All right, guys, welcome to the Drew and you show. Today, I'm bringing on Shanai Pelka, who is actually part of the Organifi squad. She has so many beautiful stories about how health has healed her life. And we actually found Chennai, and we were blown away. We were so impressed with not only who she be and what she's doing in the world, she's building out a whole entire compound, I believe, in North Carolina, where she has all of our fully sustainable food. She understands how mother Nature works and really tapping into the infinite opulence that's all around us and the abundance of nature and the ancient ayurvedic herbs and Chinese medicine. She's a wealth of knowledge. She actually started her own superfood supplement company back in the day. So I thought, what a better way to teach a little bit about immunity, because that seems to be the hot topic in today's world. How to boost our own natural immune system and then using different things in our life. That's easy, that's accessible, that we have access to to really impact our own immune system and take our health to the next level. So, without further ado, I'm excited to bring on Shanai Pelka. Give it up. If you're driving, clap, make some noise. Let's go. This is absolutely incredible. Like, how we found you. I think it was May that actually found you in literally, the Organifi team is like X Men. Like, we literally search for mutants and their abilities to heal, their abilities to invoke and inspire and empower change. Like, that's one of the big things. And I literally heard, like, 20 seconds of your story and how you healed your own self. And I want to hear the whole story. And I know anybody listening to this is going to feel empowered by hearing this too. So you want to kick it off with that?
Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Thanks, Drew. I'm so happy to be here with you. Okay, so I. I am what you call a type A personality, and I grew up kind of thriving on stress. I was an overachiever. I had a great time, but I was always putting a lot of pressure on myself no matter what I did. So I'm in undergrad, and I'm planning to go to med school. And in my mind, that was the only option because I would be a loser if I didn't go to med school. I needed to achieve, and my plans were completely derailed because the. My junior year of undergrad, I got pregnant. And so, you know, I.
Wait, by the way, what baby? What baby was this Was this Ace?
This is Ace. Yeah, this is baby number one.
Baby Ace, who's like this pro skateboarder, one of the most beautiful humans you guys would ever meet. He spent some time with me in Sedona. So Shania has the best children, by the way. Just, just to preface this story into it, Here we go. So baby Ace derailed the train.
He derailed the train. And it was funny, you know, I, I'm planning, I, I take a couple months, I plan a 300 person wedding. I, you know, I'm taking calculus and trying to finish up my classes. I, I had classes planned for the day after I delivered him. And you know, I always thought that stay at home moms were, you know, unimportant. And I thought, I will never be a stay at home mom. And the minute I had him and looked into his eyes, I was like, I can't leave this baby. You know, my innate nurturing self came to be. And so I, you know, slowly finished undergrad. I decided not to go to med school. You know, fast forward. I had a couple, couple more kids, and I spent probably at least three years beating myself up all the time because I wanted to be a mom and I loved being a mom, but I wanted to achieve. And I felt like I wasn't achieving unless I wore a white coat, you know, and that would make me important. And so I was constantly putting stress on myself. It probably wasn't until I was, I don't know, maybe five years into motherhood. I had just had my, my third child, started studying nutrition and herbology, fell in love with it. And at that point I finally let go of that stress and that pressure of having to be a doctor. And it was a beautiful thing because life takes you, you know, to these places where you're meant to, you're meant to be there, but even if you kick and scream and fight, you know, you're still meant to be where you are. And so I think it was, you know, you're inundated with stress for so many years. And then we were living in Michigan at the time. My youngest had just turned one.
Michigan represent all these Michiganers out there.
