Brandon’s Chronic Shoulder Pain is Gone - PRP Injections

Short patient interview (December 7, 2023 upload) in which Brandon Lynn describes pre-treatment disability from left shoulder pain, his experience receiving a two-injection PRP “silver” package at Pinnacle Integrative Orthopedics (first injection in July, second in September), rapid relief (about three days), minimal downtime (returned to work same day), and strong endorsement of the treatment. The video frames PRP as a non-surgical biologic option that restored Brandon’s ability to work overhead and resume recreational activities (golf, shooting).

Okay. We are here with Brandon Lynn.
Yes, sir.
Yeah. Thank you for coming today. Thank you for agreeing to talk to us.
Yes.
So Brandon is one of our silver package members. We treated your left shoulder and if you're comfortable, given your age. How old are you, Brandon?
47.
All right, so sorry.
48.
Just a little. Just a touch older than me. Okay, so tell us, you know, and so the silver package is that's two PRP injections and we did yours about six weeks or two months apart.
Yes, sir.
And we started. Your first injection was in July. Your second injection was in September.
Correct.
And then what was life like before your treatment? What were you unable to do that made you upset?
I couldn't hardly really work. I couldn't lift my arm up, I couldn't lay on my side, I couldn't swing a golf club.
Pretty much just everyday living was. Was down, you know, had restrained from doing what I really like to do.
Right, right. And what do you do for work?
Right now? I do air conditioning work, but so.
A lot of overhead.
Overhead, yeah. Overhead, yeah. Absolutely.
And so what finally triggered you to come in and meet our medical staff here at Pinnacle?
Well, my mother in law had surgery done by you. And she didn't have no, I mean, no pain, nothing. And my wife, she works in medical field. She said that there's other decisions other than other options besides surgery. Exactly. So. And that's why that's between my mother in law and my wife telling me I need to come see you then.
And that's our goal. Right. Is to give people more options than just surgery. Exactly. And so what kind of concerns did you have prior to the procedure?
I was just worried that it was kind of a waste of time maybe, you know, to be honest, because it's.
A lot of money. Right. We're spending some money on it. Right, right.
But then, then again, in the long run, said if it could just help a little bit, you know, then save me the process of having surgery and the time off work and, you know, it's worth the try.
Yeah. Because what's the money that we spend on the package versus being down for a year.
Exactly. Yeah. And I didn't miss a day of work. You know, it's easy to come in, have the therapies done. I mean, it's a quick process.
What was the procedure like for you?
It was. I'm not gonna say it wasn't painful, but it's just a little bit painful. It's definitely bearable. It's different, you know, just. It's Kind of a different feeling.
Yeah.
But other than that, it. I mean, it lasts maybe. Maybe an hour. And it went. It goes right away, you know. I mean, it don't stop you from doing anything. It's just. It just feels like you're kind of full or something.
Exactly.
But I know it's. The procedure is nothing. I mean, it's. Anybody can. I think my son can handle it himself, you know?
Yeah. We try and make it as easy as possible. Takes about an hour here in the office.
Not super long.
What kind of downtime did you have?
After our injections, I'm working two blocks away.
So I would leave here and I'd drive to work, get on the elevator and go to the 10th floor, and I kind of felt just a little bit of weight, added weight. But 30 minutes after that, I was good.
We would typically want you to take maybe a week or two off of work. Usually about three to five days. We start. When did you. So you returned to work the same day?
Yes.
Okay.
But I mean, I wasn't really doing a lot.
When did you find that you started to feel some relief after the injections?
I want to say about three days. Yeah, about three days. I mean, it really. And maybe quicker on the second one.
What's life like now? What are you able to do now that you couldn't do in the past?
Swinging a golf club. I'm shooting my guns again. Rifles and working. It's raffle season, too. Yeah. I work overhead a lot. You know, I can hold my arm up without, you know, pain. And it's definitely better. I mean, I recommend it to anybody that has shoulder problem problems.
Absolutely. Thank you.
I really do. It's. It, It. It's a game changer, really. It really is. I mean, I thought I was going to have to spend four months in a, you know, in therapy with, you know, shoulder surgery and all that, but this here's fixed me up good, man. I'm so happy. It. Actually, my right shoulder hurts worse than my left shoulder now, and I'm going to come back and get that fixed up. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
So what would you tell somebody who's considering Pinnacle Integrative Orthopedics in our. In our wellness programs or.
Or biologics programs? I would tell them about the program, tell them what they do, and I would tell them that it is definitely a game changer. No matter your age. I don't think. Young, old, this doctor right here will. If he don't have to do surgery, he's not going to do surgery, you know you're going to do what's best for your patients.
Well, thank you.
And I recommend having the silver plan or gold plan. Whatever he recommends is worth it to you.
Well, thank you.
I really do.
All right, well, Brandon, we really appreciate you. Show me. Let's see that left shoulder and get it all the way up and around there. Working great.
Yeah, I couldn't do that. I couldn't do that in July. Yeah.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
