All right, guys, here we are. We are talking about leadership development. Becoming the conscious leader that you always knew you could be with a few simple shifts in regards to how you're doing it now that will radically transform your life.
Let's go. If you're looking to become more of a conscious leader, evolved leader, we could say, a leader that is not really trying to lead. A leader that is just in flow, a leader that is being breathed through.
I know. Then you're in the right place. And listen, you guys, I never started there. It took me a lot. There was a lot of Samskara. There was a lot of internal wounding that I had to deal with to become the leader that I am today. I'll give you a little backstory in the show of where I came from and what I had to do to adjust to leading one of the greatest companies on the planet. And I just want to start with this premise. Leadership that we're headed into hasn't been done yet. We are in the unknown. So I start every day with that attitude. There's not a leader on the planet. There's not another coach or mentor or a group. Yes, it's nice to be in these business development groups and these masterminds and all the things and the coaches and the mentors, and I've hired them all, and I have coaches on staff now, but knowing deep inside of me that where we're headed with leadership on this planet has not been done in this time in space. So give yourself the opportunity to feel what that feels like. Give yourself the opportunity to really open up to many possibilities, many timelines that could happen for you in this life when you adopt a new mindset and be kind to yourself. The leadership that we're talking about is a balance of your higher self and the self that you see as you on the planet at this time. It's a balance between the feminine and masculine polarities. It's a balance between the divine child and the wounded child within you because you can't get rid of it. The wounded child inside of you is along for the ride. And there's a lot of leaders that are leading as wounded boys. Toxic masculinity rampaging over this planet. This beautiful jewel in the sky flying around the sun going 80,000 miles an hour. But until we get that in check, then there's going to be more penetration energy. There's going to be more manipulation energy. There's going to be more energy that doesn't suit where we're headed. And that's why I'm so excited. I'm actually ecstatic about this topic because I believe leadership, where we're headed is unknown. And I don't know anything going into this as a student, always, in every way, always. And as a student, I'm willing to open up. I'm willing to get rid of any belief that's sabotaging me, holding me back in the moment. I'm willing to put myself in the shoes of another human being, to really feel what it feels like, what their heart feels like in the moment, and experience the presence of the oneness. So I think leadership's headed there. I think it's a lot more unification. It's a lot more. We're in this together, which is why I've been saying this for the past 11 years. It is so true. We're in this together. So how do we be a leader without really trying to be a leader? I'm going to talk about it in this show. We're going to break it down. We're going to get into it. I'm going to give you some books, just because I'm a big reader, that you can read to teach, don't read to learn, read to teach, embody it. Put it in that cellular memory. So let's just set the intention that by the end of this podcast, listening to my voice, that you're not just listening to Drew, the identity of Drew. You're listening to an aspect of you that already knows what Drew knows in this moment. And I'm just giving you the codes, baby. I'm just leveling you up. And we're doing it together, so it's free. I'm not charging anything for this, so just receive it. So if you're in your house and you're feeling called to put your hands on your heart, just receive this message. If you're driving and you're not in a Tesla that's driving for you, then do not put your hands on your heart, but just know that I'm with you, and I want every podcast to be like that. So leadership, one of my favorite topics, because I believe leaders are changing the face of humanity quicker than anything else. We need everybody to lead now. So it doesn't matter if you're an entrepreneur. It doesn't matter if you run a really highly successful business or a coaching practice or you're a physical therapist with thousands of clients all over the world or whatever it is. It doesn't matter. What matters is today you are a leader, and we're going to own that without really trying to Own it. It's going to be cool. Let's see where this takes us, shall we? Welcome to the Drew and you Show. I'm Drew Canole, and I am elated to be talking about this topic.