Yeah. I was 27 and my ex husband had already moved to California. We were getting, we're planning a move. I was getting ready to sell the house. Under a lot of stress, of course. More stress, more stress. I had also just bought a new minivan and new minivans are loaded with chemicals. And of course it's winter in Michigan, so I'm driving around with the Windows closed, you know, we're painting the house. So a lot of chemical stress and emotional and physical stress, and I started getting sick. I started having a little bit of a fever, and I thought, oh, my gosh. The fear came over me because I didn't know a lot about herbs yet and how to keep myself healthy. So I got really scared because a lot of people had pneumonia. And I was like, oh, my gosh, I have to go to the doctor. I have to get an antibiotic. I didn't need an antibiotic, but the doctor gave me Zithromax. So I was like, you know, peace of mind. Yay. I'm not going to get pneumonia. And I had no idea that I really just needed to balance my body. And so I took my first dose, went to a roller skating party with my kids, and the next morning, I didn't fall at all. But the next morning, I woke up with bruises all over my body.
Oh, no.
And I was like, wow, I didn't fall. Maybe I'm just low in vitamin K or iron. You know, I wasn't sure. I ignored it, took another dose and then the next.
And at that point, I knew I had to go to the er. I knew something was drastically wrong.
So it cut out a little bit there. Shania, blood was coming out of your nose.
And blood was also coming out of my tongue. I had all these blood blisters on. And at that point, I knew something was wrong, really wrong. So I went to the er. Come to find out I had almost no platelets. Normal. You know, normal platelet level would be from 150,000 to 450,000. I was almost to zero. What? So had I fallen roller skating, I would have died. So that. The magnitude of that, you know.
Oh, God.
So they're, you know, I'm in. I'm on the oncology floor. They're testing me for HIV and leukemia and everything, of course, everything that could cause this. So this is known as idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura.
I don't know how to say that. So what's the short version of that?
Itp?
Oh, that's a lot easier. Cool.
Yeah. So it's kind of like you just don't know. It's autoimmune. So my body was attacking my platelets. You don't really know the cause. Although Zither Max does cause that. It's a very low percent side effect. And I don't think. Had I been already balanced, you know, my body was very out of balance. And I think that was kind of like the straw that broke the camel's back at the Zithromax one.
Okay, so body's out of balance, you take Zithromax, all of a sudden you have this near death experience.
And that was the start of you taking your health to an entirely whole new level.
Yeah, I had to. So, you know, I'm in the hospital.
The hematologist is telling me that the only way I could possibly heal would be to do a splenectomy and then I would have to be on antibiotics for the rest of my life. And I was scared. I'd never been, you know, hospitalized. It was really scary. And at that point, I had to make a decision and I decided to do the research to try to figure out what I could do. And it was a long shot. I didn't really believe that anything else could work. But we found my ex husband and I found this herbal blood kit. It was a immune and blood kit. So it balanced your immune system and built your platelets up. And I, you know, left the hospital when I had, I was at about 20,000 platelets, so I was still very dangerous, but I could, I could leave the hospital. And I started taking this herbal regimen. And within two weeks, my platelets went up to 100,000 in two weeks. And it was unbelievable. And then I added more herbs. I added. I was probably taking like 20 some different supplements a day. Another two weeks, 275,000. And that where I've been ever since. But what was really interesting is while I healed my platelets, I found myself with severe adrenal fatigue. And what had happened is when I was in the hospital in the emergency state, I had to have prednisone injections. Oh, wow. To keep my platelets, you know, out of the danger zone. And, you know, every time I stopped the prednisone, my platelets would dip. So even after I came home from the hospital, I was taking, you know, small dose of oral prednisone. And the day I finally weaned completely off, I was so weak I couldn't walk up the stairs because you're. You need cortisol to live. You know, you don't want your cortisol to be too high, but too low is extremely dangerous. So I had no energy. I started having panic attacks. Every time I walked into the grocery store and got in line, I would have a severe panic attack and I would usually have to run out. If I had my little. My youngest with me, I could pick her up and hold her and the maternal instinct, like, overrode the impending doom, but it was terrible. I always felt like I couldn't breathe. And I then came down with pneumonia because my adrenals were so weak. I had no cortisol, which is essential for immunity. So that was when I really took a deep dive into what the adrenal glands are. You know, what. What different type of stress hormones and cortisol. And I actually formulated an adrenal supporting supplement way back then. It had ashwagandha, rhodiola, elethro, cordyceps, a lot of the same herbs that we use in our organifi products. And it saved my life. Wow. Like, to be honest.
