Okay, I'm here with Alexa Daniel. Alexa, if you don't mind, can I have your age please?
I am 25 years old.
Okay, fantastic. Tell me what life was like before your treatment. We have, we have done a PRP program on her left knee.
Yes.
And we just completely completed that about almost a month and a half to 2 months ago. She was in some severe pain with this.
Yes.
It was a real problem. Tell me what life was like before your treatment.
Before the— right before the treatment, I was not able to run. I'm Very active. I used to be able to work out, run, practice with my athletes, and I got to where I couldn't do any of that. I couldn't squat at all. And so I came in to see Dr. Schacter and had some PRP injections done.
What finally triggered you to come in and see me and learn about your options?
I wasn't able to, to be me. I was just stuck, and sitting on the sidelines during practice was, was tough for me. I couldn't get out there and compete.
Okay, what kinds of concerns did you have prior to our procedure?
I was worried about the shots, obviously, the needles, but it wasn't, it wasn't bad at all.
What was the procedure like for you?
It was very easy. The team here is amazing. They were very personable. The treatment was very— it wasn't uncomfortable at all, maybe just a couple seconds of uncomfortableness, and then The procedure was done and out the door I went, and it was, it was a little sore, which was expected, but outside of that it was not hard at all.
And what kind of downtime did you have after our program?
3 days, and then I was up walking and stuff again. And day 4, I was just slowly working back into, but 3 days was, 2 days for sure down of just taking it easy, and then by day 3 I was up moving around again.
And then when did you go back to work?
I went back to work the next day.
Okay, okay. So what's life like now?
It is back to normal. I am back to working out, competing with the athletes. I'm able to squat. I do a lot of squatting and work just watching, and I'm able to do all that now.
And you can do— what can you really do that you weren't able to do before you met us?
That deep squat of just kneeling and watching. Oh yeah, that's— I couldn't do that at all.
Okay, what would you tell somebody that's considering coming to Pinnacle Integrative Orthopedics to learn about these?
Just go ahead, do it. It is worth it, 100%.
And anything that you want to say, anything that you want to talk about with our team, any—
Oh, your team is absolutely amazing. They constantly— you, Dr. Schacter, checked in on me. Your team checked in on me personally throughout the The whole treatment plan multiple times. How are you? They come in, they call you by your first name, they talk to you about your life. Very not just— you're not just the next patient.
Oh, thank you so much. All right, I want a hug because you're incredible. This young lady, really amazing. Thank you so much for doing well. This young lady, incredible. We're going to keep her nice and healthy. We're going to keep that knee fit.
