Gaslighting seems to be a common term floating around the interwebs today. So we're going to talk about how to deal with gaslighting and exactly what to say, exactly what to do and how to really feel good about it versus buying into the illusion that other people are casting upon you. Okay? Gaslighting has been a therapeutic buzzword floating around the Internet for a very long time, my friend. And it's happening more and more today is these new narratives and these new agendas are getting rolled out. Many people are becoming disempowered because they're being gaslit by their family, their friends been indoctrinated into a system, a mechanical machine system, and they don't know where the truth is, right? It's like confusing, it's disorienting, it's lowering self esteem. It's a real issue. I've been gaslit in my life. I've dated narcissistic people in the past. It's part of being that wounded healer when we show up into the physical plane and we want to help everybody and we have an open heart. People like this like to take advantage of empaths, like to take advantage of people that have open hearts. Buddha hearts, right? So how can we be empowered and stand firm in our unique truth? How can we have awareness and more understanding of what's really going on? So today we're going to talk about it. It's a topic that normally I wouldn't cover on the Drew and you show, but I figured, hey, why not? So it's actually gaslighting comes from a 1938 British play called Gaslight. And in this play, this husband is in the house and his wife is doing things around the house and, you know, taking care of business and handling the kids and all these things. And the husband keeps messing around with the lights, turning them up, turning them down, but he denies it. And when she brings it up over and over and over again, he keeps denying her of what's really happening. So that's where the term gas lighting comes in. He's making noises and all these other things as well. But common gaslighting phrases may be like, hey, you know what? You're making things up that never happened. This was not. You pulled this out of context and this isn't the real story. You're blowing things out of proportion. I've heard this one recently a lot. It's. You're misleading a lot of people with the information that you're putting out here. And another way to know when you're Being constantly gaslit or when another person is, it's when their self esteem is lowered, right? You may experience a rage of emotions back and forth, like, are they really? Like, how could this be? How could somebody be so low, lost in their own reality that they're denying the truth and what's real? And this is a very real thing. So the biggest thing we must do, my friend, together, is stand firm in our own truth. What is the truth? What is requiring me internally to require emotional leaning on another human being? Like, why are they so important to me that I get my energy from them? It's almost like that anxious attachment. If you've read the book Attachment Styles, or I think it's called attached to an anxious attachment is, hey, I need this person to love me. I need this person to give me attention. I need, need, need, need. It's a very codependent type of relationship. And when you're anxiously attached, it's hard to stand firm in your own truth. Even when you say things like, I know what I saw, I know the evidence. I've researched the science. I have a hundred hours of videos that I've actually researched and looked at in regards to this one thing, and you're, you're telling me that it's different? Okay, show me your evidence. Right? So that's another way to deal with somebody who's gaslighting is essentially just write your stuff down. Journaling is an important thing to do. Write down the experiences, most importantly, write down the warnings that this person could be gaslighting you. So a journal is a great way to keep a record for that. Even if it's a digital journal, just make sure you back that up because there's some people that would probably find that and delete it. So a journal is a great way, and then you can feel confident about it as well. So know your purpose when entering every single conversation, having an intention for clearing space or managing the relationship that you have with this person. Because somebody who's gaslighting you could potentially keep blatantly lying to you. They could shift the narrative, they could dig deeper into the lie. They could try to pull evidence from other situations and resources that is basically made up like it's not real. There's a lot of information floating around the Internet that is skewed one way that they could potentially use to veer the conversation as well. And then the biggest one is just being willing to leave the conversation. Like, why am I continuing to entertain being gaslit by this human being? What is my dependence on them? And the easiest way is just to leave. Block them, block them on your cell phone, block them on social media. It's not worth the drama, my friend. Your self image, the love that you have for you is far more important than dealing with somebody that's constantly gas lighting you. So they love attention. Like even if you show up with evidence, a whole pile of evidence, when you're