And this was literally, like, what, 25 years ago?
Well, I mean, not that old. Aabria is 19 now. It was 20 years ago.
Yeah, 20 years ago. And by the way, you guys, Shania literally looks like she's 25. Like, both her daughters. You guys all look the same age.
Thanks, Drew. I love you.
So the herbs are working, and. Yeah. So you boosted up your own platelets. You restored your own immunity. So many people fall in the trap of believing, like, western medicine has all the answers. And more often than not, I feel people just get let down. I don't think the hospital is a place for healthcare. I think it's a good sick care system, and it's good if you break your arm. It's good if something severe happens in your life. But in my own personal experience, it's better to have more of a functional medicine doctor, a naturopathic, more preventative stuff that you do, which is why I'm such a big advocate of organifi, of course, and which is why Shania's on the team, because she understands that and has those values as well. And she's been formulating wicked, amazing supplements for the past 20 years, which is incredible. And now we're using her mega brain superpower to formulate the organifi products. So I'm excited to get into that as well, especially in regards to immunity. Like, I think that's the topic here. And then also cortisol. So let's get into it. Fear is one of the big things that affects that. And I know you. There's so much impending doom on the TV now. And the tell, a vision, it's casting fear all the time. So what can we do? And how does cortisol affect inflammatory response in the human body?
Yeah, so what's interesting is you need the right amount of cortisol. We normally have this diurnal pattern of cortisol you know, it spikes high in the morning to give us the energy to wake up, you know, you know, we have a low, usually around 1 or 2am is our, you know, normal, true low. But cortisol has been given, you know, a bad, really a bad rat. And everybody's talking about lowering cortisol. And it's true that chronic stress, stress elevates cortisol, and there are a lot of problems with elevated cortisol. But from my, like, you know, my perspective, we need cortisol to live. You know what I mean?
100%.
Yeah. So it's about, you know, chronic elevations of cortisol can lead to the immune system being more resistant, and we. We could produce more inflammatory cytokines and other compounds, and it will actually suppress our immune system if we have too high of cortisol. But obviously, if we have too low of cortisol levels, then we will get frequent respiratory infections. And we can't regulate our blood sugar, and we're constantly feeling anxious. We wake up at maybe 2am because we can't regulate our blood sugar in the middle of the night. And so cortisol is a really important hormone. And we were dealt with these incredibly incredible stress responses into our human bodies. And that was, you know, for survival, that, you know, our sympathetic nervous system will be activated when we have to run fast, you know, so. So blood stops going to the digestive organs or organs that don't matter, you know, and blood pumps to the heart and to the muscles. You can run fast and. And, you know, we now experience that every day, multiple times a day, sometimes all day long. Yeah. And I think I just heard on a podcast that our great great grandmothers, the stress that they experienced in a lifetime was less than what we experience in one single day now.
Oh, for sure. Yeah. And this is even back when we were getting chased around by tigers, lions, and bears. Like, our stress is a lot higher. And most of it's actually mental stress. Psychological inflammation is one of the biggest things that is a precursor to horrendous health. So it's the mental chatter, it's the noise, it's the driving in the car with all the traffic, it's the never stopping. And the monkey mind is so relentless that it just spikes your cortisol all day long. And people are just one coffee after another raising their cortisol levels up. Most people aren't taking organifi, by the way. And that raises your cortisol even more because Ashwagandha lowered your cortisol. What is it? 27% Shania.
Yeah. Well, we have a really amazing clinical dose of a full spectrum extract of Ashwagandha. And there's so many great clinical studies on this, on this specific, this ksm Ashwagandha. And it really does balance. It lowers the cortisol when it needs to be lowered. It will balance the cortisol in general. But if you have no cortisol and your adrenal glands have just shut down production because you have just, you know, gotten to the point where you're super fatigued, then it will actually get it to where it needs to be so that you can function throughout the day. And something also really important to note here is that. Well, first of all, ashwagandha is my favorite herb in the world, and I am a fanatical about all herbs, but Ashwagandha. I always say that ashwagandha saved my.
