatever you do or.
Yelling at someone in traffic for no.
Reason, simply breathe it in and say, isn't that interesting? What is it that I haven't let go of or acknowledge or sent enough love to that's still allowing me to be this way? The more interesting and the more curiosity we can be as human beings, I think it dissolves a lot of that kind of in many ways that unemotional, intelligent stuff that comes up that we all deal with. I mean, it's part of being here. Welcome to the club.
Right. There's no one that's got it all figured out.
No one's got away scot free.
Well, I remember when I was in school, I did two years of self forgiveness and I was like, I've got this, I'm done, I'm healed. No, I wasn't healed. I did a lot of work, A lot of stuff shifted, a lot of stuff lifted. It's lifelong work.
Yes, it is. It's fun though.
Well, and you got to make it fun. So for example, like I used to think, oh, it's going to be hard and now I have to deal with my trauma. But like you said, welcome to the table. And I love that. And so one of the things that I do when I need to go there and I need to work on something and I need to like release something and I'm, I try to get excited about it. And so I have a song and it's for me to talk to my little girl. So she's the little girl who is hurt, who is scared, who needs to protect herself, who doesn't understand what happened. You know, who doesn't forgive who? All of those things. I talk to her and I start with a song. And everyone can find your own song, a song that resonates with you. But I have a Sugar Land song. It's called Little Miss and it's such a beautiful song. And I cry and I hold the pillow and the pillow is a little girl. And I'm like telling her it's because the song goes, it's all right, it's all right, it'll be all right again. It's okay. All this stuff, it's a gorgeous song. And I literally pet the pillow like it's my little girl. And I give her so much love. I know, it's so funny. My dogs go nuts. They're like, pet us like, what are you doing?
Oh my God. That's great though. I love that.
Yeah, but it's what works for me. So if you're listening to this, like talk to your little boy or your little girl. There's someone inside. They're hurt, they're scared, whatever it may be, whatever you're feeling, you know, because what is anger? Anger is hurt, you know, and so hurt people hurt people. And so we don't want to be those people that are taking things out on our loved ones or screaming in traffic. I mean, I'm guilty of all of this. So please don't think I'm like holier than thou. I'm like, get out of my way, you piece of shit. I'm like, why is the car next to me a piece of shit? Are they really? No, they're not. I am acting out on something unresolved in this moment.
Well, LA traffic can bring any good minded yogi to their knees.
It's so they could be a piece of shit. But I'm calling. But it's my issue, it's not their issue. Even if they cut me off and they are an actual asshole, it's still me.
I love that and I love connecting with you too.
You too. This has been so wonderful. So please give lots of shout outs. Where can everyone find you online for follow you, watch your videos, stalk you on Instagram, all that good stuff.