So if you haven't listened to any of my other podcasts so far, one of the things I'm gonna catch you up to speed on is I didn't come from a family that taught me how to be a leader. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Blue collar, bottom of the middle class in Michigan, Lake City, Michigan. My parents. What they did teach me, though, was how to have the biggest heart. My mom has the most gigantic heart out of any human I've ever met. And that's leadership. We're going to talk more about that because that's one of the things in this. But how to physically be a leader, how to build systems, how to hire employees, how to set up profit sharing with companies and all the ins and the outs of the marketing, split testing ads and setting up funnels like our parent. My parents never taught me how to do that. They didn't know anything about money. They didn't know anything about the legal system. They didn't know any of the stuff where we're headed with leadership today. And that's a great thing because it allows us to learn day in and day out. But it wasn't a great thing for my ego because my ego, edging God out, wanted to prove. So I spent the majority of the beginning of my life trying to prove what a effective leader I was. And when I was in the proving state of showing people how cool I was as a leader and the things that I could buy because of my leadership and the employees that I had, I'm real cool as this leader. It was the most ineffective leadership that I could imagine, and I wasn't happy with myself. So I'd drink every weekend because I knew my leadership sucked. I'd continue to read and do things that I thought would add to my leadership, but I was just adding on a broken, wounded child.
Wow.
Sometimes it's. I'm such an eternal optimist, it's hard for me to go back and actually feel what that feels like. And I want to be with you. Yeah, very real. Try to prove everything. And even in my relationships, it was the watches and the car. Hey, let me take you to the nicest restaurant, baby. In my 20s, and.
I needed all that. I needed the lessons that came with how not to do things because I fell on my face over and over. You guys because when the ego's in the seat, whatever money you do make, the ego likes to spend that money because it keeps you at the wealth frequency in which you're already at. And my wealth frequency was bankrupt. I was broke because I had no self love, I had no self worth. So as a leader with no self worth and with no self love, then you're going to try to do anything in the world to get people to like you. You can be the biggest, the world's biggest people pleaser. And that's exhausting because your authenticity goes out the window. And when your authenticity is out the window, you have no intuition, you have no self respect, you have no reverence, you have no self love. All for the sake of being somebody in the eyes of other people. That seems like a pretty mundane existence. And also when we have no self love, no self respect, we get in these toxic relationships.
Anybody been in a toxic relationship? I know I have. You put up with things way too long. I was actually in a relationship where the girl hit me in the face. It was a regular occurrence. And I, something inside of me loved it. Because the abuse that I went through as a child, I calculated that as love. Oh, she just loves me. It's the way she's showing love.
So if you've been in a relationship like that, my friend, I want to highly encourage you, if you're in one now, to exit quickly.
Real quickly, because you are worth it, you are loved. And regardless of the toxic relationship, I know it can be hard, especially during COVID times. We want to hang on to what we got, but don't do that. Life is so short. Life is, and it's over. So move away, get away from that. And the fastest way to do that is just elevate your frequency. Because everything.
That doesn't serve the frequency in which you're in, so you vibrate higher and higher is just going to simply leave anyway. It doesn't add up. It's going to be toxic for the toxic person if you're just radiating joy and love because for whatever reason you magnetize that in this realm. Also, when we're trying to prove to be a leader, we're treating our bodies like garbage can, right? Eating make a D's and Taco Bell and all these toxic foods. And I sabotaged myself big time. I was 40 pounds overweight. I was out of shape, running a credit and debt settlement company, feeling like a fraud. I'm a leader. I'm out of shape.
And in many ways I think it's because when we are so busy. We're trying to please everybody else. We don't have time for ourselves. And you've heard me talk about self love. You've heard me talk about my morning ritual. I have a video that's had millions of views on YouTube talking about morning rituals. And through setting up the appropriate rituals, I was running from so much pain. Because you can chase pleasure or you can run away from pain. And in the beginning, it was a mixture of both. For me, I wanted to get away from my old life. I saw my death and a dream that I had. I saw five people at my funeral. On the current timeline that I was at, I didn't make an impact. I was a joke in the dream. So I woke up from the dream and I was like, oh, God, I gotta take action. I gotta change my life. I get to live in my heart a lot more. I get to really do something that serves humanity, serves my purpose. And all that pain, all that darkness, all that trauma that I had from being a child and abused and all the stuff that actually happened to me, I turned it into happening for me. I turned it into rocket fuel. I turned it in. I turned the trauma into fuel, basically. And I had a mentor who told me. I met with him every single day. Frank Scheidler. He said, if you do anything at all for the rest of your life, Drew, make sure you're helping somebody every day. One person every day. And