Life, but that needs to be like a song.
Ashwagandha saved my life.
Ashwagandha saved my life.
Or not. I don't know if that would work.
No, it would be good for maybe one of our ads.
Yeah, for sure. So tell us about how ashwagandha saved your life.
Well, I first want to go back a moment to talk about stress. So we think about the monkey mind and how much emotional stress we're under every day because life is hard. We watch the news and it's, you know, you know, people are feeling fear right now, but there's a lot of other stressors that we're experiencing. So.
Okay, so tell us about that.
Like chemical stresses stressors.
So what are, what are the five biggest chemical stressors we have on our body every single day? And we don't even know it.
Oh, my gosh. Glyphosate. Okay, so glyphosate is.
So tell. Tell people. And by the way, organifi is now glyphosate residue free. Am I saying that correct?
Yeah, we're certified glyphosate residue free, which is huge. You know, normally speaking, a certified organic product would never have glyphosate in it. It would never be allowed. But because glyphosate is water soluble, and I think only 1% of all glyphosate sprayed actually gets sprayed onto a weed. We have it in our atmosphere, we have it in our rain, we have it in our water, in our soil. And because it's water soluble, it's almost impossible to sequester. So we have to be really careful about, you know, the water that we use even. And some farmers in other countries, even if they're growing certified organic products, they, they might use glyphosate as a desiccating or drying agent. And so you might find residue in certain products that you wouldn't plan to see it in, you know, because it's certified organic. So we have gone above and beyond. And, you know, I'm so proud because this is something I'm really passionate about, because glyphosate.
It'S, it's an herbicide, but it's actually been patented as an antibiotic, so. Meaning it kills the gut microbiome. And because we, our microbiome is so important to our overall health. I mean, our DNA is 99% non human. So our microbiome and these other species living within our body are extremely important to our health and to our immunity. So, people.
So we're bacteria. We are a bacteria body.
Yes, we are.
And we're a virus body.
Yeah, we need viruses.
Yeah. Okay, so antibiotics related to the gut glyphosate destroys good bacteria and bad bacteria. What does that do to the epithelial? Did I say that right? Epithelial lining in the gut, where 60 to 80% of the immune system actually is.
Yeah, well, it actually damages that epithelial lining, which is really important because that is like key immunity. So it damages the communication between the cells, it opens up the tight cell junctions. So you also might have trouble, you might mount greater inflammatory responses because you constantly have bigger particles going through your gut lining into your bloodstream without being fully digested or absorbed. And glyphosate, I think that there was a, there was a study in a, a petri dish looking at epithelial, like gut gut cells, and you feed it glyphosate with wheat, and within 20 minutes, it starts degrading your epithelial lining.
So it's interesting that they chose to use that. Right. In all the farms, which are now bleeding into the organic farms as well. And it's actually really hard to get stuff that's glyphosate free or residue free. Even when you test yourself, there are glyphosate tests, blood tests, urine tests that you can do to actually track how much you have in your body. You would be astounded how much you actually have in your body. Regardless of how clean you actually eat, there's a good chance you're still absorbing some of this bs and it does all kinds of damage to your body, you guys. Not only that, I mean, on top of damaging you, it actually messes up our bees and we need our bees because our bees are so important. If we lose our bees, what does it said four years we have on Earth without any food. And like, if the bees perish, that's crazy. So we got to protect their little brains. If you've ever had a conversation with a bee, you know how special these creatures are to us. They've been around for hundreds of thousands of years, and some people actually believe that they were the beginning, our ancestors on this planet, before we came along in these human things. That's why you see bees in ancient hieroglyphs in Egypt and some of these ancient cultures. So bee medicine is good, and we got to protect them, and we get to protect our gut lining, too. So it's insane and insidious how glyphosate just actually gets in our whole entire system.