interacting with them, you're giving them energy. It's like an energy vampire, right? So you could be showing them recordings, you could be showing them different websites, you could be showing them different pages. And that's all feeding the fire of somebody who's gaslighting you and then paying attention to things that the person that's gaslighting you often says. So once you start getting a theme of how they're responding to you, how they're interacting, the type of words and what they're saying, then it's a lot easier to deal with a gaslighter. I think the biggest thing we can do is increase our own self supporting system. There's a reason I take a bubble bath every single day, right, With Epsom salt, pink Himalayan salt. Not only do I use salt, but I put boron in there to flush out the heavy metals in my body to give me, give myself space. I light a candle, I relax, I meditate, I slow my brain down, try to push it more into like a theta state and just give myself more and more self love. That's what we need in the world. When it seems like there's a whole army of people that are illusion based, buying into this dream that's been casted on them, this narrative that makes absolutely no sense, and they'll continue to downplay our own reality and they'll try to enroll you into their reality. They'll convince you that you need to do something. They'll convince you that you need to take action for the good of other people and at the same time throwing themselves in the fire of dismay. So it's, it's a really sad thing to witness and see. Especially when we love these people, we care about them deeply. But you are worth far more than being in relationship with somebody who is reducing your psychological and emotional fortitude. Somebody who has the audacity to do that isn't somebody who really loves you. So it's important for you to feel safe, my friend. It's important for you to be around people that truly love you, that don't just say it, you know, they could cast the greatest words upon the prefrontal cortex of your brain and make you feel all the feels. But if deep inside of them is this insecure person who's gaslighting you, who has a tendency to be a narcissist, then why are you in that relationship? You're only hurting yourself. You can't show up as big as you came to Earth to be. And in many ways you chose this person to realize and wake up to your true potential. It's a great gift that they're doing this for you. The fastest way to learn a lesson is just to insert somebody into the Matrix that is so disruptive, that is so disorganizing in the psychological makeup of who you are to where you can't help but wake up. And right now this is happening. Collectively, the collective consciousness of gaslighters is expanding. It's at an all time high. I've never seen anything like this in all the years I've been alive. And with all of that turmoil, with all of that chaos, there's the opposite side of the pendulum that's swinging. More and more people are waking up because of this. So know that there's an army. Even if you feel like you're surrounded by gaslighters and people that are just buying into certain narratives, know that there's this invisible army of people around you. There's a whole cadre of helpers, luminous beings, every single dimension around you that are supporting every single thing that you do. And they want nothing but love for you. So it can be very disappointing again to be surrounded by gaslighters or be in conversation with people that are gaslighting you. I know this. I've been in those conversations. And really check in with yourself, my friend. Really check in with more self love. Give that to yourself. Meditate every day. Have a solid morning ritual. You know, I love to sun gaze, center yourself. Because the more you raise and elevate your frequency, the less these people will show up. They don't even want to be around a high vibing person. So being gaslit is a non issue. When you're just radiating and beaming light out of your soul. It's impossible. They're like little dark dementors in Harry Potter that just melt in front of you. You're not even going to call them in. So know that. And I'm working on it, just like you. That's why I say this is the Drew and you show. We're in this together. We're handling gaslighters, we're handling narcissists, we're handling collective trauma, we're handling a bunch of little boys that never GRE up that are running these big corporations that are enforcing things upon us that are just not lawful. There's no justice, there's no moral code. It's. It's very dark and very disturbing when you go down the rabbit hole of all this stuff. But no, on the other side of it, my friend, is the light. The truth will always reveal itself and the truth will cast freedom bolts of light that breaks all the veils in every dimension upon us. So stick with that. Hold it in your heart to be true. Hopefully this was helpful, my friend. I'm feeling you and I wanted to record this specifically for anybody that's being gaslit out there. We're stronger in community. We're stronger when we really are in this together. And I believe that now more than ever. Thank you for listening to the Drew and you show. As always, remember, we're in this together and we'll talk soon.