he was the sweetest man. And he still is around. I talk to him often. He looked at me. He's this 89 year old, vital, vibrant source creature walking into a room. You feel goosebumps on you because he just radiates so hot. And he is the biggest lover. Give you a hug. He started JCPenney in Italy with a group. And first time I met him because he's so indoctrinated and lived in the Italian culture for so long. He planted a big kiss on my lips and I was like, whoa, this is new. Like western, you know, boy growing up in Michigan, like, we're not even supposed to hug another man. We got the bro tap. But I learned from Frank every single day. And he was the most. Is the most loving human that I know. And he changed my life. He just poured so much love into me. He was a version of fatherhood that I never had and completely changed my life. So I went off and I thought about that. I'm like, all right, one person. And I heard it in the past, but it never landed. It's like those messages that we get throughout our life that never land because we're too noisy in our minds. So it was in a still space. I was meditating every day with them for 20 minutes. This was like 15 years ago, you guys. And yeah, it just hit me like a ton of bricks. It's one person. How can I change it? What am I excited about? One person, how can I change my life and what am I excited about? One person, how can I impact that? One person per day that changes my life, puts food on the table, helps me, and also that I'm excited about. And I was making a smoothie every day and I was working out in the gym for an hour and a half with no results. And I had always been a fan of going to the gym and working out and pushing it because of the endorphins. I feel good. I wasn't. I was almost addicted to working out. And yeah, that's a tough addiction, guys. That's been my pretty much my whole life. I love the gym, I love the neurochemicals, I love running, I love the, the thrill of expressing depending on dominion over this physical 3D vehicle that we have, this multi dimensional suit. And yeah, so I did that over and over, but I wasn't getting the results.
And sure enough, I met a man who, and I've told this in another podcast recent, that changed my life, he told me about juicing. And I started green juicing every day, 32 ounces. And I would just do nothing other than drinking copious amounts and a whole cadre of cruciferous greens. And as I would drink this juice, it literally was vitalizing every single cell in my body. I felt great. And because I was feeling better, the voltage in my body started to pick up. I had more energy, I didn't need coffee in the afternoon. And I had more purpose because I knew if I could just help one person juice the same way I did, using mother Nature, nothing else outside of mother Nature, that they could heal their body too. So I was teaching in effect. And I knew at the time that YouTube was starting to take off. I had a HD flip cam. I posted it into my computer and I just uploaded a juicing video. Every day, first day, 12 views, killing it. I'm like, wow, this is gonna. This is great. 12 people. I didn't care about the result though, because I was so engrossed in helping one person once a day. That's it. Being totally present, being totally tapped in, tuned into their awareness to actually help them see beyond where they were. And that's it. The Video did it every day. Sure enough, a community started to be built. And I wasn't trying to build a community. I wasn't the old Drew, the Drew that had to prove it wasn't that. I was just lit up about these superfoods, about the amazing medicinal mushrooms that were out there that weren't being talked about back then. Reishi and turkey tail and all these superfoods and mixing it down into a green elixir and drinking it every single day. It was just so simple, but yet so profound. And as people started to join the community, they started to get lit up. And then I realized my soul's purpose is to simply help people feel better in their bodies, help them remove the trauma or the idea of who they are in the moment, every moment, recognize that they are divine being. And the way I do that for the past 11 years has been to help them tune into how good they can feel in every moment, how much joy can they express, how much can they handle? And a big part of that is biologically activating and aligning their body, which I love to do. I've helped one on one coaching students in the very beginning, and then I was group coaching. And then we started Organifi and we built an amazing team around Organifi. Almost 100 souls on this mission currently. And we're just pumped to be at this time and space where five years ago, organics wasn't the way. There was processed food, sugar, dairy, wheat, artificial sweeteners, there's glyphosate, there's herbicides, there's fungicides, there's all this stuff, food. So now we know from being in this for five years that every single person that drinks are green juice, gold red juice, they're getting a premium product, something that's better than anything else on the market space, something that doesn't have the glyphosate and the things in it that are just damaging people's microbiota. So super powerful stuff. And I know that when we send it out, we're setting the intent, we're having the intention as a team. We're inspired, we're moving in spirit, right, to just help one person every day and to be aligned with our soul's purpose, making a positive impact. We're not trying to do anything, guys. So a leader doesn't try to lead. A leader is a teacher by default. A leader is just being, just expressing dominion over the day. A leader is embodying what it takes. A leader is showing everybody else what's possible, even when there's fear even when there's worry, even when the proverbial buildings are crumbling around them. They're the ones that you look to to. They're the joy junkies.