And most of the inflammation that we get in our body actually starts in the gut. So if you're dealing with any chronic inflammation, there's a good chance that that's the first place you need to address it. The bacteria inside your body helps protect you from the bacteria outside in the.
World, the bad bacteria. Yes, it does. But what's really wild about that is it's kind of this. You get caught in this feedback loop because if you don't have a healthy gut lining, then you're not going to be able to make serotonin and some GABA and other neurotransmitters, which in turn causes more stress in the brain.
And then the more stress you're under, the more emotional stress you're under. You actually, in turn, kill the gut microbes in your gut. So it's this vicious cycle feedback loop, and it's hard to get out of. And that's one of the reasons that ashwagandha and other adaptogens are really good for digestion and for the gut as well as, you know, the brain focus, you know, feeling a sense of calm and a sense of joy and energy. Yeah, the mood. But what's really cool about adaptogens is the word adapt. You know, whatever part of your body is weak, that adaptogen knows how to support it. So an adaptogen like ashwagandha or even Alyssa or rhodiola, it gives you energy during the day, but it helps you sleep at night, and it helps you focus, and it helps support a healthy.
Immune system and test and hormonal health, too. It's really supported my hormones.
Super important. Yeah.
I'm 40, right? And literally, when I go to the gym, it's like the 20 year olds try to keep up with me. It's like the most crazy thing.
Are you 40?
I'm 40.
What?
Yeah, I know I look like I'm 26, 27, but yeah, I literally this morning I'm repping out 3:15 on the bench and like five times in a row and I'm like, wait a minute. Most 40 year olds do not have the ability to do this. And at the same time, I'm drinking my green juice and I'm like, this is it.
Most 40 year olds are not of the ashwagandha.
You know, I did just flex a little bit on you guys. So don't go to the gym and try to lift as much as me. It's just not going to work out well for you.
But for real, like when your stress is lower, everything else in your body works effectively. That's why when you do Tai chi, when you meditate, when you do yoga or you get your yoga in a cup, which is what I call organifi, green juice, then it helps with every other aspect of your life. I mean, before I go out on stage and I speak, I'm drinking red juice for the rhodiola and the cordyceps and the energy and the natural calm energy that it gives you. And before bed, I drink the gold, which has turkey tail and Rishi. Rishi is like the queen, isn't it the queen of mushrooms?
She.
It is. It's the queen of mushrooms. And what's cool about Reishi is it's a grounding mushroom and it's also the most studied mushroom for rest and relaxation.
Yeah.
So it's not going to put you to sleep, you know, and it will help support healthy energy during the day, but it will definitely help you rest.
Perfect. So I've jumped a little bit around because we had the audio malfunction, which is always the universe interrupting us for a reason. So we dabbled a little bit in a direction, which is good. But we were talking as well about the five things that impact people more than anything, which is the gut stuff. You brought up environmental toxins, which is like 80,000 new toxins in our environment every single year. This was literally like six years ago, so there's probably more now, which is just crazy. And people are willingly just inserting these environmental toxins in their body. Winky face emoji. And also, like, this is really bad news for what's happening for people's immune systems, for their autoresponse systems. What else is there? That's the top four gut killers. That people are doing right now.
Well, so we were talking about what causes stress in the body and what. And what hurts the adrenal.
Good call.
Yeah. So, you know, we have this microwave radiation and this dirty electricity around us all the time. Our cell phones, our smart meters, our WI fi, our cell towers. We're inundated. It's kind of like we're in a microwave. Even solar panels. Solar panels actually release more EMF than high tension power lines.
Yeah, it's intense. I had my place in Mount Helix, had solar panels on the entire roof, and I started getting headaches, and I'm like, what the heck's here? So I brought in literally an EMF expert, who I'll have on the show, by the way, you guys. So sit tight for that. But literally, after I installed a bunch of Shung Knight and all these EMF things that look like Egyptian pyramids in the house and all these orgone structures and scalar frequencies, headaches went away. Never felt better. HRV skyrocketed. So Chennai's right. Environmental electricity is crazy. If you want to check out the book Invisible Rainbow, I encourage everybody to read that. I first read that book, Shania, when there was, like, seven reviews before the whole CVID thing. And literally I was like, putting two, two, and two together. I'm like, okay, there's a lot of. Just read the book. We don't need to talk about it on this show, but read the book Invisible Rainbow. You literally will be the smartest person in any room when you walk into with the topic of invisible electricity and current. And this guy is a genius. You've read the book, right?
I actually haven't.
I can't believe I have.
I'm gonna send it to you. Like, text me your address. I'm gonna send you this book. It'll change. It's like, this thick. It's by, like, Arthur Fisher, I believe the guy's name is. And it literally takes a lot to read this book. It's not. He's an engineer. He's like a scientist, and he just breaks it all in such distinct detail about every. Literally every disease that's been upon us since the beginning of mankind and why we've experienced it and now why there's these more rampant things happening in the world today with the increase in electromagnetic radiation and these other things. So. Emfs, wow.
Yeah. Yeah. I'm so excited to read that. There was a really cool experiment done by a 9th grader. I don't remember which state, but she put a plant. She had two different rooms where she put a plant, a little baby plant in each room. And the rooms were identical. The sunlight, the water, the attention that each plant got was identical. One of the plants was next to a WI FI router, and within a few days, the one next to the WI fi router died and molded.
And it's.
Yeah, unbelievable, because for us, it's not food. It's not something we're putting in our body, so it's easy to ignore it. You know what I mean? We can't smell it, really see it.
I can smell EMFs.
Okay, well, some people can.
I'm just kidding. I can't smell those, but I feel it. And you can muscle test it, and you can energetically know if you're getting saturated with electricity. It's harder for me. Okay, so being a projector, and this is gonna sound crazy. How can I say this without. Okay, so we all have gifts, and one of the gifts Drew has is the ability to bilocate consciousness when I'm still, when I'm silent, when I don't make it an ego trip, because the minute I make it about me or the ego or the personality of Drew, like, I start to lose that. So literally, you can feel this. When you're meditating, you literally feel like you leave your body. And when it's heavy, dense electromagnetic pollution or even chemtrails or these other things, it's like, wait a minute. I'm having a little bit harder of a time breaking through the barrier that is usually so seamless and so easy. So we are electromagnetic beings. We have a magnetic body. We have a light body. And when we're constantly getting saturated with all these things, it just takes a little bit more work. So we have to be on guard. We have to be more purposeful. We have to be more intentional, and we get to own our word even more and more, and abide by the codes of living and being, integrity and being in the present moment, and our frequency will increase. Therefore, the frequency of anything else outside won't affect you. But the fact is, most people, they don't have integrity with the word. They don't have personal power enough to deal with this kind of stuff. And we're all working through it. But protect yourself before you wreck yourself. Deal with these EMFs. I wear a little Q link as well. You've probably seen this thing, right?
Yeah, it's like, 80ft.
It's 80ft of copper coil directed down into a shungite stone, which actually creates a field around my body. I swear, I Mean, I don't. I don't know. Like, I don't know if there's even been clinical trials on this, you guys. I just have been wearing it for, like, three years, and I've. I've definitely noticed a difference. I haven't had the thing that everybody's talking about. Also. I do a lot of other things that are super healthy, and I'm feeling my light body all the time. I'm connecting to spirit. I'm getting adequate amounts of sleep, and I'm feeling my body with the world's greatest superfoods. Organifi plug, Shanai.
Yes. And it's kind of like our bodies are designed to handle stress and toxins. And it's kind of like the stress load, though. How much can a body handle? And if we're doing everything else, if we're eating, you know, if we're not getting our nutrients and we're not sleeping and we have a toxic relationship and we're drinking a lot of coffee and alcohol to compensate, and then we're blasted by ems. That's just like, too much, you know, in addition to, you know, fluoride and chlorine in our water that we absorb even when we shower, it's all too much. And what ems?
Yeah. Don't get me started on the whole fluoride thing.
Yeah. Well, and even if you're drinking clean water, if you don't have a filter in your shower, then you're observing it when you shower.