The leaders aren't afraid of death, but they see it. A conscious leader, I would say an evolved leader sees it as just another transition. And there's so many transitions that we've been through, but we forget when we come into this earth realm. It's important to understand how powerful it is as a leader to help your people learn around you. Learning from a place of self respect, self love. So one of the things we've done at Organifi is we've had book club for the past five years. We read a book together every week in the very beginning. And now we have multiple departments so the department actually reads a book together. Because in order to be an effective leader, you have to be elevating the people around you. And you've all heard this. You don't want to be the smartest leader in the room. And it's so true. You actually want to be able to take a seat and trust. Trust is a big thing for conscious leadership. And I've seen so many businesses fail because they just don't trust the right hand man, their right hand gal. And all of a sudden the wheels fall off the bus because you're looking at them, you're changing the observable awareness, quantum physics, quantum mechanics shows this. What we observe changes. You're changing how that person shows up for you. Your reticular activation systems, recognizing it, altering the mirror neurons in your brain are altering what it's seeing and your perceptions, creating the reception of what's coming back to you. So in the moment, it's being intentional and choosing to see the person as whole, as complete is already having the job done the way that it needs to be done in order to impact the most amount of people. And holding space for that.
It's the intention experiment by Lynn Mataggart. Looking at the plant from 2,000 miles away. The plant feels it. If we think we're going to burn our house plant and she wrote about this in the book from 2,000 miles away. The chlorophyll actually spikes when it's hooked up to a polygraph. That's my espresso machine. You guys saying hi this morning? I'm enjoying a nice cup of espresso. It's just such a beautiful morning. The sun's coming up here in Sedona. So what we observe changes. And if we're thinking Those thoughts about somebody. And this goes way beyond leadership. This is about our relationships with any human being. This is about our relationship with any cell in our body, any tissue, any bone, any ligament, how powerful we are, every thought, every word. You're creating a wish. And that wish, that imagination or imagine, I am a genie, you're bringing it out into the observable universe. If you want to get tapped in, then simply start to observe people in their highest order. So super powerful when it comes to conscious leadership.
And I know a lot of you may be thinking, I'm not a leader. I've never leaded anything. And I just, I don't know what to do. I'm not an expert. Right. Maybe that's coming up for you. It only takes you reading, I think, four books to become smarter on one topic than 99% of the population.
You've had so much experience doing the one thing that you'd love to do in your life. So if you just do that, if you just trust and you just know that you are the expert, you are setting that vibration, you are casting it out like the ripple in the universe and you will attract people into your life that actually mirror that back to you. So you are the expert, you are the leader. Already there's tons of people that want to be led by you. Right.
I also think one of the biggest things with conscious leadership is recognizing that everything you do matters. How you show up in every meeting, every interaction, every email, every text matters. So knowing that we develop a different vernacular, we develop a different way of being being from the heart, a being that is connective, being that thinks about the other person before we think about ourselves. And with leadership, a lot of the companies that I see, it's all about the top. It's all about what can I get? And that's a broken system. And that's actually something that we've been transitioning through at Organifi as well. Because that's the old way. The new way is going into the unknown. The new way is, yeah, really being in this together. And I think when we put ourselves in another human being's shoes, when we study the love languages, which I'm such a fan of the five love languages, there's actually eight, by the way. Do you know that the eighth love language is talking to and seeing the person in their highest already being the person that they dream to be and then speaking to that person as if they're already there. So super powerful. That's a beautiful one. And I think as a leader, you do that often as a visionary, it's one of the most powerful things you can do, is just tuning into that and constantly reinforcing whatever dream, whatever goal, whatever they want to do in their life, you are their biggest fan. And attention is heaven is in the details. So what you do matters. If an employee comes to you, and I've done this, where they're going through a breakup and they don't have anybody to help them move out of their house, and your schedule just so perfectly aligns to actually open up and allow you to do that, then you do that. You do whatever it takes. I saw this beautiful thing about wolves. How are the wolves actually when they're in the pack? It's a beautiful image. Maybe I can post it here in the notes, but you've got the five strongest wolves in the front, like the five, the top of the five strongest wolves in the front. And then you have the five in the back. And then in the very back in this image, you actually see that's the apex predator and it's far aways away from the rest of the pack. But that's the leader in the very back because it's scouting, it's watching, it's looking. So the leader is the tail of the airplane. They talked about this in several books as well. It's how can I contribute to the organization the most? And I think sometimes as leaders, we can forget that when the money starts coming in, when it starts to get easy. And I think the. The new leadership, the new paradigm that we're going into is definitely bringing the world together. And all of the penetration, all of the taking, all of that energy is leaving quickly. So I think it's a balance between, like I said, the feminine and the masculine as well. So it's tuning into that. And the way that I do it is I use an app called HeartMath as one of the biohacks you could do. And you just put yourself in heart coherence as much as possible because oftentimes that masculine left brain do leadership puts us in a very systematic. Puts us in a very logical state. And we start tracking the numbers versus the impact. And I think a conscious leader loves tracking impact, loves tracking. How did we really help all these people today? And let's celebrate that in every moment. Celebration frequency is the most powerful frequency there is. So how can you celebrate more as a leader? Is it having a dance party every day? We love dance parties at Organifi. Is it celebrating one person? We do in our team huddle every morning, we do caught Being awesome, which we're acknowledging other people on the team and that's super powerful. As a leader, people would rather take praise over a raise more often than not, especially the millennial generation. So how are you praising people?