Yeah. I just had the hydration expert on Tracy Dues, who talked all about putting vortex water systems in your house like crazy.
Oh, amazing. I need to listen to that episode.
Yeah. It's so good. So water in your house, we're getting bombarded with all these chemicals, so.
Yeah. And.
And birth control.
Birth control. And you know what else? You know, having high cortisol levels. Actually, if you're a woman, it's very much. It's very significant to your. To having a normal cycle and being able to get pregnant and carry, you know, carry a healthy baby. Because if cortisol will actually steal molecules that are building blocks for. For progesterone. And progesterone is a very important metabolic enhancing balancing hormone. Whereas that's why people who are under chronic stress will have really low progesterone and really high estrogen. Not to mention that we're also inundated with plastics and other chemicals that are estrogen create higher estrogen levels in the.
Body, like the BTA stuff and plastic water bottles and.
Yeah.
Yeah. So basically we're just like getting it from all different directions. And what, what emf. One more thing about EMF is they actually impact our calcium channel blockers. So it's really important to get adequate magnesium to help combat 100% EMF. So anyways, with that being said, I, I love the idea of adaptogens and I love the idea of superfoods because our soil isn't exactly what it used to be. It's not. We don't have all of the nutrients we had in our soil 100 years ago. So, you know, there's a lot of people who are like, well, why do you need to take a supplement? You know, we could just eat healthy. Well, unfortunately, we need a little bit of extra support now a lot. In addition to the fact that we're exposed, spending so much energy on stress and our bodies constantly trying to stay in homeostasis. So that's why I love organifi, because we have great tasting, great for you benefit products, all with a really good amount of antioxidant, micronutrients and adaptogens. The world's best product. Yeah. And so, you know, to stay healthy, I love the sunrise to sunset. Bundle green with the ashwagandha is really important. It's really, really important for balance and keep your cortisol levels balanced and keep your adrenal glands strong. And then gold.
We'Ve got a really potent four to one turmeric. So that means for every four pounds of turmeric root, we get one pound of extract. And it's grown on this beautiful farm in India. Small farmer, and they're actually in their process of getting their regenerative organic certification, which is like above and beyond just certified organic, you know. So turmeric has thousands of studies on how it benefits your health recovery, your immune system, healthy response to inflammation. And so taking that at night, if you drink your gold, you know, you're getting lemon balm, which is like the relaxing herb, and you're getting your medicinal mushrooms, your turkey tail and your reishi, in addition to turmeric and ginger, which both support immunity.
Yeah. So with gold, I drink gold every night. Gold's actually my favorite organifi product right now. And I also take vitamin D before bed sometimes. I'll take a little gaba as well to help with some of those precursors. I'll take a little L, tyrosine and a little glycine too. So glycine. And then if I'm feeling a little bit more inflammation than normal from one of my workouts or whatever, I'll take a little bromelain and if I'm dealing with any type of dairy, my body just doesn't like dairy. Sometimes I eat it because I love it so much. I'll take a little quercetin or something like that. And literally I sleep like a baby every night. I get perfect 100% sleep scores on my Whoop app, like 90% of the time. So that's kind of. Those are the sleep hacks. I'm wondering, is there anything else that I'm missing in regards to my nightly supplement stack added with gold? Gold is the pinnacle. Turkey tail. I mean, there's so many pharmaceutical companies and even Japan that use turkey tail in their drugs. It is literally one of the most potent mushrooms. Also, Rishi's in there, you guys. Which all the beta glucans, if you've studied beta glucans at all. We actually use an ultrasound technology. Are we still using that technology, Shania?
Well, we use that for the reishi that is in immunity for our probiotics or.
No, no, the immunity. Okay, so that's in immunity.
Yep. So we have that special ultrasound technology that just pulls out the beta glucans. So it's standardized to beta glucans. The Reishi that we have in gold is super special as well because it's grown on wood just like the way mushrooms are supposed to be grown on. It's. It's an eight to one, meaning eight pounds of mushrooms will give us one pound of extract. It's. It's a dual extract. So you get the alcohol and the water. So you get fat soluble and water soluble compounds out of it. So you get your beta glucans. You also get triterpene, which a really important component of Reishi. It's what makes reishi bitter. And so if you're. If you're consuming reishi and it tastes bitter, then you know you have actual reishi.
Oh my God. Chennai. You look like an alchemist. She's got our cow. You guys can't see this because we're not posting the videos yet, but she got a cowboy hat on. She's got literally like 50 jars behind her with all these elixirs and different superfoods. I literally feel like I just went to school at Hogwarts and I'm with the teacher that's teaching all about mushrooms and the magic of mother Nature. This is awesome.
So, well, listen, we were at about 45 minutes, which is the typical show length here, Shania and I know you plan on coming out to San Diego relatively Soon. So we'll have to do this in person again. Oh, my gosh. One thing, one thing.
If you could sum it all up.
I just have to say just to start.
Just to start, start with green juice. Watch it transform your life. One product, it will set you on a different path.
I love how the dog's barking like it's agreeing with you.
Oh, my God.
Green juice. Green juice. Green juice. Take the green juice.
Oh, my God. So fun. You look vibrant, healthy, whole. I love what you're doing out in North Carolina. Tell. Okay, so tell the peeps at home or in their car, wherever you guys are. You moved out in the middle of nature, right? And you're building, like, this whole entire compound. Give us a little. A little insider's peek at what's going on over there.
Well, I was in Southern California. Love it there. It's beautiful. It's fast paced, you know? And I wanted to just take a step back, and I wanted to. I wanted a farm, so I bought a farm out here in the Appalachian Mountains. Got 18 acres, a bunch of goats, baby goats.
I know. They're, like, the cutest things ever.
And, Drew, you should try our raw goat milk. It would be great on your digestive tract.
When can I get some? Can I order some?
I'll bring some with me when I drive to California.
I love raw goat milk, and I love goats. Goats is, like, one of my spirit animals.
Oh, they're precious. They're so sweet.
So you're like that older millennial Shanai, that was, like, living close to a city. All of a sudden, the pandemic happened, and a month later you're like, yep, I got some land. I'm living my best life. I got my goats, my chickens, my pigs. I got water. I got solar power. You're completely off grid. You guys. She even has a compostable toilet that she poops in, and she makes, like, fuel discs. Am I right?
Well, we do a compostable toilet. We're not making fuel. We're using it to make compost. But.
Pretty awesome. What's the best thing about this farm is that we have springs all over the place, so we will never run out of water. You don't have to irrigate here.
Wow.
The farm is named Seven Springs Farm.
Oh, my gosh. Seven Springs. Seven is, like, my magical number.
Really?
I need to come visit.
Come visit.
I'll drive the van to Seven Springs Farm. And also, you just sent me a property. I looked at it. It's beautiful. I, like, I need to get going on this. Is that close to you? Would I be neighbors?
You'd be about 45 minutes away. But seriously, can you believe that?
Oh, my God. It's beautiful. It's so lush. It's North Carolina, right?
Yeah.
Oh, my God. Yeah. It's the most green land I think I've ever seen, next to, like, New Zealand or something. This place is just magical. And it has water. Like, that's what you need. You don't want to be dependent on anybody else for your water or, like, your power.
So I love it. You inspired me to build the van out. You were one of those people where it's like, hey, I need to build this van. I need to be awesome. Zombie apocalypse ready.
I'm honored. I'm sure Ace inspired you too.
Yeah, Ace totally inspired me. I mean, he was living out of his van for little bit with that beautiful girl he was dating. I don't know if they're still dating, but, yeah, that definitely it was inspiring. You have the best family, by the way. They're always invited back to my house.
Thank you, Drew. We all love you.
So good. Thanks for being part of the team, Shania. I love you guys so much. Let me know if I can do anything to support, too, and we'll get this out there. To all the people all over the world, impacting their health in every way. We're in this together.