That's another one. And how are you, as we're talking about the five love languages, how are you gifting your people? How are you giving them gifts that they need before they know they need it? See, that's a whole nother level of gift giving and that's something that will forever change another human being's life. So that's super powerful as well, something that you can do. I think a conscious leader also ties their business to other companies and non profits and other service based to humanity, making it a better place that is trackable. That way people feel it, they're contributing to something bigger than themselves. So setting up the mission that way, setting up the movement that way is super powerful. And a book I read in the very beginning was Brains on Fire and it's how to start a movement. So he breaks it down exactly how to do it, which I think is a very potent transmission from this guy that he should check out too. And I can put that in the show notes, maybe we'll have him on. But in the beginning it was one person. How can I be totally present? How can I help them as much as possible?
And doing that over and over again has built our community, I believe millions of people all over the world. And I'm just so blessed to be in this seat now. So with all that being said, that's how we show up in business. We get present, we dial it in, we put ourselves in the other person's shoes, we get into a heart coherent state, we're amplifying the frequency when we collectively gather together towards that one goal, towards that one thing that we want to accomplish, that's impossible because it has to be impossible.
Because that's exciting. So to keep that excitement to go into the unknown every day, how are we going to do this? To set timelines and deliverables in a very balanced masculine and feminine way so people aren't getting burnt out. Right. A leader also teaches them by demonstration how they pour self love into themselves. So if you're the leader that's legitimately working 14 hours a day, not pouring any time love and attention into yourself, you're setting a bad example. So self love rituals, pouring more into yourself than you've ever poured into you because you need it. This human journey Earth school can be a bumpy ride. And when we really see that. And when we really start holding space for ourselves, that wounded child starts to grab the hand of the divine child. That higher self starts to come down into the 3D. The fifth dimension bridges the gap, and it pulls us forward into this unknown place of joy, serenity, peace.
You just feel it's a shift, and that's where leadership is headed. So if you love this episode, please go over to itunes, click the like, leave a review, let me know what you think there, and also share it with somebody that maybe is just starting out as a leader, or they're running a company that could use some help being a little bit more conscious in it, but also maybe they're headed in the right direction, too. And you just want to share from your heart. That's all it takes.
Because remember.
You already are a leader. You don't have to try to be a leader. What you get to do, what you're blessed to do, is to simply demonstrate.
What it's like to be a remarkable human being.
Somebody that sees the world through wonder and awe. And they use that vision and they cast it on every single person they come in contact with, someone who invests in skills and training to become a better version of who they are so that they can impart that on other people. They can teach.
And when you do this enough.
You'Ll feel it. They'll feel it. Every single human being in your world will feel the shift. And that's powerful. And together we rise, my friend. Together.
We create so much more love on this planet, and it's a beautiful thing. So I love that you listen to this. It's more business leadership, but it has everything to do with your life, regardless of if you're running a company or not. And I think it's so timely today. So thank you for listening. And by feeling it, we shift, we change the energy, and we go more into the unknown, which is a beautiful place to be. So how to be a leader without trying. Thank you for listening to the episode. I'm Drew Canole on the Drew and you podcast. Make it a great day.
